my two cents on Boston's classic rock one hundred point
seven w ZLX.

Speaker 4 (00:18):
Wooster police are searching for a man and woman on
a motorcycle accused of attacking a female driver during a
road rage incident on July fifteenth. Investigators say the altercation
escalated after the car's driver honked at the bikers, leading
to a confrontation in a parking lot, where the woman
on the bike allegedly struck the driver, causing a neck injury.
Police hope the distinctive tattoos on the female biker will

(00:38):
help identify the pair who fled the scene.

Speaker 5 (00:41):
I said this last hour. I stay committed to it.

Speaker 4 (00:43):
I don't want a profile, but zero chance these two
were not AF listeners.

Speaker 5 (00:47):
This is like af's main demo. You're committed to this.

Speaker 4 (00:50):
I am because these are my people, Like when I
go to Worcester, these are the people that come out
and say hi, Yes, so you can't hide forever.

Speaker 5 (00:57):
Let's go. We know where you are, we know where
you are.

Speaker 4 (01:00):
Boston hit oney a degrees yesterday, breaking a nineteen one
year old record for July twenty ninth. Is a heat
whip wave grips the eastern United States. According to four casts,
Providence also set a new high of ninety six degrees.

Speaker 5 (01:11):
Heat advisory remains in effect today.

Speaker 4 (01:13):
Temperatures are gonna feel like ninety five to one hundred five.

Speaker 5 (01:16):
Make sure you stay hydrated. No, no dogs in the car. Yeah,
it cools off like real hard tomorrow, doesn't it.

Speaker 4 (01:22):
We have a cult front coming through, so we'll see
a little bit like a thirty degree drop. Yeah, some
thundershowers and things like that. It'll be I know, just
like wait wait today and the weather will change. Got
some possible thunderstorms coming in by Thursday. But all signs
point toward a great weekend and a clear, sunny, hopefully

(01:42):
fabulous day for our party on Saturday at the Tall
Tall Ship.

Speaker 6 (01:45):
Beast bossed this Saturday noon to two ultimate ticket to
rock Party. Good weather out there in the universe, Yes,
keep it out there, Manifested Baby.

Speaker 4 (01:53):
One of the strongest earthquakes ever recorded, struck off Russias
Kamchatka Peninsula early today, sending tsunami waves into jupin Hawaii
and across the Pacific. The eight point eight magnitude quake
caused flooding at Russian ports and prompted mass evacuations in Hawaii.
In Japan, there were I saw some posts online that
said people were waiting four and a half to five
hours to go one mile on the evacuation rate.

Speaker 5 (02:15):
It's kind of like it is in Boston when you're
on the lever connector.

Speaker 4 (02:18):
Yeah, basically let's say that, can you just zoom up
to the front and slide in front.

Speaker 7 (02:22):
Of some of h You can't be that guy in
the middle of a tsunami though, yeah, probably not. It's
like cutting off a funeral possession.

Speaker 5 (02:29):
There's no way to go. Yeah, you screw You can't
get away from him.

Speaker 4 (02:32):
Boston University's CTE Center says it's willing to help investigate
Monday's deadly New York City shooting after the gunman, Shane Tomorrow,
left a note claiming he suffered from chronic traumatic and
stephalopathy or CTE, and requested that his brain be studied.
He'd played high school football but never got to the
NFL level, and killed four people before taking his own life.
Be you research or stress that CTE can be diagnosed

(02:54):
only post mortem and that this case appears more tied
to mental health, though they remain prepared to airly to
Mora's brain if asked. Chief Marie Leavita, making history, is
the first woman to lead Revere's police department. She's a
twenty nine year veteran of the force and takes the
oath today after serving as interim chief since June. Lavina
plans to boost morale with new ten hour shifts, expand

(03:15):
the department staffing, and enhance safety with mobile cameras along
Revere Beach, hoping her leadership inspires more women to join
law enforcement.

Speaker 5 (03:22):
Here's Chief LaVita.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
I was raised here.

Speaker 4 (03:25):
My parents actually met at Revere Beach, so Revere is
in my blood. Six women with Maryland addresses faced charges
in Massachusetts after homeowners found them inside a Norwood house
on July twenty fifth. The suspects fled, but were later
caught following a car chase and foot pursuit. Police say
two of them had altered or obscured fingerprints. I mean,

(03:45):
that's almost always automatically guilty. If you've burned off your fingerprints,
criminal gotta be criminal.

