Speaker 1 (00:00):
Well, before we get to the other guy, just give
me because I know we got a lot on that comparison.
So sum up in the best sort of cliff notes
version your thoughts on cam word. Oh and more over,
Hugh Millan, if you were a GM, and I think
you could be a GM in the NFL, certainly you'd
be better at picking offensive skill positions in the first round,

(00:23):
unlike a former six times Super Bowl championship head coach
named Bill Belichick.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
Soon.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
You know, someone said to me last night. They said that,
and someone I respect a lot in the media, they said,
the NFL.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
Is done with Bill Belichick. They've moved on. I said no.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
I said he can do. He won six titles again.
They said, no, go dude, Why do you think with
a twenty four year old girlfriend, she's made him look
like a fool. The NFL has an image and they
don't want that. They don't want a seventy three year
old soon to be seventy three year old man with
a girl fifty years younger the NFL.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
That's just a bad they said, the NFL.

Speaker 1 (00:59):
He thinks that the NFL is done with Bill Belichick
for whatever, We don't have to go too much.

Speaker 3 (01:03):
In this but like, well, that's an interesting proposition because
then so who's who's the NFL though, Like, okay, the
collective owners, the thirty two, so the aggregate owners, okay cycle, yeah,
but but that may have more to do with what
happened the last couple of years. And if you look
at his record, I don't have it right in front

(01:24):
of me, but his his record when he when Tom
Brady's not his starting quarterback's pretty appalling. It's bad. Yeah. Yeah,
well he got exposed. I mean he was at the Browns,
you know, five and ran him out of there and
then he and then he well that it was our modell. Well,
but they did make the playoffs and they beat Parcels
in the playoffs one year they did. But what was

(01:45):
he the the year that uh that he got fired. Yeah,
he was a nine Yeah, losing record. His staff was
amazing and Nick Saban believable staff. Then he goes five
and eleven and he starts zero and two. I mean
at that juncture before Bledsoe gets his lung blown out.
If you just said, okay, time stops right now. Bill

(02:07):
Belichick is just he's just like in the midst of
the universe, like I.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
Forgot what I call a lot of hosts and sports
talk radio. I call them jags, just another guy. He
was a jack, just another coach at that point.

Speaker 4 (02:21):
He's a jack.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
Yeah, all right?

Speaker 3 (02:23):
Uh, cam Ord, Cam word.

Speaker 1 (02:25):
If before you give us your your best like detailed,
meticulous synopsis. If he was in last year's draft, Caleb Williams,
Drake May, Jaden Daniels, Michael Pennix, Bonix, where would you
rank him in.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
That class as they were thought of before? If he
was in last year's class, would you take it? I
understand I think he I think it would have been third,
ahead of who, well, Drake May and oh and Nicks
and yeah and and Pattick. Why would you put him
over Drake May? I'm saying you asked That's not the
question you asked me. You said, where do I think
he would have been? Where? I think that he would

(03:02):
have been evaluated the number three quarterback? Why?

Speaker 2 (03:05):
Better than Drake May?

Speaker 1 (03:05):
Though? More more things to like, And that's interesting to Driegue.
I didn't expect that from you.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
I didn't expect there there were some there were some
questions about Drake May that it wasn't a slam dunk
that he was going. Now he see, here's the thing
we can't. It's so easy to say, Hey, Drake May
ended the year pretty good with the Patriots on a
bad team. I'm only talking about what he was perceived,
what his tape showed, and how he was perceived as

(03:34):
as a prospect.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
So here's what Tom pellisero. It came out most scouts
and coaches would have ranked cam Ward between Michael Pennox
and bow Nicks if he was in last year's draft class,
but they would have ranked Ward below Jayden Daniels, Caleb
Williams and Drake May, he says, most scouts.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
But I like the fact that you like him over
Drake May.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
I love that. Well, I love that. So, first of all,
I don't like cam Ward. Why well a lot of reasons.
Some of what he does kind of hurts my football soul.
And he's the laziest in terms of when he hands
the ball off. Remember now, I was in a meeting

(04:17):
room with where where Alex Gibbs put a laser pointer
on John Elway and goes quarterback carry out your fake
like if Camp you know what I'm talking about, When
Camored hands the ball off, if he were to just
take two steps with vigor towards the alley ups, he
would influence defenders to think he might have the ball,
and he.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
Just refused to do that. Can that be taught?

