(00:03):
what a praise party. I am Sherry Mackie at his time,
right now for today's word. Convicted by love. John sixteen
and eight says, and he, when he comes, will convict
the world about the guilt of sin and the need

(00:24):
for savior, and about righteousness and about judgment. The word convict,
in its various forms such as convicted and conviction, can
be used in a negative sense, such as in a
trial when someone is convicted of a crime. They can
also be positive, though, such as when they describe a

(00:46):
person of strong moral convictions, meaning strong moral principles or beliefs. Well.
In Biblical terms, the word conviction is used in connection
with the ministry of the Holy He convicts us of sin,
not so we feel terrible about what we've done when

(01:06):
we fall short of God's standard, but so that we
can repent and experience God's grace find freedom. See he
convicts us because He loves us. Feeling convicted is not
the same as feeling condemnation or condemned. When you feel
the conviction of the Holy Spirit, you know you've done

(01:27):
something that's not pleasing to God. But you also know
that God loves you and that you are certain to
be forgiven when you confess your sins. See, when people
feel condemned, they feel a burden of guilt that they
cannot seem to escape, and they feel hopeless. Condemnation is
from the enemy, But conviction is a gift, y'all. It's

(01:50):
a gift from the Holy Spirit and at least to
forgiveness and freedom. You See, Jesus died to give us
freedom from sin and says in his words that if
we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to
forgive us and clans us of all on righteousness. He
convicts us because he loves us too much to leave

(02:13):
us in our sin. Father, thank you for sending the
Holy Spirit help us to yield to his conviction so
we can enjoy your forgiveness, your freedom, and all that
your love has to offer. In Jesus name, that's your
word for today. Take that apply to your everyday life,

(02:34):
and you continue to be encouraged and inspired. It's your
early morning praise party. I am Sherry Mackie
