Speaker 1 (00:01):
Ninety six nine in the Valley's Best Mix Forriscilla. Here,
it is time to award our good human. We've partnered
up with Geneva Financial home Loans. We do that every
single month, and this month, I'm so excited that we're
gonna call Miss Hall's class because Miss Hall was nominated
by her friend Tiffany Silber for being an exceptional human.
(00:22):
So you nominated Miss Mandy Hall. Can you tell me
who she is to you?
Speaker 2 (00:27):
First?
Speaker 3 (00:28):
Miss Hall? She was high school teacher for both my daughters,
a high schooling men or my oldest daughter's freshman year,
and she just my girls just loved her. She helped
them through so much, through the pandemic and everything, and
she's just an amazing person, amazing teacher.
Speaker 1 (00:49):
We already know how hard teachers have it, so when
they're able to overcome all that and also leave an
incredible impression on students and parents like they deserve the world.
Speaker 3 (00:58):
Yes, I mean, and it's not my kids. During graduation
announced speeches, her name was mentioned several times by several
kids about how she helped them through high school. She's
just such a great person.
Speaker 2 (01:11):
So Miss Hall is a teacher at Dobson high School.
Speaker 1 (01:14):
And so what we're going to do is we're going
to take a quick break and then not only are
we going to call her, we're going to call her
while she's in class with her students and Tiffany, you're
going to explain to her why you nominated her.
Speaker 2 (01:25):
Okay, okay, all right, Hank Tyke, don't go anywhere.
Speaker 1 (01:27):
We're gonna do that in just a few minutes right
here on Mix ninety six nine. Good morning, it's Mix

six nine to the radio station. Hi.

been trying to get a hold of you for like
thirty minutes.
Speaker 3 (02:14):

Speaker 4 (02:15):
Told me to answer my life.

So we have this thing on our show called the
Good Human Award, and every month someone gets nominated for
being a good human. Now, do you know a woman
named Tiffany Silber?
Speaker 5 (02:33):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (02:33):
I do.
Speaker 2 (02:34):
Tiffany.
Speaker 3 (02:34):
You want to say hi, Hello, what are you doing.
Speaker 2 (02:41):
Tiffany? Do you want to explain what's going on? Why
you nominated?
Speaker 1 (02:45):
Ms?
Speaker 6 (02:46):
Hall?
Speaker 1 (02:46):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (02:47):
Okay, So you know that you've been such a special
part of both my girls' lives and so many other
students' lives, and you have so many kids talking about
you and how you've helped them through school. And I
just thought you deserved this nomination because you're such an
amazing teacher. Oh gosh, thank you.
Speaker 2 (03:08):
I know I'm crying, dude.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
Here's the cool thing, Miss Hall, is that it's not
even just being nominated and acknowledged. Geneva Financial Home Loans
in Mix ninety six nine are going to hook you
up with nine hundred and sixty nine dollars. What oh what?
Speaker 6 (03:26):
No food.
Speaker 2 (03:30):

Speaker 4 (03:33):
Oh by the class food. Oh my goodness, Oh gosh,
I don't even stop.
Speaker 2 (03:38):
Looking at me. You got to tell your class what
just happened. Well, they're all looking at me, so can
you put me on speaker?
Speaker 7 (03:46):
Sure?
Speaker 2 (03:47):
What's up?
Speaker 8 (03:47):
Guys?
Speaker 1 (03:48):
Your teacher was just nominated for the Good Human Award
and she's getting nine hundred and sixty nine dollars for
being so amazing?
Speaker 2 (03:57):
Is she crying?
Speaker 1 (04:00):
You what?
Speaker 2 (04:04):
I love it?
Speaker 1 (04:05):
Well, I we just want to say thank you so
much for being such an incredible educator. I was telling
Tiffany that you guys are dealt some type of cards,
but you make the most out of it and leave
such an impression on these kids.
Speaker 3 (04:18):
Thank you so much to me. Oh gosh, ah, we
love you. I love you. You guys are amazing.
Speaker 2 (04:27):

Speaker 1 (04:38):
To just go to Mix ninety six nine dot com
and to the keyword good cute.
Speaker 2 (04:43):
It's Mix ninety sixth nine in the Valley's Best Mixed. Priscilla.
Here it is time for what's trending brought to you
by Hila River Resorts and Casinos. Football season is officially underway.
Speaker 1 (04:54):
Last night, the Kansas City Chiefs took the field with
the Baltimore Ravens. It went down to the wire literally
was about to have a tied up touchdown, but one
toe prevented it all. I will say Taylor Swift was
looking smoking hot there to support her man, and she's
(05:15):
probably really happy that they won this season opener. And
then our Arizona Cardinals are playing the Buffalo Bills on
Sunday at ten am.
