It's time for rocking. Robin's newsflash, guys, I have great news.
Yeah great, let's say on Madison'sClassic Rock one on one point five
IBA FM, and we are offon a Thursday. Robin Colbert, news
director from a Newstock thirteen ten atwyba am. She has joined me in
studio. Now, Robin, Ikind of want to pick up where we
left off. Yesterday. You weretalking about George Clooney maybe being a little

(00:23):
smug. Yeah. Read an articleabout what President Biden's team thinks about George
Clooney. Oh yeah, I'm guessingnot much anymore. You know. They
said that that little fundraiser shouldn't calllittle because I think President Biden set records
with the amount of money he raisedfrom the folks in Hollywood. But they
said that George made that all abouthim. He gave them one day.

(00:43):
That's uh. There was only oneday that George was available to host this
fundraisers. So the President had tofly back for the G seven summit.
Blah blah blah blah blah. Butthey were painting him as being very smug,
and I thought, of you,how about that? You were right?
I get one right now And againthere you go completely Jay, You're
still going to see his movies.Oh, of course, because I still
think he's cool. Speaking of PresidentBiden, he will be holding a high

(01:07):
stakes news conference later today as hecontinues to face calls from Democrats to drop
his reelection bid. The President didget some much needed good news. He
hasn't had much of that for awhile, but a new report out today
shows inflation cooled in June, outperforming economous expectations, and it's the latest

(01:27):
sign that could put more pressure onthe Fed to move forward with cutting interest
rates. So I'll be in favorof that. Yeah, we'll see how
that goes. Closer to home here, the suspect in the shooting death of
a Columbus business owner a week agoin court yesterday. Sky's not going to
get out anytime soon. Bond fortwenty two year old Jonathan Luna was set

(01:48):
at ten million dollars who in theearly morning hours of July fourth, police
say he shot and killed forty twoyear old Jose Fuentez Hernandez in downtown Columbus.
Hernandez owned Tequila's Bar and Grill.A criminal complaint says the two had
a brief bar fight Luna left andhe went to his apartment. He got
a gun and then he went backand he waited for Hernandez to leave,

(02:08):
and once outside, he shot him. Luna left town. He also bought
a bus ticket to Texas, buthe was captured at an east side hotel
here in Madison before he had achance to get out of the states.
That's premeditated murder too. Yeah, wow, Madison, this is one of
those heartbreakers. And I believe itwas a couple months ago when the little

(02:30):
boy's specialty bike was stolen and leventually did track it down. We have
another case, except it's not alittle boy, it's an old boy.
Madison police trying to find a specialtyadult tricycle they say was stolen from an
eighty four year old man. Thetheft happened on Monday afternoon on Marinette Trail
that's on the west side. Aneighbor saw someone take the bike from the

(02:51):
elderly man's garage. It's a bluetwenty twenty one Raleigh TriStar three adult bicycle
if I remember back. So,when the children's bike was stolen, social
media played a large role in Yeah, people were sharing photos of it,
so hopefully this all over. Yeah, they don't have a picture. I
don't think of the exact bike, but a very similar looking bike is what
Madison police put out a picture. So that's going to be all over social

(03:14):
media. You were really, youknow what kind of person you do that
to anybody with special needs? Imean, let alone do it to anybody,
but to someone with special needs.Yeah. I don't know if this
guy has special needs, but youknow he's eighty four, Okay, so
you know it's regardless. Yeah, yeah, yeah, absolutely, it's just
rotten. And we'll end here ona nice note. Well, I don't

(03:36):
know if it will be nice forus. I don't think we have any
seven eleven's left here, do wedon't? We have one right down the
street here by Todd Drive where thatchanged its name. Oh okay, and
really you wouldn't want to go thereanyway. You'd get more than a slurpee
today, I get it, bigis that what they do? Get shot
or a a virus if you're lookingto beat the heat though, And if

(04:00):

because it's July eleventh, seven eleven. Yeah, there you have it,
they say, no purchase necessary. He is walk in and take, walk
in and take. Okay, becareful what you take. If that one's
still on tod Drive fairly, No, it changed it, yeah, because
I thought that used to be aseven to eleven and I thought it still

(04:21):
was. But somebody corrected me theother day and I looked and it's like,
well, sure enough, it's not. What is it not? You
