I Schools like the University of Maryland will be allowed
to pay athletes directly as a result of a settlement
ending three antitrust lawsuits against the NCAA, And it pays
the way for revenue sharing, which don't you think it's
about time?
Speaker 1 (00:47):
Yeah, they make a lot of money off of these athletes. Yeah,
they don't. Didn't get paid for a long time.
Speaker 3 (00:52):
And the ones that are stars while they're in college,
I mean, they're using their their success. It seems to
me they should get a slice of it.
Speaker 2 (01:02):
I just really want as this opens up, I would
like it to try to be a more equal playing field,
so to speak, because you know, they're still not going
to pay the female athletes nearly as.
Speaker 3 (01:13):
Much as they do, but maybe they will well, because
I mean it's going to come down to talent anyway.
Starting tomorrow, Division one schools can pay athletes up to
twenty point five million of the revenue their athletic departments generate.
Speaker 1 (01:27):
That's the kind of money that we're talking about. It's
a lot of money. Big deal. Hey, it's a sad anniversary. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:33):
Over the weekend it was the seven year anniversary of
the Capitol Gazette shooting, where five staff members at Capital
Gazette were murdered at work, and so over the weekend
they had a lot of tributes, which I thought were
really lovely.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
So we're thinking about all those families today. You know,
seven years is like a blip, and it just it
does seem like just yesterday. Yeah, it does.

You know they've been there for fifty years, really, and
they gave me a birthday T shirt. So I will
reveal that I'm not doing this in lieu of, you know,
of getting paid with a shirt, but.
Speaker 1 (02:48):
A shout out to Fager's Island. Well that's funny.
Speaker 2 (02:51):
Okay, good, I'm glad you had a nice vacation. Yes,
we were all thinking about you.

his prime? Seven seven nine six two begin your message?
Speaker 1 (03:09):
Who would play cal Ripken Junior in a movie?
Speaker 2 (03:12):
I think it would either be one of the Hemsworth brothers,
but I also think Rory Culkin could do it.
Speaker 3 (03:19):
Nah, I don't think I see the Hemsworth I see
that connection.
Speaker 5 (03:23):
Uh huh.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
And Michael Keaton's too old? Are you kidding that guy?
Can barely walk anymore.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
Well, let alone, swe can imagine him in Orioles jersey
swinging a back.
Speaker 1 (03:34):
Yeah, I don't know, Grandpa, Who do you think? Who
do you think could play cal Ripken Jr. That's the question.
Speaker 2 (03:39):
Yeah, textas seven seven nine six two. Begin your message
with there's not gonna be a movie. We're not saying
there's just in theory. If there were in theory, Yes,
all right. All the Hollywood stars were in Venice this
weekend for the Jeff Bezos, Lauren Sanchez wedding, Oprah, Tom Brady,
the Kardashians, Charlie Starron, Katie Kurz.
Speaker 3 (03:58):
I won't know how much they gave it. The wedding
we're talking about the A eight gift is two fifty.
Speaker 2 (04:02):
Orlando Bloom and Sidney Sweeney were spotted on a romantic
walk just days after it was confirmed that Orlando and
Katy Perry are not together anymore. David Beckham was pictured
in a hospital bed with his arm in a sling.
People were freaking out. Turns out it's an old soccer
injury that he just hasn't gotten around to getting fixed.
A Warren Buffet announced that he's gonna donate six billion dollars.
Speaker 1 (04:25):
Six billion dollars incredible over the next few years.
Speaker 2 (04:30):
He's trying to give away ninety nine point five percent
of his back.
Speaker 1 (04:33):
Hurry up a little bit, right, I don't know if
he's got I mean, how old is he? I think
he's eighty.
Speaker 3 (04:38):
Oh, Warren Buffett's way older than you. No, No, it's
like one hundred and eighty.
Speaker 1 (04:43):
He's one hundred and eighty. Let me see how old
I got to know this. How old is Warren? Is
this heavy of me? I'm just like ninety four. No,
he's not. Oh my god, he better hurry, That's what
I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (04:54):
Oh my god, he's Michael Katon could play him in
a movie.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
Season four of the Bear just came out.
