Knock us down, We're gonna getup and on the way up, we're
gonna buy a kneecap off. Beforelong, we're they going to be the
last from standing. This is what'sthe greatest thing about birthday. If you
plays who win the game. That'swhy the damn field. If you want
to grown him, they crowned yourhead. But they are when we thought
they were, and we got hima Welcome to the same old podcast.

(00:26):
I'm Ron to Moss with Higheart SportsNetwork along with Dave Briquette from the Detroit
Free Press and Dave the the biggeststory in the NFL on Sunday, not
the Lions defense stepping up with sevensacks, or the Dolphins opening up a
can on the Broncos dropping seventy pointsby the way, or the Cardinals beating
the Cowboys. No, no,no, no, Taylor Swift at the

(00:52):
Chiefs game to watch her maybe boyfriendTravis Kelsey destroy the Bears levinth play of
the drive. My home walked again, so there it is a touchdown at
Kelsey. This may be the firsttime in history that Patrick Mahomes isn't the
most popular player in Arrowhead, butTaylor Swift in the house, Travis Kelsey

(01:15):
says, oh, baby, it'sa big day for the Chiefs. Could
you believe that? I mean, the whole all Sunday, That's what anyone
was talking about, was Taylor Swiftat the Chiefs game. I mean,
it popped into my Twitter feed thismorning that after the game they went out
and had a nice maybe not evencozy dinner because it was for Kelsey's mom
and you know, all the Chiefsand Brian I will say. My daughter

(01:38):
this morning asked me. She said, dah, when's the next time the
Lions play the Chiefs? Said, like four years from now. She said,
they don't play them like in theSuper Bowl or anything. No,
and even if they do, you'renot going. Well, it's a it's
a pop culture for I heard. They went to a restaurant and she paid.
She said she'll pay for everyone toleave. She paid for all their

(02:01):
dinners so that they could have aprivate meal. So that's not him,
No, her, She makes moremoney than he does. She does,
but if he's trying to impress her, it's not just going to be there.
The bracelet with his number, right, I know. Did you see
what he was wearing after the game. I would have dumped him right then
and there. Right, I didsay, see them leaving. They had

(02:22):
them walking out in the tunnel atArrowhead, you know, leaving, but
they were not holding hands. Theywere you know, you know, it's
it's early, it's yeah, exactly, it's shooters got to shoot though,
man Kelsey's he took his shot, like, hey, give him credit,
right, I know? Enough?Really? Probably not? Yeah, where
ever is she going to go toevery game? Now? You know?

(02:43):
I think she still has some tourdates coming up in Europe, right doesn't
she? Well yeah, okay, thank god, no offense. I hope
I don't get yelled at from allthe swifties because I like her. I
like her music. Yeah, toadmission, i'd like her music too.
But okay, anyway, all right, so we know she was at the
Chiefs game rooting on Travis Kelsey blahblah blah Lions bounce back game. Obviously,

(03:09):
Oh yeah, you're so sorry. And but here's the thing that impressed
I think a lot of people isthat defense. But I have a question
for you, Davey, why can'tthat defense play like that all the time?
Well, again, I don't thinkthey played that bad against Seattle,
they gave up two touchdowns on shortfields, but it's one way they play,

(03:29):
I mean getting to the quarterback thatI mean, obviously Atlanta is not
as good is there two and ohrecord, let's face it. But I
wasn't a little concerned starting the secondhalf. I'm like, this is where
Atlanta, you know, in thefirst two games, kind of came alive
right in the second half. ButDesmond Ritter couldn't do anything against that defense.

