Speaker 7 (03:25):
Kiss when it is seven point nine Strawberry List in
the afternoon a new trend. Five days you should schedule
every month for yourself physically. Put it in a calendar
so that you have your reminder and you do not
forget to do it like.

Speaker 4 (03:38):
A me day.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
Right along those lines, Okay, sorry, five days each month.

Speaker 4 (03:43):
But yes, for ourselves.

Speaker 7 (03:45):
Five days of schedule for yourself that are super beneficial.

Speaker 5 (03:47):
One a reset day.

Speaker 4 (03:49):
Reset day.

Speaker 5 (03:51):
Two a no screen day, ooh that's good.

Speaker 7 (03:55):
Three an explorer day okay, get outside, touch some grass,
a reflection day, and number five a wellness day. You
don't have to do these consecutively five days in a row,
but you know, just kind of spread them out throughout
the month, put it in your calendar.

Speaker 5 (04:09):
This day, I'm going to do this. This day, I'm
going to do this.

Speaker 7 (04:12):
Just a reminder to slow it down, give your body
a rest, and it's therapist approved.

Speaker 3 (04:18):
Okay, So reset day, no screen day, explorer day, reflection day,
wellness day. Yeah, hands down, the no screen day would
be the toughest for me. I'll take a day to reset, explore, reflect,
do wellness.

Speaker 4 (04:33):
No no screen for twenty four hours.

Speaker 5 (04:36):
That's are we talking like TV or phone?

Speaker 4 (04:38):
Anything?

Speaker 6 (04:40):
Because TV I could do.

Speaker 7 (04:41):
No, I could do TV because I just got into
reading and there's a couple books I haven't read yet,
so like absolutely, I can lay in bed, read and snack.
It's just such a habit to pick up my phone
and even just to check the time. No phone, no TV,
no laptop, no screen day. Maybe maybe the no screen
day we do like from this time to this time,
no screens, like from.

Speaker 4 (05:01):
Amen eight to six am, like when I'm sleeping.

Speaker 6 (05:04):
No, like do like an eight am to.

Speaker 7 (05:07):
Like eight pm or something that sounds double Yeah, Well,

Speaker 8 (06:07):
He go next question about his nom de plume. And
one day it'll all make sense.

Speaker 4 (06:12):
One day it'll all make sense in the name of
the book.

Speaker 8 (06:14):
The everyday person, the everyman, the blue collar worker.

Speaker 5 (06:19):
I don't know who is common.

Speaker 8 (06:20):

Someone flagged down a nearby patrol car.

Speaker 6 (08:07):
Cups were used.

Speaker 5 (08:08):
It was a whole thing. Wouldn't it just be his luck.

Speaker 7 (08:12):
That the man he was trying to steal tires from
was an off duty cop?

Speaker 3 (08:17):
Quick?

Speaker 5 (08:18):
What are the chances if I was that guy? I
would have been so mad, like of course, of course
you were an officer, like this would happened to me.

Speaker 3 (08:28):
I was also trying to figure out as you were saying,
this was going down, like a four in the morning.
I was trying to figure out, like, how was there
an officer like patrolling in the area, because you say, like, oh,
and then well.

Speaker 5 (08:37):
It was his car, so I assume it was in
front of his house.

Speaker 4 (08:40):
Yeah, but then the cops got there rather quickly.

Speaker 5 (08:43):
Yeah, and then there's just another cop driving around randomly.
But like, again, just his luck.

Speaker 7 (08:50):
He probably could have gone away, but there just happened
to be another cop down the street straight to jail.

Speaker 4 (08:56):

Jojo see Why and Chris Hughes first met on Celebrity
Big Brother UK, and rumors of a romance started after
Jojo broke up with her partner kath Ebbs on the
night of the finale just a couple of days ago.
Chris posted a snapchat of them in bed together.

Speaker 5 (10:15):
Did you see that?

Speaker 4 (10:16):
Yeah, she was like.

Speaker 5 (10:17):
Sleeping on his chest.

Speaker 7 (10:20):
And now Jojo Siwa has set herself. Yeah, it's not
platonic anymore. I am head over heels for him and
he's the same way. I'm the happiest I've ever been
in my life. I've never smiled so much. Oh the
honeymoon stage.

Speaker 3 (10:32):
Yeah, and don't they always tell you, Oh, it's always
the one that your partner says, don't worry, Oh, don't.