Speaker 2 (05:01):
Everybody is like totally binging that. And in Fantastic News,
seventy percent of American people think you can't reach the
American dream anymore.
Speaker 1 (05:11):
Guys, it's you. You can't should be more like one hundred.
Speaker 2 (05:15):
Percent of people. All right, Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr.
Come on, guys, these Okay, we're gonna.
Speaker 1 (05:22):
Damon doesn't look like cal Ripman does. Someone said I
think it would be really funny if it was Kevin Costner.
Speaker 6 (05:27):
Okay, w POC traffic.
Speaker 1 (05:32):
Oh, hold on for a second.
Speaker 3 (05:34):
We had to turn the MIC's office so we didn't
get sued. All right, No hold on, go ahead, calm down,
all right?
Speaker 7 (05:39):
All right?
Speaker 2 (05:40):
A seventy eastbound in westbound an exit twenty six, big
delay there from an earlier accident in both directions. A
disabled vehicle on eight ninety five north found at the
Harbor Tunnel.
Speaker 1 (05:50):
Has things stop and go there.
Speaker 2 (05:51):
There's an accident in seventy westbound at Roxbury Bills Road
and Drawbridge drawbridge issues on the interloop at Quarantine Road.
Speaker 1 (05:58):
Yep, that Michael J. Morning Show is bad. Grammophone dot
com see it, hear it.
Speaker 8 (06:03):
This report is sponsored by Ebays.
Speaker 1 (06:10):
Riley Green. I want you in the worst way. Is
that sexy when I talk like that? The worst way?
Speaker 7 (06:17):
Baby?
Speaker 1 (06:18):
Little creepy? If you ask me?
Speaker 3 (06:20):
Ninety three point one w POC. Can we talk about
sneakers real quick? Our boss, the kapooch man, he has
I don't know how many pair, but he that's his
whole thing.
Speaker 1 (06:33):
You know, everybody's got their hose.
Speaker 3 (06:35):
I've seen his closet and I've seen his feet more importantly,
every time here he's got a different pair of sneakers on,
and they're not the like you know, I remember when
I had Jack Purcell's when I was a kid, or
if I had you know, nikes, you know what Jack
Purcell's are.
Speaker 1 (06:51):
They were the big ones in Baltimore. Everybody had Jack Purcell's.
Speaker 3 (06:54):
But anyway, I mean, you know, I usually have at
any time maybe two pairs of sneakers on the go,
you know what I mean. In other words, that wear them,
then they wear out, I throw them out, I'll get
a new pair.
Speaker 1 (07:07):
So you got the typical dad shoe thing going.
Speaker 3 (07:10):
Yeah, I mean they're yeah, they're because what happens is
you end up like getting them dirty.
Speaker 1 (07:14):
You'll be in the you know, gardening or I don't know, you.
Speaker 3 (07:16):
Got I got a trash pair, you know, and then
when they get trash, then they really do go on
the trash.
Speaker 7 (07:22):
Right.
Speaker 3 (07:23):
But uh, I learned from the Kapooge that people are
into these sneakers. And then you're telling me you've got a.
Speaker 2 (07:32):
My girlfriend has like I'm missing no less than a
hundred holy.
Speaker 1 (07:36):
Sneakers, one hundred pairs, and it's it's out of hand.
Speaker 2 (07:41):
But I mean, it's the hobby. It's their hobby. And
some of them are really expensive.
Speaker 1 (07:45):
Like a couple of thousands. That's crazy. So here's just
like a whole culture, a whole sneaker culture.
Speaker 3 (07:52):
I'm just learning that you can sell used sneakers for a.
Speaker 1 (07:56):
Lot of money.
Speaker 2 (07:56):
Yeah, And if you have like an original pair of
like Jordan's, Jordan One's or something like that, I don't
know it, can you still buy those online?
Speaker 1 (08:06):
Thousands? Like how much?
Speaker 2 (08:08):
Like like I would say, probably like twelve thousand, Yes,
I don't know. I don't know, but it's a lot
of money. Like if you have like an og pair
of sneakers, oh my god.
