Speaker 1 (00:00):
Tonight it's six ninety sixty nine The Valley's Best Mix.
Priscilla here with What's Trending, brought to you by Hilo
Rivert Resorts and Casinos every day at six twenty five,
seven twenty five, and eight twenty five. And this week
we hear that Nicole Kidman had to leave the Venice
Film Festival early because her mom passed away and she

(00:21):
had someone else accept her award with this statement.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
Today, I arrived in Venice time out. Shortly after that
my beautiful, brave mother, Janelle M. Kidman, has just passed.
I'm in shock and I have to go to my family.
But this award is for her. She shaded me, she
guided me, and.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
She made me. Oh. It was definitely unexpected, as the
rest of the statement reads, but she accepted the award
in her mother's name, so sending them lots of love.
We also found out that Selena Gomes explained that her
chronic health issues, which included a loupis diagnosed, makes it
risky for her to carry a baby to term, so
she shared that unfortunately she will never be able to

(01:05):
carry her own babies. It is something that she had
to grieve for a while but she shared it because
she knows a lot of people go through those same
health issues and she didn't want people to feel alone.
Adele recently declined a two hundred million dollars deal to
extend her tour for a residency in China because she
wants to spend more time with her family.

Speaker 3 (01:25):
I mean, this is classic Adell.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
Though we all know that she comes out of a hibernation,
makes a ton of money, and then goes back into
hibernation for like twenty years. Okay, maybe like five, but
still it feels like it. So we wish her well
on her new life and you know, living it up.
Speaking of coming out of hibernation, jac Schize win on

(01:46):
stage to not only perform, but announce a new album.
Ladies and Gentlemen, The Memories Events say, give it up
for Chase.

Speaker 4 (01:54):
She's still in this tells hell stuck, you.

Speaker 5 (02:01):
Got no show, no.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
Time to wa so fine. So see, you know it's
gonna I mean it is gonna be awesome. I cannot
wait to hear the new album that he's coming out with.
That's what he came on stage to announce. He's releasing
this musical theater concept album that's inspired by Frankenstein. It

(02:32):
feels so quirky and weird and I'm here for it.
But if you remember, his first album was very quirky
and weird, and that's why people said he did not
take off the way Justin did. But who knows? Okay,
on the way, we got to talk about the Sip
of the Day. It's a small sip of fun to
kickstart your day while you sip on your coffee. And

(02:54):
we have a Grandpa that's gonna make your morning. Plus
we have your tickets to Universal Studios Hollywood Halloween Horror
Nights and your tickets to the Phoenix Mercury. So much
great stuff coming up right here. I'll mix, dude. It's
six ninety six nine in the Valley's Best Mix. Your
chance to go to Universal Studios Hollywood Halloween Horror Nights
is coming up at seven twenty five this morning. But

(03:16):
it is time for your sip of the day, that
small sip of goodness to kick start your day while
you sip on your coffee. And we all know Birds
of a Feather by Billie Eilish. We play it here
on Mixed ninety six nine. It is one of the
best songs on the radio right now, and I love
playing it for you. Well, this grandpa is on social

(03:37):
media covering Billie Eilish's song. His name is Frank Watkinson,
and he says that he slowed down the version of it.
Now listen to him singing it. I Oh, it'll take
your heart explode.

Speaker 3 (03:52):
Listen to this.

Speaker 4 (03:53):
I want you to stay till a run away diet
and buried, till I'm in the casket the chick carry
if you go, I'm going too, because it was always you.

(04:20):
If I'm turning blue, please don't save me.

Speaker 6 (04:24):
Nothing left to lose.

Speaker 4 (04:26):
With the love Baby version of the.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
I think it like hits home even more just because
like he's a grandpa and that song kind of basically
talks about lifelong friendships and loves and just all of
that stuff. So it's so cute. We love Frank. If
you want to see the video, it's on our Instagram
right now. At Mixed ninety six nine FM, It's six

(04:55):
ninety six nine in the Valley's Best Mix. I'm gonna
play the next song that's gonna be added to our
Mix ninety six to nine road Trip playlist at eight thirty,
So make sure you listen for that for your chance
to go to our iHeartRadio Music Festival. But sid I
just read that gen Z loves to make fun of
older generations for not using their phone to make major

(05:16):
purchases or pay for bills.

