hasn't had a whole lot of theselately wherever, but I've decided I really
want to make it a point tostart doing this more often. Part of
that is because this is my opportunityto share when I don't do a ton
of sharing online on my social media, which I am on. You're gonna

I like to talk and little bitsat a time wonderful, so that I

about this last night because I wasat the Fallout Boy concert last night.
I went by myself because my wifecouldn't make it. We couldn't get a
sitter on time. And not unusualfor me. I go to concerts by
myself all the time, highly recommendedconcerts by myself, movies by myself,
not a problem. But I'm thereby myself at the at the fall up
Way concert and normally, what Iwould do if I'm at a concert is

I would kind of depend on Kendra, my wife, to take pictures or
videos and post them or put themunder story and tag me, and that
way, I can just share itmyself and lazy that way, but I
couldn't know it's by myself, andit is truly part of my gig.
Crimea River and then I gotta likepostuff on Instagram every once in a while,
but I gotta admit it is it'spainful. It's painful for me to

pull out my phone most of thetime. I went to a concert not
by myself, with some friends inArizona a couple of weeks ago. We
had a great time in Arizona.We hung by the pool, watched the
Nuggets game at a bar, hikedcampbellback, went to a show. Didn't
post a goddamn thing while I wasout there. Never even entered my head.

A couple of weeks ago, upin Buna Vista for a few days,
hiked Harvard Lakes, went to PrincetonHot Springs. Cruise through some of
the most beautiful parts of Colorado,especially when you're coming back towards Denver,
like that West to east in thehigh country up there in your fair play.
Barely posted a thing I just gotback last week. We're up in

Summit County all last week went kayakingthe parade in Frisco, hung out with
some friends up in Breckenridge. Idon't know if I posted a thing about
that either, anyway, trying toget a little bit better at that.
As a matter of fact, Igot a cool camera. I got this
Insta three sixty camera while back,and I haven't used it at all.
I barely used it at all.I need to break that out more.
Anyway. Just curious, how curioushow you feel about social media. I

know a lot of people are awaytoo into it, and there's other people
like me who probably should be moreinto it, only because it's part of
the gig. And also also,here's something I do miss out on is
of all places, Facebook, whichis my least favorite media to communicate,
it is the one that will popup my memories. Right so it's been

around long enough that I'll get thesememories of my daughters when they were younger,
obviously still really young right now that'ssix and almost nine, or my
dog from when eleven years ago,when he was a puppy. I love
that, But I think it's justsomething about the here and now, Like
I always feel like, all right, how's this gonna look online? Dumb

things? We never never thought aboutthat early days of social media for posting
pictures on Facebook or MySpace before that, it was so random and mishmash,
and probably because we didn't have ourcameras like on our phones. We really
had to take our camera and plugit in upload some pictures. As a

matter of fact, one of themore recent pictures I put up on Instagram
was of our flip camera from backin two thousand and seven, thousand and
eight. Remember the flip camera,Like that was a revolutionizing how camera is
going to work because it was acamera and that's very small and you can
fit in your pocket and did allvideos and the like almost no storage.
But now obviously our phones do itall the time, and they do so

very well, super high quality,and then when you get into the actual
uploading of the photos you can manipulatethem as every how everyone And I think
it's the gen X in me thatlooks at a lot of these pictures.
It just seems so curated because Igrew up on pictures where no one's quite
looking at the camera. My birthdaypictures there were very few. We're actually

like posing for anything. Most,if not all, my pictures were incredibly
casual, just completely candid. Butnow anymore, if I take a picture
of my daughters, the first thingthey want to do is look at it,
judge it. And I think allof that, all of that they
just said, and the fact thatif I'm at a concert and I'm thinking
about taking a video or a picture, I am out of the moment,

like I remove myself from the moment, placed myself into a new moment where
I'm focused on I'm getting a goodpicture or a good video, and it
takes away from the experience. Itchanges the experience for me. So where
am I going with this? Idon't know other than I'm trying to sit
down and make this a regular thing. And most of that's from a book

I started listening to over the weekendcalled The War of Art, and one
of the quotes on there was fromSomerset Mom, famous writer who was asked,
do you write when you get inspirationor do you write on a schedule?
Twitch response was, I, ofcourse, I only write when I'm
inspired, but that just happens everyday starting at nine am. And the

point of that is even art sometimesneed a schedule. I mean, this
is kind of my art. Thisis my schedule. I'm going to try
to knock one of these out everyday. And even though today it's just
a ramble about social media and whydon't do it all that much, this
