(00:03):
Yeah, I feel how it feelto be up on that stage. Yeah.
I mean when when Jen asked me, it wasn't really an option,
I really wanted to, you know, give back to him. You give
so much to me this year, and UM, I can't really show my
appreciation until you know, UM,until I do think things like that.
But he means the world to meand I look up to him for the
(00:26):
last you know, X amount ofyears since I'm a kid basically, so
it's not easy to go out thereand stick to people. But for him,
I would do anything this last season, like as his teammate, as
his friends, seeing him one thingafter another and just trying to be their
new supporter moving into English. Yeah, I think it's It's definitely not something
you want someone and you're surrounding togo through. Um. I don't think
(00:48):
you want anybody in this in theirlife to go through something like that in
this amount of time. But UM, you know, being able to be
there with him and the chemmission thatwe've built towards UM during the year just
show that. UM. You know, once he needs me, I'm there,
but once I need him, heis also there. So UM,
for me, it means the world. To have someone you know as like
(01:08):
Chris, you know, look up, look look after me and uh for
me to look up to someone someonelike that, So it's, UM,
I'm I'm honored really that. Ithink that's the word. To be surrounded
by him and UM to see himlike that was really tough this year.
But UM, like I said,I think his spirit is always positive.
So you seem smiling now. It'sit's really fun, but it's something you've
(01:29):
really learned from him about what itmakes uh, and from I mean anything
from you know, food standpoint toslave too. I know how understanding you,
how you understand the game, howyou see yourself, how you evaluate
yourself. I mean it's you alwaysdo something good, but you can always
do something better. And Chris alwaysshow me that. You know, you
(01:52):
maybe you play your best game, but there's always another best game that you
can bring. So um, eitherthis or of the ice is just a
great human being in general, andthat way give back, the way he's
he's good with his family and theway he spoke, he snicked himself out
of UM, It's it's really fun. So I'm really really lucky to have
someone to look at after like hissort what kind of example obviously don't what
(02:13):
wanted him to go do what hewent to the shoot, but what kind
of examples he said? Not onlyfor you, what other players in this
general play here? And he kindof play with the shot. But yeah,
I think it just showed that, you know, there's always gonna have
tough time, and you know,to be surrounded by good people and by
your teammate, by your family,it's always important and um, you know
it's it's stuff like that happens inlife, and it's all all aways about
how you come back from from thingslike that. So I think again,
(02:36):
so well after he's come back andwe're just happy to see him back in
the locker room because he's a bigpiece of us for sure. You know
what he called you to tell youthat he had the struggle for the second
time, that it enter your mindthat more you might not ever play out
ya ya um for a little bit. I feel like he wasn't. But
no, it was like a fivesecond after. I know he was going
(02:57):
to jump on the ice two orthree days after here, and but he's
like that, you know, he'shis life is surrounded by hockey and his
family and the passion and he hasfor the game, and it's his home,
so being there on the ice makeshim feel better. So I was
just happy that he got back onhis feet and was kidding in you know,
if peoples appeared to that he mightbe working out, can you talk
(03:20):
about how or explain just how dedicatedhe is to the business of being raw
player. He's been here for seventeenrecently seasons for reasons, yeah, I
mean even last year. I rememberafter this season he basically didn't take a
day off and I was like,you know, you're you're getting to a
point where you need a little timefor yourself, your family and stuff.
But his inswer was, you know, you can always be better and you
can always improve on yourself, soseeing this always wants you to, you
(03:43):
know, perform, and um,you know, I didn't want to take
a break after this season. I'mlike, I want to be like Chris,
you know, I want to improvemy strains, so I gotta do
exactly like him. But it justshows how professional athlete needs to to be
like. And he's the perfect exampleof someone who's playing been playing in the
league for for that many years.Thank you. I think that's the first
(04:10):
thing I told Jen when I sawwhen I saw him, I'm like,
uh, I wanted to I wantedto get to know him, and he
means the world to me, andyou know, just being able to uh
walk in his spat of you know, he opened the path for all of
us, and I'm being able tosee him as he was. I was
never racking, I think more tomeet him than being on stage. So
it's I just the chance that I'mwearing the suit too at the same time,
(04:32):
and having his picture in my suitwas was great, But um,
I'm never gonna watch that spoot againand I'm probably just never gonna wear that
suit again, so it's it's definitelyit was a special moment for me to
meet this guy. Thanks you
