Here are three things you should know today. Governor Whitmer
pushing back over President Trump's proposed Big Beautiful Bill, warning
that it could cost Michigan nearly nine hundred million dollars
a year, stripping food and healthcare from hundreds of thousands.
The bill slash is funding for SNAP and Medicaid. Whitmer
says the cuts would hurt kids, working families, and the
elderly the most. She's urging Michigan's congressional Republicans to oppose

this before it reaches a Senate vote. This weekend is
Michigan's three free weekend June seventh and eighth, so you
can fish, ride orv trails, and also visit state parks.
You don't need a license and there are no fees,
so it's supposed to be pretty nice this weekend. Good
excuse to get outside, explore, and enjoy the best of

Speaking of saving money, Costco just made a move that
is fueling some serious excitement. Gas stations now open earlier
and staying open later, and a lot of cock's Costcos
adding more gas pumps altogether.

There's one in Granville that's the one that we go
to usually and it's got a couple of pumps, but
it's always backed.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
I mean it's a you get like a great deal
on gas, I get it. But that would help tremendously.

Yeah, So weekday hours are now six am to ten pm,
so a little bit earlier, a little bit later. And
they're also adding a few pumps. I don't know how
many pumps they're adding locally here in westpecial Again, this
seems like it's more of a nationwide initiative, but people
so far are saying that, you know, this has helped
the length of lines so far.

for simplicity, choosing quaint towns over big cities.

What we'll do is we'll go camping outside of those
towns and then just go into like a small town

Yeah, so Michigan is on that list for some of
the cities that people are going to.

to Priceline. Gulf Breeze, Florida, Stove Vermont, Nantucket, Massachusetts, Marathon, Florida,
Mackinaw Island, Michigan.

Yeah, yeah, And then there's actually a few Florida cities
on here, Key Largo, Groton, Connecticut, a bunch of cities
that we've probably never heard of. But here is a
bunch of cities that we've never heard of. So they're
very quaint, very small. Mackinac Island. I don't even want
to say it out loud, because it is. It is
that perfect amount of people there right now. So like,

going there, and we need everybody to start going. It's terrible.
