the coming. It's a pill, You take it and then

be custom and you could have any flavor you want.

Speaker 6 (03:27):
That's real.

midnight if you're staying up late with ninety three point
one WPOC Michael J. Bethany, I love your idea that
we're doing this week with you know, saluting organizations that
are inspired or run by moms.

Speaker 1 (04:49):
Yeah, so it's charities that are either founded by moms
or to help to benefit moms. And we've been picking
a different one every weekday.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
This is a good one too, Laura us about your foundation.

Speaker 7 (05:01):
Sure, So, the Lea Marie Firm Foundation we also call
it LMFF because it's easier, was founded in twenty and
eighteen after the sudden passing of my daughter Leah due
to complications of CF. And Leah was a very much
social advocate and very much had a huge platform that

(05:23):
dealt with with advocacy and patient awareness related to CF
CF statistic fibrosis. And what it is is a chronic
genetic inherent illness.

Speaker 4 (05:33):
Okay that has no cure.

Speaker 7 (05:35):
However, there's been tremendous amount of research done to prolong
the lives of these chronically ill children. But it basically
affects the digestive and the respiratory system. I mean that's
a very simplistic description because it's a very complicated.

Speaker 2 (05:50):
Right, all right, So Bethany, how can we help and
you know, get some support going for her?

Speaker 1 (05:54):
So I'm posting on the on our Instagram right now,
so you can check that out. Plus you can go
to Lia Marie's Throne Foundation They help kids with cystic fibrosis,
but also other chronic illnesses. They have grants and scholarships
and that kind of stuff, so it's it's a cool foundation.

hot seat? All right, Julie is ready, Bethany, she wants
to get hot with us, a chance to see Ty Myers.
Let's go, all right.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
Three questions, three seconds to answer each. Are we buzzy you?
And we hang up on you?

Speaker 6 (06:56):
Julie?

Speaker 1 (06:58):
Question number one, If you were a dessert, which dessert
would you be?

Speaker 2 (07:03):
I'll bring it Julie.

Speaker 4 (07:04):
Oh god, I would be a chocolatey clayer.

Speaker 9 (07:07):
Oh baby, Oh my god.

Speaker 2 (07:11):
I'm going with Julie. Where do you live? I'm coming
right over. That's not that's not a question for the
hot seat. That was you keep going?

Speaker 6 (07:23):
Question number two?

Speaker 1 (07:24):
Are you keeping a very big secret from anyone right now?

Speaker 4 (07:28):
Hmmm?

Speaker 2 (07:29):
No, indeed, okay, all right, I don't hear any light
detectors going.

Speaker 4 (07:34):
Off secret, no secrets.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
Confident, okay, go ahead.

Speaker 6 (07:40):
Question number three, have you ever had a one night stand?

Speaker 2 (07:46):
Never? Never.

Speaker 10 (07:47):
I've been married forty years.

Speaker 2 (07:50):
I got two night stands. As a matter of fact,
you've got You've got Todd Myers. You're going to the show.

Speaker 4 (08:00):
You ninety three point one w POC traffic.

Speaker 6 (08:09):
You're not the line.

Speaker 2 (08:13):
Yeah, I'll walk right out the fire. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (08:18):
You try to keep me down, trying to pum me underground.

Speaker 2 (08:22):
Don I'm only going.

Speaker 4 (08:26):
I can hear you in my head and my baeling.

Speaker 10 (08:29):
I'm dreaming.

Speaker 4 (08:30):
You're trying to my dream.

Speaker 10 (08:33):
You're blown.

Speaker 4 (08:35):
Holy wine.

Speaker 2 (08:37):
Scared of telling you where.

Speaker 10 (08:39):
You can go.

Speaker 7 (08:41):
I know you're not.

Speaker 4 (08:46):
Ninety three point one w p O C no truy.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
Actually, what's going on at under Armours?

Speaker 1 (08:53):
So under Armour is among other shoe companies that are
asking for tariff forgive me, okay, because it's impacting their
profit mind.

Speaker 2 (09:05):
Leisure wear whatever, This sportsquare is coming from that part
of the world, I know.

Speaker 6 (09:10):
So they're asking for you know, for forgiving. It happened
for the car companies. Now the shoe companies are trying
to get together to ask for that.

Speaker 2 (09:17):
Also, Hey, if you are planning to go to a park, yeah,
we have a lot of beautiful spots for beaches and parks.
Do you realize that back in twenty ten through twenty nineteen,
for that nine year period, ten million people went to
the parks in Maryland. In just the last four years,
twenty million really quadrupled in volume.