Speaker 1 (08:16):
Will you ware of those? I don't think you put
him in a box or something.
Speaker 2 (08:20):
But then they're like there's all these sneaker drops that
happen all the time. Do you mean they're like like
today at ten o'clock, Travis Scott's going to do a
new collab and he's going to drop some sneakers and
everyone's got it and then and then they sell it immediately,
but then you can buy him aftermarket, so they'll sell
for like one hundred and fifty dollars if you win
the auction or not auctions, like a drop, but.
Speaker 1 (08:40):
Then if you don't get it, then you have to
buy it after.
Speaker 2 (08:43):
Market for like eight hundred dollars or something crazy.
Speaker 3 (08:46):
So people are reselling him like tickets exactly. That's crazy,
and people.
Speaker 1 (08:51):
Do it, and so Turner's like, oh, mom, oh I
need I need this. I'm like, no, I look.
Speaker 2 (08:57):
It up buying eight hundred dollars your you better win
that drop, yeah, because if you win the drop, it's
not that bad.
Speaker 1 (09:03):
It's like one hundred and fifty.
Speaker 3 (09:04):
I still think one hundred and fifties a lot for
a pair of sneakers. I'm sorry, well I used to.
I'm under one hundred dollars, I am, I'm sorry, I
will all there's some things.
Speaker 1 (09:14):
It's like a car, I would argue.
Speaker 2 (09:16):
Then you're always going to still look like, well, you're
wearing shoes that are under I know.
Speaker 1 (09:21):
That's just fine. That's your vibe. No, it's not my vibe.
It's my wallet, is what it is. You should do.
Speaker 2 (09:26):
You should do a nice smart pair of like air
Force ones that'd be so cute, white all white, okay, smart?
Speaker 1 (09:31):
Are those like more than one hundred bucks? Well, then
we're gonna need to get you new jeans.
Speaker 3 (09:34):
Oh my gosh, y b I already have I got
kids shop all right, So well listen, speaking of concert tickets,
we do have a pair of WDPOC Saturday in the
Country tickets.
Speaker 1 (09:45):
We would love to give these to you when we're
gonna play our.
Speaker 3 (09:49):
Little hot seat game eight one hundred three two one
thirty six ninety three.
Speaker 7 (09:54):
That's you mad.
Speaker 6 (09:58):
Nine half surprised about that.
Speaker 7 (10:00):
It's just it's always who cus first and not not
any mean? Isn't it? Something made me? Not any means.
Speaker 3 (10:24):
We're bringing the good news, Chaboozie. He's going to be
at our wed POC Saturday in the Country. Bethany, we
were just talking about the price of sneakers since day he.
Speaker 2 (10:32):
Found you a pair of original nineteen eighty five Jordans
for twenty five thousand dollars.
Speaker 3 (10:36):
Yeah, I'll be rushing out to get those, Okay.
Speaker 1 (10:39):
Can you really believe someone's going to pay that much?
Somebody will?
Speaker 3 (10:43):
Uh, A good buddy of mine, Johnny shout out to Johnny.
He says, I gotta drive with something between my Jordans
and the floor so I don't get my heels dirty.
I have over one hundred pair, and he sent to
a picture. What is that he's got like a he's
got like a towel.
Speaker 2 (10:57):
And he's got like a something down on his Maybe, yeah,
because you could scuff them when you're driving and they
careful with that gas pedal Johnny.
Speaker 1 (11:05):
Yeah, but when you when you scuff them, does that
hurt the value? Of course?
Speaker 2 (11:08):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (11:09):
I don't know. It also just looks tacky.
Speaker 3 (11:11):
And then you wanted me to ask him does he
use the crease protectors right?
Speaker 2 (11:16):
Because if you're going to protect against scuffs, you also
have to protect against creases.
Speaker 3 (11:19):
He says they're very uncomfortable. He keeps them in only
for storage. But I'm telling you, I never knew Johnny's
the dude. I never knew there was so much going
on with sneakers. So what is the most Johnny?
