Speaker 4 (00:52):
Gunfire near the Harmony apartment complex on Madison's far east Side.
Cops called to the scene just before nine last night.
No damage or in reported, but police did find evidence
that shots had been fired.

Speaker 5 (01:04):
If you're saying harmony, I've heard of that place before.
Oh yeah, you have.

Speaker 4 (01:08):
This is the same complex where a fifteen year old
girl was fatally shot outside of the harmony last October
and like three other fourteen year olds were injured. This
suv pulled up in just a hail of bullets, and
earlier in the year last year, there's been quite a
few incidents. There had been another fatal shooting there as well.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
So it was actually an officer with the Madison Police
Department who we worked with with the Operation Toy Drive
last year, and that was her area and she's so
she was so excited to get in there. The resources
that she's hoping to bring to that area. That's the
people that live in that building as well.

Speaker 4 (01:40):
So yeah, challenges for sure. A third person is dead
following a listeria outbreak connected to Deli meat. Bors had
recently recalled seven million pounds of meat products following two
other listeria deaths. One of those was in New Jersey,
the other one in Illinois. Yesterday, the CDC reported this
third death in Virginia. Here in Wisconsin, the Department of

(02:02):
Health has confirmed at least one case of somebody getting
sick in the state from this lasteria outbreak. So if
you have any boors had products.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
Aws it, Well, there's a there's a cafe that I
like to go near your radio station, and all the
sandwiches I gates are wrapped in boars head papers.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
So now I'm wondering. But a lot of things.

Speaker 4 (02:20):
And for the most of us, if you're typically healthy,
you know, a little less lesteria never good, but it's
usually it can be deadly for the very young, the
very old and immune compromise.

Speaker 5 (02:33):
That's where you know we're seeing. Yeah, just like OVID
definitely really well had overseas here for this story.

Speaker 4 (02:40):
I'm sure you heard about all the drama in Austria
with Taylor Swift terror plot foiled, which could have been
just devastating. Now they say an eighteen year old Iraqi
national is being detained in connection with this alleged plot
to attack three Taylor Swift concerts in Vienna. This comes
after a nineteen year old Austro suspect reportedly confessed yesterday

(03:02):
he planned to kill himself in a large number of
people using explosive devices and knives. As seventeen year old
has also been arrested in this.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
Yeah, it's so scary with all those stories, and I
just feel like, you know, sometimes it makes you kind
of want to live in fear right and not go
on to do things things like that that make you
just think every time you go to a crowd, you
go to wherever it may be, it's so scary.

Speaker 5 (03:25):
So it is, but then do you let that.

Speaker 3 (03:28):
I feel like you can't.

Speaker 5 (03:29):
You can't.

Speaker 4 (03:29):
You've got to live your life because there's only so
much control you can have over this. Of course, the
next week, Taylor Swift her tour goes to the UK
and officials in London say, nope, those concerts are on
as scheduled. They've done all the checking and beefing up
security and so there you go. Costco is cracking down

(03:50):
on membership sharing, It's honest. They're introducing membership scanning devices
to be used at the entrance door, so members will
need to scan their cards so employees can match the
photo up with her card. For those who have cards
without photos, that's me, Costco says, I'm gonna need to
show him a valid photo ID to match up with
the name on my card, or I'm going to be

(04:11):
encouraged to get my photo taken at the membership counter.

Speaker 3 (04:14):
So you must be like I'm old school.

Speaker 1 (04:16):
I was gonna say, yeah, right when they opened, maybe
at least in this area.

Speaker 5 (04:20):
Yeah, not long after that.

Speaker 4 (04:21):
Yeah, I've had my Cosco now my husband has one
with a photo. But he he went and got a
new card just a couple of years ago. And so
I'm guessing they're going to bully me into having all
those plays.

Speaker 5 (04:32):
I hate. The pictures are always so horrible.

Speaker 3 (04:34):
Horrible. Mine is horrible. I wish said my wallet with
me right now, I show you mine. It's bad.

Speaker 4 (04:39):
Yeah, I know you think the DMV picks are bad. Hey,
don't say that to my wife. Oh that's rights. And
Snoop Dogg he is a hit and then some at
the Olympics here in Paris. So NBC reportedly is planning
to ask him to be part of the twenty twenty
six Winter Olympics coverage. I think it's great, you know
what he's bringing in. There was a report out to

(05:01):
what Snoop Dogg is getting paid here for his participation
in the Olympics in Paris. Eighteen million or excuse me,
eight million dollars for the sixteen day span eight million.

Speaker 3 (05:13):
I'd take it. I take it. What is that? If
I quickly do the mass sixteen days, eight million dollars.

Speaker 4 (05:19):
What is it?

Speaker 5 (05:20):
It's like a half mill a day loss expenses.

Speaker 3 (05:22):
Yeah, come on and sign me up.

Speaker 5 (05:24):
You can buy a lot of gin and juice.

Speaker 3 (05:27):
I see what you did there.

Speaker 1 (05:29):
All right, some great weekend, Robbie coming back, bon Joviy
the Chili Peppers.

Speaker 3 (05:33):
Plus we get to let out next that one to
one point five
