Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to Episode twenty two, Sipping tequila, and there's a
lot we have to talk about. The whole Drake lawsuit
is going on, TikTok getting banned, Jenna side Diddy documentary
bit which I didn't see any promotion for that Diddy
documentary by the way. So it's on Peacock right, and
(00:20):
it's called what is it called making of a Bad Boy?
The Making of a Bad Boy, which is whoever came
up with that is clever because if you're a little
old like me, well you said, yeah, you said, did
he have that show making the Band where he created
Dannity Kine and the boy band day something.
Speaker 2 (00:42):
The fact that we can't remember and we don't know
what's happened to the boy band since.
Speaker 3 (00:47):
We haven't anything.
Speaker 1 (00:49):
From those boy bands. We were literally just talking about
the boy band and then we're like whoa, Like, where
are they at? Where are they now? They have the band?
They haven't said anything about all these Diddy allegations.
Speaker 3 (01:01):
You guys gotta fill me in. Who is this boy band?
Speaker 4 (01:04):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:05):
So are you familiar with Danny Kane?
Speaker 1 (01:07):
First?
Speaker 3 (01:07):
Let me little sound effect for everyone.
Speaker 4 (01:10):
I love that poppy healthy soda.
Speaker 3 (01:13):
We talked about my soda problem last week.
Speaker 1 (01:15):
Right, yeah, we did.
Speaker 4 (01:16):
Clearly your new Year's resolution is not not too much,
not too much because it's getting better. This is I
don't count these I did have a real soda though yesterday.
Speaker 1 (01:25):
What that is that like spark my water.
Speaker 3 (01:27):
They're prebiotic soda. Oh that's right, the healthy ones and
it tastes good. Yeah. Right, they're not soda, but they're
good enough. Okay, Shila, But I just want to update everyone.
Speaker 4 (01:39):
I've probably cut my soda intake by half this week
then what it was the week before.
Speaker 3 (01:44):
That's so thank you. Guys.
Speaker 1 (01:46):
Got to start somewhere exactly, and it's just.
Speaker 5 (01:48):
So premiere anyways. Now I want to hear about the
boy band day twenty six. It's day twenty six. I
don't remember, Like, yeah, they didn't have like a huge song.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
They were pretty big because I mean the show was
it was a lot of drama.
Speaker 2 (02:04):
Yeah, and it's like didd he basically had a hand
in like putting these people together. It's basically like he
created them. Yeah, like how X Factor did with one direction.
Speaker 1 (02:13):
Got Yeah, but it was all him, like he was
a mastermind. But he had auditions.
Speaker 3 (02:18):
He picked the.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
Girls the members and then he made them perform, made
them dance, he did all the things, and he was
like a real asshole, gotcha in this show? But he's
he's Diddy. I don't know they what.
Speaker 4 (02:33):
So what I saw so far from the documentary, it's
very focused around like his upbringing and kind of getting
an understanding of who he was before. And so it
starts with I think his old childhood friend who actually
they like shared a house together because their moms like
lived together. Crazy Mike also could be spreading false information,
(02:54):
so takees was a great assault. But from what I
saw is that it starts with this guy and he
seems to live a pretty normal life and he's just
kind of like talking about the old Diddy that he
used to know, but like doesn't really know the new one.
Speaker 1 (03:07):
Like the famous one. Yeah, so he knew him before
he was big, yes, okay.
Speaker 4 (03:10):
And then it starts to talk about it, like goes
into his college days and then that's kind of as
far as I got, But it's very focused on like
who he was, Oh okay, and I don't know, and
it could I.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
End an ADOCU series, like there's gonna be like I
don't know, episodes or is it just one long documentary.
Speaker 4 (03:28):
One long documentary. I'm not sure though I clearly wasn't
paying all the attention. But it is interesting to get
that perspective because you know, I didn't even was he
saying that he was like a good kid or they
I mean, yeah, he didn't speak poorly of him. It
was kind of like it almost seemed like it wasn't
too much as to like, oh, almost feel bad for him,
(03:51):
but like more trying to get people to maybe understand
where he came from, not to justify anything right, but
just so that maybe it builds context the story because
his dad was not around and it kind of talks
about that, and just like the dynamic of him growing up.