Speaker 1 (11:31):
Can you please take Michael's shopping?
Speaker 3 (11:34):
So I say, the most I'm spending on a pair
of sneakers is one hundred bucks.
Speaker 1 (11:37):
What about you?
Speaker 3 (11:39):
Okay, what's the most that you would pay for a
pair of sneakers?
Speaker 2 (11:43):
Probably?
Speaker 3 (11:45):
See, I don't feel so bad now, can't your feet?
Speaker 6 (11:48):
Girl?
Speaker 1 (11:48):
These are you're walking around on them?
Speaker 2 (11:51):
See?
Speaker 3 (11:51):
I just said we were just talking about I say,
I won't go over one hundred bucks. You get me,
don't you.
Speaker 5 (11:59):
Get?
Speaker 1 (12:01):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (12:01):
That's a lot. And that's because that's fifty dollars a foot.
That's a lot of money.
Speaker 1 (12:06):
You are walking. They're protecting your little Kate.
Speaker 3 (12:10):
And cat's only going twenty dollars a fuck. All right, Kate,
But let me ask you this question. How much do
you spend on your nails? I'll bet you do you
spend more on your sneakers?
Speaker 2 (12:25):
Do you have to ask that?
Speaker 3 (12:27):
Okay, see, I know how much do you spend on
your how many?
Speaker 1 (12:31):
How much do you spend on those toenails of yours?
Speaker 3 (12:34):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (12:36):
See what I'm saying, you got one time use you
can extensive sneakers over and.
Speaker 3 (12:42):
Over when you have to remember when you have a
woman saying rub harder, rub harder, I'm like, massage those dogs, baby,
go for it. Hey, you know we were talking about
what part you recognize? First, I said it was the
lips in the mouth. Second, nails. I'm telling you that's
what that's what is all about. Come on, you gotta
(13:03):
go for the nails. Whatever you guy's paying attention to
when you're getting a foot, I think the rub is
probably worth I don't care about the beat here, It's
about the rest of it. I just want you to
give me that good that good rub.
Speaker 7 (13:14):
All right.
Speaker 3 (13:14):
So, so, Kate, we have got w POC Saturday in
the country. Tickets, no shoes, no shirt, no problems if
you can get through the the pressure cooker that we
call our hot seat.
Speaker 1 (13:27):
Are you ready for three questions?
Speaker 3 (13:29):
Make them fast? Three seconds. We're gonna have to buzzy,
and then you're gone, Kate.
Speaker 1 (13:36):
Question number one, what's your favorite kind of exercise? That's cool?
Question number two, who is the biggest drama queen in
your life? Don't say Michael j or Beth of the either, So.
Speaker 2 (13:51):
I really have that?
Speaker 1 (13:52):
You do, don't? You're running out of time?
Speaker 9 (13:55):
Can I say best friend?
Speaker 2 (13:57):
But it's not a name?
Speaker 1 (13:59):
Sure? Yeah, okay, okay, you're best friend. You've identified her.
Go ahead.
Speaker 2 (14:07):
And lastly, what's one thing that you've never tried but
you're dying to try.
Speaker 1 (14:13):
One thing you've never tried?
Speaker 6 (14:16):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (14:16):
Would you really do that?
Speaker 7 (14:18):
Kate?
Speaker 6 (14:19):
Well, my niece is tossed on it, so yes, I
think I would love.
Speaker 1 (14:23):
To try it at once.
Speaker 3 (14:25):
Now we know why she's not going to spend more
than forty bucks for sneakers.
Speaker 1 (14:29):
The whole life's disposable.
Speaker 2 (14:31):
Yeah, you gotta go with her.
Speaker 1 (14:34):
Maybe we should do it with Kate. Yeah, I'll jump
out of a plane, all right.
Speaker 2 (14:41):
That's how we're going to arrive at Saturday in the country,
all three of them.
Speaker 1 (14:44):
We're gonna jump right out of America.
Speaker 6 (14:47):
Merriwell ninety three point one w POC traffic.