Speaker 4 (10:37):
Worry about him. Yeah, yeah, worry about her.

Speaker 5 (10:39):
I bet you they got in a lot of fights
over that.

Speaker 6 (10:41):
Man.

Speaker 4 (10:41):
We were just friends.

Speaker 3 (10:42):
And now JoJo's hard launching from bed like happiest hard.

Speaker 5 (10:47):
Hard launching from bed, by the way, is crazy.

Speaker 4 (10:50):
That is crazy.

Speaker 5 (10:51):
That is craat. You're supposed to.

Speaker 7 (10:53):
Hard launch like on a movie day out at dinner, right,
hard launching in bed?

Speaker 5 (11:00):
Yeah, did they even have any clothes on?

Speaker 3 (11:03):
Go back and look at Jojo swats instagramad Lendsysberry. All Right,
movie lovers locally, this summer, we've got a packed lineup
of outdoor movie screenings across the region. So from a
grassy parks to riverside breweries, even poolside floats, there's gonna
be something for everyone. Tomorrow night, the movie Inside Out

(11:23):
two is gonna be showing it Drakes the Barn, and
Friday night, The Mighty Ducks is showing at Village Green Park.
As more come out of these, like you know, summer
movies in the Park, Summer movies under the stars, we'll
let you know about it.

Speaker 4 (11:36):
But you know what would be two on deck right now.

Speaker 7 (11:39):
If someone did like a movie marathon like this, like
in the Parks, but it was nothing but Disney Channel originals.

Speaker 3 (11:46):
Yeahbody so fun, Get on, I'll go. If you said
to me, yes, me, well, technically you just need like
a bed sheet and a laptop and a projector like tech.

Speaker 5 (11:58):
You don't have any of those things.

Speaker 4 (12:00):
We'll work on that though.

Speaker 6 (12:01):
The full show every afternoon whenever you want.

Speaker 1 (12:05):
It's Strawberry and Lizette on Sacramento's New Kiss. One oh
seven point.

Speaker 7 (12:09):
Universities are starting to hold adulting one oh one classes
because kids are growing up less and less independent, and
they're getting sent off to college and don't know how
to do things like their laundry, how to cook themselves
a meal, how to like properly clean where they're living.

Speaker 5 (12:31):
Space, like simple things like this that you should know
when you move out of your house.

Speaker 7 (12:36):
They're going into the real world completely like just blindsided
by how to be an adult.

Speaker 3 (12:41):
Let me throw my niece under the bus real quick.
She's she's graduating high school. She sent my mom like
some sort of like thank you note for birthday gift.
He took five weeks for the letter to get from
Roseville to the Bay Area because my niece who's eighteen, oh,
didn't address it right, Like, she had no idea how
to write, yeah the letter and she just door dashes

(13:03):
and uberats all the time.

Speaker 4 (13:04):
She has no idea how to cook her self either.

Speaker 7 (13:06):
So one of the colleges is Michigan State University. They're
teaching kids practical life skills, financial literacy, credit, banking, budgeting,
how to do things like I don't know, grocery shop,
pay your bills.

Speaker 4 (13:22):
It's wild.

Speaker 7 (13:23):
Yeah that these are now classes on college campuses and
universities because they're not learning yet at home kids these days.

Speaker 4 (13:32):
That's nuts.

Speaker 3 (13:33):
I mean, university is high level education. There should be
some high school courses, if not some summer school courses.

Speaker 5 (13:40):
Some high school courses.

Speaker 7 (13:41):
How do you I never learned about taxes or like
how credit cards work, but I know that the mitochondria
is the powerhouse of the cell.

Speaker 4 (13:49):
Why and you know how to address a letter?

Speaker 6 (13:53):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (13:53):
Do you know?

Speaker 5 (13:54):
I think so?

Speaker 3 (13:55):
Yeah? You do.

Speaker 4 (13:56):
You know how to do laundry, you know how to cook.

Speaker 5 (13:59):
And I know how to write a check.

Speaker 3 (14:00):
Boom.

Speaker 1 (14:02):
I want to join the conversation.

Speaker 2 (14:03):
Send strawberry and Lazette a talkback message while you stream
the New Kiss one o seven point nine on the
always free iHeartRadio.

Speaker 4 (14:10):
App top of your daily dose of good news. We
call this segment What's Good.

