Speaker 1 (00:00):
Corpus Draci's classic Kits Big ninety three nine. How are you?
(00:02):
Tipman with you and I have on the phone with
me Sam from the USS Lexington. Girl, how are you today?
Speaker 2 (00:07):
I'm amazing. How are you doing?
Speaker 1 (00:09):
I am doing great now. I hear there's a lot
of stuff that's going to be happening very very soon
at the USS Lexington. Please give us a full update
on everything that's going on.
Speaker 2 (00:17):
Yes, let me tell you. We are busy getting ready
here over at the USS Lexington Museum for Valentine's Day.
It is our thirty second annual stage door Canteen and
this year is very special because for all those couples,
gal pals, singles ready to mingle, this is the perfect
(00:38):
opportunity to go to a fun, unique, one of a
kind events that we have here that nineteen forties nostalgia
because it's celebrating the commissioning of the USS Lexington, which
was February seventeenth, nineteen forty three, and we hosted the
Friday that's near that date, and so lucky this year
it falls on Valentine's Day.
Speaker 1 (00:59):
Wow wow, So it's almost going to be like a
throwback to World War Two back in the day for
these times for this type of event, right.
Speaker 2 (01:05):
Yes, you know, it's like the ship comes alive during
its prime time, and we encourage our guests to go
with the nineteen forties theme, show up and their gowns,
their you know, glam military uniforms are just business, casual
war whatever their heart desires. But definitely bring dancing shoes
(01:27):
because we've got the US's Lexington Big Band. This is
the only time that these performers who are from all
over the coach will bin get together to perform nineteen
forties hits. Wow.
Speaker 1 (01:39):
So where can people get tickets right now?
Speaker 2 (01:41):
Usslexington dot com. Let me tell you, though, you better
get those tickets now because we are almost sold out. Wow.
Speaker 1 (01:48):
Now, speaking of the anniversary of the commissioning of the ship,
what's this I hear about throwback pricing?
Speaker 2 (01:53):
Yes, this is a great opportunity for those who haven't
visited the ship yet or if it's been a while,
to come on over because we are going back to
nineteen ninety two pricing. So that is when the ship
became the museum here in Corpus Christy, and so those
prices are going to seven dollars for adults five dollars
(02:13):
for seniors in military and then three seventy five for
children three and up and that starts Friday and then
it goes through Monday, the seventeenth.
Speaker 1 (02:23):
Wow. Now, one of the last thing I want to
talk to you, I hear about this, what is this
about land and see partnership with some of the attractions
around Corpus Christy.
Speaker 2 (02:30):
Yes, we love our fellow local attractions here in our community.
This is an opportunity for locals to be tourists in
our town and experience all the wonderful museums and attractions
that we have right here in their own backyards. So
those who are members of seven different local attractions, and
(02:54):
we have all those attractions listed on our website at
Usslexington dot com, of those attractions can visit other participating
attractions at half off general mission pricing. So you are
a member of the USS Lexington Museum and you can
go visit the Texas State Aquarium for half off general
(03:15):
mission based on whatever your membership is. So if you
have a family membership here at the lex then you
get for however many that is equivalent over at the
Texas State Aquarium for half off. And then each of
the attractions also has new membership discounts and discounts in
their ship store or for US it's our ship store
(03:37):
and other places it's their gift shops. Wow.
Speaker 1 (03:40):
So you got a lot of stuff that's going on
right now. So where can people find out about all
this information?
Speaker 2 (03:45):

and XO.
Speaker 1 (03:55):
