Speaker 1 (00:00):
Pick Abloshi and the jam In Morning Show with DJ
fourn It's Sad Morning, Susin's.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Number one for hip hop jam In ninety four or five.

Speaker 3 (00:12):
I feel like at this point it's safe to have
this conversation, but I am gonna say this. Spoiler alert
spoiler alert, spoiler alert in case you have not seen
episode two of the Last of Us on Max Damn.

(00:32):
I've watched a lot of zombie things in my time,
and I'm only talking about this because dare I say
that was one of the best episodes in the post
apocalyptic world and what it could potentially look like that
I've ever seen.

Speaker 4 (00:46):
I think you're right.

Speaker 5 (00:48):
You definitely feel the anxiety that one would feel if
if they were getting attacked by a pack of zombies.

Speaker 3 (00:53):
Put it this way, The actors in like the extra scenes,
thank God for and told me that those exist. They
were saying that the makeup and the fact that they
were filming in an actual snowstorm was so realistic that
they were They're like, it wasn't really acting because it
was kind of scary, Like it was actually scary out there.
I think we talk about all the time. I don't

(01:15):
know if you guys do this, but I with my friends,
I'll be like I want. The zombies from The Walking
Dead are slow, they're easy targets, like.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
You know, it's a one kill shot to the head.
They're not chasing you down, you know.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
Then you go to the levels of like a World
War Z zombie that they're wiping out half the world
quite to see you later, instant gone. The levels of
the zombies in the Last of Us really scare me
because what we're learning is they're starting to evolve, they're adapting,
and in the other in the other series, I feel

(01:48):
like that we've seen there they just are what.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
They are, you know, they don't change.

Speaker 3 (01:52):
In the Last of Us, these things are getting smarter,
which is scary.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
Bro using dead bodies to stay warm in the snow.

Speaker 3 (02:02):
Laying docile waiting to be awoken. I mean, we all
we know now that they case people, they watch what,
they watch your movements. They're hiding from you, they're chasing
you down, they're stalking.

Speaker 4 (02:14):
You, which is scary to think. Again, you won't know.

Speaker 5 (02:19):
The other part about is that they're communicating through the
roots too, So are they just calling more and more
and if they find like a conclave of people they
just Yeah.

Speaker 6 (02:27):
That was a wild scene when the world riding the
horses and all of a sudden they being chased, and
then the mob just turned yeah, went and joined the
other mob and then.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
Went back yeah to the city. And I was like, whoa.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
We always talk about, you know, the shows that we're watching,
and then I feel like you guys will start to
watch them and you'll message me the last of us.
Now it's season two now, but I will say I'm
somebody who watches it with the blinders because it's from
a video game, and I obviously never played the video games,
so I knew nothing. But this last episode, episode two,
they killed off the.

Speaker 4 (02:58):
Main which is wild to think, but that.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
Is exactly how it happens in the video game, to
the point where they literally did a duel like a
side by side so you could see the scene in
the video game and the scene in the actual episode.

Speaker 7 (03:09):
In it was to a t listen, I understand that,
but I don't feel like the average person played that
video game. That video game was big, but it wasn't
like like the masses, right, Yeah, So I think this
was shocking for everybody.

Speaker 5 (03:22):
I was not prepared for that. I thought he was
just going to be fine her, but all of a
sudden she stuck to think to his neck. I'm like,
oh my god, he's gone.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
Yeah, I mean you.

Speaker 3 (03:30):
Could take like if he was surviving it by the
time Ellie got in there, it was he was going
to be paralyzed a minimum like that. That scene of
like the massive war that took place on Jackson Hole
gave me old school Game of Thrones vibes, like HBO
did a fantastic job.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
I mean, that whole episode was just ten out of ten.

Speaker 5 (03:53):
Can't imagine what that must have cost, but that must
have been filming like a real film. So I assumed
to film that episode it's upwards a ten million, which
the watch for.

Speaker 3 (04:02):
It gave me the feel of like Battle of the
Bastards like in Game of Thrones, and there was just
such a hype around it.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
And what's that big joint that that like the the
monster zombie.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
Like, what is that we saw that in season one though?

Speaker 1 (04:15):
Season one?

Speaker 5 (04:15):
Yeah, they're thinking and plotting. There has to be a
central person connected to this whole thing, like something that's
commanding the entire thing.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
That's what I'm getting.

Speaker 3 (04:23):
So I was under the impression I thought, Okay, if
Tommy kills the giant, they're all gonna fall, because remember
that happened in Thrones once they killed like the main
ice king or whatever, all of the zombies self.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
So I thought, okay, but damn, that's the bully.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
The giants just like an additional zombie that you're happy
to do.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
Like I picture us now, the us would be good.