Speaker 3 (04:39):
Yes? Okay? But when he when he I'm just saying,
all right, well, I'll jump ahead to another. My kids
started against him twice and is oh and two and
then and then and then he was on the Florida team,
so I've seen oh and three. Uh, the way he
goes out of bounds. You know, he's kind of there's
a nonchalance to him, like I played with Troy Aikman,

(05:02):
like who was Everything was serious as answer a tsunami,
right and uh and so just to see the nonchalant
nature of this guy, you know, it's just not my style.
Pulling yourself out at halftime of a bowl game. Okay, okay,
a winnable bowl game. Okay, let me just let me

(05:23):
Can I just go to retort on that? Please? All right?

Speaker 1 (05:26):
First of all, he shouldn't have played in the game
to begin with. Number one, I agree with you, but
he shouldn't even play in the game period.

Speaker 3 (05:32):
He wanted to get the record, though, he which he got.
He got that he got the freaking Pop Tarts Bowl,
But I also heard it was Miami also wanted him
for some like for for it was a financial windfall
for Miami if he played, he played half it was
it was something behind the scenes.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
So there was that.

Speaker 1 (05:50):
So but hang on, let's let's let's say so he
played for the Hurricanes when he left Wazu.

Speaker 2 (05:55):
He was a fourth or fifth round pick a year ago.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
He comes to Miami under Shannon Dawson was one of
the best offensive coordinators in college football. He becomes the
number one overall pick. So he did something right now.
Oh no, no, I said, I don't like him personally, Okay,
I just I just told you the Okay, some of
the things that hurt that like to me, like, that's

(06:17):
not how you play the position. Now, now let me
say the things that if I'm a team why I
said above Drake may, I would not want to have
money bet against this dude.

Speaker 3 (06:29):
He is. I was at the floor to Miami game.
Oh yeah, I was like a forty eight yard line
like perfect Cities, and I'm just watching this guy and
he's he's like he's next level, Like his his his anticipation,
his ability to create he has a he has a

(06:50):
vision in a sense that this is gonna be the
worst and weirdest analogy because he's he's so polar, polar,
different in almost every way. But Peyton Manning had. I
marveled when I studied Peyton Manning at his ability to
see the potential for big plays down the field, like

(07:11):
like like he's reading guys twenty thirty yards down and
he just kind of knows, hey, I can knife this
ball twenty eight yards down here and the safety won't
get there. And you got this ability with cam Ward
where he's he's got a great anticipation and then he's
got horsepower when he wants to step on it, he

(07:31):
can he can move that corner out of Florida, get
where Orge or stop in zone coverage. You have what
I turned when I coach quarterback, the trailing defender and
the converging defender. And I've looked at the interception reel
three hundred and sixty four interceptions of all of NFL

(07:53):
quarterbacks because i want to say, what's the commonality, And
I'm just going to tell you that the converge defender
gets ten times as many intercepts, meaning the guy out
in front. So what do I mean by guy. I'll
just I know we're on radio. There's let's say there's
two defenders in the middle of the field and a
receiver is gonna he's gonna come at one on the

(08:15):
quarterbacks left, okay, but he's going to be moving towards another.
As a quarterback, you can see that guy that he's
running away from. But the guy out in front is
the guy that's lurking, and he gets that. So he
has so many balls where he he sees that hole
and he has the juice to beat the converging defender.

Speaker 1 (08:36):
That's amazing, because you know, I want to get this
in what is the disparity? I'm not leading the witness
on the stand here between Cam Word and shaduer Sanders.

