Speaker 2 (00:24):
Welcome to the Divide with Mike and Corey. To die
hard baseball fans who don't agree on anything, which side
will you choose? This is the divide.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
Welcome to the divide with Mike and Corey.

Speaker 3 (00:38):
Hopefully our disagreements one day bring us all together.

Speaker 4 (00:43):
So stupid, Corny, our disagreement I written about.

Speaker 1 (00:53):
Ten years ago.

Speaker 5 (00:54):
Oh my god, here you're gonna.

Speaker 3 (00:59):
Bring a lot of things.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
I love it, man.

Speaker 4 (01:02):
We uh we used to talk through the intro all
the time, and uh then we had a respect for it,
like we were like too good for it.

Speaker 1 (01:09):
Yeah, and I completely forgot we used to do.

Speaker 4 (01:10):
That divide Live Fox Sports, The Gambler one of two,
five Philly one four one, trentone. Check us out on
the iHeart Radio app or just called iHeart App now
for you younger jen Ziers.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
But the Pope is dead. I just wanted to get
that clip.

Speaker 3 (01:30):
I was gonna mention there's like a preset feature now
like on the iHeart app, so you can add us
to your preset on the iHeart Radio app.

Speaker 5 (01:42):
Bro, I just wanted to get you off guard. Now
we have that clip where I just yelling you just
start laughing. This is gonna be gold guys. Just wait
till it hits TikToker Instagram. It's gonna be ban test.

Speaker 6 (01:58):
Shout out to Mama Powers.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
I want to give a shout outs to Barnegut right
now in the surrounding area with the fire that's going. Yes, insane, yeah, absolutely.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
This is California. What are we doing here?

Speaker 3 (02:10):
And somebody one of my buddies was like, Oprah's gonna
buy up all that land. God, it's so terrible.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
Earthquakes, now, fires. We are. We're East California, That's what
we are.

Speaker 3 (02:23):
I don't know what I do, though, is I hope
everybody's safe.

Speaker 4 (02:28):
Taking a lesson from California. Just just get out early,
don't wait.

Speaker 3 (02:31):
Yeah, just oh, my brother's calling me this This cell
service is terrible, Like it's like I'm talking to somebody
in nineteen ninety two, like it through a can like
Campbell soup. And then he's like, hey man, something throwing
my car. I was like, what He's like, there's so
much ash and debreathe that it thinks it's like getting
into like so the sensors are stopping his car.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
No way, that's think.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
I'm like dude, stop driving, I get in your house.
I knew he should, but some of the pictures are
terrifying that he shared.

Speaker 4 (03:02):
Dude, the flames are meansane. It's wild something you know
it's funny.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
Because it's like, it's not funny.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
No, it's not funny.

Speaker 3 (03:11):
There's a poet.

Speaker 4 (03:13):
It's not as funny as the what's what's funny is
like depending on who you talk to. Some people know
everything about it and some people have no clue. Fair Like,
I texted I was supposed to have a work thing tonight.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (03:27):
Uh, And it got canceled because of the fires. Because
of the fires. Because the company that we were doing
it with this base down there and they're like, look
a lot of our workers are displays blah blah blah
blah blah. So I texted my wife and said like,
look like I don't have to go to the work thing.
I'm gonna do this instead. And she's like, well why,
I'm like, well because of the fires. You know they're
down in that area. She goes, what fires?

Speaker 3 (03:46):
Yeah, so what get.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
Out of our house and look to the left like
those fires bro.

Speaker 3 (03:51):
Like in Philly. They're like I was like, hey, I
just got to check on check in with my family
real quick. I need like ten minutes, all right, man, Like,
is this it's like a normal routine for you? And
I was like, no, like literally, they're the entire town's
on fire.

Speaker 4 (04:06):
How my brother lives in Yeah, yeah, power you know,
uh you know roads down there too.

Speaker 6 (04:13):
Yeah, everybody is except for me.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
Uh.

Speaker 6 (04:16):
And then my one sister, Barb is in Tuckerton.

Speaker 3 (04:19):
So she's like offering a safe vent for them, and
I was like, obviously they could come here.

Speaker 4 (04:24):
I thought you were like she was offering, declined, I'm
like house is full, all right?

Speaker 6 (04:30):
No, god no, but so far, so good. Uh, you know.

Speaker 3 (04:35):
Germ was like, you need to tell your brother to
stay inside because, like I don't want to hear a
radio thing where if you were involved in the barn
to get fires called.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
This right now, I've watched Carl Bong hits. I'm kidding,
I'm gidding. I never want to put that. I haven't
watched him there any of that.