(03:51):
And that was the most impressive tome was the defense. I've never
said that before, No, Imean, this was the best defensive performance
of the Dane Campbell era. Fewestpoints they've allowed since twenty eighteen, seven
sacks. Obviously, like you mentioned, it was just a complete defensive effort.
And I know we've talked a lotabout the defense, and the defense
has taken a lot of arrows.I mean, there are a lot of
people that they were last in theNFL last year. They weren't very good

(04:15):
in twenty twenty one. I thinkmost people thought they, you know,
maybe take a small step forward thisyear. But look, they are a
deeper team, deeper defense. Theyare a better defense. There's more talent
there, Brian Branch, We've talkedabout a lot is is really you know,
I mean, he's a heck ofa player already might be the best
player on their defense, and he'sthree games into his NFL career. You
know, Hutchinson had a nice game, So look part of it obviously Desmond

(04:40):
Ritter. You're right, he couldn'tdo anything when when the Lions shut down
that running game, they really daredRitterer to throw and to beat them deep,
and they had some one on onesearly that they won. Kyle Pitts
beat Jerry Jacobs on an over routeand Pits missed them, and you know,
then he hit Kim Sutton or hehit Drake London I think against Cam
Sutton a player or two later, and so they had some opportunity. But
really the Lions said, hey,if we're gonna lose, it's gonna be

(05:02):
Desmond Ritter that has to beat us. And he couldn't do it. So
credit to Aaron Glenn, credit tothat defense for putting together and executing that
game plan. Right. I mean, we said seven sacks eleven tackles for
loss, which I thought was good, and they held Atlanta to forty four
yards rushing. I mean, theycould be Jean Robinson couldn't do anything against

(05:23):
that defense, which is to beso funny to say that defense because they've
just been so bad for so long, and to see what they did yesterday
was quite impressive. Well, Imean, I think again, look,
this is a defense that they're notgoing to be the best defense in the
NFL this year, but they're certainlynot the worst either. Right. This
is the middle of the pack probablydefense, and I mean, judging by

(05:46):
what they've done through three games, they might even be a little better than
that. I mean Kansas City granted, no Kelsey, no Travis Swift at
that game, Travis Swift, TaylorSwift, no Bam no, no Travis
Kelsey, no Taylor Swift at thatgame. But you know, they shut
my homes down pretty good. Twentypoints. You know, that's that's a
really good showing against an offense thatwhether Kadarius Tony's catching passes or not,

(06:08):
you know, they they they stillhave some explosive players there. And then
again Seattle put up some points, but I think you have to look into
how and why they did that.So I think this defense, given what
they've done so far and given who'scoming up on the schedule, I think
we're going to look up in acouple of weeks and say, is this
really a top ten sort of NFLdefense? They could be there? Well,

(06:30):
well, first of all, you'relistening to the same old podcast.
I'm Bron DeMoss with iHeart Sports Networkalong with Dabor Katt from The Free Press,
And you have to think, becausewhen C. J. Gardner Johnson
went down, you thought, oh, they're going to take shots, you
know, because even though Tracy Walkerstart had started, he just came back,
but ACL wasn't Torn Achilles, sohe was playing his first game as

(06:54):
a starter this year, right,So, and you thought maybe that would
be a step back. But theway they got to the to Ridder,
I think that's that helped them obviouslyimmensely. Right Well, I mean it's
not just Gardner Johnson that's a hugeloss, but Kirby Joseph wasn't their last
game, and I R James Houston, so they were missing some depth pieces.
But I know we've talked about thison previous editions of the podcast,

(07:17):
that you know, the depth thatthe Lions have have accumulated and they don't
have a lot of star players.Right again, Branch is really good.
Hutchinson's probably their closest thing to astar player, but no one is in
that Miles Garrett category. But youknow, they have eight nine defensive linemen
that you can roll out there andfeel pretty comfortable with. You know,
they've got two pretty good backup linebackersthat really are in the playing group and

(07:39):
in the same thing in the secondary. I think we said way back when
we were looking, you know, previewing the season that if something happens to
one of those safeties, to havea guy like Tracy Walker, who started
the past four seasons essentially in reserve, well that's that's that's not a lot
of teams have that. So thatcame into play yesterday. And then if
we're being honest, you know it'sprobably when you're playing a team like Atlanta,

