great partners. We'll have a concert. One of our bands
will be playing, to have some bagpipes out there, come

wonderful place to go see a show. But we have
three gay Celtic bands that play and do an hour
set each and they are one Eron's Call, which is
a bit of a mystical type band, really interesting Twathaedia

and stuff like that. Great music. It's three at three
and a half hours of fantastic music and bagpipe demonstrations
as well.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
Food trucks everywhere. We'll have them there on Friday night
of course, still hands gots great food there on Thursday
and then we'll have great food trucks on Friday or
Saturday with a lot of Scottish foods. You can try
Hagos which everybody he wants to try that may not
want to try, and I'm trying now and try it. Yeah,
you know, Shepherd's pie, meat pies, Bridy's, all those types

(02:10):
of things, plus your traditional foods like pizza and ice
cream and all that. Something for everybody.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
The great The great thing is Tartan Day really is
something that fits somebody from two to eighty two, really
something for everybody in the family. You can spend all
day there. One of my I was leaving somewhere the
Sunday night last year and I came by a settlement
and he said, you run Tartana. I said, yeah, he
goes it's not long enough and I said, try to

(02:40):
walking into my shoes. But what a wonderful compliment that
there's a lot for people to do and people will
come in there say oh I didn't see that, And
it's because there's so much going on all over the field.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
So so Thursday night we started off at steel Hands.
Then Friday it's the ice House, Amphitheater downtown Lexington. For
these different events, you can click on Tartan day South and.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
Click exactly the best. The best thing to do is
go to Tartan Daysouth dot com and you'll actually click
each day and I'll tell you what all is going on. Uh,
Thursday night is not a ticketed event. Friday night it
is a ticketed event, and yes, you can buy tickets there.
If you only want to come Friday, you can do
that and just get a Friday ticket. But our best
sial is actually a two day ticket which gets you
Friday and Saturday for only twenty five dollars. Beautiful.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
We're gonna have the guys throwing telephone pole.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
We're all going to have people throw the caber. It's
truly that entergy that's not at the end of on Saturday. Yeah,
so we're gonna you love that event.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
Yeah, it's pretty amazing to see that that telephone pole
was nineteen foot long.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
Fun of a dude wearing a skirt because he can
throw a freaking telephone.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
Yes, he can hundred yards. It's amazing. It's what they
do is they move and all that, and it's literally
one hundred and ninety pounds.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
You know, my wife shares the hero and she was
showing the family crest. It's on a it's a frame thing, yeah,
in the hall. But I ask about the tartan because
I wanted them know if we could wear, if my boys,
who love the heritage of it, could wear the tartan.
And she said, you can't. I'm not allowed to because
I'm not. That's serious business.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
There's some families are very strict rules about that. Some
are a little more open. My wife is a Cameron
and so she has her Cameron tartan. I do not
wear the Cameron tartan. Hell no, I wear the Tartan
day South Tartan. We actually had our own tartan approved
in Scotland two years ago and it is made up
of colors of the city of k c West Columbia,

(04:36):
town of Lexington and we had it approved. It's about
a six month process, about a sixty page application and
it's actually approved in Scotland. And all your fabric has
to be woven in Scotland, so we have to have
it done there and shipped over and we have kilts
made and different things made. So excellent.

Speaker 1 (04:54):
Hey John again, thanks for all your volunteer reference behind
the scenes and your army.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
You'll volunteer people who do a lot of things and
we couldn't do it without our sponsors called Pepperwood, McDaniel,
super Grace Outdoors and Guinness.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
