Speaker 1 (00:01):
Especially and the Jamie Morisha with DJ Foreign and Saunty When.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
You need to know, No, we got you three things
you need to know on Boston's number one for hip
hop and the best throwbags you haven't any more. Five.

Speaker 3 (00:15):
He looked up at Miss Read and he said, what happened?

Speaker 4 (00:19):
And you'll hear her words to a firefighter not.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
All She said, I hit him, I hit him, I
hit him.

Speaker 5 (00:27):
This case is the very definition of reasonable doubt. And
at the end of this trial, we'll ask you to
return the only verdicts, all three of them, that are
consistent with the evidence, the science, the truth, and justice.
Not guilty, not guilty.

Speaker 4 (00:45):
Not guilty.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
Wednesday, April twenty third, and it was the battle of
the lawyers yesterday, Hank Brennan versus Alan Jackson in opening statements,
couldn't possibly have more of two opposite youre yeah, I mean,
Hank was like, these are the facts.

Speaker 4 (01:04):
This is what I'm going to show you. She said
she did it, bye.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
But Allen comes in guns bleasing like yeah, drama.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
Uh now, listen, we were waiting to see what video,
in fact, Hank Brandan was gonna show. He showed a
clip from Karen's interview with Dateline where she's like, yeah,
I did go home and think did I hit him?

Speaker 4 (01:23):
Did I hit him? You know, and it's just it
just doesn't look good.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
Yeah, because the thing is, if you didn't hit him,
you would be adamant that you did not right.

Speaker 3 (01:31):
But she was trying to make a point that, oh,
you know, this is how it felt at first, but
then I changed, you know what I mean. My lawyer
was like no, no, no, this is but still you
said it verbally. That's the tough thing. Yeah, and you like,
I don't quite like, no, why did you even say that?

Speaker 1 (01:45):
Just be quiet like OJ from the beginnings that he
didn't do it, but we all know he did.

Speaker 4 (01:50):
He was going for a joy ride, like I don't understand.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
But yeah, I mean listen, if we're talking like which
one put on a better show, there's no question and
then it's daddy l I mean, the man is just
like lifting weights and defending people in the courtroom.

Speaker 4 (02:04):
It's what he does best.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
Two witnesses took the stand yesterday, one of which was
the paramedic that responded to the call. He talked about
how he assessed John O'Keefe's very cold body. You know,
in the front lawn thirty four fair View. He then said,
he turns to Karen read she was covered in blood,
and he asked, what's your relation? Do you know this man?
And she said three times? I hit him, I hit him,
I hit him. Alan Jackson then gets up and he's like, well, listen,

(02:28):
you said the first trial that she only said it twice.
Now you're saying it three times. Did you meet with
Hank Brennan. Did he coach you up to say this?
Certainly trying to poke some holes in his story, give
some reasonable doubt either way. He makes it very clear
whether it was two or three times she did say
I hit him. Then we had Carry Roberts, who was
with Karen when she found John's body. She got a

(02:48):
call from Karen at five am and she said, Karen
screamed to the phone.

Speaker 4 (02:52):
John's dead. She hangs up. She then wakes her husband,
and her husband's like.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
He's he probably just fell asleep on someone's house, you know,
or someone's house they crashed on their coach, you know.
They called a few hospitals, they called the non emergency
line to be like, do you guys know anything. They
then decide all right, we're gonna go. Look, we're gonna
go to John O'Keeffe's home. He is obviously not there.
They get in the car Carry. Roberts describes driving as

(03:18):
white knuckling. She said it was treacherous. She pulls up
the thirty four fair of view road. She's never been there,
she doesn't know how to get it. They shouldn't be
on the road. It's a legit blizzard and she goes
out of nowhere. Karen's start screaming.

Speaker 4 (03:28):
Light me out of the car. There he is, there,
he is, and She's like, I couldn't see anything, it
was so snowy U.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
Karen hops out of the car and then obviously we
know what happened from there.