(08:01):
they can't throw the ball. Ifyou're down your two safeties, that's
better than being down a couple ofyour run stuffing defensive times. Right,
So you know things things worked outthat way for the Lions too. All
right, So Jerry Jacob's corner anddid not have a good game against Seat.
One of my favorite guys that talksbe in the locker room. Okay,
Well, you'll love him when youhear this. So he had a

(08:22):
better game against Atlanta, and thefans ripped him a new one after the
loss to the Seahawks, and sohe got rid of his social media,
deleted to social media for a minute. Okay. And so obviously the defense
played really well and they won,and so he had some things to say

(08:43):
about the fans after the game. They ain't watching football, they'd just talking.
Okay, obviously, if they ain'tgive up a test down on an
old pass player or I ain't giveup a big old bomb, they're not
watching football. They just seen apa and old he's a bomb. No,
right, it's football everything on KevinLight. That's I don't look at
I just laugh at him because theyreally not watch a football if you want
to be honest, the real fanstho, like come on, So yeah,

(09:05):
shout out to them. Okay,So Jerry, could I give you
some advice? Less is more?Okay, just saying because you still have
fourteen more games to go, andso you're still if you don't have a
good game or your team loses andthe defense stinks that game, you're gonna

(09:26):
hear it again, and so areyou going to delete your social media again
because now as social media is backup because he had a good game.
My point is you're ripping the fans. You're ripping the fans a cheer for
you, right or is he Yeah? I did not hear those comments directly.
I was not in the locker room, so I don't know all the
time where were you. I wasprobably talking to Dan Campbell or Jared Goff

(09:48):
or one of those those people inthe interview room, So I didn't By
the time I get in there,I did not see you need to get
in there a little quicker. Yeah, I know it's you know, sometimes
duties call and I need to talkto the coach. But look, I
think you know Dan said this lastweek, right, especially when you play
the cornerback position, you have tohave the shortest memory around because you're gonna
get beat. Like it's gonna happen. Jerry got beat one of those plays

(10:11):
early by Kyle Pitts. Wasn't youknow Ritter's pass was off? Otherwise it
was a touchdown. And if theyconnect on that, then maybe the fans
are ripping him again. And look, he had two pass interference penalties.
One was very questionable. On mymind. He probably could have had a
third, or he would have hada third if Aidan Hutchinson didn't get his
fingernail on a ball though. Ohright, yeah, because I was tipped.

(10:33):
So you know, the Lions areThat's how Jerry plays. He's physical,
he's aggressive. The Lions are willingto live with that a little bit.
He didn't have his best game againstSeattle. I think he would be
the first one to tell you that. Oh he did say that last week.
He did. He said he wasone of his worst games. So
I think, you know, thisis all it's all part of it,
like he's I don't know, Iguess, yeah, you never want to

(10:56):
rip on the fans because those arethose are the guys that are there to
support you too, that that groupof people. But you know that's probably
just him venting a little bit.Well, right, But I mean my
point is it's like, don't ripthe fans for your poor play. I
mean there, you know what Imean. It's like you need to leave
that alone because you'll never win thatargument ever. Right, No, you're

(11:18):
right about that. And again, like you said, you know, he
sort of owned his mistakes last weekand so but you know, he I
think part of it was the waythe Lions were playing, and we talked
about this last week where they werecontent to give up some of those passes
in front of them. And soI don't think Jerry had a great game
against the Seahawks, but the numbersprobably looked worse than he played because of

(11:39):
the style that they were playing. And he's going to be aggressive. He's
going to be physical, and apass interference isn't necessarily a bad thing.
You know, I tell people, you know, like coaching right, in
basketball, right, you have fivefiles for a reason, use them.
Well, it's the same thing infootball, Like you know what a penalty
penalties happen. You can't have threepass interferences in game. He can't have

(12:01):
ten enforced penalties like the Lions had, But sometimes those things happen. And
you know, Jerry probably doesn't wantto pick fights with the fans because,
like you said, he's never gonnawin him. But you know, maybe
some of it is he just hada better game, so he's feeling a
little more confident in himself. Well, I don't know why he got so
upset. What was the question.I don't know. I wasn't there.

