Speaker 1 (00:00):
We are just about, yeah, twenty nine and a half
hours away from the twenty twenty five NFL Draft. This
is MJ in the Midday on Seattle Sports Leader ninety
three to three KJR FM, and I'm psyched. This is
a huge day. The great Hugh Millin will be coming in.

(00:23):
I have not met Hugh yet, so I'm looking forward
to that. We're gonna get him in studio here shortly,
and he's in town, so I'm looking forward to having him.
And also just like this is where every fan base
and can really kind of you know, it's that glimmer
of hope. Man, it's a new year. You don't know

(00:46):
what's gonna happen, but everything starts tomorrow night. Why are
the Philadelphia Eagles the current reigning, defending and undisputed Super
Bowl champions because they got the draft right time and
time again. Jalen Carter, Jordan Davis, Nakobe, Dean Cooper, Dejene

(01:13):
so on and so oh uh Devonte Smith, Jalen Hurts.
And then when they got the draft wrong, Howie Roseman,
when he got the draft wrong picking Jalen Rieger over
Justin Jefferson, what did he do? He went out and
acquired A J. Brown, which led them to their second

(01:38):
Super Bowl title in the last eight years. So the
draft is everything I cannot And by the way, I'm
just very honored and grateful to be a part of
this legendary heritage station ninety three to three KJRFM, because

(02:00):
I've listened to the station for many, many years, going
back to Gas and Groggs and Mitch Levy, and they
had this young you know, this young whipper snapper at
the time by the name of Dave Mahler who we
all affectionately known as Softy. Can't wait for the Mahler
and Millen mock Draft today at Queen Ann Beer Hall

(02:21):
starting at three o'clock, So we can't wait for that.
I'm just really kind of taken aback that I get
to be a part of this because the station is certainly,
by far and away, the best station, the best place
I've ever worked for. The management is outstanding. Purple sheet. Yes,
we know we bust, we bust his shops on the air,
but I have never had a program director on his level.

(02:46):
And how okay, Mark, you're brown nosing mom? No, well yes,
and no not intentionally. I'm just being honest. I've had
a lot of bad peties. I've had one good PD
prior to Purple Sheet. But to be a part of
this what we do here at at ninety three to
three KJRFM, and to be part of this whole like
it really truly is not only the best NFL Draft

(03:07):
coverage in all of Seattle and the PNW, the best
NFL Draft coverage off any station in America. And believe me,
I have been around America and I've been at other stations,
and I've been not at markets like Boston, Atlanta, Charlotte
when they had the number one pick and it was

(03:27):
Cam Newton, Tampa, Miami, and i will tell you nobody
does the draft like ninety three three KJRFM. It's just
a fact. It's not me, you know, blowing our own
horn and you know, gassing ourselves up. It's just a fact.
So like Deon Sanders once said in his great days

(03:49):
as the best cover corner in football history, if you
can do it, it ain't bragging. And we're not bragging
because we do it. And I'm looking forward to being
a part of it and being out tomorrow in renting
when Ian will be there between one and three and
Softy and Dick will be out there doing their show
at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center. I didn't say those
four letters. I said the whole thing. My first time

(04:12):
out there. I'm just looking forward to all this. This
is great stuff. Also, I will take you know. I
love to pound my chest like King Kong on top
of the Empire State Building when I have a right pick.
I apologize today. I got it wrong last night. I
thought Memphis, after getting their asses whooped by fifty one

(04:32):
points in game one, putting up eighty, could at least
maybe get to one ten. They didn't. I had the
over last night. Wasn't even close. Wasn't even close. So
that's on me. I take the l listen, nothing last forever,
including the greatest show of all time, definitively by far

(04:55):
and away, the Sopranos. I would go after that, Breaking Bad,
the Wire, I'll throw mad Men. Tom Hanks he knows
a thing or two about great acting and successful on
air performance artwork. Tom Hanks said the three most impactful

