Speaker 1 (00:00):
If you work in the trades and you've had to
get revenge because somebody didn't pay their bill, what happened
a five to five grave zero. We're bringing this story
up because a bar called a plumber after having a
blocked pipe. The plumber came out, cleared the pipe, charged
them two hundred and ninety bucks. But then three days
later they had the same problem, so they called the

(00:21):
plumber and he charged them nearly double for emergency services.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
So this was the first thing in a voice, basically
explaining all the work he did, and then it's the
second one basically doing the same exact work, and he
charged his double.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
So it didn't stop there. The plumber came back after
not getting paid the second time, put a balloon inside
the pipe, thus clogging it, and would only remove it
if he got paid.

Speaker 3 (00:45):
I don't have a magic wand I can wave and
remove all of the garbage and debris from the drain line.

Speaker 4 (00:49):
We can snake it, we can verify that it's open
and working correctly, so we did.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
If you work in the trades, can you share with
us how you got revenge of non payment?

Speaker 5 (00:59):
Eight five to five grave zero.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
I think two things can be true right. I think
it can be not cool for him to do this,
but it's also not cold that he didn't get paid.

Speaker 5 (01:08):
Correct, definitely.

Speaker 4 (01:09):
Look, I've dated a lot of blue collar guys and
they will do this Like I did a guy who
did fencing. One time someone didn't pay. He went out
his team, ripped up the fence. I had a friend
who was an electrician and he told me people didn't
pay their bills. He was like, all I'm gonna say
is you can tell if you go up into the
attic And I'm like what And he would say that

(01:31):
they would literally use the bathroom in there, And I
was stunned, WHOA so this? I could care to pay those.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
If you work in the trades and you've had to
get revenge against non payment, what happened?

Speaker 5 (01:44):
Eight five five graves zero.

Speaker 6 (01:47):
Well, you were talking about the whole How do you
get even if you don't get paid.

Speaker 5 (01:52):
A porch porch?

Speaker 2 (01:56):
How you even do that?

Speaker 6 (02:00):
Well? I know somebody back many years ago that was
hired to build a port for somebody, and they gave
them the money up front to buy the materials, and
they gave them like five hundred dollars toward their labor
so they went ahead and they built the port, and
then for like six months they didn't get the rest
of their money, and they kept trying and kept trying
and couldn't get the money out. So they went over

(02:20):
there when the people were on vacation and hooked the
log chain to the port and repod the port.

Speaker 5 (02:26):
So because the person.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
But because the person gave money for the materials, did
they then disassemble it and leave all the wood there?

Speaker 6 (02:34):
Yeah, Basically they just kind of pulled it loose from
the house and left it out of the property because
they did pay for it, right, you didn't finish paying
me for my labor.

Speaker 5 (02:43):
So there's a consequence. It's a great story.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
Well, thank you very much. We appreciate your time.

Speaker 6 (02:49):
Well, you're welcome. You have a great day you too.

Speaker 5 (02:53):
It's how country are you? On the Spencer Grave Show, Darien,
where are you from?

Speaker 6 (02:58):
I'm for raggling albat all right.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
Give us on a scale of one to country, how
country are you?

Speaker 5 (03:03):
I'm just gonna say, fly by it three or four? Wow?

Speaker 1 (03:07):
Really living in rag Well that's the middle of nowhere
between pill City and Gadsten.

Speaker 6 (03:12):
I know it just I guess it depends on the day.

Speaker 1 (03:16):
Well, we're hoping for a good outcome today. Megan's gonna
ask you three questions. We'll give you a score at
the ad.

Speaker 5 (03:21):
Good luck, Thank you, Darien.

Speaker 4 (03:24):
Tell us the nickname of a small boat that shares
a name with the Bible verse three sixteen.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
I'm not a best uh oh, I.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
Know even I tried to figure out where you were going,
but I think I got it.

Speaker 3 (03:41):
Yeah, I was gonna say a beast boat, but uh,
you never heard of you.

Speaker 4 (03:49):
That's what I was saying.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
We'll make it easy for you. It's a John boat
John three sixteen.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
But I know John, but I've never heard of that boat.

Speaker 5 (03:59):
I never heard of three sixteen either.

Speaker 4 (04:01):
So come on, Darred, we gotta get you up of
a three.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
She's gonna she's got this right here.

Speaker 4 (04:07):
Tell us what's an item that would make an imprint
in a Southerner's jeans.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
Dip can perfect easy, fast without even taking a break.

Speaker 5 (04:17):
Pocket knife can do the same exact thing. Here we
go a.

Speaker 4 (04:21):
Wallet because there's never just one key on the keychain.
There's always like a never you're doing an okay job.