Speaker 1 (04:07):
Was he close to his mom? Did he have a
good relationship?
Speaker 4 (04:09):
But yeah, I think that's kind of what I was
getting or that's what they're getting at, I believe.
Speaker 1 (04:14):
So it's interesting to know like how someone is raised
or how they came up because I've got two boys,
so I got to worry about raising like bad guys,
bad boys about the time of my God, I got
to say the right things, I got to make the
right moves so that they're good guys in this world
(04:35):
just good men. They're good men.
Speaker 2 (04:38):
Is already also a good I don't know about that.
Speaker 1 (04:41):
They're perfect. I have videos that I wish I could
post on social media, but the way that people will
not will listen and judge me. We listened to my
side people, you know, like he's playing with like fake
guns and just like you know what little kids do.
But you know, the internet is gonna run with that.
And then he found them.
Speaker 3 (04:59):
It's close.
Speaker 1 (05:01):
Yeah, and he's like he's like it because he sees
do that not me.
Speaker 4 (05:11):
I's but I don't need the Internet judging you know
what I mean?
Speaker 3 (05:19):
Not too much?
Speaker 1 (05:19):
My girl come from no absolutely all right. Yeah, but anyways,
let's talk about the whole Drake situation because that actually
just came out today this morning. So a lot of
people are confused because they thought a lawsuit was filed
against the Drake against UMG, Universal Music Group and Spotify.
(05:44):
I also thought that, yeah, I was a part of that.
It wasn't actually a lawsuit. So he filed a petition.
So he's basically warning them, telling them what's coming. And
what this allows Drake to do is gather information, like
really tap into emails, and payments because he is. He
is accusing UMG and spotify of just inflating Kendrick Lamar's
(06:07):
song not like Us, to make it bigger than you know,
other songs, to really bring Drake's value down because I
guess he's like a partner of UMG or Spotify is
like he's Drake or Kendrick Drake, and so when negotiations
come up, they want to bring down his value so
that they have more of a say, I guess allegedly,
(06:32):
if I'm getting this correct, So this is what that
petition allowed, is for him to gather as much as
information to see if he could file a lawsuit. Now
he withdrew the petition yesterday. We saw that all over
social media, so we thought it was over. Maybe he'd
didn't have enough information. Allegedly, supposedly he got some information,
(06:53):
and with that information, he's still moving forward because he
officially filed that lawsuit against you. Well it doesn't they
haven't announced who it's against, but he has officially filed
a lawsuit. But right now it kind of seems like
MG is like, all right, file lawsuit, Like that's all
the information you got, let's go right. You know what
I mean, that's what the vibe they're giving that they're
not afraid of this lawsuit.
Speaker 4 (07:13):
So I mean, if they have nothing to hide, they
got nothing to hide. Yeah, and also, with all due respect,
if they got nothing to hide. And then Drake does
all this and it's just like, actually turns out that
Kendrick song slade, which it did, and that Drake just
kind of.
Speaker 3 (07:28):
You know, fell off right there for a second.
Speaker 1 (07:30):
That sucks right well, And he's filing for defamation because
you know, the song calls him a pedophile, right, So
I don't know if he's doing this because of the
business that he has with these companies or I saw
somewhere And I don't know how accurate this is, but
apparently if there is like a lawsuit, an ongoing lawsuit
with something, Kendrick Lamar might not be able to perform
(07:52):
that song. And because it's televised during Yeah doing the
super Bowl halftime show. So I don't know how true
that is, but if it is, I mean that clearly
Drake is very calculated with his moves and who wants
to be called a pedophile all over the nation. Everyone's
gonna be like a minor. Yeah, Everyone's gonna sing that song.
(08:15):
So I don't know if that's even a thing, but regardless,
I feel like Kendrick Lamar is petty enough to even
do it and pay whatever feast he has to pay.
Speaker 2 (08:23):
Oh yeah, he definitely could honestly though, So.