Speaker 5 (03:52):
Gotta be.

Speaker 4 (03:53):
Investigators believe the women, all related, are part of an
organized burglary ring operating across multiple states. Sounds like they
cased this house. They moved in pretty quickly after the
homeowners left for a camping trip. Unfortunately, they forgot their
child's doll and had to go back for it, walked it.
Can you imagine, like, oh, I forgot something at that,
because I do that with my ADHD brain. I do

(04:13):
this all the time. I leave the house, gotta go
back and get something. You've been gone fifteen minutes, you
walk back in. There's six people in your house.

Speaker 5 (04:20):
That would freak me out. Robin the joint.

Speaker 6 (04:22):
Yeah, and we all been there too, Like I leave
post it notes for myself on the door the night before,
so I don't forget things and I leave the house.
But like it happens, people forget things and you go
back and I can't imagine going back into my home
and there's people, Well.

Speaker 4 (04:34):
There's people there, And I mean, you gotta if you're
going to case the joint and pop in like that,
you gotta let it marinate for a little bit.

Speaker 5 (04:39):
I would do you run out call the cops, like
I get yes, yeh, James Mahoney is a neighbor.

Speaker 6 (04:47):
I think what happened is they drove by and saw
them putting every like putting their kids in the caravan
and putting luggage and stuff in the cash, so they
knew they were leaving on a trip.

Speaker 4 (04:57):
In five for three all they're back pack it up,
Pack up the jewels. Seventy seven degrees in Boston right
now with the high of eighty nine on the way.
Today is the last day of the heat wave. It's
gonna cool off over the next two and will be
a nice, pleasant sunny weekend. On Danielle, that's your download
cow one hundred.

Speaker 3 (05:13):
Point seventy seconds of sports with Tyler.

Speaker 5 (05:16):
All right, we got our beloved socks out in Minnesota.

Speaker 6 (05:18):
The theme last night was a steady stream of offense
and a solid outing from Lucas Giolito, who went six fold,
gave up only one ern run on five hits and
he whiffed five. Everybody contributed at the play too, Roman Anthony, Jaron, Duran,
William of Brau Satan Rafaela all with RBIs, But the
star of the night was Trevor Story for sure.

Speaker 5 (05:37):
Three runs batted in and here's.

Speaker 8 (05:39):
Two of them right now, swinging a high fly ball
left center field, deep Bader going back all the way
to the winning.

Speaker 3 (05:46):
Track, leaping up.

Speaker 8 (05:47):
He can't get this one, and Trevor Story goes downtown.

Speaker 5 (05:52):
Te Story on fire lately.

Speaker 9 (05:53):
Love it?

Speaker 6 (05:53):
Good news for a Roaldis Chapman, by the way. That
backspasm he had a couple of nights ago, not an issue.
Got the save last night, pitch the third of an inning.
Socks win five. I'm sorry, eight to five. They'll wrap
up this series with the Twins.

Speaker 5 (06:05):
Today.

Speaker 6 (06:05):
We got a day game one ten, first pitch, Brian
Beao on the hill. We're inching closer to the trade deadline,
with contending teams deciding what they need to add before
six o'clock tomorrow night. Jaron Durand's name for the Socks
keeps coming up, over and over and over. We'll see
if anything happens, we'll keep you updated. Speaking of the
trade deadline, this is a weird one. We've seen this

(06:25):
many times, when a guy gets traded in the middle
of a doubleheader. Yeah, so this happened yesterday. The Orioles
swept a double header against the Blue Jays. But for
Sir Anthony Domingez. It was a split. The Orioles reliever
was traded right between the games, so he basically just
grabbed his bag, his cleats as bad as ball and
left and went to the other clubhouse. Finally, heartwarming story

(06:46):
out of Chicago. The Cubs are honoring the legendary Hall
of Famer Ryan Sandberg, who passed away the other day,
with a ceremonial uniform patch. The blue patch has a
red twenty three on it, which was Sandberg's number, and
features his signature in white lettering, and it sits over
the Cubs logo on an arm sleeve. Class move from
a class organization that's sports. I'm Tyler and this is

(07:08):
the Chuck Nolan Morning Show on ZLX, and it's time
for you to get on the phone. Six one seven,
one hundred pointy seven. The Classic Rock Challenge is next.
We're going to get you in to see Stevie Nicks.

Truck's a vacation till Friday, but he left us the
keys to the ticket stash closet.

