Speaker 1 (00:00):
Nobody does it like your early body praise party. I
am sharing, Mackie, and it's time right now for today's word.
Your destiny is not tied to what you lost, The
word of the Lord says in First Samuel sixteen and one,
the Lord said to Samuel, how long will you mourn

(00:22):
for Saul since I've rejected him as king over Israel.
Fill your horn with oil and be on your way.
I'm sending you to Jesse of Bethlehem. I have chosen
one of his sons to be king. God had told
Samuel to annoy Saul to be the first king of Israel. Oh,

(00:44):
I can see Samuel taking Saul, who wasn't trained in leadership.
He took him under his wings. He was encouraging him,
He was sharing good advice and counsel with him. He
wanted to see him succeed so badly, will y'all start?
Saul started to fall off, but over time he started compromising.

(01:10):
He lost the kingdom. God told Samuel, I regret that
I ever made Saul king. Whoo for you to do
something so awful that God regrets a decision he made
to promote and bless you. Samuel got so discouraged by
what didn't work out, wondering why Saul didn't just do

(01:31):
better that God finally told Samuel that he had more
long enough over what was lost. The nation's destiny lies
ahead in the next choice. David, who became the greatest
king who ever lived, was the next choice. Just like Samuel,

(01:53):
you may have done your very best, invested in something,
invested in someone giving you a heart of your soul,
but you didn't get the promotion, the relationship didn't work out,
or the business didn't succeed. I know, I know it
wasn't fair, it wasn't your fault. But your destiny is
not in what you lost. It's in what you have left.

(02:18):
If you stop mourning your loss, you'll come into something greater,
something better, something more fulfilling than you ever imagined. Your
destiny is not in what was lost, but what God
has in store for your future. Oh Father God, thank
you for new dreams, for new relationships, for new beginnings

(02:42):
and new seasons. Thank you that after a season of
disappointments and mourning over the souls of our lives, so
to speak, you already have a David lined up for us. God,
we look forward to something greater and more fulfilling than
we ever imagined. And Jesus now that's your word for today.
I want you to take that apply to your everyday

(03:04):
life and you continue to be encouraged and inspired. It's
early wedding praise party. I am Sherry Mackey
