Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello, Hello, I have someone that has returned from my life.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
It's Lee from Where.
Speaker 3 (00:07):
From Live from the Bowling Alley, The Bowling Alley.
Speaker 1 (00:10):
We're in Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, and we're at the Craft House,
so over there is where the venue is. But it's
gonna be very loud with locals and stuff opening, so
we're okay.
Speaker 4 (00:19):
What you know, what's crazy to think about though, is
that we picked a bowling alley, which normally is pretty
loud too, so it's crazier that the venue's louder than
the bowling alley behind us.
Speaker 2 (00:28):
So you're on tour. Tell me about the tour.
Speaker 4 (00:30):
It's been incredible. So since I saw you about what
a month ago? Yeah, right, we were technically on tour
then yep, we were home for like five days and
then we went out again and we traveled all the
way across the country to do after Shock festival.
Speaker 3 (00:44):
And we did after Shock.
Speaker 4 (00:45):
And we got to see Slayer, Oh you did, yes,
which I heard that. You know, I know that's a
very sore subject, but but you know, we actually got
to see them, you know, the West coast got to
see them, so that's great.
Speaker 3 (00:58):
That was cool.
Speaker 4 (00:59):
I got to see Ice okay on Saint clam Posse,
lots of faygo everywhere.
Speaker 3 (01:04):
I bet that was pretty crazy.
Speaker 2 (01:06):
That was the weather there a lot better than Kentucky.
Speaker 3 (01:08):
Bro so good. It was so good. And the way
that they have that festival too, is it's so shaded.
It's like kind of in it.
Speaker 4 (01:15):
It's like in a park where like there's just trees everywhere.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
Yep.
Speaker 4 (01:19):
So, and it's just so nice. Next year, you gotta go.
I'm you gotta go. I'm trying, you gotta go. I'm
saying it right now. After shock, your boy's going, I'm
gonna try.
Speaker 2 (01:32):
I appreciate it.
Speaker 1 (01:32):
So you were home for five days and I bet
that felt like five minutes. Yes, tell me about this
tour now you're with not enough space.
Speaker 4 (01:39):
Not enough space. So it's actually two tours put together.
So we have we've got about like twelve shows. We've
only got I think two of them left or yeah,
two left with that Mongolian band of who Okay, so yep,
we sound nothing like them, but we are very theatrical, right,
and so they so a lot of their fans like
really dig us and by versa. And it's it's crazy
(02:01):
because I didn't know what to expect, but all their
fans were so cool.
Speaker 3 (02:05):
The band's so cool.
Speaker 4 (02:07):
So they just sound so wild, you know, and I
unfortunately don't know anything that they're saying on stage because
it's all in you know, completely different language. But I
love the songs, so they're pretty cool.
Speaker 3 (02:20):
You know.
Speaker 4 (02:20):
It's like listening to K Popper, you know, Jay Rock
or something. Sometimes you're like, I have no idea what
this song means, but I feel.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
You or I don't know. Do you use Spotify? I
do so, do you use the DJ?
Speaker 3 (02:32):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (02:32):
So my DJ sometimes is real good.
Speaker 3 (02:34):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (02:34):
He's like, listen, keV, I know you've been into here's
what I got for you, a little bit more of
what you like, some stuff you've never heard of, and
I'm like, my man, okay. Then on a whim he's like,
I got some upbeat country for you, followed by slow
folk music okay, followed by it's just like I love that.
Speaker 2 (02:56):
Who are you?
Speaker 3 (02:57):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (02:58):
So not saying that is the who.
Speaker 4 (03:00):
Here, it's but it's very that's our thing, right, yes, so,
and I think with us though, we want to just
tour with everyone. Yeah, right, So I just want to
be there, and that's kind of what we're doing, you know,
and we're just taking everything that we can do and
we just want to be on tour. We want to play,
do as many different people as we can and do
that kind of stuff. So taking the Who tour, we're like,
let's just do it. It's gonna be great. And it's been
(03:21):
great those shows. But then so we decided to put
in our own tour dates and I asked Not Enough
Space to come along with us.