(05:15):
shows in television history are The Sopranos, Breaking Bad and
Mad Men. I'll throw mad Men in there. I'll throw
them in. But the Wire was something man The Wire was.
I just wish they didn't kill off one of the
greatest characters in television history, Omar buy a dude a
kid in a convenience store. Sorry if you didn't watch

(05:38):
The Wire, but it is twenty five years old, So
if I just spoiled that for you, then yeah, you
need to. There's a spoiler alert. But I've got to
pull up Christopher Kidd. Go ahead and uh retweet that.
You could check out my Twitter handle Mark James ma
r C James Wowe. Votes are already up. There'll be
a lot more votes coming, but already it's one hundred percent.

(06:00):
Uh oh, No, I got this wrong. I gotta delete.
I gotta edit the tweet. My bad. I gotta delete.
I have to delete this tweet because I put I put. No, No,
I got this wrong. It's on me. I'm sorry. First
of all, you know I'm a John Schneider guy. I
gotta delete this tweet. Delete, delete, delete. I was doing it,
but Chris, do not retweet that I put. Yeah, I don't.

(06:22):
You can edit it, though I can. You're right, you
don't have to delete it. I don't think. No, I didn't.
I didn't let me edit this thing. Uh, let me
let me do this. No, you have the blue check, Yeah,
let me let me do this. Oh man, I f
that up? Oh man, what am I doing? It's what
are we doing here? Mark? Come on man? Oh Eve?

(06:45):
Oh please, you know it's just uh, I know, you
know what, Chris, it's not all right, hold on here.
Let me let me let me see if I can.
It's not giving me top ride three little buck three.
All right, all right, but here's the thing. It's not
giving me the ability to edit it. It says delete

(07:05):
post view analytics, view post interactions. I'm just gonna delete.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
Oh wow, maybe they changed it.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
I'm gonna delete. So do not do not recreet tweet that. Okay,
So here's the poll question and I'll get it right
and I so let me just ask you this and
I'm gonna and this would go on the text line. Hey,
you can please voice Texas as well. You can always
do that. And you can go ahead on a rant.
I love the rants of the day. Go on to
the new and improved iHeartRadio app and ninety three excuse

(07:33):
me at iHeartRadio app right there, that's the number one
radio network and podcast network. How about this what was
the thing called something the Webbies that just happened. iHeart
just nailed it. We took like fourteen Webbies, which is
considered the Oscar Awards of podcasting, and we just blew

(07:54):
that away. So iHeart doing it bigger and better. Go
to the new and improved iHeartRadio app. Then go to
ninety three to three KJR and all right, here's the question.
It's playing simple, Seattle, do you trust John Schneider to
get this draft right? Okay, that's all. Do you trust

(08:19):
John Schneider to get this draft right? That's all I
want to know. And I got it right this time.
I people tell me you should have left the old
one up. I had to delete it. People like, uh,
it said, Seattle, don't trust John Schneider to get this
draft right? And then people are voted, Yeah, people are voted. No, No,

(08:41):
I didn't mean that. I did not mean that. So
I'm gonna put up the new pole here in a
second here, do you trust John Schneider to get this
draft right? Here's my answer. I'm gonna give it publicly.
Yes I do. And I'll tell you why, because this
is it for John Schneider. This is it here in Seattle.
He had to get this thing right, just like he

(09:03):
has to get Sam Darnold Cooper cup to Marcus Lawrence,
Marcuz Valdez Scantling. He has to get that right. After
parting ways with DK Metcalf, Gino Smith and Tyler Lockett.
He has to do it. This is it for him.
So h poull length here, Okay, we got that, let's
do it. I'm gonna do it a couple so we'll

(09:24):
do it a couple of days, two hours, boom, there
we go. All right, there we go. It's up. Now
there it is. Do you trust John Schneider to get
this draft right? And and there it is? Okay, so yeah,
you know, you know what. I forgot to even put
live on the air right now, Chris, I forgot to

(09:45):
put do you trust John Schneider to get I forgot
the words to get I just put do you trust
John Schneider this draft? Right? You know what I mean?
So I won't even let me edit that. It won't
even let me edit that. I forgot to put the
words to get.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
That's weird because I just did a test and I
was able to edit. So I don't know what's going
on interesting all right?