Speaker 3 (08:48):
I don't like Shador as a quarterback because I think
he's limited in his athleticism. His sack tape is the
worst I've ever seen for a any first round draft
pick in the last twenty seven years. He takes. He
takes sacks that that would have to be cleaned up.
So much of his tape they're talking about seventy four percent. Honestly,

(09:08):
I think it's the laziest analysis I've ever heard. He
had one hundred and sixty eight attempts behind the line
of scrimmage. That was number one in FBS. You watched
the tape, I've watched game after game after game. He's
really good at the quick game, slants and hitches and
quick like the quick game. But but then where's there's
just not enough down the field. There are some His

(09:31):
highlight tape is cool, but there's not enough when you
watch the games, there's not enough. And so so I
don't think he's an elite athlete. I don't think he
I think he misses a lot of stuff. Now, they
had a bad team, they had a bad offensive line,
they didn't have a running game. They're very poorly coach.
But they had really good receivers. Like who's number ten
for Colorado? Like Seattle Horn? Pick Horn? No, Horn's good

(09:55):
number ten. Get that guy on the third day because
I don't know what his name, but but every time
there's a little bit of trouble for uh Shador Sanders,
he's got He's got Trevor's Hunter just bailing him out
of all of these Thames and Joe Horn. But that
but this number ten guy was a dude, like you
could get that guy probably in the sixth round and

(10:17):
and he might make your team. So any he had
really good receivers, bad offensive line, But I just don't
see he certainly doesn't have the physical skills of cam Ward.
There's nowhere near What about the character?

Speaker 1 (10:33):
I mean, I know you don't like cam Woard's character first,
and this is the first I've heard of this, but
but what about Shuder's character.

Speaker 3 (10:38):
Well, I don't like throwing the offensive line under the
bus after Nebraska when he sits there in a press
press conference when he was down.

Speaker 1 (10:45):
But that play that you showed me today we should't
show because we're on radio, Well you describe it. So
he gets sacked against Nebraska and his offensive lineman goes
and I watched that game, but I don't I didn't
get this angle. His offensive lineman goes to lift him
up and pick him up, and he basically like almost

(11:06):
punches his offensive lineman's hand away, like get the f
away from me, but punch it right on his hand,
like get away. Yeah, I've never seen that in my life,
and you won't. And I'll tell you right now. His
stock is dropping and you can say what you want
about mock this mock that there are other than mel Kiper.
Right now, I'm seeing him and I think he'll end

(11:29):
up going because I think the one coach that can
handle him and the one coach that Dion will defer
to and not have Tuesday afternoon press conference Boulders Mike
Tom Yeah, I think he goes to it.

Speaker 5 (11:40):
Now.

Speaker 3 (11:40):
A lot of people have been saying number nine here,
let me, let me, let's paint this case, okay, because
Derek Carr's got a solder and they me in that play,
so they have a desperate need.

Speaker 2 (11:50):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (11:51):
Who's the head coach at the Saints Kellen Blamore. Who
are the three quarterbacks that he's coached in his professional career?
Dak Prescott, Jalen Hurts? And was he there for Romo?

Speaker 2 (12:03):
No?

Speaker 3 (12:03):
No, he wasn't there for Romo? Justin Herbert just oh,
that's Dak Prescott's right, total pro total pro YEP, like
like no drama pro. What's Justin Herbert? No drama pro?
What's Jalen Hurts? No drama pro? I just think? And
what's Kellen Moore's What was Kellen Moore's strength as a

(12:25):
player at Boys State when he was a Heisman finalist.
You know, just the nuances of the game. I think
this what what what do you think is the if
you're a Saint fan? I want you to just imagine
you're an ardent Saint fan. What is the ideal scenario
for you? And I'll give you a hint.

Speaker 1 (12:42):
Think a little bit long term. I mean, I would
go Tyler Warren, how about how about this? How about
you just you just rerat with Spencer Rattler or Jay
Hayne or whatever. And then where did where did arch
Manning grow up and go to high school?

Speaker 2 (13:00):
New Orleans?

Speaker 3 (13:01):
If you're a if, you're an if you're if you're
as passionate for the Saints as we are for the Seahawks?
Are you do you telling me you're not thinking, oh
my god, how do we get arch Manning? Right?

Speaker 2 (13:13):
Well?

Speaker 3 (13:13):
One way? And and look, coaches and players don't sit
around and go let's tank. Okay, So I know I'm
intimating that. I'm just saying, Mickey Loomis is the GM there.
He's been around a long time.

Speaker 1 (13:26):
I know.

Speaker 2 (13:27):
Okay, I see where you're going, and I see where you're.