Speaker 3 (14:16):
It's Strawberry and Lazette on Sacramento's New Kiss one oh
seven point nine. So, as the host of the A's
games here in Sack, I get to do a lot
of cool stuff. I get to be involved in a
lot of really cool things. So yesterday it was the
annual lou Gerrigg's game. Every June, every baseball team pays
tribute to lou Garrigg, who you know, had als. They

(14:37):
called the disease the lou Garegg disease. Okay, And so
with the A's did they They brought a lot of
awareness to it. They had an A's fan out there
named Randall Davis. I got to meet Randall Davis. Unfortunately
he's fighting als. He's in a wheelchair. He's at the
point where he lost the ability to speak. Oh and
to kick off every game, you know, we have a
playball kid. So I get some kids from the stands

(14:59):
and I get them on the all right, And so
because it was lou Gary was the Als game yesterday.
We had Randal Davis in his wheelchair on the JumboTron
and he had previously worked with this place called eleven
eleven Labs. What they were able to do was provide

(15:20):
a recording of Randall's voice. They must have used some AI,
but this was Randall's voice before he lost the ability
to speak.

Speaker 4 (15:28):
It was his voice saying let's play ball.

Speaker 5 (15:31):
That was really cool.

Speaker 3 (15:33):
Yes, And so in case you didn't see the Athletics Instagram,
they posted the video here. But this is Randal and
I'm introducing Randal Davis to the audience. He's fighting Als.
We wish him the best. He can't speak, but the
labs provided a recording of.

Speaker 4 (15:46):
His voice saying let's play ball. So that's what Randall
Davis used to sound, like, let's play ball.

Speaker 7 (15:56):
It's unfortunate. AI is like it's used so terribly these
days and it can be really really scary.

Speaker 5 (16:05):
But when you hear.

Speaker 7 (16:08):
Of things like this that are possible because of AI
and the technology we have, it's like wow, like more
of this.

Speaker 4 (16:14):
Please exactly. It was an honor to be there with
Randall Davis.

Speaker 3 (16:19):
I'll post the video from the A's into our Instagram
story at one oh seven nine Kiss, but That's What's good?

Speaker 1 (16:26):
Streaming live Strawberry and Lazette every afternoon from three till seven.

Speaker 2 (16:30):
On Sacramento's new Kiss one oh seven point nine and
Kiss one o seven point nine dot com.

Speaker 3 (16:35):
Everybody time for another random a caller quiz. We have
Mike from el Grove on the line. Are you ready
to take on Lazette? Mike, I'm ready, all right?

Speaker 4 (16:43):
First correct answer wins.

Speaker 3 (16:45):
There's a new study that looked at millions of Google
reviews to rank grocery stores. Who came out on top
with the highest customer satisfaction rating? Mike, who's your guest
highest rated customer satisfaction grocery store?

Speaker 4 (17:00):
Whole Foods? Not Whole Foodszette? Who's on top? Sorry?

Speaker 2 (17:04):
What was the question?

Speaker 4 (17:05):
The highest rated grocery store?

Speaker 5 (17:06):
Highest rated grocery store Winco.

Speaker 3 (17:09):
Not Winko, Mike, back to you. Winko is on this list, though,
the giants not on.

Speaker 4 (17:15):
This Listlet's that back to you?

Speaker 5 (17:17):
Okay? You's that Whole food Trader Joe's.

Speaker 3 (17:19):
Trader Joe's on top highest customer satisfaction?

Speaker 7 (17:24):
Really, my publics, I've only been in Trader Joe's like
three times ever in my life.

Speaker 3 (17:29):
I like Trader Joe's, Walmart, and Kroger low on the list,
some of the lowest based on service.

Speaker 5 (17:36):
I used to shop at Kroger. Kroger was my store
when I lived in Nashville. Uh huh, Kroger was my store.
It was so great there.

Speaker 4 (17:43):
I loved it. I knew it was Trader Joe's. They
have the best, Tomali's. I should have trusted my Trader Joe's.
Snacks and desserts. Yes, Trader Joe's comes.

Speaker 5 (17:54):
Through Mom is not a snacker dessert.

Speaker 4 (17:56):

Are They like frozen one of the frozen meals, the
refrigerated Yeah, I do hear that.

Speaker 3 (18:02):
You know.

Speaker 5 (18:02):
When it comes to some good snacks, Trader jos is
the place to find.

Speaker 6 (18:06):
Its strawberry and lazette.