Speaker 1 (10:06):
So yeah, no, I'm looking. It's just delete, add or
remove highlights muted. It's not allowing me to do this.
I don't know why, man, I'm listening because I had
to edit before a few times actually, and it won't
allow me to. I don't know why, but it just did.
But should I delete that again and do it again?

Speaker 2 (10:25):
Or is that gonna that's I mean, that's a pretty
you might want to just delete it again?

Speaker 1 (10:31):
Okay? God? What is wrong with me? Man?

Speaker 2 (10:34):
You trust john Snyder this draft?

Speaker 1 (10:36):
Right?

Speaker 2 (10:36):
I mean, if you had a comment there, it wouldn't
be as I mean.

Speaker 1 (10:39):
I guess no, no, no, no, I already deleted it
too bad. But I'm gonna get this right? Yes or no?
Do you trust Johnson? All right? There we go. We
will get this. I will get this right, all right?
To get this draft right? There we go? A very
simple thing. And all my other ones were pretty you know,
even a little bit more complex, and this one I
don't know why, but you know, maybe because when you're

(11:00):
on the air and you get it wrong and I'm
leaving you a third choice, I don't know, I'm gonna
leave you a third choice debt, and I would imagine
that that pretty much would not be like an option.
But I'm gonna give you the option of I don't know.
Right there it is, I got it right for the
third time. The third time I got it right. So
there it is. Do you trust John Scheder to get

(11:22):
this draft right? For the record, I do, because this
is it. This is not his, to use a march
Man's term, one shining moment, but this could be his
last shining moment here in Seattle. And what I mean
by that is, if he doesn't get this draft right,
if he doesn't get Sam Darnold right, if he doesn't

(11:43):
get Cooper Cup and Marquezvaldez Gantling right, how many more
bats at the plate will John Schneider get? How many more?
Because you can't blame the head coach anymore because that
hey coach is gone. He's in Vegas now, okay, and
he's got your Foo Nordstrom rat quarterback, So you can't
blame him, and you can't blame Mike McDonald because this

(12:06):
was the guy that you handpicked to replace the guy
that you fired. It's on you now now. I will
say again for the record, I do trust John Schneider
to get this draft right. I'm not saying he's gonna
hit one hundred percent, nobody does, okay, but can you
maybe try to get sixty The most successful gamblers in
the world, they say hit about fifty five and a

(12:28):
half percent. If you can hit sixty percent on the draft,
and specifically with those high picks, you got first round
eighteenth overall, you have two in the second round at
fifteen fifty two, and you have two in the third
round at eighty two and ninety two. Can you get
those picks right now? You'd like to get a fourth

(12:51):
round pick right? I believe Richard Sherman was in the
fourth round if I'm not mistaken around there. You'd like
to get those diamonds in the rough every now and then.
But if you can nail your top one hundred picks,
that means the first three rounds you set the franchise
up to be successful and to be great. And when

(13:13):
we talked about the most successful franchise is over the
course of the last what was that we did that
the other day, Chris? Was it the last five years
or ten years? Last five years? Five years? Who was
number one? Detroit Lions? They were number one and Detroit's
on fire right now. By the way, the Tigers aren't
bad either. The only team that sucks in town are

(13:34):
the Red Wings, and they've won a bunch of Stanley
Cups back in the day. But the Detroit Tigers man
Pennay Sewell, Lions. Oh yeah, Lions. I know I'm getting Lions. Okay,
So the Lions, and you look at what they've done
in the draft, and Brad Holmes has nailed it. He's
nailed it time and time again. He made a trade
for Jared Goff. A lot of people thought, including me,

(13:57):
Jared Goff was just gonna be this sort of kind
of stop gap transitional quarterback. Nope, nope, Jared Goff ended
up being the franchise quarterback. So ended up working out
perfectly for them when it didn't look like they were
going to Oh he's just gonna go there. It's sort

