Today's Word 04-24-25: What are You Expecting?

Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's your early bring praise party. I am Sherry Mackie
at his time. For today's word, what are you expecting?
James Won five through seven says, if any of you
lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to
all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.

(00:22):
But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt,
because the one who doubt is like a wave of
the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person
should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
You know, today's scripture is talking about wisdom, But the
principle is that when you ask God for something, be
sure you really expect him to answer.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
You know, sometimes we go to God with hopeing and
a praying and a wish that something's gonna happen. No,
you got to know the word of God. You got
to know that his promises are in his word. You've
got to know that He watches after his word to
perform it in our lives. How about going to God
with confidence knowing that when you ask in faith, he

will answer you. It says, God.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
Will gladly give you wisdom.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
He's our daddy God, and he loves for us to
come to him, y'all. He's longing to be good to us.
That's what the word says. But if you're going to
see the good things happen, you got to come to
him expecting him to answer. And when you ask, believe
that you receive it by faith. Believe that it's already done.

(01:38):
So what are you expecting. You've got to make up
your mind. Are you going to believe what God has
promised you? Or are you going to let doubt, negative
voices or other opinions convince you that it's not gonna happen.
You can't get well, you're never gonna break the addiction,
you'll never be successful. No, the devil is a liar.

(01:58):
Do yourself a favor in tune all that out. Don't
let doubt keep you from your destiny. Have an unwavering mind.
Change what you're expecting. I expect healing, I expect favor,
I expect good things. I expect God's goodness to happen
in my life.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
I expect God promises to.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
Come to pass. Oh Father, God, thank you for the
expectancy rising in our hearts today that you have good
things in store for us. Thank you that our hopes
and our dreams can be in you and you alone. God.
We believe and we declare that doubt is not going
to keep us from what you have in store for us.

(02:39):
Oh God, we thank you in advance, and we have
great expectation.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
In Jesus' name.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
That's your word for today. I want you to take that,
apply that to your everyday life and you continue to
be encouraged and inspired ed your early body praise party.
