WNCI. Hey, its soul. Here was Charlotte Cardon in the WNCI studio.
How are your girlfriend? I'm good, Thanks for having me. Congratulations
on all of the success you've hadthis year. We're gonna get back into
that in a second. You toucheddown in Cleveland last night. You're kind
of going all around the state, aren't you. Yeah. It's our first
radio promo tour in the States,so it's been it's been really fun.

(00:22):
This is day three and it's goingon. Oh that's why you look so
fresh and lively. Okay, Well, we're getting excited to have you in
here. You had a huge monthin March. You did a really big
sweep at the twenty twenty four JunoAwards. Now, for anyone listening,
that is like the Grammys, butin Canada. In congratulations you want Album

(00:44):
of the Year and Pop Album ofthe Year. Thank you. Yeah,
that was really really fun. What'sthat like? It was crazy because so
we were at the Juno's for thefirst time with my first album. It
was called Phoenix, and I alsowon Album of the Year for that one.
So it was the fact that thealbum ninety nine Nights, which is
my second album, also got Albumof the Year at the two nos was

(01:04):
just a huge honor. Like Imean, I definitely had dreamt of this
moment, yeah, man, butit was just it was just nice because
I made so this album ninety nineNights. I made it with my friends,
and it was nice to just beable to say that, to thank
my friends in front of Canada andto just be like, I made this
with the people I love, andit was a special moment. Absolutely.

(01:26):
Now you said you wrote this albumwith your friends, some of them legends
in the music industry as well. What are some advantages of like co writing
and what are some great things thatyou love about it. Co writing was
like a big revelation for me whenI used to write everything alone and and
so my first two EP's I wrote, I did everything by myself. It

(01:47):
was a huge moment for me whenI discovered co writing and collaborating on songwriting,
because it just feels like you neverrun out of inspiration when you're with
people and you get to share creativeideas with people you love, and so
for me, it was just likea one eighty something that I thought was
like necessary and on ninety nine Nights, do you have a specific song that

(02:08):
is like your baby, So Ihave two, So I have confetti,
which congratulations. That entered the Billboardchart last month. That's an amazing song.
Like you said, a little bitmore fun and a little bit more
carefree. What's the story behind thatone? So it's a song. It's
kind of of an ode to introverts. We wanted to write a party track
for the people who don't necessarily lovebeing at the party, but still love

(02:30):
the party music. Right. Ifeel seen. Thank you. What's the
best place for your fans to keepup with you on socials? Definitely on
Instagram and I'm posting more and moreon TikTok. And you are heading on
tour, just not in the state, not yet. Go hopefully come back
in September and October of this year. Okay, that'd be great. You're

(02:53):
always welcome here in Columbus. Isthere anything that you'd like to directly say
to your fans right now? Thankyou? Yeah, I'm I feel so
grateful and blessed to be able todo something I love so much for a
living, and that's all thanks tomy fans. I'm so excited for you
guys to check out Charlotte Cardin Welcometo your first radio tour. Thank you

(03:13):