Speaker 3 (03:29):
And if you don't know about them, they are like.
Speaker 2 (03:31):
A the next best band. They're incredible.
Speaker 4 (03:34):
There's so much fun, they're cute, they're fun. I've known them,
so it's crazy. We played a show with them in
twenty twenty two. They were the opening local band one
of our first shows back from COVID. We played in Orlando,
where they're from, and they opened. And it's funny because
Anthony from Dark Divine that band, right, that's just yeah.
Speaker 2 (03:56):
I talked to them at inc Yeah.
Speaker 4 (03:57):
I'll kill there you go, and so they or Anthony
was originally in Not Enough Space, so that's when I
met Anthony, So throwing that in there too. There's four
shows on this tour that we invited Dark to find
to play as well, So it's like a little family reunion.
Speaker 3 (04:14):
It's fun.
Speaker 4 (04:15):
So I just wanted to keep people that we know
and people that we love and have just a good time.
So because that's listen, at the end of the day,
that's all I care about. I just want to not
just for us when I want the fans, I want
the kids to have just a good time.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
And I knew not enough space would be fun and
something different.
Speaker 1 (04:31):
So, so, how many dates you got left after today?
Speaker 3 (04:34):
I think we have like ten?
Speaker 1 (04:35):
Ten, okay, and then after the tour ends, what kind
of happens next?
Speaker 3 (04:39):
Sleep?
Speaker 2 (04:40):
What is that?
Speaker 3 (04:41):
I don't know. I don't know what it's like.
Speaker 2 (04:43):
You see the bags under my eyes?
Speaker 3 (04:45):
Yeah, I don't know either. It's crazy because I think.
Speaker 4 (04:47):
We've we've been NonStop basically since like March.
Speaker 3 (04:52):
I mean not joking, like so we did.
Speaker 4 (04:54):
We did like a month and a half long tour
in like March April, and then we went out in
May June.
Speaker 3 (05:02):
I think we're home July. Yeah, maybe not.
Speaker 4 (05:05):
Ye know, we were home and we're home for like
a month, and then we did the Fifinger tour yep,
and then home for two weeks. But we had louder
than life in there and then after Shock and then
the other you know, so then they're now doing the
now doing this tour, so it's like, I honestly don't
know what it's like. And then we just announced a
(05:25):
new tour today.
Speaker 3 (05:26):
I don't know if you saw that. Okay, So yeah,
so today we're home for two minutes.
Speaker 4 (05:31):
Two months, we're home for two months, and right after
that we go with Catch Your Breath.
Speaker 3 (05:36):
So that's gonna be fun.
Speaker 2 (05:38):
It's okay, Okay, yes, now I know.
Speaker 4 (05:40):
Yes, So we're doing a Catcher Breath tour, so they're
they're finally doing a headliner and we are going to
be direct support for them on that tour.
Speaker 3 (05:46):
So that's gonna be fun.
Speaker 4 (05:48):
And then right after that tour we have something else
but I can't talk about that one, not yet, but
that's gonna be fun. So next year we're not gonna
be home at all either, like even more than we
weren't home this year.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
So so you knocked a lot up crazy stuff out
this year.
Speaker 1 (06:01):
Yeah, I mean a lot of life after Shock, five
Finger tour, a lot of music, a lot of not sleeping.
Speaker 3 (06:06):
Yep.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
What gold you have going in the twenty twenty five,
you personally.
Speaker 3 (06:10):
Double it down, you know.
Speaker 4 (06:11):
No, No, I think I think the thing is is,
of course I want to play the shows, and I
want to I want to go on tour. But I
think what we really want to focus on is bringing
the show bigger, Okay, right, So I think that's our
next step is to bring more of the world of
what Stuffcase City is and all that, bring it to
life more, make it more theatrical, you know, if we
(06:32):
can do more production.
Speaker 3 (06:34):
You know, we have this big.