Speaker 3 (04:58):
Yeah, he's running barn to get right.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (05:01):
Yeah, no, No, he's a good I've offered numerous times
that he said No, No, I'm kidding.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
I haven't offered him too selfish.

Speaker 4 (05:10):
Let's let's get into a little bit of sports, because
some the one person that still listens to us, I think,
wants to hear from us about that.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
Maybe life is good as a Yankee fan right now.

Speaker 3 (05:19):
Man, it's it's like when we first started here.

Speaker 4 (05:21):
It is.

Speaker 3 (05:22):
It gave me flashbacks of whatever year that.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
Was, two, twenty or twenty one. What was our first
Oh at the Gambler.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
Yeah, you're right, twenty one, that's what's it funs even
twenty two.

Speaker 1 (05:36):
I don't know, we'll get the dates.

Speaker 3 (05:37):
Yeah, who kids, But whatever it was, it was great.

Speaker 4 (05:40):
We started on a Philly, Philly radio station and both
New York teams were just amazing.

Speaker 3 (05:46):
And that's where we're at now. Now what I will share,
and this is why Phillies should calm down a.

Speaker 1 (05:51):
Little bit, exactly.

Speaker 3 (05:52):
Go at the end result of that. Yep, Phillies were
in the world. Here they were, and both New York
teams are home. They were, so everybody calmed down. Need
to calm down, Doda Simandata.

Speaker 4 (06:05):
Yeah, anyway, Mets, Mets are on top, Yankees are on top.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
Philly. You're doing okay, You're They're fine.

Speaker 7 (06:13):
There's no need to panic, right guys, Atlanta should pack,
Like I don't know what's going on in Atlanta, but
someone will tell them they have baseball to play.

Speaker 1 (06:25):
That would be fantastic.

Speaker 3 (06:26):
Yo, it's great and that's that's like it's about damn
time though, Like it's about time.

Speaker 6 (06:31):
Like they need to have a bad year.

Speaker 3 (06:33):
What is going It's so great, it's so great.

Speaker 4 (06:36):
I can't even argue like, oh, well, there's schedule's been tough,
Like no, it's been.

Speaker 3 (06:40):
Dude, Baseball's baseball. I don't care what anybody says about scheduled.

Speaker 4 (06:44):
Like wait a second, no, he's right, Baseball is baseball.
Fact checked that check all right.

Speaker 3 (06:50):
The Mets historically lose to the crappier teams. So like
when everybody's like, oh, the Mets are the easiest schedule, cool,
they took advantage of that schedule and now they have
a lead. Like that's baseball, Susan, you know what I mean, Like,
it's just ridiculous to have that argument. We're all gonna
play the same amount of games. We're all gonna play
pretty much the same amount of teams and the same

(07:11):
amount of times, except for the Mets ironically have to
play the Yankees every goddamn year.

Speaker 6 (07:17):
Right, just good marketing it is.

Speaker 3 (07:19):
It's great money.

Speaker 6 (07:19):
It's good marketing.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
For the last year.

Speaker 3 (07:23):
Finally, but do you know how many times like a lot, Yeah,
a lot play off our one game and it's like, oh, man,
who did you play? Well, we played the Phillies played Toronto, Like, oh,
who did we play? The freaking souped up steroid using abuse?

Speaker 1 (07:41):
It wait, I think everybody was using steroids.

Speaker 3 (07:45):
Yeah, and you hired all of them.

Speaker 4 (07:49):
That doctor was working by himself. These players had no
idea that. Yeah, clements had no idea back then you
had that doctor that. Now you got the M I
T sign is what's next? Elon Musk just gonna shoot.

Speaker 3 (08:03):
Baseball's in the space for you, like ay, I like
we have the first We just the Yankees just signed
the first A Billy Bean.

Speaker 4 (08:12):
Got to uh, well, what is it, Bill James? Billy
Bean got the Bill James first. Otherwise we would have
had our own little moneyball situation going on. So but listen,
long baseball season, very long. Everybody calm down. Things will
be okay. Plus, if you're sick of gambling on baseball Philly,

(08:32):
you can gamble on other things in the near future.

Speaker 3 (08:35):
Yes, you want to get into that a little bit.
Our first of the year, probably two years. We're bringing
it back definitely to brace yourself segment.

Speaker 1 (08:43):
Let's do it.