Speaker 1 (08:27):
We don't know what's gonna happen. Like, I feel everyone
tuned into Rihanna, right, Rihanna was like the celebrities were
at the super Bowl to not watch the game, but
they were there to see Rihanna as the super Bowl,
I feel, yeah, I feel like a lot of people
are gonna tune in just because of this damn beef, Like,
what's gonna happen? What is he gonna perform? What is
everyone gonna scream at the same time at the stadium.
(08:50):
It's gonna be a minor is gonna be like Mustard,
you know what I mean? So many things that were off.
Speaker 2 (08:54):
He has a lot of good songs on this last album,
a lot. Yeah, going to bring out it's smart. I
do think he's going to bring out like anybody too crazy.
It might be his uh, his concert that he did
on Amazon Prime's.
Speaker 1 (09:11):
I mean, just like everything's out right, we all like, yeah,
with all the gangsters, he brings out all his alloys
that would be sick. But I feel like he has
to bring ol Sissa, but the amount of collaborations that
they've given us and she's yeah, bring out, Like, how
are you going to perform Looser without Sissa? How are
(09:31):
you going to perform all of the Stars without Sis?
How are you going to perform thirty for thirty without Like.
Speaker 3 (09:38):
Uh uh, you're not. You're simply not.
Speaker 1 (09:40):
I feel like that's going to be the one thing
that if Kendrick doesn't do, he's going to disappoint us. Yeah,
and not performing out like us because we want to
hear it.
Speaker 4 (09:47):
We have to hear that. Like he's got to figure
out a way. There's no way because I was thinking,
I was like, Kendrick's so smart. Maybe he'll come out
with the new song, but which would still hit, but
it's not gonna have the same impact as a song
that literally everyone knows all the words to at this point,
you know.
Speaker 2 (10:00):
I think you're right, Like it's not like he doesn't
have money. He could just pay the fee, right.
Speaker 1 (10:03):
Right, I know, Like would it just be a fee?
Like what what could be the consequence of him performing
that song even if it's not allowed to another law.
So yeah, that could be.
Speaker 2 (10:19):
Like, come on, Drake, I know it, that's why you pissed.
Speaker 3 (10:24):
He's so mad.
Speaker 1 (10:26):
Yeah. So I don't know who's gonna win the last suit.
I don't know what kendricksonner do at the halftime show.
I guess we're just gonna have to wait and see.
Speaker 3 (10:32):
It's gonna be here pretty soon.
Speaker 1 (10:33):
Right halfway through twenty twenty five.
Speaker 4 (10:38):
Feels like no, no, literally, I know the first two
what has been only two weeks of twenty twenty five.
Speaker 3 (10:44):
Yeah, what's a lot that's happened? Yeah, like, fag my god.
Speaker 2 (10:53):
Yeah, Now I'm spending so much time on TikTok. Just
spend my time in.
Speaker 4 (10:56):
I'm like, this is it, this is this is the
last of it, the lost of us.
Speaker 1 (11:01):
Today is January fifteenth. Supposedly TikTok will be banned or
suspended January nineteenth, which is on Sunday, this Sunday. No, Like,
is it Saturday at midnight?
Speaker 3 (11:13):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (11:15):
Right?
Speaker 4 (11:16):
Like?
Speaker 1 (11:16):
Is there gonna be a countdown? I don't know, but
that's scary. I just don't. I don't feel like it's
going to happen with the amount of billionaires that are
trying to buy that band.
Speaker 3 (11:26):
Please, mister b please save us.
Speaker 1 (11:28):
What's the hold up? Is it the fact that they're
not willing to sell?
Speaker 2 (11:31):
Yeah, I think that's it. The TikTok owner, he's not
wanting to give that up. And I don't know if
like the price has been right.
Speaker 1 (11:39):
I don't know. Yeah, I saw somewhere that they were
trying to extend the ban for ninety days because you
know a lot of people that's there, that's how they
get paid, that's their incomeg Yeah, yeah, it will affect
the economy. You know, there's some people that are making
thirty forty thousand dollars a month company at least advertising
on there, a lot of ads.
Speaker 2 (11:56):
And I mean it is true too, like if some
of those people have current broadject except they're working on there,
they haven't finished. I mean that affects business even too.
Oh everything lost money artists with their music right, and
I mean us the people information like that is.