(12:22):
But my thing is, it's like, you said you had a bad game,
So why you were you said youhad a bad game. The fans
are only agreeing with you. Andnow that they won yesterday and the defense
as a whole played so much better, he felt the need to vent well,
and he deleted his social media atthe time because he didn't want to

(12:43):
read all the nasty comments. Quichis smart. But yeah, now you're
back on social media because you want, I mean, all this stuff is
it's funny too. I will say, I don't think any of us realize,
you know what, not just athletes, but people in the public eye.
You know, some of the thearrows that they take from from the
fans, right the keyboard warriors whothink you can say anything. And not

(13:05):
that that's an excuse to go backat him, but you know, there's
there's probably a personal side to someof this too. So I have no
idea what what people were saying toJerry last week. I knew he deleted
the social media, but you know, maybe if we all I'll keep it,
you know, normal, then hecan he can own up to his
mistakes and and well yeah, hehe owned his mistakes, So what do

(13:28):
you care? My whole thing islike, listen, when I was living
and working in Kansas City, Imean, it's a smaller market, so
I mean I would get ripped leftand right, and I don't read it.
It doesn't, it doesn't, don'tgive it meaning. Of course,
one day i read and somebody calledme a troll. And I'm like,
I'm not short, I'm tall.Why you called me a troll? That's

(13:48):
so rude and it and I've readsaid, why are you giving it meaning?
I'm like, they called me atroll? It's rude. Well that's
all it is is that you knowyou you. I think as you mature,
as you get older, as you'veseen a lot of this, you
sort of realized, Yeah, like, who cares. I've been yelled at
by a lot more important people thanyou know you Joe, you know,
Keyboard Warrior, Who's who's sending youa nasty email? So it doesn't you

(14:11):
know, none of that sort ofI I just let it roll off my
back. I think most players doa good job of that too. I
don't know what Jerry was dealing with, but certainly you want the fans on
your side in a situation like that. Well, right, I mean,
if I listened to what everybody saidabout me, I never leave the house.
But anyway, same old podcast,Ron Demas Day Briquette. Let's go
to the offensive side of the ball. Jared Goff ran in for a touchdown

(14:35):
first time as a Lion, rightyep, okay, yeah, okay.
So but it's the leaping part thatreally I got a real kick out of
because I thought an offensive line wasgoing to come up and shove him up
a little bit because he didn't exactly. You know, he's not a leaper,

(14:56):
you know, uh, he shouldnever do that again. He said.
The throw into the crowd was thething that he He said that was
the second worst throw of the day, after the interception that he threw,
which he said was one of theworst of his career. But no,
I you know, it's what doyou want to keep that ball? Because
he it's so rare for him. Here's the funny thing, right is that?

(15:18):
Okay, Jared Goff's athleticism. Whenyou look at some of the other
guys on the NFL, you're like, oh my god, this you know,
he's he's he's not an athlete.He's so, but he's wanted.
His dad played professional baseball, likeJared played baseball, basketball, football,
I think in high school. Like. He's a phenomenal athlete. So we
can rip on him about his hisslow feet and his jumping ability, but

(15:39):
it's something that we'd all die forit. I'm sure you know, just
the things that he can do ona football field, uh, you know,
or something that we all can canmarvel out a little bit, even
if he can't jump to your liking. Yeah, I don't think he should
have done that. It was.It scared me because you don't want him
to get hurt. I mean, that's one guy you don't want to get
hurt. So I don't think youshould do that ever again. But the

(16:03):
offensive line, now, of coursethere are injuries to the offensive line.
Taylor Decker's out for a second straightgame with that ankle injury, hal excuse
me, knee injury. And thenMatt Nelson didn't he go out for a
spell, and then skipper game.Oh yeah, And we'll find out what's
going to happen this week with GreenBay. I mean Matt Nelson obviously he
got carted off the field. Certainlydoesn't look good. Dan Skipper had a

(16:25):
hamstring so Colby Soarsdale offensive Oh god, guard really that rookie who they drafted
to be a guard, he playedright tackle in college, ended up filling
in And look, short week, you're probably not bringing someone in this week
to play. So if Taylor Deckercan't go, you're probably looking at Penasuel
and Soarsdale as being your starting tacklesand that could be trouble. We don't
know yet about Decker, don't knowhow healthy or not he's going to be.