Speaker 3 (05:18):
On their phone.

Speaker 1 (05:19):
Yes, and it's hilarious because my husband, who is younger
than me, I call him joking lea boomer all the time.
And we had a situation about it because, like, so,
remember a few weeks back, I was looking at credit
cards that had points to get benefits and all that.

Speaker 7 (05:37):
Yes, yes, we were trying to figure out how that works.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
Yes, well we figured it out, and basically you're supposed
to pay all your bills and all of your costs
on that and then pay it off, right yep. Well
I was telling my husband like, hey, let's start paying
your utility bills, everything that we owe on that credit
card and then pay it off. And he's like, okay,
well I need to pay the SRP bill. But how
am I supposed to pay it if you don't even
have your physical card yet?

Speaker 3 (06:01):
And I'm like, well, there's this thing called Apple pay.
There's this thing called Apple Pay.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
I was like, well, just see if SORP does Apple
pay He's like, you're redicular, They're out of your mind,
Like nobody takes Apple Pay. He's like, assuming it's Venmo
or cash app.

Speaker 7 (06:15):
Right, I want gen Z on this one. Yeah, exactly easy.
I always just have my I rarely have my actual
physical cards with me.

Speaker 1 (06:24):
Same. In fact, I feel almost inconvenienced when a location
doesn't have Apple Pay. I'm like, it's twenty twenty four.
How does home depone not have Apple Pay? Did they not?

Speaker 3 (06:35):
They don't?

Speaker 1 (06:36):
That is wild, so because I think everybody's supposed to have.

Speaker 3 (06:39):
Apple Pay at this point.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
Yeah, yeah, so, uh do you pay a lot of
things with Apple Pay?

Speaker 8 (06:43):
I do?

Speaker 7 (06:44):
And I'll book a flight on my phone. Say, oh,
there's that meme where it's like millennials like there's things
for your laptop and things for your phone. I'm like,
I'm just gonna do it all on my phone because
all it.

Speaker 3 (06:52):
Needs is facial recognition and it goes right on through.
I'll do all one up you.

Speaker 1 (06:57):
And I signed every single document to buy my house
on my cell phone.

Speaker 3 (07:05):
That is a little scary, but I get it.

Speaker 7 (07:08):
I mean it's right there. I mean I'm living in it,
so it worked. It's the same thing essentially, I think so.
And it says it's like a secured website.

Speaker 3 (07:18):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (07:18):
I think like, at the end of the day, my desktop,
my MacBook is on the same Wi Fi network as
my phone.

Speaker 3 (07:25):
They're essentially like the smaller version.

Speaker 1 (07:28):
So why not.

Speaker 7 (07:29):
You're so young at heart, You're such a gen z.

Speaker 1 (07:32):
These kids keep me young all right. On the way
with our jaw dropper, this woman from Arizona made national
news because of something that was stuck in her body
for twenty five years.

Speaker 3 (07:43):
It's so bizarre. We'll do that just after seven, So
Teddy swims, I.

Speaker 1 (07:50):
Make ninety six to nine in the Valley's Best Mixed Priscilla.
Here it is time for your jaw dropper of the day.
Snock girl, I think you drop something my jaw. So
sid did you hear about Andy Norton, a thirty two
year old Phoenix woman that was having a lego stuck

(08:11):
in her nose for twenty five years per year?

Speaker 7 (08:14):
I mean, you hear this happening to kids all the time,
but for an adult exactly.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
So one morning she just like has been having a
lot of sinus fresher a lot of sinus issues, and
doctors basically told her to blow her nose in the
shower because it'll help with the humidity.

Speaker 3 (08:30):
And the sinus relief. Yeah, I get everything out.

Speaker 1 (08:32):
Well. When she did that, something really hard kind of
came out and it hit the shower floor, and she
realized it was a lego that was stuck in her
nose from nineteen ninety eight. I just like, I can't
imagine how that can be stuck in your nose for
so long.