Speaker 2 (05:22):
Can't wait for that kickoff.
Speaker 1 (05:23):
The Barbie Truck dream House Living Tour it's making its
way to Arizona a few stops throughout the valley. September
fourteenth at Arrowhead Town Center in Glendale, in Scottsdale quarters
September twenty first at Santan Village and Gilbert, and then
October third through six at the Arizona State Fair, So
make sure.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
You check that out.
Speaker 1 (05:43):
A West Valley mom is raising concerns about her daughter's
pe class being held outside in extreme heat, resulting in
her daughter overheating. So Azy believe it or not, has
no legal requirement for schools to follow heat safety guidelines,
although recommendations do exist.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
But the mom moved her daughter.
Speaker 1 (06:01):
To a new school and is advocating for stronger protections
for students during extreme weather.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
And I couldn't agree more.
Speaker 1 (06:08):
I mean, it is so dangerous to be outside in
high temperatures, especially doing exercise and physical activity. I know
at my daughter's school, when the temperature is above like
one hundred and ten, they cancel recess and they don't
let kiddos go outside because it is unsafe. So maybe
this mom is gonna lead the way from some for
some new laws to be put into effect.
Speaker 2 (06:31):
Although new laws to be put into effect. Droid what
are they called droids? No drones? I don't know. I
cann't think of that.
Speaker 1 (06:38):
Drones should not be allowed to fly over concert stadiums.
Or maybe that's already a lot and they just broke it.
But that's what happened last night at the Green Day concert.
They were on stage performing and there was this little
thing in the sky and for safety precautions, they rushed
the guys off the stage. Come to find out someone
was flying a drone over the stadium. Trying to figure
(07:00):
out who it was why it was only stopped for
a short amount of time, but then they were brought
back on stage to finish the show. All right, it
is time to hook you up with your tickets to
Universal Studios Hollywood Halloween Horror Nights. If you want that
four pack of tickets, give us a call now. Six
oh two two six hh nine six ' nine. Teddy
(07:21):

Priscilla here and it is time to play American Aidol.
Speaker 2 (07:28):
We got to sit in the studio to cheer on
Janine and Chandler. Good morning, Janine, good morning. Are you

Speaker 1 (07:37):
Are you ready to play for your chance to win
those Universal Studios Halloween Horror Night tickets? I am ready.
Speaker 2 (07:44):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (07:44):
All you gotta do is guess what song Ai is
singing and then you and your tickets.
Speaker 7 (07:49):
Okay, sounds great.
Speaker 2 (07:52):
Here we go. All the girls stump your feet like this.
Speaker 1 (07:55):
A few times have been around that track, so it's
not just gonna happen like that, because I ain't no
holoback girl.
Speaker 2 (08:01):
I ain't no haloback girl. All right, what song is
Ai singing? Hall aback girl?
Speaker 8 (08:08):
Gwen Sefani, Congratulations, you are going to Universal Studios, Hollywood
Halloween Horror Nights awesome. Thank you very much, of course.
Speaker 1 (08:21):
Hang tight, Okay, I will say this. Sid Ai still
sings better than I do. Yeah, all right. On the way,
Halsey is out with new music. The song is called Ego.
We've listened to it all morning, and I'm so excited
to play it for you because not only is it
a good song, the lyrics are like top tier ten
(08:44):
out of ten. It is She's always got something good.
So we'll do that around seven thirty. Right here, I'll
mix Good Morning. It's six sinety six to nine, the
Valley's best mixed Priscilla. Here, we're gonna have your chance
to go to the Dbacks game coming up just around
eight thirty this morning. But sid inflation has been the
top of everyone's mind, and it's just such a trag
on our economy, I know, but.
Speaker 2 (09:07):
There is one good thing coming from it.
Speaker 1 (09:10):
Inflation is causing married men to cheat less an affair.
Speaker 2 (09:14):
In this economy, no thank you, I guess.
Speaker 1 (09:18):
The rising inflation has led to sixty four percent drop
in affairs because men can't afford to buy luxury gifts
in hotel stays for their women or their mistresses, I
should say, and they can't afford the jewelry, the roses,
basically the things that come with having a secret life.
Speaker 2 (09:37):
I was just gonna say.
Speaker 5 (09:38):
Is that what comes with it? Are they getting all
these extravagant gifts? I suppose I don't know.
Speaker 1 (09:43):
Well, I mean thinking sugar mama, sugar natties, sugar babies,
all the things.