Speaker 3 (13:29):
Going like you're not You're You're never going to utter
the words, let's tank for arch. But if you're sitting
there saying Sanders isn't really our guy, you know, like
I don't think he's our our long term guy. Why
were we spending that top ten pick on him? Right?

Speaker 1 (13:48):
Uh?

Speaker 3 (13:48):
You know, I, I mean crazier thoughts have have probably entered,
uh you know, on the owner with Now that's the
that's the kookie guy's wife, right, Benson Benson's wife.

Speaker 1 (13:59):
Right. So, by the way, I checked twenty twenty four
colorad roster, there's no number ten on this past season.
According to the Colorado's website, Jontey Wester oh number ten
last season. I'm looking at the roster on the Colorado
website and it says there is no number.

Speaker 4 (14:14):
Ten because he is going to the draft.

Speaker 1 (14:17):
No, but no, but Travis Hunter and chaduer Sanders are
on here. It's twenty twenty four.

Speaker 4 (14:22):
Le Jontey Wester is his name?

Speaker 3 (14:24):
Does Is that her name of rebel Tea? I didn't
look up his name.

Speaker 1 (14:26):
Yeah, I just, I just I'm gonna look at their
twenty twenty four roster on the cubuffs dot com actual
web page.

Speaker 3 (14:33):
It goes from number nine Walter Taylor to number.

Speaker 4 (14:35):
Seventy four catches for nine or thirty one yards?

Speaker 3 (14:37):
Well, it must be him, then Seas was he? Number
ten was there? He was a third receiver. Okay, then
that's him because he had Joe Horn was there?

Speaker 4 (14:44):
Two?

Speaker 3 (14:44):
Yep, Travis Hunter was there? One, you know, like like
like a massive one, like they quote us number one. Right,
we're up against it and he we got the what
do you say?

Speaker 2 (14:54):
Text of the day?

Speaker 3 (14:54):
Coming up next?

Speaker 1 (14:55):
I have to ask you, if you're a GM, would
you take Schauderer Standers in the first round?

Speaker 5 (15:00):
No?

Speaker 3 (15:01):
I love it.

Speaker 1 (15:01):
There we go. And by the way, he's not alone.
There's a lot of other people are saying right now now.
I think he will end up going. I think Pittsburgh's
the team, and I think this whole Aaron Rodgers. I
think Aaron Rodgers is waiting to see what teams do.
That's why he didn't announce where he's going to go
before the draft. I think that should dour Sanders will
be at Pittsburgh Steeler tomorrow night at twenty one only.

Speaker 3 (15:21):
I think. I think that's good man.

Speaker 1 (15:23):
And because Dion won't have Tuesday tlex conferences in the
grilled or saying, oh, can you believe what? He won't
do that to Tomlin. He won't throw Tomlin underneath the bus.
He won't do that to him. He won't do that.
And I think there would be a mutual respect there.
And but for Pittsburgh should do her, and then what
if you got should do her?

Speaker 2 (15:44):
Backing up, do you still bringing Aaron rot?

Speaker 3 (15:46):
But you also in twenty twenty two you took a
quarterback right, local kid, I'll pick it and how that
work out? And so he may be sitting there going yeah, wait, wait,
just because we have a need.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
What did that get us?

Speaker 1 (16:00):
That's it all right, Hugh, listen, appreciate coming studio. We'll
see you later at Queen Anne Beer Hawk. Thank you
so much. The Hew and MJ and the midday show
was fun while lasted, and we'll get back to the
what do you say say? Four one great man, it's great,
come out and say hello and get ready for the
twenty sixth Maler and Millin mock draft. And don't forget

(16:23):
he was also going to be on with the Mayor
of Maple Valley and Furness and Greg Cosell. That is
a can't miss football segment. Hugh and Greg co sell
On simultaneously. Are you kidding me? What time?

Speaker 2 (16:37):
Is that? Exactly it? You know? I think right at
the top.

Speaker 1 (16:41):
Okay, all right, well we're going to talk to the
mayor in the final segment too, so we'll get the
exact time.

Speaker 2 (16:45):
Thank you, Hugh. Great to meet you.