Speaker 3 (08:51):
I just I can't, Like.

Speaker 7 (08:52):
I imagine. The relief was unbelievable, you know, and you have
like a popcorn kernel stuck in your teeth for days.
So that you finally get it out.

Speaker 1 (08:59):
You're like, oh, like life is free again.

Speaker 7 (09:04):
All is well. But like you said, kids do this
all the time. Like Carla, you said, your daughter put
something in her nose.

Speaker 9 (09:12):
So there are times when I grew my nails at home,
and I buy like the acrylic kit with the nail
tips and everything so that I can make my nails
look all nice and fancy. And one time my youngest
daughter saw the nails sitting in the little compartment and
she grabbed one because the inside of her nose is
and she put it up in her nose too far
and got it stuck and we had to make an er.

Speaker 1 (09:33):
I can't even imagine. I will say, my oldest daughter, Lilah,
when she was a kid, she got she's just stuff,
stuffed animal stuffing up in her nose. I know. I
never had to take her to the doctor because I
always just knew. But I can't tell you how many
times I pulled out tweezers to pull out the stuffing
out of her nose.

Speaker 7 (09:51):
That's so random. I guess kids just put anything up
their nose.

Speaker 3 (09:54):
They will do I don't know why.

Speaker 1 (09:56):
They just figure like it's fun and cool, so let's
do it. Okay, on the way, we have your chance
to go to Universal Studios Hollywood Halloween whore Nights plus
the Trade. I'm sorry, the viral thing from Trader Joe's
is back, and I'm going to tell you how you
can get it right here on Mixed ninety six to nine.

Speaker 3 (10:18):
It's six ninety six nine in the Valley's Best Mix.

Speaker 1 (10:21):
Priscilla Here, it is time for What's Trending, brought to
you by Hilo River Resorts and Casinos. And yesterday we
heard the news of the passing of James Earl Jones.

Speaker 5 (10:36):
Last one day, Simba, the sun will set on my
time here and will rise with you as the new king.

Speaker 1 (10:44):
This will all be mine.

Speaker 5 (10:46):
Everything we had decided that move faster, more important than
a king. He was a papa, so I had come
down off the king stuff and just become a dope.
You know, ladies and gentlemen, I stand before you, deeply honored, mighty, grateful,
and just playing golfsmat.

Speaker 3 (11:06):
James oor.

Speaker 1 (11:09):
Ugh my heart. He was ninety three, surrounded by family.
He was best known for his voice for voicing Darth
Vader in Star Wars and of course Mufasa in Lion King.

Speaker 3 (11:22):
I mean, his story is so incredible.

Speaker 1 (11:24):
He overcame a childhood stutter to become one of the
most celebrated actors in theaters, films, television.

Speaker 3 (11:30):
I remember he was in sand La.

Speaker 1 (11:31):
I think some of my most imprinted childhood memories when
it comes to movies and TV. He was a part
of so Ah sending lots of love to his family
and all, honestly all of us, because I think it
affects us all. Yesterday, Apple unveiled their iPhone sixteen and
their iPhone sixteen Pro Max, which means a larger six

(11:54):
point three inch and six point nine inch display, a
new titanium color option, improved battery life, a chip that
is twenty percent faster, which for someone that like edits
on videos, content creators, all.

Speaker 3 (12:07):
That stuff that's really cool.

Speaker 1 (12:08):
And then the iPhone sixteen pro starts at nine at
ninety nine and the Max starts at one thousand dollars
in one hundred and ninety nine, which is a lot
of money. Cool thing though, they're gonna have color options
hot pink, sea, foam green, and bright blue.

Speaker 3 (12:25):
Don't forget.

Speaker 1 (12:26):
Tonight is the presidential debate in Philadelphia six pm. You
can watch it on ABC, Disney Plus and Hulu. And then,
of course the Trader Jos Viral minitote bags will return
to Storre September eighteenth.

Speaker 3 (12:38):
People went crazy for these last year.

Speaker 1 (12:41):
If you can get them in the stores, they're only
two ninety nine in multiple colors. But if you don't,
then you'll have to buy it on eBay, where they're
gonna sell it for like one hundred bucks, So make
sure you don't do that. Okay, On the way, we
have your chance to go to Universal Studios Hollywood Halloween
Horror Nights Let's do this right now.