Speaker 2 (09:48):
I mean. Great, I'm glad.
Speaker 1 (09:50):
I can't depend on the strength of our love, but
I'm depending on the inflation.
Speaker 2 (09:56):
Like it's too expensive? No, thank you? All right, the okay,
we have our hot topic.
Speaker 1 (10:01):
Speaking of expensive, one woman made a twenty thousand dollars
mistake and now she could be getting evicted.
Speaker 2 (10:09):
And we got to know whose fault it is.
Speaker 5 (10:11):
It's unreal.
Speaker 2 (10:12):
We'll do that in two.
Speaker 1 (10:13):
Songs right here on Mix ninety six to nine. But
here's some Benson Boone beautiful things. Taylor Swift looking like
a hot mama at the Chief's game last night.
Speaker 2 (10:22):
I'm sorry, I don't care what anybody says.
Speaker 1 (10:24):
I love Taylor Swift and Travis Kelcey has a couple.
All right, it is time for our hot topic, and
today is a mistake that a renter made and people
are trying to decide if it's the landlord's fault or
the renter's fault.
Speaker 2 (10:40):
Listen to this woman's story. Put, I think you're down.
Speaker 6 (10:43):
If you've been been mowing your landlord for the last
year for your rent, your security deposit, all that, and
you just found out that you've been mowed the wrong
person for the last thirteen months.
Speaker 2 (10:56):
You've actually never been mowed your landlord.
Speaker 6 (11:01):
And that person never told you that you were been
mowing the wrong person, and your landlord never realized that
you weren't paying your rent. And so now you've paid
eighteen thousand, five hundred and eight dollars to a random
financial advisor in Ohio who claims that his heroinatic sister
has spent all the money, and your landlord wants the
money right now. So you have to move out of
(11:24):
your apartment within a week so you don't get evicted.
And now they're going to file a lawsuit against you
for eighteen five eight dollars.
Speaker 1 (11:33):
So everybody's online going back and forth asking, all, right,
whose fault is this? Is this the landlord's fault or
is this the renter's fault? Sid what do you think
I mean?
Speaker 5 (11:41):
Technically she made the mistake of the Venmo.
Speaker 2 (11:46):
I'm putting it on the landlord. I got to it's
it's his property. At the end of the day, everybody,
everything falls back on the landlord.
Speaker 5 (11:52):
It's so odd that he didn't reach out to her
after the first month and say, hey, I didn't get
to rent exactly.
Speaker 1 (11:57):
And then I'm thinking, if you're that loaded, you're not
gonna notice twenty k for a year, then maybe you
don't need to pay charge for rent. But then, like
if I was hurt as the rent, I make sure
I have a confirmation slash receipt for everything.
Speaker 2 (12:12):
Yeah, which luckily she did it through Venmo, but that,
like I mean matter. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (12:17):
Also, who's being rent through Venmo? That's a little odd
to me. Yeah, okay, So that's the question. Whose fault
is it?
Speaker 1 (12:24):
Is it the landlord's fault, is it the renter's fault?
If you are either, or what would you do or
whose fault would you put it on? Give us a
call right now. Six oh two two six oh oh nine,
six nine. That's six oh two two, six oh oh nine,
six nine.
Speaker 2 (12:41):
It's six ninety six y nine.
Speaker 1 (12:43):
The Valley's Best Mixed Priscilla here, and that's what we're
talking about right now.
Speaker 2 (12:46):
For our hot topic is money.
Speaker 1 (12:48):
This woman accidentally sent her monthly rent to the wrong
person for eighteen months and the landlord barely noticed. And
now he's like, where's my money? And she's like, what
do you mean I've been sending it to you? And
he's like, no, you haven't. Long story. Sure the person
she's been sending it to will not return it because
it's been over a year, and now her landlord's victim her.
(13:11):
So the question is whose fault is it. We got
Michael on the phone. Michael, what do you think?
Speaker 3 (13:16):
So the person that sent the money needs to double
verify that they're sending it to the right person.
Speaker 5 (13:22):
That's kind of on you.
Speaker 1 (13:23):
Yeah, my thoughts are Okay, First of all, how loaded
is this landlord that you're not going to notice twenty
thousand dollars just not in your bank account?
Speaker 3 (13:31):
Yeah, that's a that's a big number.
Speaker 2 (13:33):
So so isn't it on the person to ask for
their money?
Speaker 1 (13:36):
Man?
Speaker 4 (13:36):
I can kind of see that, But still the other
person needs to make sure that the money's fokes.
Speaker 2 (13:40):
In the right place.
