Hey, how are you guys?
Speaker 2 (00:20):
Hey, man, we're doing all right.
Speaker 1 (00:22):
I understand that you're kind of old school, so I'm
what I'm reading is that you you and Trina met
online not really your forte Yeah, tell us about it, Like,
how did this all unfold? Because I understand she's ghosted.
Speaker 4 (00:35):
Yeah, she's she's vanished.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
Crazy.
Speaker 4 (00:38):
Yeah, well I'm not. I'm not used to the online dating,
but I figured i'd try it out. You know, I
figured if I was going to do it, if I
was gonna do it, I was gonna take it seriously
because I want to, you know, commit one hundred and
ten percent. I am old fashioned and traditional, so it's
a little a little out of my comfort zone kind of.
But I found Trina on the site, and she was
(01:00):
everything I was looking for. You know, she's put together,
accomplished matures, so she looked kind, you know, everything I
wanted in a woman. So I knew I had to
bring my a game. So I took her to a
nice dinner, old school style. I don't know what I
did wrong, to be honest with you, I was just
I was trying to make sure she had a good time,
and the whole evening was pleasant and everything was perfect,
and she ghosted. I don't know. It was very out
(01:23):
of nowhere, and I'm just I'm trying to get some
guidance going forward. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
Speaker 2 (01:28):
That's what we're here for.
Speaker 3 (01:29):
Okay, here's what I'm thinking.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
Filmy Trina is.
Speaker 3 (01:31):
An actress and stumbles into a bookstore where she meets
the owner, and a chance encounter overspilled orange juice leads
to a full blown affair. However, it's a struggle for
the average bloke, you know, the average bookstore owner and
the glamorous actress. She's trying to figure it all out.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
Ooh ooh, I'm just a girl standing in front of
a boy asking him to love her.
Speaker 3 (01:55):
It's weird when you do it.
Speaker 2 (01:58):
Notting Hill.
Speaker 1 (01:59):
Yes, good, good at this Brad patiently standing by. Yes,
why don't we find out what really happened?
Speaker 2 (02:05):
Brad? Let's call her together. Can you can you hang
out for a song?
Speaker 4 (02:10):
Yeah, yeah, sure, we'll.
Speaker 2 (02:11):
Help you out.
Speaker 4 (02:12):
Man.
Speaker 2 (02:12):
Hang on the line, all right. It's Second Date Update
Star one oh one three, Well.
Speaker 1 (02:17):
Variety from the two thousands, the nineties, and today it's
Star one O one three. It's Marcus and Corey doing
Second Date Update, trying to help out Brad with his
date with Trina.
Speaker 2 (02:25):
She has ghosted. So Brad is quite obviously cut from
a different cloth. He's an old school guy.
Speaker 3 (02:30):
Well he's not huge on the apps. Sure, and that's okay.
It could be a whole new world for people, Brad.
Speaker 1 (02:36):
We don't want to talk about you like you're not here,
No kidding. You ready to make this phone call?
Speaker 5 (02:41):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (02:41):
Okay, let's call Trina and figure it out. I'd love
to get you a second date. Go ahead and mut
your phone. Here we go.
Speaker 3 (02:55):
Hello, Hi, may speak with Trina please.
Speaker 4 (02:58):
Hi.
Speaker 5 (02:58):
This is Trina.
Speaker 3 (02:59):
Hi Trina, It's Marcus and Corey from Star one on
one three.
Speaker 2 (03:02):
Good morning, Oh Hi, Hi, how are you?
Speaker 5 (03:07):
I'm good? How are you guys.
Speaker 2 (03:08):
It's the inflection of recognition. We're good. Do you listen?
Speaker 5 (03:15):
Are you yeah?
Speaker 2 (03:16):
Excellent?
Speaker 3 (03:17):
Do you like second date update? I?
Speaker 5 (03:22):
Yep, I do.
Speaker 3 (03:23):
Okay, we would like to invite you to be a
part of it on the show.
Speaker 5 (03:29):
Oh no, okay, yep, okay.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
So I mean we're all adults here, Brad, are you there?
Come on in?
Speaker 1 (03:37):
Yeah? Hey, hey, okay, So Trina, Brad really liked you.
He'd like to take you out again. He seems very sweet.
How is the date for you? Yes, okay, he's feeling ghosted,
so so enlighten us.
Speaker 5 (03:55):
I'm so sorry. So the date, it was just a lot.
It was a lot for me. Like I think, I
think I'm just used to and kind of like what
I'm looking for is just like just kind of casual, right,
like get out there, get to know people, and you know,
just keep it easy, keep it light. And Brad is
(04:19):
super sweet. But he like he showed up with a
big bouquet of flowers and then he was also like
he said that he would have brought chocolates, but he
wasn't able to get to the store, and I, you know,
that's not like what I'm looking for, And like the
first time we've ever met, you know.
Speaker 2 (04:36):
Was sure.
Speaker 5 (04:38):
Yeah, it just was the whole thing, Like it was
like super nice dinner, but like he did all the
stuff like held my chair and the flowers and was
like so kind of insistent on like this like kind
of gentlemanly vibe, which is that's great. It just made
me feel like it was all too intense and it
was too much and like I'm just looking for kind
of casual, you know, and more relaxed.
Speaker 3 (05:00):
I mean, it's definitely, I mean some people are more formal,
some people are a little more casual.
Speaker 2 (05:04):
Right, Such a fine line, isn't it. I mean he
liked you. If I could defend my guy for a sec.
Speaker 4 (05:10):
Yeah, yeah, I'm just you know, look, I'm sorry. You
know I brought flowers. I mean it doesn't like flowers,
you know. I mean, I know, would you rather date
some kind of jerk? I don't know, you know, I'm
just trying to, yeah, my best best foot out there
and be you know, chivalrous.
Speaker 5 (05:24):
It just felt like a lot and kind of like
too much pressure. It was just kind of cringey.
Speaker 2 (05:30):
How about can you pump the brakes a little bit? Bread?
Speaker 4 (05:33):
Yeah, yeah, I can do that, I feel like you
get no goods. Yeah, yeah, you can do your own share.
You know, you can open the door for yourself. I
know you're able to do all this stuff.
Speaker 2 (05:45):
So yeah, go ahead, treata. I just listen. You tell
me if I'm wrong.
Speaker 1 (05:48):
But I feel like maybe we have a little self
awareness now, and sometimes guys get really excited.
Speaker 2 (05:54):
I know, I did ask my wife what if he
pumps the brakes crease it down a couple of notches.
We give Brad another like did you like him? Did
you like the dates?
Speaker 5 (06:03):
I mean, he's he's super nice, Brad, You're super nice.
I just I feel like I don't know, you know,
I'm a big believer of like first impression are kind
of like first impression's best impression, and I just kind
of feel like I'm not super interested in trying again.
Like maybe I'm just like not the right girl for him,
you know,