Speaker 3 (12:59):
Give us a call if you.

Speaker 1 (13:00):
Are interested in going six oh two two six oh
oh nine six ' nine. That's six oh two two
six oh oh nine six nine.

Speaker 3 (13:08):
Let's play some cold Play.

Speaker 1 (13:10):
Who's going to be at our iHeartRadio Music Festival in
a couple of weeks with your chance to win it
as it's six ninety six nine the Valley's Best Mix.

Speaker 3 (13:18):
Priscilla here and it is time.

Speaker 1 (13:20):
To play American Aidol sid is in the studio to
cheer on Jessica. Good morning Jessica. Okay, so super easy.
I know you want to go to Universal Studios Hollywood
Halloween Horror Nights. All you have to do is guess
what song AI is singing? Are you ready?

Speaker 7 (13:41):
I am ready?

Speaker 3 (13:42):
Okay, let's go. What song is this?

Speaker 6 (13:44):
You know I'm not the little boy that I used
to be. I'm all grown up now, baby. Can't you
see Stacy's mom has got it going on. She's all
I want and I have waited for so long. Stacy,
can't you see You're just not the girl for me.
I know it might be wrong, but I'm in love
with Stacy's mom.

Speaker 3 (14:04):
So ridiculous. So with that being said, Jess what song
is that?

Speaker 8 (14:12):
It is Stacey's Mom.

Speaker 1 (14:19):
And that's what we're doing here. We want to make
it as easy as possible so you can go enjoy
a vacation with your family into university studios, Hollywood Halloween
Horror Nights.

Speaker 3 (14:26):
You got those four pack of tickets, Thank you so much, of.

Speaker 1 (14:31):
Course saying tight, okay, don't go anywhere. Coming up with
our hot topic, who everyone's fired up about the younger
generation in the workforce. Are they having more work life
balance or would you consider them lazy? We'll do that
in a few songs, but first, here's Noah con and
post Malone.

Speaker 3 (14:51):
It's mixed ninety.

Speaker 1 (14:51):
Six to nine in the Valley's Best Mix. Priscilla here
and it is time for our hot topic. And today's
hot topic is is work FA dead.

Speaker 7 (15:01):
Firm with the with the young kids?

Speaker 3 (15:05):
The yes so.

Speaker 1 (15:06):
Said Online people are chatting it up about gen Z
employees taking more sick days than previous generations. So basically
they're using more sick days with a forty two percent
increase in leave since twenty nineteen, and it's basically being
driven by a shift in attitude towards work life balance,
health and younger workers prioritize their mental and emotional wellbeing,

(15:31):
taking time off for both physical illness and burnout, reflecting
a generational focus on self care.

Speaker 3 (15:37):
So the question is are.

Speaker 1 (15:40):
They doing the right thing by creating work life balance
or is it an excuse to not have a proper
work ethic.

Speaker 7 (15:48):
I think creating work life balance and calling off because
a burnout.

Speaker 3 (15:53):
Are two different things.

Speaker 7 (15:55):
Explain, because if you have a good work life balance,
you shouldn't get to that burnout out points exactly.

Speaker 3 (16:01):
Yeah, So I don't know.

Speaker 7 (16:04):
I just I would never call off because I'm too
busy or overwhelmed.

Speaker 1 (16:09):
There, I have a hard time because like I can
actually see both perspectives, like I have a ridiculous work
ethic almost to a fault, and yeah, toxic honestly, Like
I wish I didn't work as hard as I do. Yeah,
you're always on it, but I also do think like
I have a gen z daughter, and I'm sorry, I

(16:30):
love her to death, and she actually does have a
great work ethic. But sometimes I look at her and
I'm like, I'm sorry that this shift that you picked
up is inconveniencing your social life. Like sometimes we've had
no I wouldn't say arguments, but we've had discussions about
how She's like, well, I don't want to take that
job because I want to be able to, you know,
have the holidays off. And I'm like, oh girl, that's

(16:52):
not how.