Speaker 1 (13:41):
Listen, we can all tell that you're going to be
a hardcore landlord. If you need to be all right,
if you have any opinions, maybe you're in the opposite
train where you're like, no, this is all on the landlord.
Give us a call right now. I want to hear it.
Six to oh two two six oh oh nine, six
' nine. It's fix scinety six nine The Valley's Best mixed.
Priscilla here in the middle of our hot topic, and
(14:01):
this woman accidentally sent her rent to the wrong person
via Venmo for a year, but she didn't realize it
until her landlord told her a year later and was like, Hey,
why haven't you been paying rent all year?
Speaker 2 (14:14):
And she's like, what are you talking about? And he's like,
we I haven't gotten it.
Speaker 1 (14:18):
And she tried to show him receipts and he's like,
you've been sending it to the wrong person.
Speaker 2 (14:22):
And now he's trying to evict her, which is wild.
So whose fault is it?
Speaker 1 (14:27):
Is it her fault for not realizing she was sending
it to the wrong place, or is it his fault
for not contacting her. We have Bertie on the phone. Bertie,
what's your opinion on this hot topic? Hi?
Speaker 4 (14:39):
Well, I just wanted to start off by saying I
paid rent through Venmo, and I actually did the exact
same thing where I sent the wrong person my rent,
but I immediately texted my landlord because his Venmo first
of all, was like this weird scutchy like three letters
and two numbers kind of Venmo. And so I texted
(15:01):
him and I was like, did you receive anything? And
he was like, no, I didn't. I think he sent
it to the wrong person. So for me, I just
called Venmo right away and I let them know I
sent it to the wrong person, and they were able
to just like give me my money back, and then
I was able to give that to my actual like person.
Speaker 1 (15:22):
Okay, so what you're saying is this girl was not
diligent enough to make sure that her rent is getting
to her landlord.
Speaker 2 (15:29):
So it's kind of on her.
Speaker 1 (15:31):
A little bit.
Speaker 4 (15:32):
But I also a thousand percent believe it's on the
landlord because the only reason I freaked out about it
was because my fiance was like, this looks strong. Otherwise
I would have just let it be.
Speaker 2 (15:46):
I would have just.
Speaker 4 (15:47):
Been like, no, I sent it to him. He's fine,
he's good.
Speaker 2 (15:50):
Oh.
Speaker 4 (15:51):
Fance was more diligent about it, and he was like, no,
you need to like double check that this is the right.
Speaker 2 (15:57):
Person, Okay.
Speaker 4 (15:58):
Otherwise the landlord should have let her know, like I'm
not getting your rent. Who goes that long without checking in?
Speaker 1 (16:07):
That's what I'm saying. It's like, who, what's happening? How
did this happen? Like that's why I don't have any
sympathy for you in this economy.
Speaker 2 (16:16):
You think I'm gonna feel bad for you that you
don't notice twenty thousand dollars is missing? No, thank you?
Speaker 1 (16:22):
All right, banks, Bertie have a wonderful days. See. Yeah,
let's move on to Sharon. Sharon, what's your opinion on
this hot topic.
Speaker 7 (16:31):
Honestly, I think it's everybody's small. If your sister has
a substance abuse issue, then you're monitoring your account so
you know that money is going into your account every month,
and if you don't say anything, then you're gonna get
yourself in a lot of trouble too. So I believe
that if the landlord is doing her she can probably
(16:52):
see the person she's been sending it.
Speaker 1 (16:54):
Oh okay for basically stealing money, like you literally know
it's like you know when banks at incidentally like put
in your bank account one point five million dollars and
it's like a glitch and you're like, that doesn't mean
you have one point five million dollars. That means like
you've got to let someone know. So this guy should
have been like, wait, I'm not supposed to get this
amount of money, so I need to let someone know.
Speaker 7 (17:15):
Absolutely, And come on, think about it. Who doesn't realize
they're getting fifteen to twenty five hundred dollars every month
for a.
Speaker 2 (17:22):
Year exactly exactly.
Speaker 7 (17:25):
So yeah, I believe that it's everybody's fault.
Speaker 1 (17:29):
So if I'm going to put it in order of
whose fault is it is, I would say the guy
that didn't say he was getting venmo for free. Then
I would say it's the landlord's fault, and then it's
the renter's fault.
Speaker 7 (17:40):
Well, the renter and the landlord are kind of an
equal fault, but the person receiving the money is at
major fault. He knows this money is coming from somewhere
and he's just like, heyday, you know, And then he's
blaming it on his sister, who has substeemed to be
his issues. So why does she even have access to
his account.
