Two head on crashes in recent dayshave left several people with serious injuries here
in Dane County. Sheriff's office saysthis first accident was Tuesday night on Highway
fourteen near Oregon. Both drivers sufferedserious injuries they had to be extricated from

their vehicles. The second head oncollision last night just after eight on Maple
Grove Drive and Old PB near Verona. Three people were injured in this and
one of the drivers involved, aforty one year old Madison man's facing a
second effect. W I State Patroltroopers arresting in Illinois man last night after
witnesses reported children in the back ofhis camper were crying and appeared to be

in distress. This was on theinterstate near Madison. A high risk traffic
stop was made around six thirty lastnight near the Highway one fifty one exit
on Madison's far east side. Thedriver here, a fifty seven year old
Illinois man, arrested for owy.The children in the camper they know him,
so it's not like they were abductedor anything. But they were released

to other family members. I don'tknow the relationship of the kids the driver
here, but they were handed offto responsible people, and witnesses told police
the kids had been signaling for peopleto call nine one one. So he
was hauling this camp camper down themiddle wheel and the kids were in it.

attempting to put a woman in atrash can on State Street this week.
Madison police were called to the fivehundred block Estate early Tuesday afternoon. They
got a call about a man carryinga woman upside down and attempting to put

her in the garbage. What pleasesay? The woman was incapacitated and taken
to a local hospital, and theguy here facing charges of disorderly conduct and
bail jumping. So I'm wondering ifthe woman was drunk and this guy was
just kind of being a jerk orgoogling around. He's not facing any sort
of battery or you know, temptedhomicide charges. So I'm over here looking
