Speaker 2 (16:54):
For the women in music, what was your inspiration for
coming up with this line, Erica, Well.

Speaker 4 (17:02):
Actually I was in Florida and I was like, I
need to get something going. I wanted to be creative
and I want to I feel like it's really important
for women to support women, and especially in the music industry,
because sometimes it is a little bit of a man's
world out there. I love all of the local artists,

(17:22):
but it's getting really saturated and it's sometimes it's really
hard for us to get to get gigs. And I
was talking to a few of the women about it,
and they we were on the same page, and I
was like, maybe I should create a show, you know,
just to show that we all support each other and
it's not a competition. It's it's just all all inclusive

(17:43):
and just show off everybody's talents and supportful.

Speaker 2 (17:48):
Strong, strong lineup too and still to come on this show.
We have one of your original songs, yes, that you
recorded at the green Room a couple of years ago.

Speaker 4 (17:56):
I did, yeah, years ago.

Speaker 2 (17:58):
And we're going to feature the band that Amy Simpson
is in in the Central pennsylvanis call a fame Blitz
Die Net. We're going to do that. But up next
we're going to feature Natalie Ness after the break.

Speaker 4 (18:11):
Oh she's great. They all are great.

Speaker 2 (18:13):
Oh yeah, yeah for sure. Did anybody that you reach
out to have a conflict or any second thoughts about
doing it? Where they just all in right away?

Speaker 4 (18:23):
Yeah, I was. I remember I was laying in bed
and I was at my aunt's house in Florida, and
I messaged everyone. I was like, I need to do
a women in music show. First I messaged Dustin and
then once he was like, yeah, let's do it. Then
I reached out to everyone that day and everyone's like yes, yes, yes.

Speaker 2 (18:41):
Yes, And I'm not surprised to tell you how strong
this area is with female talent. I mean this is
just a sampling.

Speaker 4 (18:48):
Yeah, I got another one in September, So yeah.

Speaker 2 (18:52):
Women in Music Part two come in this fall, so