Speaker 3 (16:52):
It works, Like you got to put in your work.

Speaker 7 (16:56):
Yeah, it's a different time. I think that like kids
these days don't think that they need to, like you said,
put in your time and then take get a better situation.
They just want the better situation right away, which maybe
they're just smarter than us. Okay, it's gonna jump right
to it.

Speaker 1 (17:10):
So then that's where I can shift too, because then
I'm like, well, maybe they got to figure out because
look at me I work. I am like I've burned
out way too many times, but I still push through
and I don't think it's healthy.

Speaker 3 (17:22):
Like, girl, my hair has fallen out.

Speaker 1 (17:24):
Yeah, I came to work two days after my dad died,
Like I, you don't. So it's like, do they have
the balance and we just are not picking. I don't know.

Speaker 3 (17:33):
I can go either way.

Speaker 1 (17:34):
Honestly, it's a tough one. So I would love those
firm opinions. I want to know where you stand. Are
you kind of like, no, they totally got it figured out,
or do you think, like sorry, they need to pick
it up and get better at work ethic. Give us
a call. I really want to hear from you. Six
o two two six oh oh nine six ' nine.
That's six oh two two six oh oh nine, six

(17:56):
' nine. That's some new radicals. I'm mixed, May sixth nine,
The Valley's Best Mixed. Priscilla here in the middle of
our hot topic, and we're asking you when it comes
to the younger generations, like you know, people in their
early twenties, do you think that they have good work
life balance or do you think they lack work ethic?
That's what everyone's talking about on the internet right now,

(18:17):
and we have McCall on the phone.

Speaker 3 (18:19):
McAll.

Speaker 1 (18:19):
What do you think, I would say the work ethic.

Speaker 10 (18:22):
I think kind of a lazier.

Speaker 3 (18:24):
What would you describe as lazier? Like, what do you
why do you think that?

Speaker 10 (18:27):
I think it's used to being on phones all the
time and just getting what they want all the time.

Speaker 1 (18:33):
Do you have a personal experience with someone younger that
you've like witnessed their work ethic?

Speaker 10 (18:38):
I would just say my husband has younger siblings, and
so I think just being around them all the time.

Speaker 1 (18:45):
I can see that, especially when you know how you're
and your husband work and then you're seeing them not
do the same thing. It can probably be frustrating. Thanks
for that, McCall. But here's where I defend the younger generation.
I do think they are on the side thing, okay,
because like, be honest with yourself, like, really ask yourself this,
how many times have you gone into work kind of

(19:08):
frustrated with the lack of boundaries. Maybe you're being taken
advantage of, maybe you're not being appreciated enough, or you
think you're not getting paid for all the work you do,
or maybe you have that vacation time that you never
take because you feel like you can't miss work and
then you're burnt out at the end of the year.
So like I kind of appreciate or maybe I'm envious

(19:30):
of the fact that they're like, no, sorry, not for me,
and I don't think.

Speaker 3 (19:35):
We can do that.

Speaker 1 (19:36):
Let me let me know if you see that perspective,
like do you kind of ride for that gen z perspective?
Give us a call either which way, whatever side you're on,
give me a call right now. I want to hear
from you. Six h two two six h nine six
' nine. Hosier is going to be at our iHeartRadio
Music Festival in Las Vegas, and we have your chance

(19:57):
to win tickets at eight thirty this morning. We're in
the middle of our hot topic and we're asking you
what do you think of the work ethic of this
new workforce slash younger generation. Do you think that they
are breaking the mold, creating a better environment for work
life balance or do you think they lack work ethic?

(20:17):
So we have Mandy and Phoenix on the phone. Mandy,
what are your thoughts on this?

Speaker 11 (20:21):
I think that the younger generations that are kind of
creating this divide of work ethic are the ones that
saw their parents have that toxic work ethic and they're like, yeah,
I'm not going to do that to myself.

Speaker 1 (20:32):
I totally see that because that's what we do, and
they see how grumpy we are when we come home,
and they're like, yeah, I don't want that life.