Speaker 2 (14:51):
All right, there's an accident on seventy westbound at Roxbury
Mills Road. The right lane is blocked there, ninety five
southbound between exit ninety three and exit eighty nine.
Speaker 1 (15:00):
Stop and go traffic there.
Speaker 2 (15:03):
In the Baltimore City, Baltimore Street at Guildford Avenue is
still close right now due to underground fires over the weekend.
And we've got some debris in the roadway on two
twenty two at Saint Mark's Church.
Speaker 10 (15:12):
Road, ninety three point one WPOC.
Speaker 3 (15:37):
Now, hey, there's a couple of things here, Bethany Okay.
First off, Hall of Fame horse trainer d Wayne Lucas.
Speaker 1 (15:45):
I saw that one seven Preak mis Stakes.
Speaker 3 (15:47):
I think he's the second winning miss Uh trainer. That's
the right word to you is I don't know what
do I know he passed at eighty nine years old.
And Bob Bafford very very tight with him. Yeah, he's
like one of the only guys that's won more. And
Bob Baffert said his quote was, I just hope that
at some point I had the chance to do something
(16:11):
that made de Wayne Lucas proud.
Speaker 1 (16:14):
So, I mean they were really tight. Well, you know,
I've been watching that horse Dock on Netflix. He's in that. Yeah.
Isn't it amazing how you first you're like horses and
then you I've never heard of this man before you
get into it.
Speaker 3 (16:26):
Oh and I know, Well, there's so much hard work
that goes in behind the scenes for things like.
Speaker 1 (16:31):
The prece Oh my god.
Speaker 3 (16:33):
Traffic lights and street lights remained out just north of
the Inner Harbor early yesterday afternoon.
Speaker 1 (16:39):
And I was down the ocean, but there was fires
for underground fires.
Speaker 7 (16:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (16:43):
In fact, Baltimore Street at Guildford have still closed right
now due to the underground fires.
Speaker 3 (16:48):
So smoke was billowing out of manholes when Baltimore City
Fire and Baltimore Gas and Electric responded around three o'clock
Saturday afternoon. The Fire Department on Sunday referred questions about
the cause of the fire to BG and E, who
are now saying that it remains under investigation. With a
(17:08):
lot of comments coming in on this, Mark A says
BG and E managed to fry a major fiber optic
internet cable with this fire, So I don't know how
that's going to affect downtown business.
Speaker 1 (17:19):
Do with the heat, I wonder. I don't know, but well,
you know what else I saw.
Speaker 2 (17:22):
Speaking of BG, They're gonna give rebates this summer up
to eighty dollars. Wow, I was like eighty dollars. My
bill increased way more than eighty dollars.
Speaker 1 (17:33):
No, I don't care.
Speaker 6 (17:34):
Ninety three POC traffic.
Speaker 1 (17:37):
Thanks for nothing anyway.
Speaker 2 (17:40):
There's an accident on seventy eastbound and westbound affected. That's
an exit twenty six in Hagerstown, so steer clear of
there because it's back to be in. Both directions were closed,
like I said, on Baltimore Street at Guildford, AB due
to those underground fires. There's a vehicle fire on the
outer loop at Delaney Valley Road and then the outer
loop at seven five is also jammed up.

I did eight hundred and three two one thirty six
ninety three. Now let's start with a couple of surprises,
all right. First, remember a couple of weeks ago when
Ella Langley found Mini Me and the video went viral.
Speaker 1 (20:39):
I don't know if you remember that or not.
Speaker 3 (20:40):
Ella then gave little Cecilia the best birthday, complete with tickets,
a meet and greet, even some time up on the
stage during a Showious, Jelly Roll and Bunny XO have
teamed up with a social media influencer named Zachary known
for his good deeds to help a grand father who
was struggling financially while caring for his grandson as his
(21:04):
mom battled addiction. They surprised Peter with a brand new
camper home, which was a significant upgrade from that current
living situation.
Speaker 1 (21:14):
It was very, very sweet.