Speaker 1 (16:47):
I knew we'd connect just by changing text message and
talking via you know whatever, and then to connect in
person finally was great. So we will have the what
do you say text to the today four nine four
five one coming up next. Don't go anywhere, MJ in
the midday.

Speaker 3 (17:22):
All I want to thank Patrick.

Speaker 1 (17:24):
From Donovan's Provision in Delhi, the fine folks at Bory's Head. Uh,
that was just we are Christopher kidd you good, you're
feeling good, you're.

Speaker 4 (17:34):
Eating good man? Do you want to do the text everybody?

Speaker 1 (17:38):
I could do that. We can do that. It's a
lot of Mark James s t f U. When you
was talking, Okay, I got that. We we duly noted,
but no, really and I'll do seriousness. Thank you very
much to Patrick from Boor's Head. I mean, we are
not worthy, we really are not worthy of this unbelievable
and you know the thing about it, And this is

(17:59):
why I want to just kind of just why I
decided to go in radio rather than like kind of like,
you know, a lot of people when I was in
grad school at the Universe of Miami a few years
before Cammord and I was in school with Jimmy Graham
and Greg Olsen and Sean Taylor Rest in Peace and

(18:21):
all those guys. But a lot of people, like everyone
want to be on TV. They want to be on TV.
I'm like, nah, man, you never have a better connection
with the audience in radio. And you know, I remember
coming in that day and I'm like, I'm thinking about
things that I can't get since I've been up in Seattle,
and I been to a couple safeways and I didn't

(18:41):
see Boar's head. And I went to another place and
I didn't see Boar's head. And I put that out there,
and lo and behold, God blessed Patrick Shanahan because somebody
who was listening said, Hey, Pat, they're talking about bores said.

Speaker 3 (18:57):
On the radio.

Speaker 1 (18:58):
He text into the tech line at four nine five
one like one of you. He said, Hey, Patrick Shanahan,
I'm the president, CEO, owner of Donovan's provision in deli.
I love to bring buy some, Bor said, sandwiches. Here's
my number. Now, this seemed pretty authentic, so I said,
you know what, I'm gonna trust my gut on this one.

(19:18):
This seems really good and pretty legit. I did, And
here we are. He just dropped off. Bor said again,
Hugh Millen's loving it, Purple sheets loving it, Christopher kids
loving it, our sales department's loving it, alred In Eric's
everybody's loving it. And I just think, you know it,
just it's just good, Bor said, just brings people together.
It didn't think it would bring everybody together.

Speaker 3 (19:40):
All right? How about this from the four two five?
You know what doesn't make sense?

Speaker 1 (19:44):
The Titians have had one hundred and nine days to
make a decision who they're going to draft number one overall,
and yet they still get fifteen minutes to make their pick.
Why do they need another fifty minutes when they already
have one hundred and nine days?

Speaker 3 (19:55):
Lll out.

Speaker 1 (19:56):
More Over, from the four two five, it's already a
done the deal. I agree, like they should. Roger Goodell
should come on tomorrow night say the Titans are on
the clock and with the first pick, In the twenty
twenty five NFL Draft, the Tennessee Titans select Camboard quarterback
the u University of Miami. I agree with that, Like,

(20:17):
why come on, man, I mean, it's unbelievable, all right, Chris,
I'll keep going. If you want to.

Speaker 4 (20:21):
Eat, I can help. Who can play that game?

Speaker 3 (20:24):
All right?

Speaker 5 (20:24):
Good?

Speaker 4 (20:25):
Here we go. This one's went on thirty six.

Speaker 6 (20:27):
So Mark, I was thinking about what Paul Hammon said yesterday.
He seems to have forgot his company TKO gup is
always on ESPN. Yes, so that's the UFC side. So
technically Paul was critical of his own business partner in.

Speaker 1 (20:45):
A way valid, salient and very thought provoking.

Speaker 3 (20:50):
Point. Wow, he's that's really that's a really good one. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (20:55):
And what we're talking about here, Paul Hayman went on
Pat McAfee's show yesterday and basically completely Sandbaghum and really
did him dirty. And it was it was bad. It
was really really bad. All right, Christopher. This is for you, Chris,
and I really want you to write this down.

