Speaker 2 (00:02):
Morning Show.

Speaker 5 (00:10):
I'm ninety three point one WPOC.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
Now, big day.

Speaker 6 (00:16):
Definitely a big day for a number of reasons. It
is so today is June the sixth. For older generations,
they remember it as D Day. Yes, it was a
day that was pivotal in World War Two. Really the
ending when the Allies and hundreds of thousands of soldiers

(00:38):
and sailors and everybody stormed the beach of Normandy, and
really that was the end of World War well, the
beginning of the end of World War Two. It's also
a big day, Bethany, because graduations.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
I remember.

Speaker 6 (00:51):
I think I graduated high school on the kind of
fourth or fifth of June.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
This is the week that.

Speaker 6 (00:56):
So many high schools graduate. I know Baltimore City School
are graduating today.

Speaker 3 (01:01):
Yeah, lots of Baltimore County schools all week. Yeah, it's
a big God. I get tingles every time I think
about graduating.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
I think it's just so it's such a turning point. Yeah,
it is.

Speaker 6 (01:14):
It's also like your last when you're coming out of
high school now for colleges that already had their commencement
and stuff, a lot of work at it. You know,
it's a whole different experience because you're thinking about going
into life now when you're graduating, Yeah, from high school.
I think you've got one last summer left. You are
not a kid anymore, and that's a big deal. And
for parents, you're not the parents of a kid anymore,

(01:36):
like you, I.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
Mean, you know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (01:37):
Yeah, they're definitely still there's kids, but like, it's you know,
you did it.

Speaker 6 (01:41):
Well, exciting exciting news for any family that's dealing with
the graduations and to everybody, yeah, that is awesome, congratulations
and uh then summer begins, right, it's like and life
begins exactly poc traffic because next thing you know, you're
in traffic on the way to work.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
Yes, right, and you've already spent your paycheck.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
All right, there's an accident in ninety seven northbound between
three oh one and exit seven. Looks like it's crawled.
It was shut down for a minute. Now it looks
like it's crawling. Looks like one.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
College and a college.

Speaker 6 (02:18):
Shit shit, anybody else thinking right now? That's one of
your favorite songs you've ever heard from Sam Hunt.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
Because I am it's not it's not my favorite song.
I'm digging it for some reason, but it is way
more mature. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (02:37):
Yeah, I keep us in the loop of entertainment and
pop culture and the things we shouldn't care about, but
somehow we really Do's Bethany Brief.

Speaker 4 (02:47):
On ninety three point one.

Speaker 6 (02:49):
If anybody ask you what your favorite moment on the
Michael J Morning Show.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
Is, I'm gonna say Bethany's brief is.

Speaker 6 (02:55):
This is where we find out what's doing with your
favorite stars and what's happening in biz.

Speaker 3 (03:02):
Well, I'm gonna kick it off strong, okay, with a
broken romance.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
Who's breaking up? Elan and Trump? Yeah, they had a
nasty SmackDown yesterday.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
Yeah, they're in the middle of a fallout and it's
getting ugly. H. The Dragon spacecraft is about to be decommissioned. Uh,
and the Epstein files are being revealed.

Speaker 6 (03:24):
So if you unpack all that, what this means is
NASA is in trouble because the Dragon was how they
were getting the astronauts to the space station. Right without it,
we had a guys, people sitting up there for like
a year.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
I think it's going to be interesting to see how
this shakes out.

Speaker 6 (03:41):
Well, what I hear is they're going to buddy up today.
They're going to get back together.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
Oh high romantic. I wonder if they'd like talked about it.
They're like, we think it's all staged.

Speaker 6 (03:50):
If we fight, we'll get a lot of publicity and
then we'll kiss and make up.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
Then we can make more money. Right, yeah, who knows?

Speaker 1 (03:57):
Okay, paramount is developing Nola King.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
Did you watch Tulsa King? No? I did?

Speaker 3 (04:02):
Not pretty popular show. So now they're gonna do Nolah King,
Tiger King? What Tulsa King?

Speaker 6 (04:07):
No?

Speaker 2 (04:07):
Oh you watched That's a whole different thing.

Speaker 3 (04:10):
New Orleans Samuel L. Jackson, Right, I love him. It's
probably gonna be pretty good. Okay, good, all right. Wisconsin
girl scout has set a new state record for the
most cookies sold.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
Her name is Molly.

Speaker 3 (04:21):
She sold Get this thirty five five ninety eight boxes.
How did she do it?

Speaker 2 (04:25):
It was over the course of thirteen years. Oh wow.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
Her family helped. They spent about seven hundred hours. They
got a megaphone. Cookers girls, it's outrageous.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
Have you ever like said, I'm gonna buy someone the
way out and then yeah, you didn't. That's rude. I
know it is.