Speaker 1 (12:14):
My main source. No literally, man, it's going to be
interesting to see what happens on Sunday, Like is it
going to go is it not? I just don't see
it going.
Speaker 4 (12:27):
Listen next week, next week, there's already gonna be a
lot of changes to the world. I don't need TikTok
being taken away, Like that's where I'm I want to
go to TikTok, right, despite everything that's happening in the
upcoming weeks, like I escape. Yeah, I want to be
able to have my escape, which I love and I
don't want.
Speaker 1 (12:45):
So A lot of people are already moving to Red Note,
which is very similar to TikTok. Right, I'm on it.
You know, I thought about it for us. I thought
about it just to secure my user name. Yeah, but
I was like I don't know about like everything is
is it in Chinese for the most part. Yeah, I
wouldn't even understand anything.
Speaker 3 (13:06):
I don't like.
Speaker 4 (13:07):
I just so and then I'm like, okay, cool, this
is like cool, and then it'll be like a video.
Like I said, they're always like hello, TikTok refugees, that's
what they call us. We're the TikTok refugees. That's what
they call you.
Speaker 1 (13:18):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (13:19):
But they're so welcoming, they're so haddy habits there. I've
seen so many videos and they're like for years, like
our countries have been put against each other but we're
so happy that you're here.
Speaker 1 (13:29):
I'm like, take all my data. I don't care what
you do.
Speaker 3 (13:33):
So literally, they.
Speaker 1 (13:34):
Really do have all your data.
Speaker 2 (13:36):
And I guess by being on the app, you're consenting
to following Chinese law, which if you break the law.
Speaker 1 (13:43):
I'll do it. I don't know the law here neither.
What can you do to break the law in the app?
Beats me.
Speaker 4 (13:49):
I'm like check, check, check, yep, you have it, because
I don't know what it's like all in Mandarin and Chinese,
like I do not know what is like.
Speaker 1 (13:57):
I have no idea the app is strictly in Chinese.
Speaker 4 (13:59):
I mean there's now English captions because I think that
in the past three days, like this app has like
literally been populated by Americans like crazy, and so they
have no choice but to like add English captions. Yeah,
thank you, but no, they're so welcoming and they're so nice.
And I'm like, listen, do you know how many things
(14:21):
like I on my phone that I've been like yes,
except yes, except like my whole life has been yes,
except you.
Speaker 3 (14:27):
Know what I mean, like on phones on whatever.
Speaker 1 (14:30):
Agree like yeah, agree, sure, I don't know, maybe listening
no matter what that's one.
Speaker 4 (14:36):
I don't think that, and I know it goes deeper
than this. I don't think that me personally, I have
data that is really worth anything like no, and like,
if you get in my bank account, okay, you're not
going to get that far, feel mad.
Speaker 1 (14:50):
You're gonna donate, That's what I'm saying. You're gonna be
paying me.
Speaker 3 (14:54):
No, So they were like they're like.
Speaker 1 (14:56):
Oh, oh, oh, this girl, We're gonna give her.
Speaker 4 (14:58):
A little extra So and I know that it's a
bigger issue than just you know, looking at my data personally,
but I'm like, I just like it also just makes
me laugh because the government has put so much time
and energy into banning this right there. This is the
biggest thing in the world right now. And all it
took was gen Z to hear about Chinese TikTok, and
(15:20):
all we did was move everything over to their like
to have that hard work of getting our data off
of TikTok.
Speaker 3 (15:27):
Has now just gone right into the next app.
Speaker 1 (15:29):
That's so craz you know what I mean. Then the
Internet for humanities And I'm like gen Z, because we
don't like one.
Speaker 3 (15:35):
We're unseerious. We're very unseerious.
Speaker 4 (15:36):
But also I think that we're so used to just
growing up in this digital age that it's like everyone
already has our data, like mine, the US has mine,
you know what I mean? Like, Okay, I also am
speaking very uneducated right now, and I don't know the
behind the scenes of it all. But I think also
(15:58):
we're at a point where our generation is just like
we don't even care, Like the world seems like it's
falling apart.
Speaker 3 (16:04):
Why not just get on TikTok? Why not give our
data to someone else who cares? Right?