Speaker 6 (09:41):
And that's cool, that's neat.

Speaker 2 (09:42):
Well, it's good, But the problem is the parks are
becoming overcrowded. So the Maryland Department of Natural Resources announced
this week they are issuing a new day use reservation system.
It's going to launch at the parks on May nineteen. Means,
so if you haven't gotten your park past or even

(10:03):
if you have, you're gonna need to make an actual
reservation for the day that you plan on going to
the park. If you just show up, sounds like they're
gonna turn you away.

Speaker 4 (10:14):
Well, I guess that.

Speaker 1 (10:16):
Helps with you know, having it be too crowded. Yeah,
but you got to think ahead a lot. I go
to the park all the time.

Speaker 2 (10:22):
The various parks rid on the water and all of them,
so from Sandy Point to Greenbrier, all of them. H
you're gonna have to plan.

Speaker 6 (10:28):
Ahead, okay.

Speaker 2 (10:29):
And we're celebrating teachers this week.

Speaker 1 (10:32):
Yeah, it's Teacher Appreciation Week and nurse Appreciation Week and
we appreciate you all. All right, So I have the
Baltimore City, Baltimore County, and Inarundal County Teachers of the
Year here.

Speaker 2 (10:41):
Let's do it.

Speaker 1 (10:42):
Brittany Jacobowski all right from Caytonsville Middle School.

Speaker 2 (10:46):
Yes, let's here for is Baltimore.

Speaker 1 (10:48):
County Teacher of the Year, all right, Jevins lou from
the Academy for College and Career to Exploration, right, Baltimore
City School. And Jacqueline Sanderson from Belgrove Elementary Anna Rundel County.

Speaker 2 (11:01):
Teacher of the Year. Wait to go, guys, and thanks
to teachers everywhere.

Speaker 4 (11:05):
Ninety three point one WPOC.

Speaker 1 (11:08):
Traffic, Oh no, an accident with fluids leaking on Painter's
Mill Road and McDonough Road.

Speaker 2 (11:20):
Ninety three point one WPOC. I want to find out
who won those concert tickets? Number seven? We're taking nine.
Try back, all right, Let's let me get up to
the ninth caller and I think she's right here.

Speaker 4 (11:32):
Hello.

Speaker 2 (11:33):
Ninety three point one wdpoc Haley, you're gonna be very
happy to hear the news. You're going to see Parker
McCollum at Pier six Pavilion. Let's do it for whoo.

Speaker 5 (11:46):
All right, that's Michael J's Music City Minute in sixty seconds.

Speaker 4 (11:50):
If you gon't know, like you own music.

Speaker 2 (11:52):
Road, well, it's ACM day, guys. Yeah, the big award show.
This is one of the two biggest award shows in
country music. In my humble opinion, I love the CMA's,
but the ACM's man Nay Rock Tonight from Frisco, Texas.
All the big stars are there. It'll be streamed live
on Amazon Prime Video, and again this year, you do

(12:16):
not have to have an Amazon Prime membership to watch
the live stream.

Speaker 6 (12:21):
Best Okay, that's good, but you do have to have.

Speaker 2 (12:24):
I guess a smart TV, you know, or you can
rush on your phone. So Luke Combs, we talked about
this a couple of weeks ago. He just had a
Rockin' twenty twenty four figure he sold one hundred and
seventy five million dollars in concert tickets. So this year
one of the biggest stars in country music, arguably Luke

(12:45):
Combs says he will not be doing his headlining tour. However,
what he is doing is around twenty festival dates, including
Country Calling. He said the reason he's doing this is
he wants to be a good dad to his two
young boys, and he's gonna stay home as much as
he can.

Speaker 1 (13:03):
I also think it's a good idea to give your
fans a break too, because then they anticipate your next move,
you know, like even like Taylor Swift does that, Like
she'll go on a tour, release an album, and then
take a break, and then everyone's like clamoring for the
next one exactly.

Speaker 2 (13:19):
Now, this is big news. Tomorrow we are going to
have an iHeart Country World premiere Meghan Morony and Kenny Chesney.
And you want to hear a snippet. I know because
I can't wait to hear it either. I think Meghan

(13:42):
Moroney's gonna have a really big night on the ACM Awards.

Speaker 4 (13:45):
Too, I hope so.

Speaker 1 (13:47):
So.

Speaker 2 (13:47):
I don't know if they're performing this song tonight, I
wouldn't it be surprised.

