Speaker 1 (00:00):
Especially in the Jamie Morning Show with DJ Foreign and
Sauty when.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
You need to know, No, we got you three things
you need to know on Bunton's number one for hip
hop and the best throwbags.

Speaker 3 (00:11):
She haven't any wore vives the book at.

Speaker 4 (00:15):
Miss read and he said what happened? And you'll hear
her words through Firefighter not all.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
She said, I hit him, I hit him, I hit him.

Speaker 5 (00:25):
This case is the very definition of reasonable doubt. And
at the end of this trial, we'll ask you to
return the only verdicts, all three of them, that are
consistent with the evidence, the science, the truth, and justice.
Not guilty, not guilty.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
Not guilty.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
Wednesday, April twenty third, Daddy al over there putting on
a show. He was like, I did curls before this, honey,
I'm ready.

Speaker 3 (00:53):
By the way, Alan Jackson, how are we feeling about
the scroft.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
I don't love the way that his beard is shaped.

Speaker 4 (01:01):
Shaved face though, does he yes?

Speaker 1 (01:04):
I just think his beard doesn't really connect up into
the end to the cyburns that kind of goes down
to the jaw line.

Speaker 4 (01:09):
Chan chin to jaw area. His face is already a
little wed over there, looks a little Yeah, the bed
looks a little off. I liked him cleaning me too.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
If I had I had to vote, I would have
gone clean. But a that's that doesn't matter.

Speaker 4 (01:23):
He came, he came to stand on benness.

Speaker 5 (01:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
I mean, listen, we saw two two stark differences in
the way they lawyer, if you will. Hank Brendan was
up first, and Hank was like, listen, I don't need
a lot of time because you're going to hear from
a paramedic today. Who is going to tell you that
Karen said I hit him. I hit him, I hit him.
I am going to show you the facts that are
going to prove that. The evidence is going to prove that.

(01:48):
And that's it. There's nothing more for me to say.
It was quick, It was to the point, here's what's
going to be by see you later.

Speaker 3 (01:54):
And then the showman came up. Alan Jackson is Hollywood,
he bleeds Hollywood.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
Bro. He went up there and it was electric. The
man put on a show. They're just very, very different
in their approaches. First witnesses taking the stand. We had
the paramedic that Hank Brennan had referred to, who said
he got out of the vehicle. He immediately went over
to assess John's body, which, by the way, he said,
he referred to it as like a cardiac arrest with

(02:20):
hypothermia because he said his body was so cold. And
he said when he turned to Karen and said, do
you have a relation to this man, relationship with this man?

Speaker 3 (02:27):
Do you know him? She said, I hit him, I
hit him, I hit him.

Speaker 1 (02:32):
Oh, man doesn't paint well, no.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
It does not.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
Alan Jackson then hops off and he says, Okay, you're
saying she said I hit him, I hit him, I
hit him. But the first time, the first round we
did this, you said, she only said it twice. Either way,
here's the thing for me, I don't care if you
said it two or three times. Yeah, he's sticking to
his story that she said it so to me whatever.
That doesn't But his point is he thinks they were
coaching him up to say, oh, she said it a

(02:58):
third time.

Speaker 3 (02:59):
It doesn't matter. I don't care if she said it once.
If she said it she said, it could be the case.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
But for the jury to hear that were right out
that gate, that's a tough tha.

Speaker 4 (03:05):
That's it first thing they hear. And he was masterful
and making this do he walked this guy down the
path and then just kind of told him and that
contradicted what what I said last time.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
Oh see, so you're thinking Alan, like, in your opinion,
Alan Jackson won out of that. Yes see, I don't think.
I think I think the opposite. I think it was
established that she said the words I hit him. And
to me, whether she said it once, twice or three times,
he remembers that she said it, and that like, what
does it matter if she said it three times or once?

Speaker 1 (03:33):
Yeah, said, that's how I feel, especially if this is
day one. That's the first thing I hear.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
Now, you could say that Alan did a good job
of lawyering out that maybe she said it twice, maybe
should it three times, but she still said it.

Speaker 4 (03:45):
Because then because then there was one thing where he
was like, oh, you remember the clothes that he had on,
and you said you would definitely show that he had
on a jacket and or a hoodie a son like that.
He was like, Yep, that's what you said. The first time.
He's like yep, and not what are you saying? Oh no,
remember it differently. Actually, the other one who told me
that he was in different clothes. So he tried to
nippick and be like, so, how was your memory when
he was closer to the to the incident not as good?

(04:07):
But now all of a sudden years later, you're trying
to tell me your shop as a time.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
If he's wavering on whether John had on a hoodie
or a sweatshirt, okay, but he's not wavering that she
said I hit him.

Speaker 4 (04:17):
And I hit what you're saying that to me? But
Jackson's whole thing is just to show that you're not
really you're not really showing what you're saying exactly part.

Speaker 3 (04:26):
That you're referring to, just to give a little context
to it.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
When when the paramedic when he got into the ambulance
with John's body, at that point they had incubated him
and he was the one giving John his breath, right,
So his point was like, no, I wasn't paying attention
to exactly what clothes he was wearing because I was
the one once that was my job.

Speaker 3 (04:46):
That is my job, which I.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
Also like, that's what I want him to do. You know,
he shouldn't be concentrating on it. Whether his shirt was red, blue, white,
or yellow. I don't know I thought his tessiment was
pretty good. I also thought again, yeah, he might have
wavered on a couple other things of like the details
of what was he wearing jeans, But he she said
it to him that he was clear on, and I
just think that stands out to the jury. She might

(05:09):
have said it once, she might have said it twice,
min said it three times, but that is what she
said with a bloody covered face.