Speaker 3 (21:15):
And Morgan Wallen made a stop at Camp Randall Stadium
in Wisconsin over the weekend, which he hadn't seen live
music for thirty years. No kidding, Nope, Fans got quite
a surprise from Miranda Lambert and Ella Langley joined Morgan
on stage during the show. Because Morgan Wallen always likes
to pull something surprising. Yeah out like he he I'm
(21:37):
trying to think where he was, but he was walking out.
He always does this big walkout thing. Yeah, and he'll
have like, you know, he had Drake with him. That's
what I was going to tell you. Drake was hanging
out with him. Blake Shelton surprise fans too going into
the weekend by releasing a video of State Country or
Die Trying.
Speaker 1 (21:55):
Some might want to look for that.
Speaker 6 (21:57):
Ninety three point one w POC traffic.
Speaker 2 (22:00):
The biggest issue right now is seventy eastbound and westbound
at Exit twenty six. That's been kind of blocked or
closed all morning, So a steer clear there if you can.
In the eastbound direction. It looks like people are sitting
for about forty minutes. So we're closed on Baltimore Street
at Guilford due to an underground fire over the weekend.
A vehicle fighter on the outer Loop by Delaney Valley
(22:22):
Road causing some issues there. And there's an accident reported
on Security Boulevard at green Gage Road.
Speaker 1 (22:31):
Summer.
Speaker 9 (22:33):
We all.
Speaker 1 (22:39):
Mary's going to be taking it easy.
Speaker 3 (22:41):
Congratulations here In ninety three point one WPOC Michael Jane Bethany.
Speaker 1 (22:45):
Mary's on the line. You know, she works the nine
to one one calls.
Speaker 2 (22:50):
She's like a dispatcher exactly, Mary, I have a question
about nine one one.
Speaker 1 (22:55):
Are there a lot of calls that are non emergency?
Speaker 9 (22:57):
It is a big problem. We do get a lot
of non emergency calls, and but there's enough of us
to go around that in our agency, nobody's on hold.
Speaker 1 (23:07):
That's awesome. How did you get that job?
Speaker 9 (23:11):
Chunny stories? Like six or seven years ago, I used
to be a bartender and a lieutenant for this agency
with my customer.
Speaker 1 (23:19):
Okay, isn't it always funny who you meet? And yeah,
and what is it?
Speaker 7 (23:24):
What is it?
Speaker 1 (23:25):
You just never know what's the agency that runs nine
one one?
Speaker 9 (23:30):
So I work where I work is MDTA Police and
that's who actually runs the nine one one center. Wow,
every center has the room?
Speaker 1 (23:41):
Uh huh, that's crazy. Mary, You aren't just a wealth
of information. Do you ever have a tough.
Speaker 3 (23:46):
Time when you come home after working a shift just
being able to de stress? Do you feel like you've
been caught up in you know, a lot of drama.
Speaker 9 (23:55):
So no, pretty much, I can disconnect. I only have
on times when I was my officers that he was
hit and it was bad. Oh so and he's back
to work.
Speaker 1 (24:09):
Well that's your okay.
Speaker 2 (24:10):
I wondered if you ever get it must be hard
never to get a follow up, like if you if
you take.
Speaker 9 (24:15):
A call, you know, yeah, sometimes it's hard. Sometimes we
can our officers that have to do follow ups will
come in and give us, you know, the finals on stuff.
But him being my officer, I followed it all the
way through.
Speaker 3 (24:31):
Hey, let me ask you one more question about being
a nine to one one uh operator?
Speaker 1 (24:36):
What's your title?
Speaker 9 (24:37):
By the way, emergency police dispatcher too.
Speaker 1 (24:42):
Got it, well, emergency police dispatcher two.
Speaker 5 (24:46):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (24:46):
What advice do you have or what here's an opportunity
just to tell the public, you know, what, what we
need to be mindful of or what should we be
thinking when we call nine one one.
Speaker 9 (25:00):
If you're calling in an emergency or calling in something.
It's not always easy to stay calm, but we need
basic information. If we're asking you, we've already sent somebody
to you once we get your location. The other information
is just to assist them as they get there, because
we get a lot of people who say, just send
an officer I'm tired of asking the answer these questions.