Speaker 11 (20:40):
I think it kind of sucks because I think it's
okay to take a mental health day even though I
myself kind of, you know, have that toxic work ethic
and I'm there when I'm sick. I'm there, you know,
whenever I think, if you're getting overwhelmed and it's starting
to effect your words, please take that mental health day.

Speaker 1 (20:58):
You know what's so funny you say that because I
actually advocate for mental health days and staying home when
you're sick. But then I ask myself, would I do
that if I was having a really terrible day, would
I call out? I don't think I would. And then
I sit here and think, well, what does that say
about me? You know?

Speaker 11 (21:16):
No, I I.

Speaker 1 (21:18):
Know, I know. Well, thanks Mandy. If that doesn't help us, right,
we're still we're.

Speaker 3 (21:23):
Still like, oh dang it.

Speaker 1 (21:25):
But I appreciate you because it helps kind of just
understand a little bit better.

Speaker 3 (21:29):
But thank you, of course, have a good day YouTube.
Bye bye.

Speaker 1 (21:32):
Let's move on to Mark, Mark and Peoria. What's your
opinion on this hot topic.

Speaker 12 (21:36):
You know, honestly, I can see both sides, but I
think these skits have to figured out. I'm only in
my thirties, but I have stepkids that are twenty two
and twenty and I mean my twenty year old son,
he busted his butt all through high school, went to
a college, and now he's making almost as much money
as I do, and he calls off, you know, if

(21:56):
he's sick or if he's having a bad mental health day,
because he has those. But the employers these days they
respect that. I mean they ask you, hey, what's your
work life balanced like? And what can you accept and
what can you take on?

Speaker 3 (22:10):
No, it's so true.

Speaker 1 (22:11):
And you know, I read a study too that shares
that nowadays, the version of wealth for this new generation
isn't a paychecker how much money you have in your
bank account. It's more so about how much free time
you have and how much you're able to do your
own thing while still being able to live.

Speaker 12 (22:29):
I'd agree. I mean, my kids have better relationships with
some of their friends than I had because I was
busy off making money, trying to get.

Speaker 1 (22:37):
That trying to get that bag, Mark, trying to get
that bagh. Well maybe, you know what, maybe after all this.

Speaker 3 (22:44):
We can learn a thing or two from the younger generation.

Speaker 12 (22:48):
I definitely agree with you, But I think these kids
that they're onto something and we need to sit back
and let this new generation teach us a thing or
two about life.

Speaker 3 (22:56):
Heck, yeah, all right, thanks, Mark, appreciate.

Speaker 12 (22:58):
You yeah, I have a good day too.

Speaker 1 (23:00):
All right, let's move on to Briann in Phoenix. Brian,
what's your opinion on this hot topic?

Speaker 8 (23:05):
And So I grew up with a good old cowboy
dad who grew up on a ranch. They got up
extra early and worked really hard for everything that they had,
whether they were sick or not. And so I was
thought to have really good at hard work ethic. And
so I have tried to teach that to my kids.
But there is something about this generation that if something

(23:28):
is too hard, they're like, no, it's not for me,
Like they're just they're not willing to do the hard stuff.

Speaker 6 (23:35):
A lot of the time, I.

Speaker 1 (23:36):
Will say this, Stephanie, is that I have had this
conversation with my husband where, you know, as parents, our
whole goal is to make our kids life better than
our life, right, But in doing that, we have taken
away all of their adversities, all of their obstacles, And
then when it comes to go out into the real world,
it's like, wait.

Speaker 3 (23:56):
I didn't grow up with inconveniences.

Speaker 1 (23:59):
What do you mean I have to be inconvenienced in
the real world. Yeah, And so part of me sometimes
I tell my husband I'm like, you know, of course
I don't wish that my kids grew up the way
I did, But I think that because they didn't face
those same challenges, they don't know any better.

Speaker 8 (24:15):
Yeah, they need to struggle. They need to know what
it's like to struggle.

Speaker 3 (24:19):
Well, that's what my husband said.

Speaker 1 (24:20):
He's like, we need to make our kids struggle in
a controlled environment, Like we don't want them to quite
literally not be able to have groceries or buy their food,
but we need them to know what it feels like
to work hard and only have four dollars in the
bank account, to understand the privilege of money, Yeah, and
appreciating it.