Speaker 4 (13:50):
It'd be fine.

Speaker 2 (13:50):
Yeah, if you don't see them, but you'll hear it tomorrow.
And we're gonna be the first to play it for
you in the morning ninety.

Speaker 4 (13:57):
Three point one WPOC traffic an accident on this.

Speaker 2 (14:12):
Hey, Mother's Day is on my mind this morning. Are
you thinking about it? Yeah?

Speaker 6 (14:16):
I got to order my mom's some flowers.

Speaker 2 (14:18):
It's Sunday. It'll be here before you know it. So
we are offering you the chance to earn the Michael J.
And Bethany Mother's Day Gift Seal of Approval. Yeah, all right,
So here's the here's the deal. Bethany has a list
of now who came up with the ten worst mother.

Speaker 1 (14:37):
This is a survey from real life moms. Okay, okay,
so this is like actual moms according to science, what
do they the worst gifts they've ever gotten.

Speaker 6 (14:48):
I've got the list of the top ten.

Speaker 1 (14:50):
Here's what you're gonna call eight hundred three two six
ninety three and tell us what you're giving mom for
Mother's Day and we'll see if it's on the list.

Speaker 2 (14:58):
Let me ask you a question. It is throw back Thursday.
Does it apply to mister moms? What do you think
just moms are mister moms? I think for this for
this scenario can then be included. Not today, Well, we
can do it for a throwback A ninety three point
one WPOC. Now, to be honest, we're thinking about moms

(15:24):
this morning because Mother's Day is Sunday, ninety three point
one WPOC. We want to know if your gift makes
the good list, and we'll give you the seal of approval.
What's your name?

Speaker 7 (15:33):
Hi?

Speaker 10 (15:33):
This summer?

Speaker 11 (15:34):
How are you good?

Speaker 2 (15:35):
I love summer. I was born in summer.

Speaker 10 (15:39):
I love that.

Speaker 2 (15:41):
We want to give you the seal of approval. Make
sure you're not on the top ten worst gift ideas.
What are you thinking?

Speaker 11 (15:46):
Ah, I'm not so. I just had my second son
last year, and I'm giving my mom a number one
to pop up flower bouquet card because she's fled and
she can't see r cards, so that way she can
feel it too. Yes, and I'm also giving her a

(16:09):
art print of my son's first year to go with
my first son's art print of his first year. So
hopefully art prints of picture collages of art auto list.

Speaker 6 (16:21):
I think that we're giving you the seal of.

Speaker 11 (16:26):
Yes, thank you.

Speaker 2 (16:28):
Has your mom been blind her whole life?

Speaker 8 (16:31):
No?

Speaker 10 (16:32):
Actually, she has a DIDNORATIVI disease, so she started going
blind at nine and then when legally blind at fourteen
and has been losing her sight ever since.

Speaker 2 (16:43):
So does she say she's completely blind now or does
she still see light or what?

Speaker 7 (16:48):
Now?

Speaker 11 (16:49):
She doesn't see as much light, but she can still
see a little bit of light.

Speaker 7 (16:52):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (16:52):
Wow, that's sad. I know if it were my mom, though,
I couldn't help myself and being mom, I got you
a new car. Her mother's the.

Speaker 11 (17:03):
Well, you know what, I wish I could say that
and be sorry on and she's been a wanting want
to be a driverless car. Of course now they're though
starting to come out with it so that you can
go places by yourself. But but yeah, but you know what,
she doesn't see it as a disability. She is inspirational.
She does yoga, Ricky, she is the best.

Speaker 2 (17:27):
Okay, she's great a summer. You're awesome.

Speaker 4 (17:31):
You're nailing it.

Speaker 2 (17:31):
I hope you have a great day and your mom
is gonna love your gift.

Speaker 11 (17:34):
Thank you so much.

Speaker 2 (17:35):
We don't care you too. We're getting a lot of
really good text too, aren't we.

Speaker 6 (17:39):
Yeah we are.

Speaker 1 (17:40):
Someone said, I took my mom to the Metallica concert
last night in Blacksburg, and Sunday we're going to brunch
and a day on the boat. Then someone else said,
I got my wife a family photo shoot in the park,
a customized story book.

Speaker 6 (18:00):
She's the hero of every story. That's really cute.

Speaker 1 (18:03):
And then someone else said, it's my husband's he's overseas
and she has a two year old and a seven
week old and he's gonna hopefully send her flowers.

Speaker 2 (18:14):
Oh, that's really sweet.