Speaker 5 (07:37):

in the bath. I have to go looks for them.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
Now, I don't.

Speaker 5 (07:43):
I don't know where to pluck them. Now when you
go back, there could be some home intruder in there.

Speaker 4 (07:47):
No, it's probably just someone else that I'll have a
two lengthy conversation with him.

Speaker 5 (07:50):

Speaker 2 (09:46):

Quiet and living the dream. Those stud don't normally go together.
What a combo? I love that all right, one note challenge.
You know how this works? Do you need to hear?
Do you need to hear it again?

Speaker 10 (09:57):

Where do you work? Can you say?

Speaker 8 (10:57):
Okay, look at you taking care of When I was
a little kid, they would have to chase me around
the doctor's office when there was time to give me.

Speaker 5 (11:03):
A booster shot. Oh you're still a baby.

Speaker 8 (11:06):
Yeah, so we were. If I was a kid and
you were my nurse. You'd be chasing me.

Speaker 5 (11:09):
Around and looking in toy boxes and under desk. It's
a weird turn. I'm not gonna lie. Mary. Congratulations.

Speaker 8 (11:16):
You're gonna go see Stevie Nicks.

Speaker 5 (11:19):
Congratulations.

All right, Chuck, we'll be back on Friday.

Speaker 6 (12:18):
In the meantime, you got Danielle Murra right there, Hi
and me Tyler, and we're reliving some of the memories
we've made over the first three and a half months
of the show. We're in the part three of an
am I the A Hole segment, which we do every
morning at seven thirty. By the way, this is the final.

Speaker 8 (12:33):
Chapter, shall we call it, of Chuck's house getting broken
into back in the day and whether or not he
handled it like a man and his wife came to
his rescue. Yeah, an online show some years ago. I
was living in Brighton on Commas. My girlfriend, now my wife,
dropped me off. Go in the apartment. Someone's in there

(12:54):
in the process of robbing my apartment. They take off,
go through the window. I chase after them, chase for
a while. I'd stop the chase because I don't know
what's gonna happen if I catch this guy.

Speaker 5 (13:05):
You thought you were gonna catch him, you were right there.
I did feel like I was gonna catch him.

Speaker 8 (13:09):
You fumbled up the five yard line, but then I
thought I was gonna feel like gunshots or something like that.

Speaker 5 (13:13):
You just don't know.

Speaker 4 (13:14):
Well, I've received some very important information regarding this story
that has not yet been revealed.

Speaker 5 (13:18):
Information.

Speaker 4 (13:19):
Yes, because I did put out the bat signal for
missus Nolan to text me and she came through.

Speaker 5 (13:24):
You haven't read this to me. I don't like that
they have each other's phone numbers. By the way, this
is starting to bother me. Now here's jealous Fish. You
won't accept your Facebook friend requests. The woman never contacts
me all of a sudden, You guys are best.

Speaker 4 (13:34):
Yeah, you're gonna go to the elevators. It's gonna be amazing. Anyway,
Chuck left out the look that the guy gave him.
The guy slowed down and turned to him, and Chuck
said it was the look he gave him that made
him stop the chase.

Speaker 5 (13:46):
Chuck did the right thing.

Speaker 8 (13:47):
I do remember the look he was the look he
turned around because I was catching up to him. He
turned around and as he's half running now he's like
looking at me. He just he looked into my soul.
I saw the eyes of the devil. There I saw
someone who just had no no respect for life or authority.
Nothing would stop. Sure he was a real Jeffrey Dahmer.

(14:08):
He's probably you know, well, no, it's a serial robber. Yeah,
we got some talkbacks, all.

Speaker 9 (14:15):
Right, shock. I gotta give you kudos for running after
the guy, but you gotta finish the job. Well. I
would have taken him out, you know, took him down,
and then you know, asked him why. I would have.

Speaker 11 (14:28):
I would have righted the guy, you know, you know,
choke hold or whatever, and then called the cops and
then pressed charges on the guy. You know, unless he
was destitute and needed the money or whatever. Okay, then
I would have let him go. I need the story.
You don't need the story.

Speaker 10 (14:45):
I love.

Speaker 5 (14:45):
What is most to do? Excuse me, sir, Why are
you robbing me?

Speaker 4 (14:50):
Why all act like if they weren't caught in like
if they ever were caught in the middle of a
gas station convenience store robbery, that they wouldn't pee their pants.

Speaker 8 (14:57):
Immediately right stop he's talking like they're TV theme music
in the background going on here, Benny Hill, Who's this?