Speaker 4 (06:35):
Hometown show at the end of this tour and it's
about to sell out, which ever kind of funny. I'm
going to go on for a little tangent here, But
so our agent when he was filling these shows, because
it kind of went a little bit last minute. Which
is kind of the crazy thing too, is this tour.
I didn't even have all the dates for this tour
when I talk to you, which was like a month ago.
So this tour got announced like a month ago, and
(06:56):
with that it was crazy because the Atlanta show, our
agent was like, well, the only room available in Atlanta
is the six hundred and fifty cap venue at the
Mass Grade and it's called Hell by the way. So
the mess grade has a bunch of different They have
four stages. One's called Purgatory, which is the smallest, and
then they have well, yes, okay, technically it is four.
(07:19):
So it's Altar, which is like really cool. It's a
two hundred cap room, but they serve food there. It's
kind of more bar atmosphere.
Speaker 2 (07:25):
This is in one building.
Speaker 3 (07:26):
One building broke, but kind of.
Speaker 4 (07:28):
It has a courtyard, so it's like a courtyard with
different like rooms. It's so cool, okay, and it's got it.
I love this venue. I grew up going to this venue.
It's it's legendary. It's so much fun in Atlanta. You
gotta make it one day, one day. So if I
had the money, I have to buy you out for
this show because there'd be so much interest.
Speaker 3 (07:45):
It's paint the picture, okay. You walk into the courtyard.
Speaker 4 (07:48):
They got this one room over here, it's called Altar, right,
it's like two hundred cap club sick. And then there's
there's Purgatory, which is like the three hundred cap venue,
and then you have Hell, which is six fifty, and
then you have which is the thousand, five hundred right
on thy four hundred cap room, and we did Heaven
in January with issues, they had their two farewell shows
(08:09):
and we opened both of those shows.
Speaker 2 (08:11):
That's where I'm recognizing this from yes.
Speaker 3 (08:13):
So yes So.
Speaker 4 (08:13):
We were the opening man for their last two shows
in Atlanta, which was crazy because I knew about the
Michael Bond reunion when him coming up on stage that
morning he comes, he literally texts me and he says,
I'm knocking on your door. And I say what And
I hear knock, knock, knock on the van door and
it's literally Michael Pon.
Speaker 3 (08:32):
He's like, I'm like you mother, that's I was so pissed.
Speaker 4 (08:37):
So but so yeah, I remember that was all fun
and and crazy, but we just but our agent going
back to it said the only room available is hell
six hundred and fifty. I'm like, oh man, there's no
way we're going to sell any I thought we would
sell one hundred and fifty tw hundred tickets right tops tops,
because that's what this whole tour has been doing extremely well,
especially being last minute. Yeah, some of these shows have
(08:59):
been selling out its grace, like Tonight's over three hundred tickets.
Speaker 3 (09:01):
I'm like what that line was? So it was weird, right,
it's weird.
Speaker 4 (09:05):
So I'm like, okay, first day we get the we
get this sheet and it's like two hundred and fifty
tickets sold and I'm like, oh no.
Speaker 3 (09:12):
I'm like, this is a thing.
Speaker 4 (09:13):
So and then it and then it turned and then
it turned into a whole nother thing. And then we
were like, okay, so let's bake this the craziest show
we can. So we're doing full production. We've got very
like we got some special effects like with lighting and
other things. And then we have all of our icons,
which are our characters that we created for our record.
(09:33):
We have all them returning and they're gonna come out
on stage. And then after the show, we're doing a
free meet and greet with everybody and they can meet
the icons, and we're gonna have a little photo boost
set up and it's gonna be super fun. That sounds awesome,
and it's about to sell out. So and I was like,
I don't know what to do with my life. So
I've never you know, I don't know, I don't know.
(09:54):
It's crazy. It sounds crazy, but it sounds crazy fun. Yes,
So I'm excited for you.
Speaker 1 (10:00):
One question I could think of is you're doing this tour,
you have all this stuff going on.
Speaker 2 (10:04):
Twenty twenty four. What runs through Lee's mind the second
you get off stage.
Speaker 4 (10:08):
See, I don't have much time, and you'll see to night,
I don't have much time because I literally go right
from the stage to merch to go meet everyone.