Speaker 8 (24:39):
I have more appreciation for it also the hard work
to get it there.

Speaker 9 (24:42):
The Priscilla Show is powered by Parker and Son's Heating, Cooling,
Plumbing and Electric.

Speaker 3 (24:47):

Butter Jelly Time flavor for the first time since two
thousand and nine.

Speaker 3 (25:04):
Talk about throwback.

Speaker 1 (25:06):
It's part of their promotion for the movie Transformers Revenge
of the Fallen.

Speaker 3 (25:10):
I don't know how the to correlate butt. I'm here
for it and it's out in October.

Speaker 1 (25:14):
Speaking of snacks, NFL stadiums are serving some of the
weirdest foods this year, including our very own State Farm Stadium.
They have the cotton Candy Burrito. At and T Stadium
for the Cowboys have the pizza Burger. Not gonna lie
interested in that, and then the New Orleans State Saints
the super Dome they have the Okay, how am I
gonna say this? Turk duck in loaded potato, which is

(25:38):
a baked potato and it gives a real meata mashup
with turkey duck and chicken.

Speaker 3 (25:43):
No thank you, I'm going to pass.

Speaker 1 (25:44):
If you want to see more of these weird snacks
on our instagram at Mixed ninety six to nine FM.
Speaking of weird, Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga got an
eleven minutes standing ovation for the Joker movie in Venice.
And the reason I say it's weird is because, like
why eleven minutes, Like, really, think about how long you're
gonna be standing and clapping are Like how uncomfortable for

(26:06):
Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga. They already seem socially awkward
and like they hate attention and very introverted. I bet
you they were dying on the inside. But it does
make us even more excited to see this movie. Uh,
speaking of dying on the inside, I am dying on
the inside. Sid, I know you are dying on the
inside at this Lana del Rey story. She likes to

(26:27):
keep us guessing because it seems like she is dating
this quote unquote Louisiana alligator swamp man named Jeremy.

Speaker 7 (26:36):
Swamp tour director Jeremy. It's a normal guy.

Speaker 1 (26:40):
So weird. So at first these photos were circulating, it
looked like they were just like on a tour and
people were making stuff up.

Speaker 7 (26:46):
Yes, But day nineteen, she went on a tour with
her girlfriends and met this guy. There was a photo,
but she posted it more of like I'm in Louisiana, Yeah,
something fun.

Speaker 1 (26:55):
But then these rumors started they were dating or it
was like no way, and then she steps out on
a weekend at a wedding with him as her date.

Speaker 7 (27:04):
A very high profile wedding by the way, that Travis
Kelcey and Taylor Swift were at after like a day after,
she was denying rumors that they were dating on social media.

Speaker 3 (27:13):
So I think she's just messing with Okay, I was.

Speaker 1 (27:15):
Gonna say, do you think it's like a like she's
messing with us A totally joking.

Speaker 7 (27:18):
I mean I think they're dating.

Speaker 1 (27:20):
I can't see. I'm the wedding day is serious, but
I'm thinking she's like, screw it. If people want to
think we're dating, I'm gonna play a game.

Speaker 3 (27:27):
Maybe I don't know. You guys gotta she's mysterious. You
gotta see this photo. We'll post it on our Instagram.

Speaker 1 (27:33):
Right now at Mix ninety six nine FM, okay, we
have your chance to go to our iHeartRadio Music Festival.

Speaker 3 (27:40):
Give me about uh four minutes and then I'll hook
you up.

Speaker 8 (27:43):
With your chant.

Speaker 1 (27:47):
It's Mix ninety six to nine in the Valley's Best
Mixed Priscilla here and it's time for the vibe check,
and said, tell me if this passes the vibe check. Uh.
Watching game shows like Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune and
can boost brain health. So it basically says that it
enhances problem solving, memory, mental acuity. I don't even know

(28:09):
if that's right work. But it also helps with reducing
anxiety and loneliness and just basically your overall health. How
do you feel?

Speaker 7 (28:17):
I think absolutely. I love a trivia game, so do
I play along? Keeps it sharp.