Speaker 2 (15:11):
This is Doug Doug Ay?

Speaker 10 (15:12):
What do you think, doug All, I look at it
from two different viewpoints. I understand him giving up not
knowing what might happen. But now you've got to live
with the doubt of what might happen the next time,
you know, self, doubt about how you would handle is
you could handle it. You know, it's uh just something

(15:33):
to think about, you know.

Speaker 8 (15:34):
I think after that situation, I'm shocked I even left
the apartment after that. You know, I could just I
could have just shut myself away from the world exists.
You don't know what that, tyler. You don't know what
that's like. No, what my father did, and I watched
him handle like a man at the age of five.

Speaker 5 (15:52):
At the time. How many memories do you have when
you're five. I have a very vivid one of my
old man taking care of business. I actually have a
lot of photographic memories. He could just as we did
on the year ten minutes ago. You said, I don't
I can't.

Speaker 8 (16:03):
Recall short term memories, rapp mailing years ago, mailing from
need and what do you think.

Speaker 10 (16:10):
I think you should have pumbled just because you know what,
you might just save somebody else. I'm hotache. You know
what I mean maybe if a good beating right house whipping,
maybe you would stop doing it. And I don't think
he would come back, to be honest.

Speaker 8 (16:26):
With you, all right, ros.

Speaker 6 (16:31):
He could have been you could have been You could
have been the vigiland you could have been the batman
of the neighborhood. Who knows how many people got robbed
after they probably figured, Hey, I got away with it once,
let's do it again.

Speaker 8 (16:40):
So I'm responsible for this crime wave going through Brighton.
It's all your fault.

Speaker 4 (16:43):
Yes, I got a guy coming in and take your
measurements for your black final suit and cape.

Speaker 2 (16:48):
It's the Chuck Noland Morning Show and you'll never miss
a single.

Speaker 3 (16:52):
Second of it. Listen to the full show podcast every
day on the iHeartRadio ass and.

Speaker 2 (16:56):
Listen live every morning right here on Boston's Classic Rock.

Speaker 4 (17:00):
One seven w ZLX, Hey, Danielle Murrh Hi, Chris Tyler.

Speaker 6 (17:05):
So with Chuck on vacation until Friday, we're looking back
through the archives and some of the stuff we've talked
about over the first three plus months of the show.
It's this time every day we're in the middle of
the check in with Chuck. Yeah, we're going to go
back to one from a couple of weeks ago or
last week. I believe it was where we got into
this big conversation about Cape Cod and why a lot

(17:25):
of people don't want to go anymore.

Speaker 8 (17:27):
It's so expensive.

Speaker 6 (17:29):
Classic check In with Chuck after Classic Boston on Boston's
Classic Rocks It's ZLX. We got heavy involved into a
conversation about Cape Cod. A lot of people decide they
don't want to go anymore. It's the traffic, expensive and
all that. This is a Classic check In. It's a
two part of Danielle Yes, let's get into part one
right now.

Speaker 3 (17:49):
Good Chuck an online show.

Speaker 8 (17:50):
So yesterday I was talking to some of the team
members out in the sales rodeo out there, and one
of them was very ten I said, wow, where have
you been? And she said, well, we we're going to
go to the Cape, but we were looking at places
to rent and it was so expensive. We actually spent
a week in Las Vegas hanging by the pool and
it cost us less money than renting a place on

(18:12):
the Cape.

Speaker 4 (18:13):
I spoke with someone recently who had the same story.
She was debating where to go with her kid for
a little vaca and she's like, we're gonna go to Florida,
And I said, Florida in.

Speaker 5 (18:23):
July, and she said, we were going to go to
the Cape.

Speaker 4 (18:25):
But it was way less expensive to fly the two
of us down on Jet Blue and get an airbnb
for a week than it would have been to go
to the Cape for a weekend.

Speaker 5 (18:34):
Isn't that crazy?

Speaker 6 (18:35):
It's nuts, It is nuts nuts. I get the whole
concept of going somewhere else other than the Cape. Why
would you pick a warm weather destination in July? Florida
and Vegas in July?

Speaker 8 (18:46):
Forget about what are you gonna do? Go to Antarctica?
I go to Canada, go to the Thank you go
to Lake Maine or something. Get like a lake house.

Speaker 5 (18:55):
Yeah, all right, you go, get a weekend cabin. I've
been to my mother lives in Florida. I've been there
in the summer.