Speaker 3 (05:14):
Then we have Carrie Roberts. Carrie Roberts was shell.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
Karen called Carrie at five am and said John's dead.
John's dead, and then she hangs up, and then she
calls Carrie back, and her and Carrie and Jennifer McCabe
go on this journey of trying to find John O'Keeffe
because you know, she's telling them Karen that is John
didn't come home. I don't know where he is. They

(05:39):
actually go to John's house first, and Carrie explains this,
They kind of went to a couple of rooms they
looked for John. John wasn't there. Then Karen says, we
have to go to this house. Carry Roberts is like,
I've never been to this house, Like I don't know
how to get to this house, and then Carrie describes
driving from John O'Keeffe's home to thirty four fair of View,
and she said, quote, I was whiteing. That is how

(06:01):
bad the snow was. I was petrified driving. It was treacherous.

Speaker 3 (06:04):
She said.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
We pulled up to thirty four very fairview, and you
could see nothing like views obstructed. You could see nothing.
And she goes and all of a sudden, Karen is
in the back seat freaking out there. He is, let
me out of this car, let me.

Speaker 3 (06:15):
And carry robertson there. Who is she couldn't see? I
don't know, dude.

Speaker 1 (06:20):
I So it almost paints a picture that she knew
that she was.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
Yeah, that is how I was taking it yesterday. And
then they get out of the car. That's when they
see John's body. Now, mind you, something else I thought
was important that carry said. She said that Karen Reid
made it a point to say, look at my tail light.

Speaker 3 (06:40):
Look at my tail light. It's broken.

Speaker 2 (06:42):
Now timeline wise, remember Karen and her team's trying to
tell us, oh, no, it broke. When she pulled out
of the car out of the driveway of John's, she
hit that back car. She hit John's parked car, whatever.
But Carrie is saying no, no, no. She pointsed out
the tailight to me it was already broken.

Speaker 1 (07:00):
It's fine, man, I go back and forth. I don't know,
like depending on the day, depending on stuff that I
it's wild.

Speaker 2 (07:06):
They wrapped up everything around three forty six yesterday. I
remember because I specifically looked at my phone and saw
that it was a little before four. And I don't
know if that was when court was supposed to be
over or not. But Kerry Roberts was still on the
stand and there was a weird sidebar that happened. Then
Judge beb was like, all right, we're wrapping up Kerry.
You'll be back on the stand first thing tomorrow morning.
Now Alan hasn't got his paws on Kerry Roberts yet.

Speaker 3 (07:27):
That will be today. The fireworks in this case, I
gotta be daily.

Speaker 4 (07:30):
Can I also mention you, Knon was sharp yesterday? My
man came in a suit. Y'all didn't notice the suit
that he was wearing too. The prosecutor what's his name,
the Lloyd Brennan, Brennan, My bad. He came in sharp. Boy.
I've never seen him in like a three piece suit.

Speaker 3 (07:47):
He was ready for his close up. No listen, he's.

Speaker 4 (07:49):
Going against Jay and you know Jackson, he comes over
there shop as attacked. So my man came over there
with his cousin and anything. I noticed he had a
nice head cutting and all that.

Speaker 2 (07:57):
Yeah, and by the way, for in per your prediction,
the fifteen second clip that they showed was from the
dateline where Karen was like, did I hit him? Like? Did?

Speaker 3 (08:05):
I don't know? Did I hit him? And I thought
to myself, did I hit where?

Speaker 2 (08:08):
She? And and he basically like that is an admission
of guilt.

Speaker 3 (08:13):
I don't know if you guys thought this too when
you were watching.

Speaker 2 (08:19):
It was like making me kind of sick to my
stomach every time they would show John O'Keefe's mother, I
mean that poor woman, like she looks so broken and
not I mean not that, but I just I wanted
to go hug her because now we're doing this over
sit and watch it here the text messages and all
the by the way, Procter came up a ton and

(08:40):
Alan Jackson basically said, I'm gonna be able to give
you reasonable doubt as soon as I tell you about
a man named Michael Proctor.

Speaker 3 (08:47):
Don't you worry.

Speaker 2 (08:48):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (08:48):
They will be back in court for Day two today
at nine. A. M.

Speaker 2 (08:58):

from a bone bruise in his right wrist.

Speaker 3 (09:04):
Here's Missoula talking about him at practice.

Speaker 1 (09:06):
Hey, he was able to do some stuff.

Speaker 5 (09:08):
You know, he was sore after the game.

Speaker 4 (09:09):
It's got a little bit better today.

Speaker 5 (09:11):
He's able to go through some.

Speaker 1 (09:12):
Some on court work and you know, I'll go from there.

Speaker 3 (09:15):
Day to day daylight.

Speaker 1 (09:17):
It's a bruise, right like you can get out.

Speaker 3 (09:20):
Doubtful.

Speaker 2 (09:21):
He's not playing because they know they're going to beat
the Magic anyway, So give him a rest.

Speaker 3 (09:24):
If it's hurting.

Speaker 1 (09:25):
Fye, but you miss just one game, you don't miss
too right, because you've got to make sure you win.

Speaker 2 (09:29):

a good place though. Peyton Pritchard just named NBA's six