Speaker 3 (28:22):
My only thing is I will.

Speaker 1 (28:23):
Say about Jeopardy specifically, is that the questions feel a
little older for me, Like, give me some pop culture.

Speaker 7 (28:29):
I know. I'm excited to see the New Wheel of
Fortune with Ryan Seacres. Yeahbe he'll make it a little fresh.
So it premiered last night and I saw it and
it's actually really fun. It does freshen it up, It
makes it lighter. It is more youthful, which it definitely needed.
So I'm excited to kind of catch Listen. I've never
been a big game show person, but I will watch now.

Speaker 3 (28:51):
It's on so early. Yes, I think part two.

Speaker 7 (28:53):
And I saw a story that Vana White has only
repeated address once in all of her years of being
on Wheel of Fortune.

Speaker 3 (29:00):
That crazy pay fashion icon.

Speaker 1 (29:02):
I know. Well, if you want to catch it the
new era of Wheel of Fortune tonight, you can also
win a trip to our iHeartRadio Music Festival, and he's
gonna give you Ryan Seacrest would give you like a
behind the scenes tour and it's gonna be super cool.

Speaker 3 (29:16):
So check that out.

Speaker 1 (29:18):
Wheel of Fortune Abra Levine Mixed ninety six to nine,
The Valley's Best Mixed. Priscilla here sid I'm still like
my jaws on the floor with the secret lives of
Mormon wives.

Speaker 3 (29:31):
On her reality TV or something new, something new.

Speaker 1 (29:35):
Okay, let me first and foremost say this has nothing
to actually do with anything about their religion.

Speaker 3 (29:40):
No, Like this does not represent the religion at all.

Speaker 1 (29:44):
It is more so like I would classified as a
Bravo Housewives franchise more than anything.

Speaker 7 (29:48):
About these influencer mom groups.

Speaker 1 (29:50):
He exact hashtag mom talk yep if I hear the
word mom talk one more time, they say it so much.
But the thing that really blows my mind is how
how involved the husbands are in this show.

Speaker 7 (30:04):
I told you they're gonna get in there and it
is very cringey to watch and I so I'm bad, but.

Speaker 1 (30:11):
I here's my heart. The hard part is like, no,
without giving too much away, like they go on a
girl's trip to Las Vegas and two of the husbands
decide to join the girls trip.

Speaker 3 (30:20):
First of all, Ick, I know I would.

Speaker 1 (30:24):
First of all, if my husband insisted on going to
a girl's trip, I would remove myself from the girls trip,
and then my husband and I would have problems back
at home.

Speaker 7 (30:33):
Well, and the one brings her husband and she gives
him a credit to go gamble with because she's the breadwinner.
And then the other one, I kind of get why
he's there because his girl is thirty six weeks pregnant,
but she should.

Speaker 1 (30:44):
Not be going on a girl trip at thirty Like,
you're thirty six weeks pregnant, Would you be going to
a girls trip in Vegas right now?

Speaker 7 (30:49):
Absolutely not, thank you, But I mean, who the othery're filming,
so I don't know what that requires. But here's the
other all cringey.

Speaker 1 (30:58):
The other part two is that the got so but
her that the girls went to a Chippendale's male review
show and they didn't even go.

Speaker 3 (31:06):
They were just in the lobby. They didn't even experience
the show.

Speaker 1 (31:10):
So we asked this on Instagram my Instagram, specifically at
Priscilla on air. Do you think it's a big deal
that these group of wives went to a Chippindale slash
Maile review show.

Speaker 3 (31:22):
Or the guy's overreacting. You know, the guys are overreacting,
That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 7 (31:27):
I mean, one husband went is far to say that
like she's a bad mom and that he wants a
divorce and he'll be packing up his stuff when he
gets home. And I'm like, the girl that pays for
your medical school with her TikTok career, you're gonna divorce her,
the girl that pays the boos and two of your children.

Speaker 3 (31:44):
Yeah, he's trash.

Speaker 1 (31:46):
Sorry.

Speaker 3 (31:46):
Yeah, if you want to see it, it's on Hulu.

Speaker 1 (31:49):
It's number one called The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