Speaker 3 (08:45):
So the Governor had uh Sean Brace, our program director,
the host of the daily ticket from three to six.

Speaker 1 (08:53):
Guess everybody else is business lot.

Speaker 5 (08:57):
No.

Speaker 3 (08:58):
Sean Bras is known in in this market, just so
you know, to be that guy.

Speaker 6 (09:03):
And he is that guy. And I was so proud
of him. I called him earlier that he.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
Must have been stalked about.

Speaker 3 (09:08):
But yeah, Philly is joining five other states. I believe
in this, this new poker coalition if you want to.

Speaker 1 (09:17):
I love that. It's like a poker coalition too.

Speaker 4 (09:20):
Like it's this so along with online gambling on sports
that now it's it's poker as well.

Speaker 1 (09:27):
There's I guess as far as the.

Speaker 4 (09:30):
Multi State Internet Gaming Agreement is concerned, that now it's
like this poker market. So Governor Shapiro signed a multi
State Gaming Agreement for bringing Pennsylvania into this shared online
poker market. Pennsylvania joins New Jersey, Nevada, Delaware, West Virginia,
Michigan all in the agreement. And I can't tell you

(09:53):
what a wild combination of states. That is, I'm like,
I'm reading this and I'm like, all right, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware,
that makes sense, West Virginia, Michigan. It's just kind of
all over the place. But you know, to each their own,
it'll catch on. Governor's office says the expansion of online
gaming for poker creates more choice of freedom for the
one hundred and fifty thousand online poker players across the state,

(10:16):
increasing the pool of players by more than fifty percent. So,
if you guys have ever played poker before, online poking,
online poker playing can be played against other individuals online.
So it's basically online gaming with live people, but it's
it's poker and virtual deck.

Speaker 6 (10:32):
So online poking needs to be consensual.

Speaker 4 (10:36):
Yes, yes, but there's plenty of free online poking if
you just you don't need to pay for that.

Speaker 3 (10:41):
No, I'm just excited our boy, Sean Brace was in
the mix with the governor to announce this amazing, amazing partnership. Again,
I don't know what any of that means. I don't
know anything. What I know is Sean Brace knows gambling,
and if you're gonna make an announcement. You need SB
in your corner. That's what the governor did. Pretty freaking awesome.

Speaker 1 (11:02):
And gambling This is gonna sound so terrible, but perfect
for this station.

Speaker 4 (11:07):
Gambling helps the state, you guys, Like it's money into
the state.

Speaker 1 (11:11):
It helps the commonwealth. I feel.

Speaker 3 (11:16):
It helps. Like all right, you're right, Like, let me
add another couple of hundred dollars, Like you.

Speaker 1 (11:21):
Need you losers to put your money on the line.

Speaker 6 (11:24):
Gambling helps?

Speaker 3 (11:25):
Is that better? Is that better?

Speaker 1 (11:26):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (11:26):
I think all gambling helps, but we want you to
do it responsibly.

Speaker 1 (11:30):
I think the terrible gamblers help more, to be honest
with you, But.

Speaker 3 (11:33):
Originally for the education system, Like was that the first
That's why they were okay with like the lottery and.

Speaker 4 (11:39):
Stuff, not specifically, but not certain states from Yeah, your educators.

Speaker 1 (11:46):
It's it's the things that.

Speaker 3 (11:48):
The people we don't pay each tax, Yeah, save our
lives exactly.

Speaker 1 (11:53):
Yeah. You know, look, you know some people want to gamble.

Speaker 6 (11:56):
I get you.

Speaker 4 (11:57):
Some people want to gamble. You know, it's not it's
better than donating to a charity.

Speaker 3 (12:00):
Right, you gotta know hold no one to fold them.

Speaker 1 (12:04):
You gotta know when to walk away. Then you gotta
know when to run.

Speaker 7 (12:07):
I didn't country when you're sitting at the table.

Speaker 3 (12:13):
There was a song last night and Pete, Uh, we're
at trivia, like at Chicky's and pizza, and Jen swore
Johnny Cash. I was like, I don't know who this
person is. Oh, it was the song the House of
New Orleans.

Speaker 6 (12:26):
Uh there is a House.

Speaker 3 (12:29):
No Rising Sun. Yeah, and she's like, oh, this is
Johnny Cash. I was like, it's absolutely not Johnny Cash.

Speaker 1 (12:36):
She heard Johnny Cash.