(25:22):
We've already been, We've already sent somebody. The questions are
just a follow up.
Speaker 1 (25:27):
Got it?
Speaker 3 (25:28):
Now, if we can just keep the drunks from calling
her at two in the morning, ay.
Speaker 7 (25:34):
Lan, you driver around my mind.
Speaker 4 (25:38):
I can't count that the times you made me feel
like them nothing please me.
Speaker 1 (25:43):
Lack a fool a fool.
Speaker 3 (25:54):
Real flats one of your all time country favorites The
Michael J Morning Show at night three point one WPOC.
Speaker 2 (26:01):
This is unhinged. Okay, we asked how much is a
typical gift for a wedding? Exactly? There are so many
things to take into consideration of variables. How well do
you know the person, how fancy is the wedding? Like,
how much do you like them? Like we were just
talking about my brother's wedding, like was a destination wedding,
so like I'm already spending a couple thousand dollars just
(26:22):
to get to the wedding, and.
Speaker 1 (26:23):
They got airfare, tell accommodations.
Speaker 2 (26:25):
And now I gotta give you a gift too. And
remember you used to smack me when I was leaving. Okay,
so somebody else, somebody on tech said, my husband and
I usually give around two hundred dollars to the couple,
unless we have to travel far, and then it depends.
And then someone said I was married in twenty twenty three.
The gifts ranged from zero.
Speaker 3 (26:44):
Listen, if you give zero at a wedding, don't bother
coming no, because you're only costing the family money.
Speaker 1 (26:51):
Right, How can you give zero.
Speaker 2 (26:53):
And don RSVP first and then not show up because
then you're also costing the money zero up to five
hundred Okay, probably like an aunt and uncle or a grandma.
Speaker 1 (27:02):
Yeah, I mean.
Speaker 2 (27:03):
And then she said, I personally give as much as
the plate is. This is this is how I don't
normally try to do it. She says, about one hundred
dollars unless it's a close friend or relative. She said,
But now I'm starting to put into consideration if I
was invited to the bachelor, a bachelorette party, the bridal shower,
or anything else that required another gift.
Speaker 1 (27:18):
It adds up quickly. But then listen to this. This
is the one that's unhinged, but I kind of like it.
Speaker 6 (27:23):
Hi.
Speaker 2 (27:24):
You also have to take into consideration what the person
gave you when you got married. She says, I actually
have a spreadsheet that you've got the excels a person's
name and what they gave me, No, yes, and then
for each party, and then I try to match it. Okay,
So if you're doing it just to try to that's
a little over the top.
Speaker 1 (27:43):
You're a virgo. This person's a virgo, all right, I'm
Gemini cancer.
Speaker 3 (27:47):
And the way I look at it is, yes, you
keep you keep the amount of money next to a
name for the for in my mind, for the sole
purpose of writing thank yous, right, and then when you've
written a thank you, you know this appropriate for whatever.
We don't need to keep scoring that gets torn up
and it's in the trash. You're not going to keep
(28:08):
a list of how much everybody gave you what? So
twenty years from now you could say you still.
Speaker 1 (28:12):
Want to be there in twenty twenty three, when I
got married ninety.
Speaker 3 (28:16):
Three point one WPOC traffic and you're a newlywed for
two years.
Speaker 1 (28:22):
What here's the real debate.
Speaker 3 (28:25):
If your marriage doesn't last two years, are you supposed
to give the gifts back?
Speaker 1 (28:29):
I'd be sending me a check.
Speaker 3 (28:31):
Well, that's why you got to keep that spreadsheet, all.
Speaker 2 (28:35):
Right, So there's an accident on seventy eastbound and westbound.
I'm not I'm not sure what side of the road
it started on. The both sides are best affected, yeah,
and both are backed up.
Speaker 1 (28:45):
About fifteen minutes.
Speaker 2 (28:46):
There's an accident on seventy westbound at Roxbury Mills Road
as well, with the right lane blocked. Six ninety five
between White Marsh and Cromwell Bridge is stop and go
and an update that Texter says she is a Sagittariusart.
Speaker 10 (29:00):