(14:20):
of a thing they get rid of Stafford's salary. But
you look at what they've done over the course of
the last five years, and it's been I mean, Penay Sewell,
as I mentioned, I'm on Ross Saint Brown, fourth round pick.
Arm On Ross Saint Brown, one of the best receivers
in the game. Aiden Hutchinson, Okay, didn't take a genius

(14:42):
to take that one. But he got Jamison Williams there
in the first round, Kirby Joseph in the third round,
Jamiir gibbson the first round, Sam Laporta in the second round,
Brian Branched in the second round, Hendon Hooker in the
third round. This is what John Schneider needs to do.
He needs to basically nail this draft. And I'm more

(15:05):
concerned with the top five picks. Now, maybe those five
picks could turn into six picks come Thursday and Friday night.
John Schneider is the most unpredictable general manager an executive
in the NFL to try to prognosticate on what he's
going to do, but he needs to have a weatherspoon JSN.

(15:31):
Charbonnet type draft again. You need to have that draft
this time, and you set yourself up so you're not
overpaying for free agents and killing your cap later on.
That's what you have to do. So I'm stoked. Hugh

(15:52):
Millen will be here, I believe coming up at the
top of the hour. Oh he already is. Oh, he
already is. You cannot wait to talk to him. Oh,
I'd be remiss if I didn't talk about I'm when
I talk about all things, you know, great things. And listen,
there's still more two games in Boston. What's wrong? What
is wrong with Bryce Miller? What is wrong with this guy?

(16:16):
I mean, he just something's amiss, man, He hasn't had it.
It's it's I don't know. Did not look good yesterday
in Boston. It's and Alex Bragman. He went from being
a Mariner's killer in Houston and he took him being
a Seattle killer to Boston because he did it again yesterday.

(16:38):
He just loves to kill Seattle. Boy. Would have been
nice to see him in a Mariner's uniform last year,
not that I mean, you know, but like that would
have been nice. But you know, decided to not do
anything last year in the offseason. Something's wrong with Bryce Miller.
I don't know what it is. And I asked this
question the other day, what's wrong with Louis Castillo? Because
he looks a little bit sloppy, He looks disjointed, he

(17:02):
looks befuddled. He just looks kind of dare I say,
And I know it's early, so I'm not saying he
is this, But there are times this year that I
looked at Luis Castilla, I'm like, is he washed? Is
he hitting that wall right now? And I'm starting to
wonder about Bryce Miller right now? What's going on with
this guy? So there's that. I hope I'm wrong, but

(17:25):
you gotta get it right. Mister twelve seventy one Emerson
Hancock on the mound today to try to get things right. Okay,
so here we go. Wow, we got some votes here
already on the poll at Mark James is my twinter handle,
you follow me there? Do you trust John schunder to
get this draft right? Yes? Thirty three percent? No, twenty

(17:47):
eight percent. How about this? Didn't expect this one. I
even didn't almost put it as an option. I don't know.
Thirty nine percent leading the way. Well, here's my thing,
nobody truly knows because we don't have a crystal ball.
If we did, then I'd go hit the power ball
and go ahead and do that thing. But you've got
a fifteen year sample size to kind of you know

(18:11):
this is based on what he's done. Do you trust
him to get this draft right? I do? Do you?
Is the question? All right? So how about this? You
know what else? I looked at the for the Mariners.
Do you know? Do you know what? For me? There's
a movie back in the day about the nineteen twenty

(18:34):
one Chicago White Sox called eight man out, that eight
guys were on the take in that World Series to
throw the World Series. When I look and I watch
the Mariners lineup, I call it three men out. Rowdy Telez,

(18:55):
and I you know, I know he's come on recently
and he's just but when I look at this, I
look at this lineup, it's three men out. It truly
is three men out, and never more evident than yesterday.
Randia Rose Arena under two hundred, Luke Rayley under two hundred.