Speaker 3 (04:44):
I wish try to buy him Patrick Henry or I'm sorry.
Derrick Henry and Dan Patrick have this deal going that
if Derrick Henry gets two thousand yards, Patrick Henry is
going to put him in an Adam Sandler movie.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
Oh wow, he's gonna do it. We're gonna have two
actors on the ravens. That's cool.

Speaker 3 (05:03):
Last year he had nineteen one hundred and twenty one
yards on the ground. There's a care Bears movie headed
to the big screen. I'm excited about that. I was
a care Bear kid. And lastly, CNN is gonna air
a commercial free broadcast of Good Night and good Luck
with George Clooney tomorrow night, seven o'clock.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
It's a Broadway telecast.

Speaker 4 (05:23):
Ninety three point one w POC traffic.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
Are you gonna watch tomorrow night?

Speaker 6 (05:30):
I'm just thinking, just because it's Saturday night, I'm probably
not watching.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
I don't watch TV on Saturday.

Speaker 1 (05:36):
Night, especially a live broadcast of a Broadway show.

Speaker 6 (05:38):
No, gold probably be something we heard. It's really good
testing out some adult beverages.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
I see.

Speaker 3 (05:43):
Okay, So there's an accident at ninety five to southbound
at one hundred two, right lanes are block. Things are
crawling back to eggs of forty seven on the outer
loop between Harvard Road and Perring Park, where there's an
accident with two right lanes blocked ninety seven northbound after
three oh one an accident there moved to the shoulder.
Things or stop and go on a.

Speaker 2 (06:03):
Ninety three point one poc.

Speaker 6 (06:08):
There's Riley Greeny just thinking about our Baltimore Orioles. They
are digging out of a huge hole. But the good
news is they are digging. Yeah, they have won six straight.
They've won six games in a row.

Speaker 4 (06:26):
What do you think coat?

Speaker 2 (06:28):
You think the coat is that? I just think that
things are starting to click. Here's what happened.

Speaker 6 (06:33):
Uh and over the last couple of days in Seattle,
we had man Adley is starting to smack it.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
There's something to be said for warmer weather. And I
don't know what.

Speaker 6 (06:43):
It was like in Seattle's first temperatures, but baseball players
tend to kind of heat up as the as the
summer heats off.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
They like it hot.

Speaker 6 (06:51):
Yeah, when it's cold, I'm telling you they're just a
lot of them don't do well early.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
God, the season is so long.

Speaker 6 (06:56):
It's one hundred and sixty plus sixty two games. So anyway,
they've won nine out of the last eleven. Yes, we're
still in last place. Yes, we're twelve games, twelve and
a half games behind the Yankees. But the Yankees lost
and it's just yesterday, so it's just a matter of
you know, you.

Speaker 2 (07:14):
Got to keep digging. If this were a movie, right,
they would turn it all the way around and win
the World Series. Well, that might happen. I mean, who knows.

Speaker 6 (07:22):
It's a long season, and the Orioles are starting to
get home runs. And for the first time of the
year this year, Adley and Gunner hit home runs back
to back in Seattle. So you know, we came off
a three momentum. Yeah, we came off a three game
sweep of the White Sox, one of the worst teams
in baseball. So you know, you're not playing the Yankees

(07:42):
when you're doing this. But at least we've won six
in a row. I say, let's go, let's go, let's go. Oh,
it's speaking of going Bethany. You know what time it is.

Speaker 2 (07:50):
It's hot sea time.

Speaker 6 (07:52):

Of the midge? Do you know about the midge?

Speaker 1 (11:21):
What's the midge?

Speaker 6 (11:21):
Well, I didn't know what these were, but you know,
like no seams, just basically there's little bugs that bite.

Speaker 2 (11:26):
You all for whatever reason. They're like little gnats, the tiny,
tiny and they're everywhere. Yeah, Ocean City they were attacking.
I was at, you know, at a restaurant at the beach.
There are millions. Is that what's in here? Yeah? Maybe
it probably is a midge.

has been a big story of methody.

Speaker 6 (12:13):
Is it just me?

Speaker 2 (12:14):
Or were they cleaning that up with paper towels? Well,
you know what they said. I saw a video and
I was like, are those paper towels?

Speaker 6 (12:19):
Yeah? And they they got these water trucks and they
sucked like tens of thousands of gallons of water out
of the inner Harbor because they're getting the sludge with
it and they're trying to clean it. And what happened was, ah,
some building that had a generator at Johns Hopkins Complex

(12:39):
Johns Hopkins University, and that not the university but the
care center, yeah, the hospital. It leaked somehow, somehow, and
somebody screwed up that was putting diesel fuel in a
tank for a generator at Hopkins. And they say they're
going to help clean it up, but that's a that's
a big mess.