Speaker 1 (18:01):
Exactly like let's let's everybody needs to take responsibility. But
at the end of the day, we don't want anyone
to get evicted for this mistake.
Speaker 7 (18:10):
Absolutely, because let's face it, the economy. Where is she
going to find an apartment?
Speaker 2 (18:15):
Poor girl? Well, I hope she gets a figured out.
Thanks sharing, that was really helpful. I appreciate you. Have
a great day. All right.
Speaker 1 (18:22):
On the way, we have your tickets to the DBAGS game. Plus,
Katy Perry gets vulnerable. She's a little chaotic, and you
think this girl is a lot, but then she breaks
it down, gets soft and we'll explain how in about
fifteen minutes on Collective Soul kicking off commercial free music
on Mix ninety six ' nine. Priscilla here. So, sid
(18:43):
Katy Perry is kind of chaotic.
Speaker 5 (18:46):
Very chaotic, honestly in the recent videos I've seen of her,
I'm a questioning and she doing okay.
Speaker 2 (18:52):
A little unhinged honestly. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (18:54):
And she's always been out there, super eccentric, just like
the center of the show.
Speaker 4 (19:01):
Right.
Speaker 1 (19:01):
Yes, she's been with Orlando Bloom for a really long
time too, and he's more of a quiet confidence kind
of guy.
Speaker 2 (19:07):
Yes, one of those artists.
Speaker 1 (19:09):
Yeah, and she opens up in the newest episode of
Call Her Daddy with Alex Cooper and actually gets vulnerable
on why that dynamic works.
Speaker 2 (19:19):
But one of his strengths are when I crumble, he
can step in and be that anchor. Amazing because I'm
usually just alpha alpha, you know, I'm like Destoster and Dostoster.
I got this. I don't need any help, but actually
I do need help.
Speaker 5 (19:32):
I do need a partner.
Speaker 2 (19:33):
And I made Oh Katie, I went on a.
Speaker 6 (19:42):
Guided journey the other day, and for as strong as
I am, I was like, no, I do need I
too need.
Speaker 2 (19:53):
I do have needs.
Speaker 1 (19:55):
I do to help.
Speaker 2 (19:56):
Sometimes I love how she has to whisper It's like
I need help. I think honestly, ten out of ten
all women can relate to that.
Speaker 5 (20:05):
I love seeing Katy Perry like drop the facade for
a second, just express herself like that was very real.
Speaker 1 (20:13):
Yeah, because how many women out there are like independent,
do it all, take care of everything.
Speaker 2 (20:19):
I got it, no worries.
Speaker 1 (20:21):
But in reality, like, we do need love, we need assistance,
we need help, we need support all the things. And
when more people like Katy Perry acknowledge it, I think
more women also acknowledge it, and they're like, wait, she's right.
Speaker 2 (20:35):
I'm gonna lean on my partner more than I have been,
and I.
Speaker 5 (20:37):
Think it shows that they're probably gonna last. Yes, because
you got to find the right person.
Speaker 1 (20:42):
To handle listens, someone that I am a Katy Perry adjacent.
Let's be real, I am chaotic in my own right,
and my husband the way he just like deals with.
Speaker 5 (20:53):
It is quite the skill set all on its own.
And then for you to be able to like accept
the help or you know exactly. So shout out to
Katy Perry for showing her vulnerable side. If you want
to see that little clip, will put it up on
her Instagram stories right now at Mix ninety six nine FM.
Okay on the way, not only do we have Stacy's
mom got it going on, I also I'm gonna play
(21:15):
some Creed for you, and I've got a four pack
of tickets to the d Bags just around eight forty five.
Speaker 1 (21:22):
Good morning, It's Mixed ninety six nine, the Valley's best mixed.
Priscilla here, So sid you are, I would call a
transplant right to Arizona.
Speaker 2 (21:31):
How long have you been here? A little four and
a half years. I think, oh, wow, does it feel
like home?
Speaker 1 (21:36):
It does?
Speaker 2 (21:37):
Okay, good.
Speaker 1 (21:38):
I've been here my entire life, and I will say,
it's been about eight years since I changed the way
I pronounced this city.
Speaker 4 (21:47):
That's a word.
Speaker 2 (21:48):
You pronounced it incorrectly one time, and it still haunts
you to this. You're from Arizona, you'll understand this one.
How do you think you say it? I used to
say it Prescott, but it's actually Prescott. Did you know
that I was gonna say? I would say Prescot? It okay,
and that's right, that is correct. Changed.
Speaker 1 (22:05):
Well, we used to have an intern and I've said
