Olivia Rodrigo joined Angelina via Zoom to talk about her latest album 'Guts'. She's getting ready to go on tour and can't wait to perform all the songs for her fans! With Halloween coming up, she has a couple ideas for her costume, check out the interview to hear what she had to say

How has that friendship come about?Yeah, I've actually known Tate for

a while. I've known her fora few years. I just always thought
that she was the coolest and Ireally loved her music, and she's so
nice and we just like really connectand it's so awesome to have someone in
this industry who I can and talkto. And she's just she's just wondered
for the most genuine kind of personyou've ever made. I love it.
Have you guys ever been in thestudio together? Can we expect maybe a
collab in the future. You know, we haven't yet. We haven't even

talked about it. Maybe we shouldtalk about it with her. I don't
know. I think she's incredible thoughshe's she inspires me. She's awesome.
I think we got to kick thatconversation off. But let's talk about guts.
I love this album. I knowthere was like a lot of pressure
leading up because Sour was so danggood. I personally like this one better.
I didn't know that was possible.Now that it's out. You know,

you don't have stressed about the rollout? How are you feeling? I
feel so relieved, Like truly genuinely. I've just had this past month has
been really calm and happy, andI don't know, I've just been living
with these songs for so long andstressing about them and you know, finessing
and fixing things for so long.It's just so nice to have it be
out in the world, and youknow, I feel like I can actually
enjoy it for the first time.I'm so glad you're like in that space.

Now. I know you've played withlike the punk rack sound a little
bit and sour, you know,with records like Brutal and Good for You.
I feel like you really leaked intoit in this album, which I
love. What was the inspiration foryou that? And like, how do
you personally like see yourself in popmusic? Because pop could be anything,
you know what I mean? So, I know, isn't the cool thing?
I love pop music for that reasonin particular, is just like you

can do anything with it. There'slike really no you know, boundaries or
that can't be crossed or you know, you're not really put into a box.
And so I love that. ButI always grew up listening to rock
music. Rock music's my favorite.And I love a ballad, you know,
love a good ballad. But Ifeel like I've these emotions of like
rage and jealousy and you know,envy that sometimes are you know, portrayed

better through through sounds better rock here. So it was really fun to kind
of get to explore that side formyself a little bit more on this album.
Yeah I'm happy you like it.No, yeah, you did it
perfectly. I feel like you're alsoa lot more vulnerable and like raw on
this one, like songs like Makingthe Bed, Like when I was listening
to the lyrics, I was like, Oh, she's putting it out there.

What song do you think was likethe most challenging for you to write
on this album? Yeah, Makingthat Bed wasn't easy. That definitely is
a very vulnerable song, and it'sabout a period in my life. You
know. I just felt like Iwasn't putting myself in positions or putting myself
with people that I felt like wasreally bringing me ultimate calm or peace or

happiness. And so that's always likea hard thing to kind of grapple with,
you know, realizing that you putyourself in those positions. But I'm
really happy that I could kind oftalk about having that autonomy and responsibility over
my own actions in this album.I think that's something that was important to
me. Yeah. I mean youdefinitely hear the growth in this line.
And we got the tour pop inearly next year. So what do you

think what's like are you most excitedto performed live? Because I feel like
a lot of these songs are gonnago a lot. But what are you
kind of used to play? Reallytime to play All American Bitch live.
I'm also really excited to play balladBehome the Schooled Girl Lives. That's my
favorite song on the album. Thatis, like, yeah, it's so
fun to play live like I've beenI've been in rehearsals for various things in
the past few days, and thatsong in particular, Like, I just

really like, it's just so funto scream. So I think that's gonna
be a fun one. What canfans expect on this tour? Like,
do we have any surprises coming up? What's gonna be the vibe? I
can't give away too much, butit's gonna be a really fun time.
And you know, I'm very gratefulto be playing bigger arenas this time,
and so I just think the showis just gonna be a little elevated.

So I'm most dooked. I know, I'm really excited for her too.
What else is next week? Iknow you got a lot on your plate
planning this tour, you know,album, What is next for me?
Gosh, I don't know. Ifeel like I don't even know what I'm
doing tomorrow. I'm really excited.I'm doing a lot of performances lately,
and yeah, I'm super stoked fortour. I think that's gonna be really

fun and really great experience for me. So looking forward to that, looking
forward to Halloween too. I don'tknow's that's on my mind. I don't