Speaker 4 (16:10):
Not?
Speaker 2 (16:10):
Because that is that is the sentiment that it's like
similar to what's going on all around, right, You're not wrong.
Speaker 3 (16:17):
Like that's like we're kind of just like who cares
like we.
Speaker 4 (16:21):
I think that's also why we've become so un serious,
because we've grown up in this age where it's.
Speaker 1 (16:24):
Like we just have your information.
Speaker 2 (16:27):
Yeah, the amount of calls, the spam calls that I
have gotten, the election.
Speaker 4 (16:35):
That's our government has our everything, Like why do not
just share, I know and keep TikTok?
Speaker 3 (16:43):
Like I don't know, I know there, like I said,
it goes a lot deeper than that, But I think that.
Speaker 2 (16:47):
Thus far, I think TikTok has been a trustworthy app,
at least from what I can tell, Like the owner
has always been pretty cool. I mean they held a
concert here for us that was really cool.
Speaker 1 (16:58):
I love I know he's no literally, I don't know.
He says good like I don't know, he gives up
a good vibe. I trust the videos I've seen it.
Speaker 4 (17:07):
I don't know anything, but I trust him, and I
trust all the people that I've already seen on red No.
I'm like, yes, Uh, it's so funny though, because we
have already like not ruined the app, but we've already
taken over it. Yes, because I don't know. I know, yes,
because I don't know if you saw. Because there was
this guy that was had this video and he was
(17:30):
in China and he was like welcome, like introducing himself
talking about the app, and someone on TikTok was like,
oh my god, this is the CEO of Red Note
welcoming us.
Speaker 3 (17:40):
It's spread like crazy, and TikTok ran with it.
Speaker 1 (17:44):
And was like, oh my god, this is the new CEO.
Speaker 3 (17:46):
Like so everyone was going to this guy's page and
was like thank you so much, like you're saving us.
Speaker 4 (17:51):
And then a video came out the next day of
someone telling that guy, like everyone thinks that you're the CEO,
and he's like, no, like I'm not the CEO, just
some random like creator. So it's so funny that within
a day we've already managed to colonize on this app
and completely just like bring our unseerious nature to the sound, right,
you know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (18:12):
They don't know whether That's what.
Speaker 2 (18:14):
I'm wondering, Like, if we leave TikTok as Americans, where's
their entertainment? What's what's it going to be using that
funny aspect, I know, American culture. This is the reality
show that they all love to watch, right, So without
the Americans, what is TikTok?
Speaker 3 (18:29):
Girl? That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (18:30):
I was trying to read a little bit about like
what the threat is you know of TikTok, and it's
just it, you know, it threatens our national security. A
lot of information from here could be giving to the
government in China and they could really plan out and
know a lot about us to like attack if they
wanted to, you know what I mean, they wouldn't know.
Speaker 3 (18:50):
Too much, they would, Yeah, I mean, I mean that's
very real. Yeah, that's like.
Speaker 1 (18:58):
Put it that way.
Speaker 4 (18:59):
Yeah, I mean, yeah, they know they know what I'm eating,
they know where I'm at, they know what I like,
they know you know what I mean, Like I mean, yeah.
Speaker 1 (19:06):
I guess that could help I guess or whatever. And
at the end of the days for our safety, but
they have to like come to an agreement because a
lot of people. That's where a lot of people's income
is coming through now. So I just hope that what's
the company by Dance or something like that that owns
the app is willing to sell. But if they sell it,
(19:27):
there's a there's a chance that all the content is controlled,
which is what a lot of TikTokers don't want right
right because there's not a lot of censorship right on TikTok.
Speaker 3 (19:37):
But the algorithm really knows me, That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (19:40):
Rick by Brick, We've built that algorithm like it knows it.
Speaker 4 (19:44):
My thoughts in my head, like somehow are on my
screen before I even say I'm out loud, you know
what I mean. I'm like, that's crazy, though, I really
think about it, like that is working extra hard and
I love him.
Speaker 1 (19:54):
I appreciate it more.