Speaker 3 (10:16):
Okay, I literally like wipe.
Speaker 4 (10:17):
My face, throw my in ears down, my mic, my
pack down, I wipe my face, and I just go
right okay, But after it's quiet, let's put it that way, right, like,
like once the merch is being packed up, there's still
not much time to think because it's okay, let's go
into the.
Speaker 3 (10:32):
RV, let's go to bed, let's go woomba boom. Right.
It's just some exhausted but most of it is.
Speaker 4 (10:38):
I think very how grateful I am that I get
to do this and that it is growing past the
our normal fifteen kid tonight.
Speaker 3 (10:45):
Right Like for.
Speaker 4 (10:46):
Many many years we would play venues like this and
there'll be fifteen people there, you know what I mean.
Speaker 3 (10:52):
Every band's gonna go through exactly, and I think, for.
Speaker 4 (10:54):
Me, now this is actually happening, and it's like, okay,
this is actually happening now, you know, and it's a
slow build and it's still growing, you know, and we'll
see what happens next. And I'm just I always kind
of one of those moments before I go to bed,
I think, like I just I just think myself. I
think all the boys, I think everybody in my brain
(11:15):
just thank you for staying and getting.
Speaker 3 (11:17):
Through all the hardships.
Speaker 4 (11:18):
And I think the fans or coffin crew what we
call a coffee crew, like just to say thank you,
you know. And it's wild because sometimes I you know,
I have I talk about it a good bit on
social media. I have OCD, so like I have these
like really horrible, repetitive thoughts right over.
Speaker 3 (11:33):
And over and over again, very.
Speaker 4 (11:35):
Weird, horrible ones a lot of times, which sucks. Right,
So that happens a lot, especially at nighttime, right and
on tour it happens when we have a little bit
too much downtime and I'm not as busy. So like
I make sure that I am busy all the time,
and that just helps me be normal. Like that just
(11:56):
helps me be me is by having like stuff to do,
so I purposely make myself busy.
Speaker 2 (12:03):
I'm that way too.
Speaker 1 (12:04):
I have so many jobs and I wish you could
see my desk at all of them, especially today, because
I was like, all right, no camera guy, Missy Tyler,
no camera guys.
Speaker 3 (12:13):
It's just me.
Speaker 4 (12:14):
No, he's good. Oh he's just busy. Okay, good, he's
busy too. I'm glad you didn't die. I liked you
were really nice.
Speaker 1 (12:19):
So d I y gotta pack everything, going to make
sure I packed everything, and that's all for I go
to work.
Speaker 2 (12:24):
Then I can't go home before I come here. I
gotta get straight here, which is fine.
Speaker 3 (12:28):
How long was the drive so realistically hour fifteen?
Speaker 1 (12:33):
I mean, it wasn't the worst thing ever, but it's
like if I'm halfway here and I'm like, oh my god,
I forgot, like.
Speaker 2 (12:37):
It's it's it's over.
Speaker 3 (12:38):
You got to go.
Speaker 2 (12:38):
The microphones are going on. It's not the case. We
got Lee here, we got Mike le Lee again.
Speaker 3 (12:45):
I know.
Speaker 2 (12:45):
Any final things you want to say.
Speaker 3 (12:46):
To people, well, when do you get to go to BUCkies?
Speaker 1 (12:49):
Someone in one of our in the video that I posted,
someone said there's no BUCkies in Virginia or it's not
opening until X State.
Speaker 4 (12:56):
Okay, I think they're building one, so okay, so I
have this idea of it one day. Okay, maybe next
year we get you to come down to Atlanta and
maybe you can like host the show or something, and
on your way down.
Speaker 3 (13:11):
You definitely hit one deal.
Speaker 2 (13:13):
So that sounds good to me. Hey, pleasure as always,
Thank you, yes, sir.
Speaker 3 (13:17):
Real, and let's go bowling. I guess let's go bowling.
Speaker 2 (13:21):
Yeah, we'll see you next time.