(19:18):
Rauph Actually four men out, four men out. That should
be the twenty twenty five Mariners right now, four men out.
Randier Rose Arena below Mendoza one ninety three, Luke Railey
way below Mendoza one seventy two. Rowdy Talz this Samuel
Tarley of of Pro Sports, one forty nine. If only

(19:42):
his batting average would equal his weight, you'd be in
better shape. Oh did I just say that on the air, Yes,
I did. Julio Rodriguez one ninety one, four men out.
So when I look at this batting lineup every day,
you have four guys batting below the Mendoza line. Do
you know how tough that is? Do you know how
rare it is to have four guys in your lineup

(20:06):
batting below two hundred. That is inexcusable, that is unacceptable,
and it's pathetic. All three for men out. That's what
I'm gonna call him from now and fore men out.
Polanco just continues to kill it. Best player on the
team all season long, from opening day and d mour

(20:26):
Dylan Moore, he was the American League Player of the
Week last week. Love to see that kid and what
he's doing. I have high hopes on Ben Williamson. I'm
glad they called him up. That was a good move
by Gerard. Fore Men out. That's the lineup for the
twenty twenty five Seattle Mariners. That's what I'm calling him
until they change. Fore men out. That's their batting lineup.
And now you've got to wonder about the starting rotation

(20:47):
because something's wrong with Luis Castillo and something's wrong with
Bryce Miller. See, we better hope that Emerson Hancock, who's
making his third start tonight of the season has kind
of righted the ship, if you will. You know, Logan
Gilbert's gonna be good, and I love Brian wu and
we're all waiting for George Kirby to come back. But

(21:10):
four men out on the batting lineup, that's what I'm
calling the Mariners right now. Four men out. Great job, Gerard,
great job. I won't even ask you if you trust
Gerard Depoto to get the Mariners right, I know what
that would be. That'd be one hundred percent No. I'd
actually just put one option there. I won't even put
two options. I just put no or hell e F

(21:32):
and no. And I think hell F and no would
beat no. Probably landslide on that one. All right, How
league insiders expect the top ten picks to unfold? And
is this guy moving up? And it's not a smoke screen.
It appears that a guy who looked like he was

(21:54):
gonna fall to about number six to Pete Carroll, looks
like they might have to trade up to get him.
Who is it? We'll talk about him, and we'll talk
about that next right here on MJ and the Midday
ninety three to three KJR FM. I just I opened
the door and I just peeked around the corner and

(22:17):
let me just tell you how locked in Hugh Millan
is so Chuck and Buck and Ashley Ryan are outside,
and Hugh Millan is drawing a place on a piece
of paper right now. He is so locked in as
if he was the offensive coordinator for the Seahawks going
into the NFC Championship game against the Eagles. He's so

(22:42):
locked in. I cannot wait to have him on at
the top of the hour and the Mahler and Millan
draft come on out to Queen Anne beer Hall later
today three o'clock for Softy and Dick and Hugh and
oh man, this is hmmm. I cannot cannot wait for

(23:03):
this all right, How do NFL draft and league insiders
expect the top ten picks to unfold? No surprise, Number one,
it's off the board. My guy from the U, mister
former Cougar. I give all credit where credits due. He
spent a couple of years here. Cam freaking Ward, numero Uno.
Now I'm gonna say something about cam Ward, which was

(23:26):
reported According to Tom Pellisero, most scouts and coaches would
have have ranked cam Ward between Michael Pennix Junior and
bo Nix. If he was in last year's draft class,
they also would have ranked Ward below Caleb Williams, Jaden Daniels,
and Drake May. Okay, that's fair. I don't disagree with that.

(23:50):
I'm all for that. Now, let me tell you this,
and if we're betting long term, all right, let me
let me throw one in here for you. Now. I'm
not sure of the talent level that Borganzi, the new
GM in Tennessee, is gonna surround cam Ward with. There.