Speaker 4 (19:55):
Than That's what I'm saying, I'm like, he's working extra hard. Yeah, exactly,
but no, it's it's wild, it's crazy. I think also
the other argument, and I said this earlier, but that
our generation is talking about is like, this is the
first time in a really long time that we've seen
both political parties like come together on something. And I
think it's frustrating for us because we've been through a
(20:16):
lot as a country that we wanted them to come
together and work together, and then the one thing that
they do decide to work together on very quickly is TikTok.
And like I said, I understand the threat of it,
but I think that that's another reason why everyone's just like, well.
Speaker 1 (20:32):
Out of all things, this is what you guys chose exactly.
Speaker 4 (20:34):
Like there's been things that, you know, political issues that
we should have come together and found a resolution for whatever,
But no, it's TikTok.
Speaker 1 (20:45):
Come on, do we have a lot of agen zers?
What do we have a lot of gen zers part
of that Congress or whatever group that's trying to ban it.
Speaker 4 (20:55):
No, they're all old, they don't have a TikTok, they
don't know how to go to their for you page.
Speaker 3 (21:00):
Maybe they should try it out.
Speaker 1 (21:01):
Try out.
Speaker 4 (21:02):
You'll probably find some videos that you really like and
that you wouldn't want to get rid of. Right, there's
a lot of helpful information that's hips and tricks and everything.
Speaker 3 (21:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (21:11):
Sorry, I have the sniffles sniffles snuffle going around, man,
I know it's so annoying. I apologize. I have a
rash in my nose hurts really bad.
Speaker 5 (21:21):
Oh my god, I do.
Speaker 1 (21:22):
That's the worst in the it's all dry. I do
need some walk four that's what I'd be putting in
my babies. But whole when when he has a rash?
Multi use words anyways, So that's TikTok. You feel better
(21:43):
about just getting it off.
Speaker 4 (21:44):
I do.
Speaker 1 (21:45):
It feels good to talk about it.
Speaker 3 (21:46):
This is like a support circle. So thank you guys.
Speaker 1 (21:49):
But I'm not.
Speaker 3 (21:50):
I think I'm like naive, like I'm like, it's not
gonna happen. It can't happen.
Speaker 1 (21:53):
I just feel that way too, because of the amount
of money we have, and it'd be crazy if the
owner is like turning down right that amount of money.
Speaker 3 (22:01):
First, they took away Vine. I still miss Vine.
Speaker 5 (22:04):
Did it?
Speaker 1 (22:04):
Did they take it away or.
Speaker 3 (22:06):
Didn't take it away?
Speaker 4 (22:07):
No, they just that dne but it's still was gone right,
and I was gonna make this TikTok. But I was like, Okay,
if the government has all our data, then send me
my old vines because I want to see them. You
have all my data, then prove it. Yeah, you know,
like I don't know, prove it, prove it some of
my vines. Like let's talk, but no, I just know
(22:28):
I'm in denial. Denial is the river in Egypt. Your
husband is the TikTok's out I speaking, I said, now
is the river because of she's a new song.
Speaker 3 (22:38):
Oh yeah, but there was a TikTok.
Speaker 1 (22:42):
She is the ship right now. She's popping. Yeah, she
is popping. Part of TD. Baby, she is part of Yeah.
I was saying that she's the best out. But he
gave her mad props and says I did too.
Speaker 4 (22:52):
She was like, she is the ship right now, just
like your vibe, yea different, it's fresh. It's like, oh,
I like that, and there's.
Speaker 1 (22:59):
A chance she comes out too. She is the one
rumor to open up for the Grand National Stadium Tour
with kend because they're all part of TD top Dog
and a team.
Speaker 3 (23:08):
That's where I want to be with top Dog.
Speaker 1 (23:09):
Top Entertainment the one everybody.
Speaker 3 (23:16):
You know what, dude, I just thought about something.
Speaker 1 (23:19):
Top Dog.
Speaker 4 (23:20):
Top Dog Entertainment needs to get with top Dog Law.
They'll take over, They'll be anyways, you.
Speaker 2 (23:26):
Know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (23:27):
I can't stand top Dog. Yeah, everybody, so I can't.
Speaker 4 (23:32):
I know.