Speaker 4 (03:38):
Now they end the corp a little bit before four.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
Carrie Roberts is now expected back on the stand here
this morning, probably around nine ish.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
Again.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
I'm sure we'll look at the fan for five to
ten and then day two will get underway. I know
Alan Jackson is voting to get to Carry.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
But already it's been so exciting. Already the whole dramatics
have been great.

Speaker 4 (03:59):
Oh, it's just exactly what we thought it would be.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
And even though we've heard these testimonies before you're just
like waiting to hear something like oh my god. You
know one thing Carry Roberts said too is Karen made
it very clear to her. She showed her like, look
at my tail light, Like my tail light has broke.

Speaker 1 (04:16):
Why I don't like that. I don't like that.

Speaker 4 (04:18):
That's weird to me.

Speaker 2 (04:19):
And then and then the call at five am gonna
be like, he's dead. Why are you saying that there's listen,
there's But again, that doesn't mean she did it.

Speaker 4 (04:25):
I'm just saying those things are off.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
So Carry Roberts back on the stand today for day two.
Our guy Nick Rocco will join us Friday at seven
point thirty to give us the weekly recap. Celts back
in action tonight. They are up one on the Magic
Game two of the series. The big question mark is JT.
Here's coach Missoula on his injury.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
Heay, he was able to do some stuff.

Speaker 5 (04:48):
He was sore after the game.

Speaker 3 (04:49):
It's got a little bit better today.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
He's able to go through some some on court work
and you know, I'll go from.

Speaker 4 (04:55):
There day to day.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
He's suffering from a bone bruise in his right wrist.
They're calling him doubtful for tonight.

Speaker 4 (05:01):
He's not playing. He's not playing.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
But if he's just sore, like he just said, can
he play for a little bit.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
Oh, let's rest him up, all right, Let's rust him
up this series. Okay, we need it, we need him
at the end.

Speaker 4 (05:11):
Let him rest.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
And besides, we got to give some love to our guy,
Peyton Pritcher. He can step up to the plate. He's
been named the NBA's six Man of the Year. Game
two tips tonight at seven pm. Tina Knowles is opening
up Beyonce's mother about her journey with breast cancer. She
has an upcoming memoir coming out entitled Matriarch, and here

(05:32):
she is doing an interview talking about the fact that
she was blindsided by her breast cancer diagnosis, but her
girls stuck with her the whole time.

Speaker 6 (05:39):
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in my left breast.
I've always tried to take care of myself and I
was in disbelief. It was stage one, which I thought
was the earliest stage. And then when I told my sister,
she said, no, actually there's a zero. So if I
had gone for my Mammo Graham, I would have got
it at the zero stage. Thank god, it was still
very headspread. It was a very slow spreading cancer.

Speaker 4 (06:05):
She said. She feels like she took it well.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
She said her mind was just going and Solange would
tell her, like, we're going to take care of this.
It's gonna be okay. This story immediately made me. Look,
I'm thirty eight. I'm gonna be thirty nine this year.
You gotta start getting your mammograms at forty. Sometimes I
suggest even earlier, but yeah, it's important, stay on it,
stay up. You know, they always say, I don't know
if you guys know this, but for us to check

(06:28):
and feel for like something as hard as a pen cap,
that's what you're looking for if you do like a
self breast examination. But either way, certainly start to start
your mammograms at forty.

Speaker 4 (06:37):
Get ahead of it.

Speaker 1 (06:38):
If you need a second opinion.

Speaker 4 (06:39):
I am here, walked right into the left, the lowest
sucked right into that.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
That is three things they need to know for Wednesday,
April the twenty third.

Speaker 4 (06:49):
Kendricks on this song, so I feel like it can count.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
Go ahead to leave your name, your city, and your
favorite Kendricks song, and you might just be going to
Kendrick and SISSM on the talk Back Morning
