Here are three things you should know today. It is
Draft Day. Today starts at eight o'clock in Green Bay
tonight for the first round. Round two is gonna kick
off seven pm Tomorrow, Second and third rounds tomorrow. Final
four rounds gonna be drafted Saturday, starting at noon. I

thought this was kind of cool since last year Detroit
the Draft was in Detroit. The Detroit Sports Commission has
launched an online sale that features a bunch of stuff
from the draft last year. Street pole banners, placards, memorabilia,
a bunch of different stuff, and it's twenty five percent
off right now. If you want to get your hands
on some of that might be kind of cool.

Yeah, absolutely, I buy all the little.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
Piece of Detroit sports history. Proceeds are going to go
towards the Detroit Sports Commission. Construction of the new Amway
Stadium on Grend Rapids West Side starts today. Eighty five
hundred seat stadium expected to cost about one hundred and
seventy five million. A lot of that money was raised privately.

I know Amway put up a lot of money because
they've got the naming rights to it.

Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
The first match is scheduled for spring twenty twenty seven,
so construction expected about two years. Still no name that
I've seen for the professional soccer team that is going
to call that place home.

Sounds like we need to come up with a name.

Twelve states have filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration
to stop the tariffs Oregon, Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Maine, Minnesota, Nevada,
New Mexico, and Vermont. They say the tariffs lack lawful
authority and aren't based on legal standards, so they aren't
enforceable by federal agencies. The Trump administration, of course, defending

the tariffs as quote necessary to combat a national economic crisis.
That's three things you should know. Here is one you
probably shouldn't.

TikTok is looking out for dads and partners who are
clueless about what to get their moms for Mother's Day.
I'm not gonna go through the whole dues and don't
put some of those on the list.

Number One plan ahead. If you wait till last minute,
you will regret it. According to this mom. Next up
is personalized again. Think about what the mom really wants.
My wife wants a mommy makeover, so I can't really
can't really like she wants the whole. Like she's like,
we're done having kids. I want to read, I want
to I want to touch up everything, is what she's saying.

And I'm like, I can't get you that from mother.
How about flowers in a card?

Your bother. You look like you're about to say, why
can't you get her a bobby? Yeah, I'm for this.

I'm trying to think of ways how we could get
her because I see a lot of people on TikTok
right now who are like, hey, engage with this video
so I can pay for my pet surgery or pay
off my student loans or whatever.

That's a fig it's a thing. Oh I like that.

So I'm like, do we take this to TikTok and
just see if we can get that covered?

Or I don't. I don't dislike that.

Associates or like a banks in and we see if
they can help us.

Maybe we can give away mommy makeovers.

Yeah, we usually get my mom like all of her
like annuals, like flowers for the for the year. In
the landscaping, we'll go and like get her like a
palette or whatever. We all go in on it, so

All of her outside like flowers and stuff. That's usually
what we do.

She loves it every year, doesn't she.

That's what she asks for perfect? So all right, I

Sports Tigers won against San Diego yesterday Ali Mansion the
Draft which is in Green Bay, which is wild to
me because the city is only one hundred thousand people.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
Two hundred and fifty thousand set to be there. I
don't know how.

Speaker 3 (04:23):
Green Bay is gonna hold it at Google green Bay.
Because you think it looks like Detroit or Milwaukee, it
does not. It is a very tiny city with Justice
Stadium surrounding like with houses in regular party stores and
stuff like that.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
It's wild. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (04:37):
The Pistons Game three, which is a little overshadowed today
now is today versus the Knicks. You can hear that
on our sister station ninety six to one the game
at six thirty five.