Speaker 4 (12:37):
She knows it sounds like what I said, Oh, this
is Alanis Morisset. That you couldn't throw that out there.
That would have been a better guy, way closer.

Speaker 3 (12:45):
Yeah. So like I was in I was just like, yo, dude,
that's that's not right. That's not remotely close right. And
she still then told what you're not supposed to do
in trivia, So Jenny is now banned.

Speaker 4 (12:58):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (12:58):
She then told the other that she thought it was
Johnny Cash, and then they agreed with her, and yo,
I was like, yo, guys, I don't know who it is.
Like had like the animals, that's it.

Speaker 6 (13:08):
I knew that. And it's like a ha aha moment.

Speaker 3 (13:12):
But she's convincing to everybody around her.

Speaker 6 (13:14):
That's Cash.

Speaker 3 (13:15):
I was like, that is not Johnny Cash, Like not even.

Speaker 1 (13:19):
Closes should run for office.

Speaker 4 (13:20):
That's anybody that can convince people around them like no, no,
this is it right, guys, like that's come on.

Speaker 3 (13:27):
Oh And then Peyton told her that one of the
artists was Billie Eilish and she's like, I just thought
she was joking. I was like, you more than your daughter.
Your daughter's been on Q one or two more than
any other.

Speaker 1 (13:41):
Dude, I don't care, like this is like that. I'm old.

Speaker 4 (13:46):
Moment is like when I'm teaching and the kids are like, oh,
have you heard this song?

Speaker 1 (13:49):
And I'm like, by who? And they name it us?
I don't They could be making it up a little.
I think they're messing with me.

Speaker 4 (13:55):
I have no I have no unless it's like Usher
or give me an artist that still makes music today
that we would know.

Speaker 7 (14:03):
Yeah, exactly, smith, exactly know what I mean, Like, I
have no.

Speaker 6 (14:07):
Clue, no idea, zero. Yeah it sucks. I do Dasha
no not.

Speaker 3 (14:15):
Dash is the country, Dashes the kitchen and the country.
Peyton likes her, but also then he's like a little
Dsha or is it what is the one that does
the why can't I remember her name?

Speaker 6 (14:28):
Whatever?

Speaker 1 (14:30):
I can't help you with that.

Speaker 6 (14:34):
Sorry, we're not We're do She does bro.

Speaker 3 (14:40):
She's got like two songs that are amazing, but the
one is like whenever Peyton's upset, I was like, let's
do some breathing exercises, and she does. It's her version
of and I said, that's the buster on the when
we're on to lunch together. It is like my daughter's

(15:03):
version of Eminem like this, yes, yes, seriously, because she's
something or maybe even like for me, it would have
been Biggie at that age and then like Eminem in
eighth grade, right yeah, but uh dude, she or Tupac
Biggie like in third and fourth grade where I'm hearing

(15:23):
the radio edited versions.

Speaker 6 (15:25):
But she's obsessed.

Speaker 4 (15:28):
I understand the obsessed part. Like, so, if you're comparing
it like it's like her version of this with her
infatuation with it, I get it.

Speaker 1 (15:36):
But I feel like.

Speaker 4 (15:39):
Knew who Biggie was, but they knew who Eminem was.

Speaker 1 (15:42):
Like the fact that like you and you would know,
I would. I guess if I had a kid that
listens to that stuff.

Speaker 4 (15:48):
My kid listens to Mick Yeah right now, I mean,
I don't know if you guys have heard the Mickey
Mouse clubhouse theme, but it is insane.

Speaker 3 (15:56):
Speaking of songs that I wish my niece or nephew
didn't know WrestleMania was on Easter. Oh that's yes. And
you know, the the John Cena theme song is constantly
played throughout this household, especially on the day of two
j c's John Cena and Jesus Christ. He has risen,

(16:16):
He has risen. Uh you know, so my left my
house and now sings John Cena sucks, John Cena sowhere.

Speaker 1 (16:27):
This is why.

Speaker 3 (16:29):
And when a kid's like barely just out of diapers, like,
maybe that's not what they should be saying. O.

Speaker 6 (16:34):
My brother I taught them, so.

Speaker 1 (16:37):
Yeah, I kid.

Speaker 3 (16:41):
Said it's Kylie or Brian. They're saying worse stuff.

Speaker 1 (16:43):
I know, but that's why I was kind of like, oh,
that's cute. Maybe Carl just doesn't want him say that.
I don't know my.