Speaker 8 (19:03):
It is suppressive, on godly hot well. To go to
Las Vegas in the summertime, it's brutal. As you walk
down the strip, they have the misters going everywhere, just
try to keep you alive.

Speaker 5 (19:13):
Brutal.

Speaker 8 (19:14):
But she said it wasn't bad because they had a
cabana at the pool, so they're constantly in the pool.
Drinks are right there. Great restaurants everywhere shows true. You
don't have that on the Cape.

Speaker 6 (19:23):
No, no, you do not.

Speaker 5 (19:23):
That's true. So they made that decision. I was just
looking at some home in the Cape like to rent
for the week. Yeah, what do we got?

Speaker 8 (19:29):
Cottage and mashbee fo and twenty one dollars for seven nights?
How many bedrooms?

Speaker 5 (19:35):
Four beds? That's inside bananas, that's insane. There's a place
in Dennis forty one ninety four for seven nights. But
it does have a little lighthouse.

Speaker 4 (19:43):
Oh well in that case, that's what we see is
dumb as that gets me like that, But it has
a tiny lighthouse.

Speaker 8 (19:50):
Yeah, let me overpay for thousands of dollars cottage and
wealth and wealthy three thousand, eighty nine dollars one queen
bed a cottage. That's not a cottage the picture I'm
looking at. But this is what it's like down the Cape.
It's thousands and thousands of dollars to.

Speaker 5 (20:06):
Warn the place for the week, and the investment you
got to get it back. Yeah. So our question for
the check in coming up here is is the Cape
too expensive?

Speaker 9 (20:16):
Yeah?

Speaker 8 (20:16):
Have you stopped going to the Cave. Do you make
alternate vacation plans now? Because the Cape is just it's
out of reach. I mean, it's right there, it's very well.
It all takes three days to get there, but it
is right there.

Speaker 5 (20:27):
That's true. Might be sureter to flight to Las Vegas,
which you can have booze on that ride.

Speaker 9 (20:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (20:33):
Legally, the check only Morning show urges you to nine
one one point seven.

Speaker 2 (20:41):
Chech WCLX and your message to seven oh four seven
oh Boston's Classic.

Speaker 6 (20:46):
Rock one hundred point seven w z LX so with
Chuck on vacation until Friday. Yep, you got me, Tyler.
You Danielle Murr Morning and where we living some memories.
We're in the middle of the check in with Chuck,
with we do every morning at eight thirty. We're about
to part two of our Cape Cod conversation.

Speaker 5 (21:04):
And really what it all boils down to is whether
or not you are okay with going to the Cape
these days.

Speaker 8 (21:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (21:09):
Basically you and I think are in the same boat.
We're not not Cape people, but we're not hardcore Cape people.

Speaker 4 (21:15):
I never really was like a Cape person. I didn't
come from a family like I have an aunt that
lives on the Cape. But that wasn't like my mom
worked for an airline, So if we're gonna travel any place,
we just went to Florida or we flew someplace, got it.
So it wasn't like a driving destination for us.

Speaker 5 (21:29):
For me, it was always.

Speaker 4 (21:33):
A Cape right Like, like, I do not deal well
with traffic at all, So it's not an option.

Speaker 6 (21:39):
It's a hassle for a lot of people. Some people
swear by it. I have friends that do family vacations
every year in the Cape.

Speaker 5 (21:44):
It just happens. So we did the check in last
week and not.

Speaker 6 (21:48):
Really surprising, but kind of surprising at the same time
is what people think about it.

Speaker 5 (21:52):
Let's dive into part two online show.

Speaker 8 (21:55):
When the kids were a little used to rent this
place on Lieutenant Island off a Wealthlee, just a little
tiny cottage.

Speaker 5 (22:01):
Bring him down there. The beach was right there. Get
some lobbies, some coronas. My favorite. The outdoor shower.

Speaker 4 (22:10):
The outdoor shower, the beat it what is it about that?
It's just freedom, man, He's out there the sun. Yeah,
you're own air, fresh air. I mean it's a show sparkling. Yeah,
it's the summertime. Yeah, you don't notice the scum that
has to be magic erasered off the side of the tub.

Speaker 6 (22:27):
No, not to break off topic here, but like one
of my best friends lives down in Marshfield. He he's
got three daughters and you know, living with a wife
and three girls that he just never could get to
the bathroom. He has an outdoor shower that's cool and
still uses it all like except for in the winter.
He uses it almost a year round.