(16:48):
He hasn't played, hasn't done anythingsince that Chiefs game, so Lions
could really use him back. Hewas in the rehab group doing some things
last week. I think this willbe an injury that goes down until you
know, Wednesday night Thursday, todetermine if he's going to play well.
Also, you know, four penaltieson the offensive that kills drives that cannot
happen in This offensive line has beenso good and obviously injuries are affecting that.

(17:10):
And you saw that and Jared Goffhe was getting mad and Ronda,
I mean, you know, togo back to the Jared thing, right,
We joke about his running and scoringthat touchdown and you know, jumping
into the crowd. But he tooka lot of shots yesterday. He didn't
get sacked at all, but Ithink it was nine quarterback hits that the
line was reeling a little bit, just based on some of the personnel changes.
And you know, sewell, he'sbeen okay, but he hasn't been

(17:33):
as good as he was at rightnow. He had two holding penalties yesterday
and and you know, they thatgroup is really the engine that fuels this
offense. And I think that's onething right now that's holding the Lions back
a little bit. I mean, they've scored They scored twenty points the other
day yesterday Monday Sunday, they scoredtwenty one against Kansas City. This is
an offense that was one of thehighest scoring right on. They scored like

(17:56):
thirty five points a game last year. So they haven't got got on track
yet. And part of it,I think is some of those injuries up
from you're listening to the same oldpodcast I'm round to Moss with iHeart Sports
Network along with daper Quatt from theDetroit Free Press. And that's the thing
that worries me with the offensive line, because that's where Jared Goff gets in
trouble himself. He makes mistakes forthe interception, Yes, exactly, started

(18:18):
to get hit a little bit,and I asked, if you forget that
defeat maybe I thought, you know, you're trying to do something getting He
said, Noah, you know youdon't have to press. You know how
good the defense is playing. Butit was when he was he was taking
out all that pressure. That's whenhe made that bad pass. And actually
he threw another had another pass thateasily could have been in something one of
the tip balls. So I thinkyou're one hundred percent right. When the

(18:38):
Lions are at their best, thatoffensive line is healthy and playing well,
because that gives Jared Goff the confidenceto stay in the pocket and to unload
downfield. You know, am wetalk about Ama Ross Saint Brown all the
time, and he's got the toeturf toe, right said, It's not
a turf toe, just a bruisetoe. The two bones and one hundred

(19:00):
and two receiving yards no touchdowns. But I mean he's still the way he
you know, he's just it's thejugs machine, which I gotta say,
you know, I'm a little Ihave PTSD when it comes to the jugs
machine, because I almost got killedby the jugs machine. I walked in
front of the jugs machine. Andthis is back in the day Mark bo
Richtter goes get out of the way, and it almost hit me in the

(19:23):
face. Like I'm not kidding you. One hundred miles an hour, don't
mind balls in my face, justnot at one hundred miles an hour,
man. I mean I almost gotkilled. So yes, because I walked
in front of it as it's youknow, and of course I wasn't paying
attention. But he impresses me everygame, don't. I mean, it
really is, Ronda. You know, I got a little stock watch right

(19:45):
where I hand out game balls andgoats after every game, just you know,
guys that played well and did somethings. And after a game like
this, there's not a lot ofgoats to go around. And I talked
about the penalties a little bit,but I gave Almara a game ball just
because I think there was so muchto talk about Sam Laporta. And you
look at what that Lions offense isand isn't without Saint Brown. And I