Speaker 3 (21:12):
Hello.

Speaker 1 (21:13):
You guys are doing a great job from the two
five to three. However, I'm texting about something else. I've
been listening to the station religiously since it turned to
sports only in nineteen ninety one and nineteen ninety two,
and for some reason, by the way, Softy wasn't even
here then. Yet, for some reason a number of years ago,
I was blocked on Twitter. At the time, I don't

(21:33):
remember why I was blocked or even remember doing anything
to be blocked. So I have respectfully asked that you
unblocked me on Twitter so I again can follow my
favorite station, k j R his handle, Chris, I.

Speaker 4 (21:47):
Saw that earlier today.

Speaker 1 (21:48):
Oh look at Christopher KNT already did his hand. I'm
gonna lease to his Twitter hand on anyway. Chris Messen
C h R I, S n E S s E.
And Chris, you are unblocked, and you are and you
can follow it. Mark James two M A R C James.
So I'm glad you did that. That's cool, and I
don't know why you were blocked. But nineteen ninety one
ninety two, man, that is that is crazy.

Speaker 4 (22:10):
This is from our guy, Marcus. I can't wait for that.

Speaker 6 (22:14):
I'm not sure what he was referring to, but that
was probably in the second with you and Hugh, but
he basically says, Ian you better get those breaks out.

Speaker 3 (22:22):
Oh, he can't wait for.

Speaker 6 (22:23):
The Ian to interview Greg Cosel, Greg Cosl and Hugh Millen.
He's saying, get the breaks out of the way because
there's not going to be enough time, and he can't
wait to see you down there Mark later this afternoon.

Speaker 1 (22:35):
All right, yeah, yeah, good good, I'll see you. All right,
let's see here, huh. All right, I like to propose.
She tells me not to read the negative ones, but
I don't care.

Speaker 4 (22:48):
Here you go, put your balls on the table.

Speaker 1 (22:51):
So I only listened to the new guy at the
beginning of each hour to hear the contest word.

Speaker 3 (22:55):
Haven't heard it once from Mark? What's up with that?

Speaker 1 (22:57):
By the way, I'm a fifteen year every day listen,
but can not stand this guy. Poor kid, I miss him.
All right, there you go one of things.

Speaker 4 (23:05):
You have read the top. You're okay, We got.

Speaker 1 (23:08):
You, ZJ Braid. Thank you for following my Instagram, my handles,
Mark James talk. You know you did it live time
you get get ridy in here. Oh this one kid,
I gotta read MJ. You're seriously gonna make the outrageous
claim that there isn't a soccer player in the entire
world who's as athletic as a college football player in
the US. I'm a fan of Travis Hunter and appreciate
that he's an amazing athlete, but come on, man, if

(23:30):
you're going to trash a sport that you don't understand
or like, that's fine. But now I'm starting to question
whether other claims you can make and be disproven with
two minutes of Google searching, Well, I can tell you this.
He's an NFL player who is playing on the college level.
The last two years should have been three, but he
played one year at Jackson State, and yes, he's a

(23:50):
better athlete than every soccer player out there.

Speaker 4 (23:53):
And if the last three years, then.

Speaker 1 (23:56):
Right, yeah, three years, but Jackson State one year and
then calrad two. But he's saying that he's just a
college No, he's a pro athlete that was playing at
the college level and he's a better athlete. Chris, I'm
not going on a limb by saying this either, but
I figured I would piss off soccer guy and soccer.

Speaker 2 (24:16):
Guy tough ish, tough ish.

Speaker 1 (24:20):
If you don't like Travis Hunter being a better athlete
than everybody in your sport, then get somebody who's a
better athlete than Travis Hunter. For simple easier said than done,
but good luck doing that. Oh and for those of
you that said shoe hey Otani is a better athlete
than Travis Hunter, look up the definition of athlete. We're
not saying his skill set in baseball isn't better than

(24:43):
what Travis hunters will be in the NFL because we
don't know. We haven't seen Travis Hunter play in the
NFL yet. That will be determined on Sundays in the future.
But if you think that Shoe a Otani is a
better athlete than Travis Hunter, please, what is your definition
of an athlete?