Speaker 3 (16:49):
Brother is Carl not bird oh Man? In all seriousness,
I love you Bert, but yeah no, Carl's like thanks
a lot, And then like I called him, I was like,
is this my fault? He's like no, but what your fault?
Is like, I said, you know the met Landerns that

(17:11):
are have been on.

Speaker 1 (17:12):
The dude, yeah those things.

Speaker 3 (17:14):
Yeah, so you were like I was hoarding him. Shout
out to Josh from PC. Richard Son hooked me up
with a ton of them. He found him at a
dollar store in Philliate. He was like, he bought them
all and I was like, you psycho and uh so
it finally got to me and my nephew asked for
a bunch of women and I said yeah, because no, brother, no,

(17:35):
just knowing to pissed Carl off. So he's like, I
don't blame you for the John Cena sucks thing. I
blame everybody for that, but the met Landern's like, w tf, Mike,
And I was like, yeah, that's fair.

Speaker 4 (17:45):
Listen, Carl, you were in charge of that household. You
could have smashed those.

Speaker 1 (17:50):
In front of them.

Speaker 6 (17:52):
No, no, you could have.

Speaker 1 (17:53):
Carl.

Speaker 3 (17:54):
I was like, send him the bride. Bride Brie is
the person that I thought about when I was gonna
make that.

Speaker 6 (17:59):
So, oh yeah, dude, this is uh, this has.

Speaker 3 (18:04):
Been pretty offendful for the last twenty minutes. So I'm
just gonna throw it out there.

Speaker 4 (18:08):
Bro.

Speaker 1 (18:08):
What I'm like I know this.

Speaker 4 (18:10):
This is gonna be a short podcast anyway. We don't,
we don't have much time.

Speaker 1 (18:14):
But it's like we're on the bubble of.

Speaker 4 (18:16):
Just crazy sports news that the NFL Draft is right
right now. It's just like it's it's percolating. Something crazy
is gonna happen. So I'm glad we're back in the
swing of things. The Giants were in the news all
you know, all the rumors around the draft. They're panicking,
desperately trying to trade up for a first round draft pick.
Cam Ward seems to be that guy. Give them a

(18:37):
shot to do what exactly the door Sanders rumor has
it after interviews in different coaches perspectives, he's starting to
drop in the draft. We don't like speculating too much
on this show about the draft because we just watched
it in half the time. You know, you get the
Ryan Leafs that just don't plan pan out and that's
what it is. But I will tell you one thing.

Speaker 3 (18:58):
Oh you got the say shown Barkleys that pan out
for Philly and not New York.

Speaker 1 (19:07):
That's a good puss. That was a good puss.

Speaker 3 (19:08):
I know, just they call somebody called them dude.

Speaker 7 (19:13):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (19:14):
I couldn't be happier for Saquon, not because I don't
care about the Giants, but I just, you.

Speaker 1 (19:18):
Know, you know what I like any Like I would
be mad if.

Speaker 4 (19:23):
The Mets went and won a World Series with Watson,
oh if you know.

Speaker 1 (19:27):
What I mean.

Speaker 4 (19:28):
I get that, but I like the fact that the
Giants didn't. It's not like It's not like the Yankees
didn't try to pay Soda, right, Soda was like, I'm
going here. The Giants were like, good luck, bronay you
and then the team that won the goddamn Super Bowl
was like, no, we'll pay him.

Speaker 3 (19:49):
This is why we're.

Speaker 4 (19:51):
Gonna have a career season just being insane for like,
are you kidding?

Speaker 1 (19:56):
And it's a divisional rhyme.

Speaker 3 (19:59):
Fantastic, No, I agree, Like, uh, the whole piat Alonzo
thing with the Mets, right, yeah, if he went somewhere
else won a World Series, I'd be so happy for
Pete of course, you know, because like I just felt like,
you know, if your fan base is channing bring back Alonzo,
like we want Pete and all this other stuff base.

Speaker 4 (20:18):
If you're if your player has said numerous times I
want to play here.

Speaker 3 (20:22):
And he showed how clutch he could be when the
game is on the line. It just blew my mind
that they didn't just say, hey, let's figure this out
long term and like, look look at what he's done
the last twenty five games. It's insane. He's an MVP.

Speaker 4 (20:35):
Dude, He's a goddamn v Now what I label he
won Soto effect?

Speaker 1 (20:41):
Fact.