(24:11):
I know the the O line has been certainly that's
been solidified. Jayden Daniels is better than cam Ward and
he will have a better career than cam Ward. I'm
not going on a limb by saying that. I think
Caleb Williams is put in a better position to succeed
than cam Ward. So I might even have to go

(24:35):
with Caleb Williams on that just because I think and
I think the Bears have fixed it. They got Ben
Johnson there. I think they're finally gonna get right. And
I would say, Michael Pennix and cam Ward, uh oh, Chris,
you you better you better make sure that make sure

(24:56):
that outside that we are secure there that that we
can't know, we can break in our studio. I say,
Michael Pennis and cam Ward is about a push. It's
a push. I think both are equally talented. I think
cam I think Pennix's arm is superior to cam Ward.
I believe that, and I think he throws a better

(25:18):
long ball than cam Ward. But I think cam because
here's the thing. How many times do we see in
the world of football do quarterbacks get a clean pocket?
Hardly ever, so I think when the pocket collapses, I
like cam Ward better than Michael Pennix when the pocket collapses. Chris,

(25:39):
do you agree with that?

Speaker 2 (25:41):
Hmm, that's a great question.

Speaker 1 (25:45):
Tough one. It's tough. I mean, listen, we're comparing a
Bugatti to a Mayback. No, literally, like both of these
guys are Listen. I love Penix. I just wish he
didn't go to Atlanta because I wanted to see him
go to a team that knows how to win. But
he's the guy there now and they're looking to trade
Kirk Cousins. But do you agree that cam wore than
Michael Pennix. Because we don't have a huge sample size

(26:07):
of Pennis. What we've seen and what we saw, I mean, listen, man,
dude was dude was lights out, like he was great.
Do you think that that's sort of a push.

Speaker 2 (26:17):
I think I would give the edge to Michael PENNOCKX.

Speaker 1 (26:20):
And I don't have a problem with that. That's fire,
that's fair.

Speaker 2 (26:23):
I thought that he had a hell of a year,
a hell of a season with you, dub, and he
was making throws and I'm thinking, yeah, he is ready
to pray.

Speaker 1 (26:33):
Oh no, no doubt.

Speaker 2 (26:34):
Which is kind of shocking when you put all the
pieces of the puzzle because then Atlanta says, oh, we're
gonna give Kirk Cousins all this money. But they're on
the board at eight and then they draft a quarterback,
so I'm not sure why they even made that move.
I thought Michael Penix would have probably got that team
to the playoffs had he started Week one. I think
he was that talented and can make any and heavy
throw in the league. Obviously, he's still young guy and

(26:56):
there's a lot of room for him to grow, but
I was he was promising to me.

Speaker 1 (26:59):
He's awesome. He's from Tampa. I love the kid. He's
gonna be three years older than cam Ward in two weeks.
He's twenty five, cam Ward's twenty two. It's not like
a huge disparity, but Cam's no. I don't think it's right.
I mean, look, listen, bo Nix is twenty five already,
Jaden Daniels is twenty four. Cam's relatively young for a
guy coming out to be the No. More and O

(27:21):
war back. I love Pennix, I do I think it's
a push. And does he have better weapons in Atlanta? Absolutely,
Drake London, Kyle Pitts, Bjean Robinson. I mean, there's no
doubt about that. But here's my thing. I'm and obviously
I can't take my orange and green glasses off and
my orange and green put my orange and green pom

(27:43):
poms down. I love cam Ward. So there's that. But
I I think that that from Pelisero, I agree with that.
He would have been between Pennix and bo Nix below
Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels and Drake May. Now, if you're
asking me who's gonna be a better pro quarterback if
he's put in position to succeed more, cam Ward or

(28:03):
Drake May, I'm gonna go with cam Ward. Now he's
got he's got Tennessee's Drake may Does, Tennessee's former coach,
and Mike Rabel, and Rabel's got that defense. I mean,
they're gonna be cooking. They don't have it. I mean,
they just overpay for Stefan Diggs. They have no line.
So I just I'm I'm feeling really big on cam Ward.

