Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is deeper in the din with dangerous date. Well,
if you're planning a vacation this summer, it's time to
start thinking about booking your flights in hotel. There's four
tips you should do to save money. First of all,
be flexible with your dates. If you're locked into traveling
on July fourth weekend might be a lot more expensive
than traveling on a random Tuesday or Wednesday in June. Also,

(00:21):
try to avoid flying Sunday and Monday. They tend to
be the most expensive. That's according to the flight app hopper.
Don't assume vacation rentals are the cheapest. There was a
time that vacation rentals like airbnbs were usually cheaper than
a hotel, but not always is the case, and with
all the fees that get tacked on, shop around and
consider all your options. Stay in the outskirts of a city.

(00:42):
The closer you are to the action in the city,
the more expensive the hotel is going to be. Consider
staying in areas outside the city center, especially if they
have good public transportation, and pay with credit cards to
get points. It's a tough one if you don't have
points already saved up, but if you are already sitting
on a bunch of points. Use them to book your flights, hotel,
your rental car, but use them smartly. Points usually go

(01:03):
farther when you use them for cross country or international flights,
or book hotels on off peak times and tips to
save some money. My favorite tip is see if you
can fit me in your carry on sper in the well.
It's official grilling seasons, so what are you cooking up?
A new poll found our favorite food to grill is
burgers seventy percent of the vote. This was an informal

(01:26):
BuzzFeed poll that backed it up. Fifteen thousand people chimed
in voted on the popular barbecue food matchups. For each matchup,
you get to pick one, they said burger dogs, and
seventy eight percent of people said burger hot Dogs only
got twenty two percent of the vote. Chicken or pork
forty seven percent chicken, forty six percent pork, and seven
percent said they wouldn't touch either one. Sausage or ribs

(01:47):
ribs one with fifty six percent, potato salad or coleslaw
sixty six percent potato salad, macaroni salad or macaroni and
cheese and mac and cheese, of course one with seventy
seven percent of the vote. Watermelon or pineapple sixty nine
percent said shut up obviously, watermelon, baked beans or cornbread
cornbread with fifty eight percent, and grilled veggies or corn
on the cob not even close. Corn on the cob

(02:09):
seventy percent of the vote. So if you're grilling this weekend,
I hope you enjoy, and I also hope you invite
me to it again for another episode of Deeper in
the Den with Dangerous Dave By Dear