Speaker 4 (20:42):
Yeah, it's just it's it's there was no way to
explain it on the Yankees. Listen, dude, Lindor Alonzo Soto.
Who I mean, it's not like you can pitch around
all of these guys. It's how many you can't pick
and choose.

Speaker 3 (20:55):
So everybody's just out in Philly because they're they're just
like somebody else is gonna beat you. It's like a
death by a thousand needles. And that's one of baseball
team's playing the best. Like it's not just the long
ball they have that they have that they have that
more than any other team. But they're gonna hit a double,
they're going to score two runs, and they're just gonna
run six on you without you even noticing.

Speaker 1 (21:16):
That's wild.

Speaker 3 (21:16):
Yeah, and they have a shutout bullpen right now. The
starting lineup was always the question mark, and it looks
like our gm knew what the heck he was doing.

Speaker 1 (21:26):
Well for now, it still is early.

Speaker 4 (21:28):
We'll celebrate it. We'll celebrate it as it comes. But
you know, we take it all with a grain of salt.

Speaker 3 (21:34):
But it would have to be a huge fall from
grace for for them to not realize, like they built
a pretty decent ball club. And yeah, we could have
a few more starting pitchers that that join the the
the you know, the fold.

Speaker 1 (21:48):
Anything will happen at the trade deadline.

Speaker 6 (21:50):
Exactly, but I'm not. I'm not worried about it right now.

Speaker 3 (21:55):
And the other thing is like, so the beauty of
this And I can't wait to talk to Sheffield Tuffler
because like he's upset about it. But Peter Alonzo, not
Peter Alonzo, Juan Soto getting cheered, uh during his slump
and they're like, you stole that from us, Philly, you
stole it, Like this is New York, Like why are

(22:16):
you doing this?

Speaker 6 (22:16):
This is our thing.

Speaker 3 (22:17):
We we we gave Trey Turner a standing ovation. Next thing,
you know, we're in the World series like blah blah blah,
oh this other crap. And I was like, yo, dude, like,
who cares? Like, first off, somebody's actually doing something good
that came out of Philly.

Speaker 6 (22:31):
That's number one. Number two, do.

Speaker 3 (22:34):
You know who the first ever mascot was?

Speaker 4 (22:36):
For?

Speaker 1 (22:36):
Who? The world? No, mister man, I'd had the fact
check that.

Speaker 6 (22:42):
Yeah, you can fact check that.

Speaker 1 (22:44):
I'm an a fact check all right now. I don't want,
at the.

Speaker 3 (22:46):
Very least the first MLB mascot. And then we gotta
wrap up after this.

Speaker 1 (22:52):
Oh my god, he's right, Oh my god.

Speaker 4 (22:55):
York Mister meg is generally considered the first m l
BE mask right, appearing in nineteen sixty three, is a
cartoon drawing and then a costume mascot in sixty.

Speaker 1 (23:07):
Four, when the Mets moved to which stadium, Mike.

Speaker 3 (23:10):
The Polo Grounds to Shay stadiums Stadium.

Speaker 1 (23:15):
I don't know how I feel about that.

Speaker 3 (23:16):
And that's it, ladies and gentlemen, Your green little furry
dude does not exist if the New York Mets didn't
create a mascot.

Speaker 4 (23:26):
So well, imagine what what was the pitch for the
first mascot? I see this cartoon costume.

Speaker 3 (23:32):
Yeah, my favorite thing forever, and I know we covered
it on the first ever Divide Ever, but the Yankees
want to be mascot. That was the guy that died
in the plane crash. Your dad loves Thurman Thurman Monson. Yeah,
I couldn't remember right now.

Speaker 1 (23:47):
Big Yeah.

Speaker 3 (23:48):
They're like, we'll give him the mustache Thurman and the
body of a testicles. Just ridiculous.

Speaker 4 (23:57):
It was ridiculous, so terrible. Literally looks like a Panas
with a stash Man.

Speaker 1 (24:02):
It's wild. I don't know what the Yankees with.

Speaker 4 (24:06):
It'd be fun for the Yankees to come up, like now,
come up with a mascot.

Speaker 1 (24:10):
I'd be like that.

Speaker 4 (24:11):
That could be an interactive social media experience where it's like, hey,
we're voting on mascots.

Speaker 1 (24:16):
Are like, hey, you can.

Speaker 4 (24:17):
I bet you can literally go to chat, GPT or
some sort of AI to create a mascot for the Yankees.
Let's see most realistic art generator for aias.

Speaker 1 (24:38):
We'll get it. We'll get it, we'll get it.