(28:25):
Number two Travis Hunter, best player in the draft, best
athlete in the draft, best athlete, best athlete right now
on the planet. Yeah, I said it, Yeah, I said it.
Travis Hunter is the best athlete in the world. He
is by far and away nobody in the world. And

(28:45):
I love ant Man and you know, I love all
the studs, and I love SGA. There's not a better
athlete in the world right now than Travis Hunter. And hey, hey,
soccer guy, seriously, just yeah, in the mute button on.
You don't even come at me. Don't even come at me. Please,
don't even come at me. You ain't even close. Travis

(29:08):
Hunter's pinky is more athletic than any soccer player in
the entire world on a bad day. Number three Abdul
carter YEP best defensive player in the draft. Well, because
Travis Hunter's defensive and offensive Do you know mel Kiper
ranked Travis Hunter the number one receiver in this draft.
Number one receiver and that's not even his primary position.

(29:30):
That's how great of an athlete he is. Number four, obviously,
the aforementioned New England Patriots Will Campbell LSU. Number five
Mason Graham. Now it's been mocked that the Raiders will
take Ashton Genty at six, but now I'm seeing that

(29:52):
Ashton Genty might go in the top four. So if
I were the Raiders, you better stay in your position.
Don't be suckers in trade up to with New England.
New England's not taking gent so they're not and if
they do, then you then you draft Campbell out of
LSU and you protect Gino Smith, which is something he
never had here in Seattle. Number seven armand Membu sec

(30:16):
offensive tackle Missoo no problem with that. The Jets are
an absolute mess no matter who they bring. A Number
eight Jalen Walker, edge rusher, Georgia stud guy's not getting
enough pub Now this was what I don't like. Number
nine Tyler Warren, tight end Penn State. That sucks because

(30:38):
that's one of the guys that I want to be
here in Seattle, Tyler Warren or Colston Lovelin and number ten.
I believe if the Saints do pass on Tyler Warren,
they're gonna they will take an offensive lineman there. And
if they pass on Tyler Warren, he'll go ten to
the Bears. My biggest concern if the Seahawks can get

(31:03):
past New Orleans at nine, Chicago at ten, in the
Colts at fourteen with either Warren or Lovelin, one of
those two guys will be a Seahawk. One of those
two guys will be a Seahawk. Number ten. Josh Shimmons,
he tours Putteller ten in October. So that's how they
expect the top ten to go. But it never goes

(31:28):
that way. There's gonna be a curve ball somewhere somehow
coming up next. Sometimes you open your mouth, as we've
seen a certain executive in this market fifty four percent.
We're doing the fans of favor Girard. Well, there are
girards in other markets too, and they open their mouth
and they just can't but put their freaking foot in it.

(31:50):
We'll get to that. Hitting to all fields. Hugh Millen,
Top of the hour in studio right here, on your
home for the very best NFL draft coverage come up
later today at Queen Anne Beer Hall. The Mallar and
smaller Maller. Sorry about that, Softie, I was thinking Ben
Maller for a second. The Maller and Millin Draft, Softy

(32:14):
Maller and Millen draft coming up later today. Ben Maller
will not be there. I can assure you that, even
though I have a lot of respect and admiration for
that guy. The Maler In Millen Draft coming up later
today at Queen Anne Beer Hall right here on ninety
three to three KJR at them. Just one more footnote

(32:35):
on we were talking about cam word, Oh please don't
don't compare cam Ward and the talent level or lack
thereof he had in Pullman when they went head to head.
Don't even and didn't Wazoo almost had a chance to
win that game, and so like that shouldn't even have
been a game because there was so much more talent
on the side of you Dub in that game. But

(32:55):
doonza Polk McMillan. I mean, so please don't head to
head me on that. One. Another thing I want to
mention two torn acls and right knee and shoulder issues
for Pennix throughout his career, mostly at Indiana at IU.
But I don't know of any injury history that cam