Speaker 9 (22:44):
I love that.

Speaker 5 (22:45):
I love cool too. That is cool.

Speaker 8 (22:48):
It's what a great accessory. So we used to go
down to the Cape all the time. The cape is
so expensive now it's it's like it's triple what we
used to pay. Just looking at these prices again for
even nights, three tho eighty nine dollars three one hundred
ninety six dollars over five thousand dollars for seven nights.

(23:08):
So our question to you for the check in, are
you caped out six point seven nine one one hundred
point seventy going someplace else? Spend your money elsewhere. We're
talking about somebody flew out to Las Vegas. It was
cheaper cheaper to stay at a hotel camp out by
the pool. Technical gets match seven oh four to seven
zero free. iHeartRadio app use a talkbag button, Jennifer, what

(23:28):
do you think?

Speaker 9 (23:30):
Hi?

Speaker 5 (23:30):
Yes, Cape is just definitely out overrated. Gloucester is even
one hundred times better. You have a lot more fun.
The beaches are great, the food's awesome.

Speaker 8 (23:41):
Everything's just really good there at Gloucester, Whale watching cap
Cape ann.

Speaker 5 (23:49):
Oh Cape An is good as well.

Speaker 8 (23:51):
Rockport.

Speaker 5 (23:52):
There's a lot of good places here. It's a lot
of great restaurant, very good, very good. We have to
look into this.

Speaker 2 (24:00):
Michael.

Speaker 5 (24:00):
What do you think, Michael Horman, Hampshire, He goes. I
agree with Jennifers.

Speaker 10 (24:05):
Go north. You know, here's the thing.

Speaker 1 (24:08):
The days when I was younger, four of us could
jump in the car, a couple of cases of beer
two hundred bucks in each in our proper bucket, and
we could go down.

Speaker 10 (24:16):
There for a week.

Speaker 1 (24:18):
That I mean, let the people from out of state,
look you know, from other states, look at the Cape
online and say, oh this place must be nice.

Speaker 9 (24:25):
Look how much it is.

Speaker 1 (24:26):
Let them come in overpay, let them feed the economy,
let them hit the traffic. Go north, just go north
and save a ton of money.

Speaker 8 (24:33):
It's all new Yorkers now going off, young man. Mike,
You're right, though, money I remember just with my friends
jumping in the car and hit him down there with
next to no money.

Speaker 5 (24:42):
Hitting the beach comber. You can't even get in the beach.

Speaker 8 (24:45):
Forget about it.

Speaker 10 (24:49):
That two hundred bucks is your parking?

Speaker 2 (24:51):
Now what do you do? Yeah?

Speaker 8 (24:52):
Yeah, going to see John Valvey singing dirty songs? Who
hue expensive to vacation in our own state? No, we
should get a break. Don't you think this should be
a local discount? Come on, show your id half off something.
We got a guy from the cave, Jimmy from Buzzard's Bay.
What do you think, Jimmy, suck?

Speaker 10 (25:12):
It's awful. The house section going to be turned into
a B and b and it's two baths, no, two bedrooms,
one and a half bass four grand day a day day,
and they're getting it.

Speaker 5 (25:27):
They get a mouth hawk, he said.

Speaker 8 (25:31):
They're getting it.

Speaker 10 (25:33):
Because the place is never empty and they rent to
the worst people.

Speaker 8 (25:38):
Well, Jimmy, why aren't you renting out your place.

Speaker 5 (25:40):
For four grand?

Speaker 10 (25:41):
I'm thinking of the same bloody thing. But I gotta
sayre you chuck?

Speaker 5 (25:44):
Yeah, all right, we're losing. We're losing Jimmy, Jimmy.

Speaker 2 (25:48):
Are there?

Speaker 3 (25:50):
I got two cats?

Speaker 8 (25:53):
Four grand a day. There's got to be something with
like Billy Joel must be there every morning sing a piano.

Speaker 5 (25:59):
Man, why eat breakfast? So it has got to be
something like that. Has to be something four granded day.
That's insane. That is crazy. People are asking for that
and they're getting it. Get that f out of here?
Are you kidding me?

Speaker 2 (26:12):
Your thirty seconds of fame is a talkback away? Leave
it a message with the talkback teacher on the free
I heard radio app Yes, drunk dials qualified, Then make
WC electure number one pre set.