Speaker 3 (23:33):
But tell me if the two top dogs combined, how
powerful they would be?
Speaker 1 (23:40):
Well, if he wants to collaborate with.
Speaker 4 (23:44):
All Dude at everything, Arizona Lawyer, at all of them.
Speaker 1 (23:53):
They can work together to fight Drake true.
Speaker 5 (23:56):
All the help.
Speaker 1 (23:57):
All this because of a rap beef, I know, yeah,
but I mean that's his whiteside right there, for sure.
Speaker 2 (24:04):
Let's be so ver all though, if someone calls you
a pedophile, like you'd be mad about it. But also like,
no one's gonna call you a pedophile.
Speaker 1 (24:10):
So but like if somebody's telling you a pedophile, wouldn't
you re evaluate the things you have done or the
things you have said?
Speaker 2 (24:16):
Yeah, somebody of them think that you're a pedophile.
Speaker 1 (24:18):
Yeah, that's the thing. So there's no defending Drake in
this one.
Speaker 4 (24:23):
I know.
Speaker 3 (24:24):
So I can like a little bitch mm hmm. Yeah,
that's coming from a Drake fan.
Speaker 1 (24:28):
Yeah, I'm a big Drake fan too. Yeah, I like
Drake's music me too.
Speaker 3 (24:32):
Sad, but we're just sad today.
Speaker 1 (24:34):
But like I told Jenn, I was like, I feel
like Drake is more connected, but I feel like Kendrick's
a little smarter.
Speaker 2 (24:39):
So yeah, yeah, we'll see how it all plays out,
because I think with it being the Universal Music Group,
that'll be an interesting play too, you know, because I
don't know that Kendrick will have any like really playing
it or if he's going to be brought to the
witness stand or what, because it's.
Speaker 1 (24:56):
Like are you I don't know, but they like they're
both under or UMG. Yeah, so if that if the
lawsuit has to do with that song, UMG has the
rights to that song. Yeah, you know what I mean.
So that's where he won't be able to perform, if
that's even a thing.
Speaker 2 (25:13):
Like I said, you know, it's just like any other
song that one of their artists puts out. Sure, they're
gonna put it out everywhere and yeah, boosted in some
sense of the world.
Speaker 1 (25:22):
I'm pretty sure they do that with all their top artists.
Speaker 4 (25:24):
Yeah, Taylor Swift stuff, Like when Taylor Swift dropped her
new album. They literally like change the what is it
like scrubber, you know, like when you can go through
the song. It was like a Taylor Swift thing. So
I'm like, they do it, they do anything.
Speaker 1 (25:40):
Yeah, yeah, And it's not like yeah and they could
fight by fight bite. They could fight back and say
they do that for Drake as well.
Speaker 2 (25:49):
So right, well, and the thing is she's just mad
because it's his song and what they're saying about him.
Speaker 1 (25:55):
But at the end of the day, and this could
open other lawsuits we were watching right now back to
back against Meek Mail.
Speaker 3 (26:01):
You're telling me that they didn't push Hotline Bling and
it wasn't this song.
Speaker 4 (26:04):
But no, I know, but I'm just I'm just saying,
like you're telling me that that song just became so
popular on its own, like.
Speaker 1 (26:11):
They were pushing it before they were pushing that, you
know what I mean, Like.
Speaker 4 (26:17):
All that.
Speaker 1 (26:21):
Is allegedly not this track, but it could be.
Speaker 3 (26:24):
We don't know.
Speaker 1 (26:25):
You never know what gets a girl.
Speaker 3 (26:26):
That's That's what I'm saying. Because when that hauling blings rings.
Speaker 1 (26:30):
Yeah, rings, Yeah, who are you talking about?
Speaker 3 (26:33):
That's what I'm saying. Did they push me used to
calling on mysell phone?
Speaker 1 (26:37):
Who who What are you talking about?
Speaker 3 (26:39):
Were talking about?
Speaker 1 (26:39):
That's up? Who?
Speaker 4 (26:42):
So I'm saying, let's talk about weird. Yeah, so it's
gonna be wild guys. Anyway, what'y five? It's like child,
we're starting with a bang and not a good bang.