(33:17):
Moortz had, So that's another thing to sort of to
keep in mind as we go through. Y'all want to
hate on him, I get it. You know, everybody wants
to hate him because he went to the U. Just
like all the hate you get towards Carson Beck right now.
You know who was going to be the number one
pick a year ago going into this draft one year
ago by mel Kiper, Daniel Jeremiah and every legitimate operative word, legitimate,

(33:40):
valid operative word, valid NFL draft analyst. Carson Beck didn't
have a good year. But I'll take a guy who
went to back to back SEC championship games. Okay, I'll
take that guy any day of the week. He had
the most drop passes of any team in the country
in college football Georgia. Look at what he had. Look

(34:04):
at the year he had when he had Brock Bauers
and Ladmconkey, two studs in the NFL right now, So
just saying, just saying, humellon, come up the top of
the hour. Nico Harrison, Nico Nico Nico. A lot of
guys named Nico these days are making dumb decisions. It's

(34:24):
funny that's actually there. There's a there's an improvised take
of the year. The two dumbest decisions this year are
both by gentlemen named Nico. Number one, Nico Harrison trading
Luka Doncic for Anthony Davis. We all know how that
one worked out, now, don't we. And then Nico iam

(34:46):
ali Ava tried to strong arm Tennessee to make him
pay them, make him make them pay him four million dollars,
doesn't show up to spring practice. Josh Heipel said thanks,
but no thanks, We're gonna move on. He ends up
transferring to a trash football school known as UCLA that

(35:09):
they don't even care about football if it is fourteen
out of eighteen Big Ten teams last year and basically
took two point four million dollars which he made the
last two years, first year backing up Joe Milton. This
year starting and now after all these screw you taxes
in California will make nine hundred grand. If your name
is Nico and you're in sports, it's been a bad

(35:31):
year for you. But the guy that I'm talking about
for the Dallas Mavericks when he was put in the
firing range by the media.

Speaker 3 (35:39):
Listen to this, Luca comes back to town, the Lakers
games happening, and you're standing there and there's thousands of
people channing for you to be fired. That's an experience
that none of us, you know, no one's channing for
our you know, for us to lose our jobs. Why
why shouldn't you be fired?

Speaker 4 (36:01):
Well, one, I think I've done a really good job
here and I don't think I can be judged by
the injuries this year. You have to judge from totality,
from beginning to end, and so I think I have
a really good working relationship with Patrick.

Speaker 1 (36:18):
He's speaking of the owner of the Dallas Mavis, Patrick Dumont.
So he did do a good job prior to that trade.
I'm not gonna lie to you, like he's done a
really good job. He acquired Daniel Gafford last year. I
also believe PJ. Washington, which helped them get to the finals,
and then he messed it all up. They always say,

(36:39):
what is it? You take an entire your entire life
to become successful in your career, and you can ruin
it all in less than thirty seconds. Well that's what
he did when he traded Luka Doncic. He ruined it.
And you can tell Dumont right now, there's reports out
there that he is absolutely he's irate because the fan

(37:01):
base are boycotting the Mavericks. They are literally boycotting because
of Nico Harrison. They want him gone. They're chanting fire
Nico at Mavericks' home games at the American Airlines Center.
It's bad, It's really bad, and it sucks that you
can have such an unbelievable successful career and then f

(37:24):
it up. But boy did he f it up. Man.
So if you're Nico, man, you made a lot of
dumb decisions this year, Harrison, Iam ali Ava, both of
them stupid decisions, really dumb. All right? Coming up next
the aforementioned QB one Hugh Millen, first time I've ever

(37:45):
met him. Maybe it'll be live on the air. Looking
forward to that also today, looking forward to in about
an hour, in twenty minutes, bores Head. Bores Head is
coming in thanks to Donovan provision in Deli. My main man,
Patrick dropping buy some bares Head subs from me. Christopher

(38:06):
Kid Humillan purple sheet, and the boys and girls as well,
looking forward to all that humillin next right here in
studio on MJ in the midday ninety three to three
kjr at them