Speaker 3 (26:23):
It's the Chuck Dylan Mooying Show on vos's Classic Rock
minus Chuck Nolan.

Speaker 5 (26:29):
He'll be back on Friday. He will, he will be.
That's Daniel Murra. I'm Tyler. We're holding it down.

Speaker 6 (26:33):
In the meantime, readliving some memories from the first three
and a half months of the show. One thing I
think the general public has learned about me anyway is
a massive amount of coffee I like to drink. Yes,
it's about a thirty ounce yety with two espresso.

Speaker 4 (26:47):
Shots, conservatively two hundred and fifty milligrams of caffee and
maybe three hundred.

Speaker 5 (26:51):
It's not that much. Let's be honest. We learned there's
a thing called a bucket of coffee. Yes, remember this conversation, Yes,
I do remember this conversation. Check this out again, good
online show. I'm gonna say this section of the country
is probably the biggest coffee drinkers in America. I mean,
let's face it, We've got dunks on every corner. We're
running on it. They just opened up a Dunks in.

Speaker 8 (27:13):
Stow today, and Stowe changed the name of the town
to like dunk Kill or something. Channel By was live
all day. It was an event. It's coffee.

Speaker 5 (27:23):
They milk the hell out of that live shot.

Speaker 8 (27:25):
Yes, so to speak, Oh milk coffee.

Speaker 5 (27:29):
I didn't even mean to do that. Tyler is drinking
like a gallon size yetti every day. I had no idea.

Speaker 6 (27:35):
And you refilled the thing with espresso. Well, it's it's
a thirty thirty inches of coal brew and then I
throw in two espresso shots on top of it.

Speaker 5 (27:44):
Yeah, because you need more caffeine. How many milligrams a caffeine?

Speaker 6 (27:47):
Is there?

Speaker 5 (27:47):
You ever look at it a lot? Who cares? I
need it. Who cares need it? I have no choice.
I'm gett up at three thirty in the morning. I'm
working twenty hours a day.

Speaker 8 (27:54):
Do you think if you stopped right now drinking coffee
you would have like the worst headache, if your your
head would blow? Funny, you should say that I I
stopped drinking coffee a couple of years ago and nothing changed. Really, yeah,
I did you drink coffee for several months? That was it?

Speaker 5 (28:12):
They didn't get ahead ache, and I didn't know withdrawal,
didn't blank, didn't blank? I say back up again, and
here I am. It probably does nothing for me. It's
a ritual thing.

Speaker 4 (28:21):
So that's that's what it is for me. Like I
don't get any benefit from the caffeine. It's more the ritual.
That's why I don't make it at home. Yes, it's
it's just not satisfying. I like placing my little mobile order,
going in, saying hi to the ladies at the Duncan
on the landwagon morning you're morning telling of.

Speaker 8 (28:35):
The people who were camped out in the best parking
spot right in front of the door there and they're
not doing anything.

Speaker 5 (28:39):
Lady with the.

Speaker 4 (28:39):
Wedge haircut, the phone playing games with the foot up
on the dashboard.

Speaker 5 (28:43):
I was so psychotic. She sent us a photover she did.

Speaker 8 (28:46):
Well, I want to know.

Speaker 4 (28:47):
I want to proof to you guys that my stories
have actual, real life, you know, attachments.

Speaker 5 (28:52):
I'm not just making stuff up here. It's like, yeah,
I see these people the books.

Speaker 9 (28:55):
She gave you.

Speaker 5 (28:55):
She had a weapon. Oh my god.

Speaker 8 (28:58):
H So yeah, I'm the rest of the country things are.
We're crazy because we drink dunk and iced all winter. Sure,
you know colbrew, That's all I drink all year. And
it's like, do you drink soda?

Speaker 10 (29:08):
Yes?

Speaker 5 (29:09):
Do you drink it warm in the winter?

Speaker 9 (29:10):
No?

Speaker 5 (29:11):
Do you drink warm water in the winter?

Speaker 9 (29:12):
No?

Speaker 8 (29:13):
Good point. Well, now I'm with you. We're taking coffee
to another level. There's a place called the Sandwich Works
in Newton. They are selling a fifty two ounce coffee.
What am I supposed to do with fifty two ounces?
It is a bucket of coffee and it sells for
eight bucks? Is possible?

Speaker 5 (29:31):
And a half? How is that possible? I want to
know how much those beans are, Dude. I used to
go to Starbucks every day. I used to get the Trenta,
which is thirty ounces. I never even heard of. It's
not even on the menu. You have to know it's there.