(20:06):
mean there were four receives, fourplayers, not even receivers that caught passages,
they were even targeted on passes byJared Goff. It was Saint Brown,
calif Raymond Laporta, and Gibbs, and so for Saint Brown to deliver
the plays that he did, andhe had big catches on each of their
touchdown drives. You know, hemade that really nice catch on the on
the sideline where he sort of hada diving catch there. I mean,

(20:29):
it's easy to overlook the contributions thathe has because he does it so often
and he's so consistent, and sowhen someone else, Sam Laporta has a
huge day, that the natural instinctis to say, why look at what
this rookie does, He's going tobe special. When really Saint Brown was
the plays that he made, theLions wouldn't have been in scoring positions set
up for those, and you know, Sam Laporta obviously had a big game,

(20:52):
and credit to him. And samewith Jamir Gibbs because you had that
that comparison Jamir Gibbs, Bijean Robinson. Jam Gibbs won that. But early
on it was like he wasn't doingmuch and then he kind of came alive,
so to speak, right, yeah, and you know, I think
what happened is, you know, this is a credit to Jared Golf.

(21:12):
It's a credit to the one thingI think the lines have done well early
this season is you know, theyshow that resilience, right Golf throws that
pick, that defense comes back andgets a four and out stop, and
then the next drive, you know, they start off with a big pass
to Saint Brown and then it's Gibbs, Gibbs, Gibs Gibbs, and they're
running behind the strength of that line, Sewell and Jonah Jackson, and so

(21:33):
maybe where they were searching for somethings to go right, it seemed like
Golf in that offense, really theywere in the moment, Hey, this
is the time that we need togo do something. Put the ball in
Saint Brown's hands. Put the ballin Gibbs hands behind your two best offensive
linement that are on the field. And the lines went ahead and got it,
got another touchdown to clinch that game. And okay, so now it's
a short week. They go toGreen Bay to play the Packers, who

(21:57):
all all of us in eighteen pointsin the fourth quarter to beat the Saints.
I mean, you know, havenot watched that game back yet,
but you're down seventeen nothing going intothe fourth quarter. You know the Saints
had lost or starting quarterback. Butall of a sudden, you know,
George Derek Carr sprain shoulder and goingyeah and look New Orleans had a chance

(22:18):
to win that game with the fieldgoal late Croupy the rookie. Yeah.
But you know, for a Packersteam that was coming off a loss to
the same Atlanta Falcons team that wejust saw, still with a young quarterback
in Jared Love, I think that'sJared Love wowlating all these these people,
Taylor Swift and Trevis Kelsey and JaredGoffin. It's okay, I know it's

(22:41):
it's a Monday. My brain's kindof fried, But no, it really
I think for the Packers psyche andwhere they are and in there, you
know, ideals of competing in thethe NFC North and really in the NFC
this year, that was an importantwin because you don't want to be one
and two going into a short weekwith a good Lions team coming in and

(23:02):
then if you lose that all ofa sudden, you're staring at one and
three and that's a tough hole toget out of Ronda in the NFC,
I mean it's really like Philly andSan Francisco, Detroit, Green Bay,
Seattle, like, yeah, Dallas, that's your team, that's those are
your teams. The Bears are gotWatching them yesterday was just gross. They
are so bad, house on firewith everything. Who's gonna get fired?