Speaker 4 (04:46):
It would not be would.

Speaker 5 (04:49):
Not only would we die from them, but we would
start turning on each other trying to find food and
like all that stuff.

Speaker 3 (04:54):
Well, and really I mean that last scene and again
spoiler li if you haven't seen it, when Ellie watches
Joel die by the hands of the daughter of the
dad that he killed, like it's it's it's like a
doggy dog world, like it's survival of the fittest.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
She's like, you killed my dad. Now I'm going to
kill yours and you're gonna watch.

Speaker 4 (05:13):
The problem is Joel, we all loved him. Ellie where hater?

Speaker 2 (05:17):
Hater?

Speaker 1 (05:17):
Why she she's about to go off.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
She don't listen. She does what she wants now, mind you.

Speaker 3 (05:27):
What pains me to my core is her last three
four weeks of life with Joel.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
She it was living hell for him. Living hell now,
mind you.

Speaker 3 (05:36):
I think at least he could we know he heard
her say, you know he was She was screaming, so
you could tell that she had there was feelings there,
But I don't.

Speaker 2 (05:44):
I thought to myself, why couldn't it have been her?

Speaker 5 (05:46):
Yeah, Like, honestly, I could do. Yeah, I love Joel Ellie.
Dad would be like, fine, thank you.

Speaker 2 (05:53):
God.

Speaker 1 (05:53):
Oh she's about to go off though.

Speaker 6 (05:55):
We're about to love in the rest of this because
she's doing exactly the same thing that just happened to her,
and she's a have to go find that.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
I love when she looked at her and she goes,
I'm gonna kill you.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
I'm gonna kill you. It's a good show.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
It guys, it's such a good I love.

Speaker 5 (06:07):
It too, because it's practical and you can get the
sense of like you can understand why they are the
way they are, Like everybody.

Speaker 3 (06:12):
Do you guys ever have you ever thought that in
your head, like this is the type of zombie?

Speaker 1 (06:17):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (06:17):
Yeah, like the Walking Dead one to the bath you
can walk up to them.

Speaker 3 (06:20):
I think we could figure it out with the Walking
Dead zombies. But like the World War z ones where
they just are so fast and they crawl on top
of each other and they build pyramids.

Speaker 1 (06:29):
No, we're all dead.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
Yeah it's not good. No, it's not good. It's a
really good show. It's on Max. I know you guys
are also watching mom Mobland.

Speaker 4 (06:40):
It's getting better too. Tom Hardy, you can't take your
eyes off him. He knows how to play.

Speaker 2 (06:46):
He does know how to play, you know, how.

Speaker 1 (06:47):
To play a bad guy, but a calm bad guy.

Speaker 6 (06:50):
His character is not He's not menacing in the sense
of like, I'm just gonna you know, I'm gonna he calm, calmly.

Speaker 1 (06:55):
Talks to you.

Speaker 6 (06:56):
He's like, do you want to end up in the hospital, Like,
you don't want to end up in the eall, just
give me what I came for.

Speaker 5 (07:02):
And he breaks down exactly yeah, And he breaks it
down for you because if you don't do this, I'm
gonna do this, that and that.

Speaker 4 (07:08):
Then you're like, okay, yeah, I'll do whatever you want.

Speaker 1 (07:09):
Tom. Yah.

Speaker 6 (07:10):
It's sat amazingly. That's that's a dope one. I don't
know why you're sleeping on it.

Speaker 1 (07:13):
Well.

Speaker 3 (07:14):
I'm also watching Handmaid's Tale. The final season is out.
Is Joanne watching that? No?

Speaker 5 (07:18):
We've kind of been off it because it took too long,
like I don't like TV like breaks of the.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
Years, years to come back.

Speaker 3 (07:24):
But it's finally back and it's it's five episodes in
and again final season. But you you know when you
can feel in a season that it's like set up
after set up after set like war is coming, and
you just you can feel it.

Speaker 4 (07:38):
Are you into it as you were for the past season.

Speaker 2 (07:41):
I'm the most into it.

Speaker 3 (07:42):
I think I've been since like a season two where
I was just like enthrilled with it because I I know,
like the big war is coming and we're getting we're
gearing up. Okay, So praise be blessed, be the Fruit
Handmaid's Tale, Mobland, And if you're not watching The Last
of Us, I'm gonna need you to get on that.

Speaker 2 (07:57):
We have to survive the zombies