Speaker 2 (24:59):
I'd love to no, please, I'd love to know.

Speaker 1 (25:03):
I'm sorry, soccer guy, but he just is and it's
just unbelievable. How about Marquez? I love Marquez. I don't
get why people dislike you. This point type of interaction
is to peacefully disagree with people, and I agree with everyone.
So you're moving up to my list of favors. Marcus.
I appreciate that, man, Thank you. I appreciate that very much.

Speaker 4 (25:25):
Last one for me, all right, MJ.

Speaker 6 (25:28):
I agree with you about Dix, but have you tried
the Pacific Northwest Staple, Tim's Cascade c Salt and Vinegar
Potato tips.

Speaker 1 (25:36):
Yet, first of all, I like Dix Burgers. I like
Dix Burgers go too, Okay, I always say Burgers after Dix.

Speaker 2 (25:43):
There's a reason why.

Speaker 1 (25:44):
But I love the Deluxe I love and I like
this the the soggy fries with the strawberry milkshake. I'm
all that. But no, I haven't tried that yet. I
have not tried. But anyway, how about this, Michael Pennix
is evently cam Ward is a KIA. Just because he
went to you doesn't mean he's anything. Absolute facts hashtag
draft bust Ward. Okay, well, I'm glad that you have

(26:07):
a crystal ball. I'm really glad that you do. Thank
you to Joey Ward, Cooper Wall and all the fine
folks there that just follow me on Instagram.

Speaker 3 (26:15):
Mark James Talk, m ar C. James Talk.

Speaker 1 (26:18):
I won't read this one because I know y'all think
I'll be doing this one from the four to two
five kid that ends in forty five.

Speaker 2 (26:25):
You're the best, MJ. But I didn't want to read that.

Speaker 1 (26:28):
But it is, you know, it is what it is,
so there there it is Uh, hey, it's been a
fun day and I can't wait to get out to
Queen Anne Beer Hall for the twenty sixth.

Speaker 3 (26:41):
And nope, nope, no, twenty sixth annual.

Speaker 1 (26:44):
Yes you said, it's the twenty sixth annual Mahler and
Millen mock Draft. And by the way, I don't need
to speak for Dick Fane and Dick Fane and iron
opposite ends of the spectrum about a lot of things,
he said, not even close, Travis Hunter being a much
better athlete than every soccer player there. Don't hate the messenger.
It's like they say, don't hate the player, hate the game.

(27:06):
I'm just telling you a fact, Travis Hunter. You are
watching an absolute anomaly, an aberration, something we men never
see again.

Speaker 2 (27:16):
You need to understand and appreciate.

Speaker 1 (27:18):
We should all get down and genuflect at the mere
thought of Travis Hunter. And I'll be the first on
my knees bowing down at his greatness, because he is
the greatest athlete right now, in my opinion, in the
world period. All right, that's the what you say text
of the day. We appreciate the fine folks. Patrick Shanahan

(27:39):

said sandwiches. I'm gonna scarf the end of this baguette

Speaker 5 (29:14):

Speaker 2 (29:15):
It's going to be a fun time. And it's it's
a really big deal.

Speaker 3 (29:17):

Speaker 2 (29:18):
I guess I didn't know.

Speaker 1 (29:20):

Speaker 3 (29:29):

Speaker 2 (29:30):
Coming up at one. How big the draft is on
our station.

Speaker 1 (29:34):
It's huge and not only is it And I can
tell you this having this is my sixth market and
hopefully my last, hopefully my last.

Speaker 3 (29:44):
We all do radio walk abouts.

Speaker 1 (29:46):
That's right, right exactly, you know, having been in Boston, Atlanta, Charlotte, Tampa,
Miami and now Seattle. No station, and I mean no
station does it better than ninety three three KGRFM. And
I'm not saying that because I'm here. I'm saying that
because it's a fact and it's true. Nobody and what

(30:06):
even made it more over today is my my new BFF,
Our new bff, Patrick Shanahan and the fine folks had
Donovan's provision.

Speaker 3 (30:14):

Speaker 2 (30:15):

Speaker 1 (30:17):
He got there was the number one pick he brought
in the boys said, and we are all happy.

