Speaker 1 (00:00):
Corpus Christy's Classic Kids A Big ninety three to nine.
What's going on?
Speaker 2 (00:02):
It's hit Man with you. I got Savannah with Disney
on Ice on the phone right now. You know, Disney
on Ice presents Frozen and Incanto, happening on November eight
through the tenth at the American Bank Center.
Speaker 1 (00:12):
Savannah, how are you.
Speaker 3 (00:13):
I'm doing great? How are you?
Speaker 2 (00:15):
I'm doing great? Savannah? Now tell us what do you
do with Disney on Ice.
Speaker 3 (00:21):
So I'm actually a part of the pre show Character
Experienced Team. So what that is is this an hour
pre show before the actual Ice show. It's about forty
five minutes long. The kids get to you know, color
play games, and then at the end they meet their
favorite characters, Mirabella and Elsa.
Speaker 2 (00:39):
Oh wow, So it's it's not just the it's not
just watching an Ice show, but they actually have.
Speaker 1 (00:44):
A pre like a pre party.
Speaker 3 (00:45):
I guess you would say that, Yeah, yeah, we could
call it a little party. Is really fun and it's
kind of like bringing Disneyland to those kids. You know,
they get to meet Mirabelle, they get to meet Elsa
and just have like a fun, little sweet experience. It's
really personal to them and that's kind of like the
best part.
Speaker 1 (01:01):
That is so cool. We're talking with Savannah from Disney
on Ice.
Speaker 2 (01:04):
Of course, tickets are still on sale right now at
ticketmaster dot com and of course at the American Bank
Center box office.
Speaker 1 (01:10):
How long have you been with Disney on Ice?
Speaker 3 (01:12):
Yeah, this is actually my first season and I have
never been more excited to start a job. Oh wow,
for fun and just like the best experience honestly.
Speaker 2 (01:23):
So Actually, I also asked this a lot to everybody.
Where are you originally from?
Speaker 3 (01:27):
So I'm originally from Salt Lake City, Utah.
Speaker 1 (01:29):
Oh wow? So have you done so?
Speaker 2 (01:31):
You've been traveling already a lot recently. So what are
some of the favorite cities that you've gone to?
Speaker 3 (01:38):
Ooh, I think my favorite city so far has been Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
There was just so much to do there, so much
good food, and it's just been a really cool experience.
Speaker 1 (01:49):
Pittsburgh.
Speaker 2 (01:49):
I would have never guessed somebody would have said Pittsburgh, Wow,
you know what?
Speaker 3 (01:54):
And that's what I thought too. When I first got there,
I was like, I wonder what there is to do there?
And there was just so much I wanted to say longer,
but of course you have to move on to the
next city.
Speaker 2 (02:02):
So, so you say you work with the with the
pre show, do you also ice skate? Do you also
are Do you do do some of the skating also
with Disney on Ice.
Speaker 3 (02:12):
So I don't do much of the skating. We're kind
of like, if something happens, we're like the last last resort.
But I have been, you know, getting to get familiar
with some skating. Some of those skaters are just so
incredibly athletic and so so wildly talented, and they are
just like the best you'll ever see, honestly.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
Oh yeah, And I know that some of the ice
skaters that are part of Disney on Ice, they're not
just from the United States. They're from all over the world, right, Yes,
they are.
Speaker 3 (02:40):
We've got skaters from different parts, you know. We've got
skaters from South Africa, from England, from Argentina. It's just
spread out all over. And it's been so fun working
with all those different kinds of people and just the
amazing talents that they bring, the different personalities they bring,
it just makes things so much more fun.
Speaker 2 (02:59):
So, not giving away any spoilers, what's your favorite part
of Disney on Ice featuring Frozen and Encanto.
Speaker 3 (03:07):
Wo let's see. My favorite part would probably have to
be in the second half of the show. In the
second half of the show, Mickey and friends explore the
world of Aganto and we meet the Madrigal family, of course,
and my favorite number would have to be what Else
can I Do? If you ever seeing the movie, you'll
(03:28):
know that Isabela and Mirabelle they kind of dance through
the house as Isabella creates all these different new floral
expressions of herself. And in the Ice show there are
some it is they're called straps, basically kind of lift
it up into the air, perform all these do like
fun tricks, and it's just really fun to see.
Speaker 1 (03:49):
Well, that's cool, that's cool now, you know.
Speaker 2 (03:51):
Of course, tomorrow is Halloween and then right after that
is the del Los Mortos.
Speaker 1 (03:58):
So does Cocoa show up anywhere on Disney on Ice? No, No, we're.
Speaker 3 (04:05):
Talking about Little Cocoa, Little Miguel. Yeah, hell, he makes
an appearance. Towards the end. We've got a big finale
that has a bunch of your favorite classic Disney characters
as well as some of the new ones. And it's
really fun to see how everyone reacts to the characters
that you know just skate on the bys.
Speaker 1 (04:24):
So are you getting dressed up for Halloween?
Speaker 2 (04:27):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (04:27):
I sure am, are you.
Speaker 2 (04:29):
I'm already at that age to where no, I'm usually
the guy that's at the house and just giving out
the candy the kids.
Speaker 1 (04:36):
That's what I'm usually doing.
Speaker 2 (04:37):
So but yeah, yeah, we're talking with Savannah with Disney
on ice. So looking forward to seeing Frozen and Encanto
like you said, so, Mickey and Minnie will be there also, right, Yes,
of course.
Speaker 3 (04:49):
They host the show and so they get to use
their imaginations to take us to a world of Frozen
and as well as the world of I conto. It's
really fun. It's seat to see, especially how all those
kids react to Mickey a mini as soon as sixty and.
Speaker 2 (05:04):
I, oh, yeah, it's it's it's fun for the whole family.
I used to take my kids and my and now
my grandkids I take them also. It's it's gonna be
a fun show, like I said. Tickets are still available
at the American Bank Center box office, happening November.
Speaker 1 (05:15):
Eighth through the tenth.
Speaker 2 (05:17):
And uh, is there any last things you want to
pass on to anybody about Disney on ice, I think you've.
Speaker 3 (05:21):
Covered it all for me. Thank you so much.