Speaker 1 (26:54):
No, there's a lot of pretty messed up things happening,
I know with you know, the alley fires. There's a
crazy winter storm in the East coast, and then the
whole TikTok situation politics, and they're not even getting into that. No,
and the h p MV. Yeah, oh my gosh, I
(27:17):
think of the influenza or something like that is like her. No,
we don't just kidding. It's an influence that it's just
like a respiratory virus that causes upper respiratory infections such
as the common cold. But it's coming in hot, no hot.
A lot of people die and real sick off of
(27:39):
this sounds crazy.
Speaker 3 (27:41):
There's too many letters. The more letters, the scarier, not
me all the way.
Speaker 1 (27:50):
Ye dude, h m p V.
Speaker 3 (27:54):
Oh god, that's so funny those letters away.
Speaker 4 (28:00):
Right, Oh yeah, No, let's just and we I ate
the grapes under the table. I did what I was
supposed to do. I manifested that this was gonna be
the year's or what though, it's good, just good everything.
Speaker 1 (28:14):
To throw that in there, because yeah, she said it's
gonna be the year. I guess make it whatever you want.
Speaker 4 (28:19):
You know. I did say just good, like you know,
just good, healthy, happy vibes all twenty twenty five. Yeah,
I guess I should have said everyone, but I meant
it as for you an overall vibe of the whole
world and universe, you know.
Speaker 3 (28:31):
But it's coming out strong. Maybe it'll turn around.
Speaker 4 (28:35):
I know it has to.
Speaker 1 (28:37):
We'll say maybe this is a virus that I get
it came from China.
Speaker 3 (28:42):
No, I did see that.
Speaker 4 (28:43):
I was gonna say that, but then I didn't want
to spread misinformation, so I waited.
Speaker 3 (28:46):
But that, Yeah, I did see that.
Speaker 4 (28:49):
Listen, I think I've seen this film before. Not not
I know, we not, we're not you know what I
because we're gonna keep TikTok. And then it's everything with
China's gonna be fine, and everything's gonna be good. Yeah,
the fires are gonna stop and the weather's gonna be good.
Speaker 3 (29:07):
I don't.
Speaker 1 (29:10):
I already downloaded another one that I thought was gonna
be like TikTok, which is lemonade, lemonade, lemon eight, which
I'm pretty sure they're aiming for lemonade Lemonade.
Speaker 2 (29:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (29:21):
I don't know if I has something to do with
this one.
Speaker 3 (29:23):
Yeah, thank you Beyonce, Thank you Beyonce for lemonade.
Speaker 1 (29:28):
Yeah, I already got a thousand followers. Oh what can
we move on to this one?
Speaker 3 (29:33):
You're like, I'm starting my influencer career. Well, I'm on
red Note, so I'm learning Mandarin and Chinese.
Speaker 4 (29:38):
So y'all, y'all can be on lemonade, but I'm gonna
be I literally caught myself last night like reciting the
words because they they teach you, They're like, hello, TikTok refugees,
let's learn basic Chinese. And then they like, damn, they're
really trying to take over. Yeah, And so then I
was like, I'm I'm literally to my phone. I'm like like,
(30:00):
I don't want to mock it because I don't know
what I'm saying and it will probably just come off
offensive if I try. Yeah, but the Chinese no, literally,
and I'm like literally responding back to them like practicing
Chinese sounding absolutely ridiculous, but I'm like, might as well
learn now, Might as well learn now.
Speaker 3 (30:16):
There's no time like a wild I know, all right,
what a time?
Speaker 1 (30:20):
I guess that's it. Thirty minutes.
Speaker 3 (30:22):
Well, hopefully next week it'll be a less stressful time.
Speaker 4 (30:25):
I know.
Speaker 1 (30:25):
Yeah, maybe we'll say, Well, we'll know by.
Speaker 3 (30:28):
By next week when we record one, we will have
a new president. Yes.
Speaker 4 (30:32):
Two. Hopefully the fires are done. The fires are done,
the weather has chilled, and TikTok is here to stay.
Speaker 1 (30:41):
Yeah. I guess we'll know next week. They see if
we make it to next week? All right, God, okay,
bye bye