Speaker 2 (30:21):

Speaker 5 (30:22):
I don't understand why bors Head wouldn't make anyone happy, right,
is the best meats, the best.

Speaker 2 (30:27):
Cheeses, everything. I was just telling condiments.

Speaker 5 (30:31):
I owe all the condiments too, Like when you say
spicy mustard, it's actually appropriately.

Speaker 2 (30:36):
Spicy, thank you.

Speaker 5 (30:37):
When I was fifteen, I started working in Delhi and
New York. You know that's where it's at is It's
all bors Had.

Speaker 1 (30:44):
Products, absolutely, and when you know when it's borsaid, then
you know it's legit.

Speaker 2 (30:49):
So I so there is this grocery store.

Speaker 1 (30:51):
Oh you know this, Jess, because you went to college
in Springfield, in my hometown. There is a grocery store
in the suburb of Springfield that I grew up in
called Big wy Oh yeah. So so listen to this, Patrick
love this. My mom and dad met my father rest
in peace, God bless him. But I always dis might

(31:11):
just shock a lot of you. I talked a lot
of trash about where I grew up, about the town
I grew up.

Speaker 2 (31:17):
I went to college there.

Speaker 1 (31:18):
I understand, okay, but but like, does it shock you
that I talked?

Speaker 3 (31:22):
Try?

Speaker 1 (31:22):
Now, I grew up in a very middle class area.
I mean, I wouldn't have changed it. My neighborhood, my friends,
we had an unbelievable time.

Speaker 3 (31:30):
I loved it. I wouldn't change it for anything.

Speaker 1 (31:32):
In the time we grew up, mid eighties and mid nineties,
all that stuff, it was great.

Speaker 2 (31:36):
But like the area that grew up in, and I
just I talked a lot of trash. So they would
always go to Big Why.

Speaker 1 (31:40):
And I'm like dad, and I tell my mom, I'm
going to stop and Shop Why because stop and Shop.

Speaker 3 (31:47):
Has Boor said, Well, and Big Wy didn't.

Speaker 1 (31:51):
Big Y had some crappy ass wanna be just garbage?

Speaker 2 (31:56):
Wanna be Boor said, And guess what happened. I'm home
last year.

Speaker 1 (32:01):
Oh only about twenty eight years after I tried my
first Boar said in Athens, Georgia, nineteen ninety six.

Speaker 2 (32:09):
They big Y has boorsaid, Now, I mean it's low
and b holes.

Speaker 5 (32:13):
So only if you're gonna go you know, cold cuts, right,
it's the only way to go, well anything, And I
will put my stamp on that.

Speaker 3 (32:19):
And there's a grocery store. Patrick knows this. So the
Boor said.

Speaker 1 (32:22):
Headquarters are in Sarasota Beautiful Area and there's a grocery
store down there that owns the south called Publics, and
they have these things called pub subs. Well, a pub
sub it is only good because it has bors head meat.
Without the borshead meat, the pub subs. Now, they do
make their own bread. Their white Mountain bread is to

(32:43):
die for. But it's the bor's head meats. So listen
to this, jess. They have all the great bores head condiments, mayonnaise,
spicy mustard, all that stuff. But well, well though they
don't they don't have the mayonnaise. And I go, so
I go to where you can buy the mayonnaise, and
I open a new one. I say, you're gonna put
this borshead manonnaise because I don't like Public's mayonnaise. So

(33:03):
I will I make them do that. We don't know
if we can do that. I'm like, oh, you're doing it.

Speaker 2 (33:07):
I have a large respect for any particular eating. Oh
you're doing it.

Speaker 3 (33:11):
If it's a meal, you're doing it. Make it your meal.
That's all that matters. I appreciate.

Speaker 1 (33:15):
Hugh Millan coming up next, the Mayor of Maple Valley,
Ian Furness will have great co sale. Hume Millan on
at the same time. Can't wait for that. Thanks to
Christopher Kidd and Hugh Millan. Will come out to Queen
Ann Beer Hall three o'clock today seven for the twenty
six annual Maler Millin Mock Draft.

Speaker 3 (33:33):

and all the fine folks at Donovan the Provision in Delhi.