Speaker 6 (29:43):
Yeah, they have a cup for that. Yeah, yes, it's
thirty ounces. It's the extra large or whatever they call line.
It's Trenta right grand large. Trento would be an excel
on the cup display.

Speaker 5 (29:56):
They don't show it Trento. They have to go in
the back room. Hey, we got a trent To real.
You can get it on the app, but it's not
on like the menu on the wall when.

Speaker 9 (30:03):
You go in.

Speaker 6 (30:04):
No, it's not Eno firm to put that extra column exactly.
But the point is that was like six dollars in
change for thirty Yeah, this place.

Speaker 5 (30:11):
A Newton fifty two ounces for six. I'm in look
at the savings. Where are you supposed to put this
when you're driving? It's a bucket.

Speaker 8 (30:18):
You're gonna put it on the floor. Friends from WBZ
news radio talk to this guy. Okay, the shop owner says,
this thing's a big head. Downside, it doesn't fit in
your cup holder in your car.

Speaker 5 (30:28):
You got the upside. You can take it to the
beach and make Sam cossles with it. All right, that's
see point multitasking.

Speaker 10 (30:35):
I like it all right.

Speaker 8 (30:36):
It's a bucket with a handle and it comes with
a giant straw. So, like you said, you can't fit
in the cup holder you pick, you get into your car,
you're driving. Are you holding up like a lantern in
a ghost story?

Speaker 1 (30:49):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (30:49):
Hit the brakes all of a sudden because someone break
checks you, and then it slides underneath the gas pedal.

Speaker 5 (30:53):
Now you get a bucket hooked on your gas what's happening?
Now you put the bucket on the passenger seat and
just extend the straws stroll. It's like a baby's arm.

Speaker 4 (31:02):
By the way, I don't like wide straw like wide
volume straws, like McDonald's straws versus a Duncan straw. Yeah,
Duncan has the little straws and then they have the
big one for the iced coffee. I don't know why
they didn't just make that straw longer. They also made
it wider. Yeah, I don't like that volume of fluid
coming at once, the.

Speaker 5 (31:19):
Volume of fluid. She doesn't like that much fluid in
the mouth. Just want to clarify, not at the same time. Okay,
got it understood. Yep. What about those little coffee stirs
that that are like a little straw.

Speaker 4 (31:30):
Yeah, yeah, that's fun when you go to grab one
of those and you're like, this is completely impractically.

Speaker 5 (31:36):
I love what they're doing. I think this is genius.
Fifty two ounces for only eight bucks, go fifty two
ounces bad? The bathroom be a busy place, back and
forth all day?

Speaker 4 (31:45):
Can I mean the average human stomach is like thirty
two to fifty ounces, So this is your entire stomach.

Speaker 5 (31:52):
Contents in a bucket. Where is this place?

Speaker 9 (31:55):
I don't know.

Speaker 8 (31:56):
The Sandwich Works is the name of the place. I
gotta go find. It's on your way home. On the pipe,
the owner's grab one. The owner says, the handle is
the key. It's hard to carry. Otherwise it's a lot
easier with the handle. It's kind of like a pocketbook
full of coffee. Kyle Shan, It's like a pocket book
full of coffee. I'm looking at the picture. It doesn't
look big in the picture. It looks kind of tiny.
They gotta put something next to it for scale. Yes,

(32:18):
you need banana for scale in this case exactly.

Speaker 6 (32:20):
But when you see it has a giant handle on it,
it's like a It was a different story just strolling
into work with a bucket of coffee?

Speaker 8 (32:28):
Is that for everybody?

Speaker 9 (32:29):
No?

Speaker 5 (32:30):
Me, it's mine? Is it a box of job? No,
I'm gonna go there.

Speaker 6 (32:33):
I'm gonna buy one and I'm gonna use it next
week here to fill Mike Colebrew with it. And I'm
gonna have that every day in the studio.

Speaker 4 (32:40):
You realize that by the time that you drive out
to Piccagelli Square and Newton get this drive back to
Charles like this is effectively erasing.

Speaker 5 (32:47):
Him early Saturday morning, when no one's aro on. By
the time he got back here to Medford, that bucket
to be gone. You gotta get two buckets. Oh you
know how bad I'd have to pee? Oh my god,
Oh my lord.

Speaker 3 (32:59):
It's a Chuck Nolan morning show on Boston's Classic Rock.