(23:25):
When is that coach getting fired?I mean, you know, look,
there were some some rumors last yearthat the coach and the GM weren't on
the same page necessarily, and certainlythe way things have started this year,
you would think that something's going tohave to give. And look, depending
on how bad it gets, whoknows who survives? Right, Yes,
if they have a top pick inthe draft, that's a reset for the

(23:47):
entire franchise where you don't have togo with justin fields. You can get
an offensive minded coach. And youknow, I don't know, I have
no no clue what's going on internallythere, but if anyone has any doubts
about out, you know the generalmanager Ryan Poles's ability to lead the franchise
and pick the right players, andhe came from the Chiefs. Yeah,
you're Kansas City team. And alsothe Vikings are just pathetic too. I

(24:11):
mean, what both those coaches,Well, first of all, the Chargers
coach to call a fourth and one, Hello, and you have the lead,
what are you doing? Yeah? But you know, I think,
okay, so look, let's let'scompare this with with Dan Campbell and the
Lions and the Yeah, the Gamblerwas quiet yesterday. Yeah, so let's
talk about that a little bit, right, because I think that surprised people.

(24:33):
You told me that even on thebroadcasting right, they thought, oh,
you might want to watch for afake punt here and know, well,
look, I think with the Lions, the defense was so dominant and
Atlanta was doing absolutely nothing that youdidn't need to do it. Yeah,
you can punt, and you trustyour defense at Atlanta is not going to
be especially the way that Atlanta's offenseis they don't have you know, they've

(24:57):
got some good skill talent, butthey're passing game is not anything that produces
big plays. So you trust yourdefense is going to be able to If
Atlanta is going to score, they'regonna have to go ten plays to do
it. And the way that Atlantawas playing yesterday and the way your defense
was playing yesterday, they probably thatprobably wasn't going to happen. I think
the opposite in that Chargers Vikings gamewas there was a lot of points being

(25:18):
scored there in Minnesota. That's Imean, Kirk Cousins, Justin Jefferson that
that passing game is pretty explosive. So you know, in Brandon Staley's defense,
I don't know what the math saysabout it, but if you're fourth
and one and you convert that andyou have a chance to basically end the
game right there, you know youdo it. You trust your offen Justin
Herbert is your best player, Youroffense is your best unit. You're trusting

(25:41):
that that team you get it,and all of a sudden the games over
and you don't, and everyone's callhim for his head. But I don't.
I don't know. I mean Ilook at some of these things a
little bit different, So I guessI don't have as big a problem.
A lot of people are results based. I think just the decision itself was
maybe the right decision. Okay,So heading into Green Bay, do you

(26:03):
think the Well, it's obviously greenBay their defense a lot better. I
think their offensive line is probably alittle better than the fact is healthy yeah,
Well, Atlanta's got a good offensiveline. But Green Bay is up
there as well. I mean they'reboth so you know, what do you
what do you think on Thursday?I mean, and let's see what happens

(26:25):
with injuries. I don't think DavidMontgomery is he going to be back?
Yeah, I think there's still alot TBD with the Lions injury. Yeah,
you know, I think someone whotold me last week there's a shot
that Kirby Joseph could be back andthey'll need, you know, some help
in the secondary for this game. This is a game where maybe they do
throw the ball. Having Montgomery backwould help. I think the Packers win
this game. I think this isa toss up. But being in Green

(26:47):
Bay in a short week, withthe Lions injury situation, you know,
picking right now on a Monday afternoon, I'm taking the Packers to win this.
The injury situation is going to playa big role in it, though,
and the way the Lions defense playedlast week, that defense travels.
This is another young quarterback in JordanLove who hasn't who hasn't maybe seen that
sort of pressure yet. So thisis a toss up game. To me,

(27:07):
I'm going with green Bay for rightnow, But wouldn't surprise me at
all if the Lions go to threeand one. Well, I think what
the Lions advantage. It's not goingto be freezing cold, They'll have good
weather, it'll be warm, soyou don't and they won their last year.
Like this is not like a onon a night game, a nationally
televised game. This so this isnot a stage that's too big for the
Lions going into, right you know, maybe this is just like the Lions

(27:30):
wanted to you know, they sortof talked about, you know, going
into Casey and you know, showingthe world who they were and you know,
wanting to get some revenge on Seattle. I mean, the same card
is being played in green Bay,right right, Hey, let's this is
our chance against a good Lions teamto prove that we still are the team
in the NFC North. So youknow that that cuts both ways, all

(27:52):