Speaker 5 (04:30):
Here's the final question, Darien.

Speaker 4 (04:32):
Okay, what are some seemingly normal activities that Rednecks think our.

Speaker 5 (04:37):
Hobbies rotted.

Speaker 4 (04:42):
Fishing.

Speaker 6 (04:47):
It can be a hobby building.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
Fires, blowing up your grandfather's ashes with Tanner.

Speaker 4 (04:53):
Right, that's a blowing the yard or doing just a normal.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
A lafe flow in the yard.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
Oh wow, all right, Darien, you're four and a half today. Yeah,
she's like, I'll wake up tomorrow.

Speaker 5 (05:11):
I'll definitely be a little more country than I am today.

Speaker 1 (05:13):
Hey, Thomas Rhett, we're bringing them to town and we're
gonna make sure you're there. Okay, I'll take that. Cynthia
Gotier is joining us. She's the driver, the driver for
Lucas Oil Stabilizer, part of Monster Jam. And I just
heard this is your first time in Alabama.

Speaker 3 (05:30):
It is my first time after ten years touring with
Monster Jam. So this is a really exciting moment.

Speaker 1 (05:35):
Well, welcome to Alabama. What did you hear about Alabama
before you got here?

Speaker 3 (05:39):
Well, I mean I watched Sweet Home at Obama, you know,
and I mean definitely the accent. I cannot wait to, like,
I get to experience some of the accent, a.

Speaker 5 (05:49):
Good old Southern accent.

Speaker 1 (05:50):
Yeah, you don't get too much of that here except
for Blair Blair has a little more of a southern,
kind of southern bell sounding accent, just a little bit.

Speaker 5 (05:58):
But we're happy that you're here.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
It's interesting because you don't expect, and I think a
lot of people are this way. You don't expect women
to be the drivers of Monster Jam. But you told
me an alarming fact that it's almost half now.

Speaker 3 (06:10):
Yeah, I mean not half, not quite, but it's coming.
It's slowly. We have more girl every year, and we're showing,
you know, we had girl winning a lot of tours
and you know, showing that we can do it too.

Speaker 1 (06:21):
I love it. I think it's great. How did you
get into Monster Jam?

Speaker 3 (06:25):
I mean, I have nobody racing my family, but I
started racing dirtbike when I was eighteen years old and
I never looked back. I went from Mirocross to offer
racing to Monster Truck and it's probably come from my dad.
He's a mechanic and used to bring me to NASCAR
all kind of race and I always was a big fan.

Speaker 1 (06:44):
Little known fact Megan is a diesel mechanic for the
US Army.

Speaker 5 (06:47):
Yeah, that's impressive. I love it.

Speaker 1 (06:50):
So whenever we have a Supercross or Monster Jam or anything.
It's like our resident gearhead is right over.

Speaker 5 (06:55):
You're very excited.

Speaker 4 (06:56):
I'm very excited to see Monster Jam this weekend, so pumped.
Is it different like when you are in the monster
trucks versus like the other stuff that you've done. What
is it like is do you have a favorite, a
preference or moster.

Speaker 3 (07:11):
Jem truck is definitely on top of my list. I mean,
there's nothing compared to that. One of the cool thing
is you actually drive the front wheel and the back
wheel separate, so it's kind of weird for some people.
You actually have joystick that control the back wheel and
the front steering for the front. And just how high
you are on the Monster Gem truck and how you
know fast you can go. The power is so quick

(07:33):
fifteen hundred orse power, so when you go for a backflip,
it's just full power for a quick second and it's
just like, I don't know, there's nothing replaced that feeling.

Speaker 5 (07:41):
That's so cool. You talk about the height.

Speaker 1 (07:43):
You guys are outside this weekend in Birmingham at Protective
How different is it running outside compared to indoors in
an arena.

Speaker 5 (07:51):
I love outside.

Speaker 3 (07:52):
I mean the atmosphere of the crowd everything, and I
love the fact that sometimes the weather kind of play
a challenge. You know. We love you know, I love
playing in the mud. I think kids love to see
the truck playing in the mud, so I love, you know.
I love the fact that the dirt's also different. I
saw the dirt is like a little bit more red here,
so I think it's going to be actually alb.

Speaker 5 (08:13):
It good traction.

Speaker 2 (08:15):
You had this look on your face that you've got
some tricks up your slaves since you are going to
be outside.

Speaker 3 (08:20):
Yeah, I mean it's kind of funny. I just came
back from having a baby last year, so this year
was a challenge for me to start the season kind
of rough. And now I'm back to getting some victory.
Two weeks ago, I got my first racing victory of
the year.

Speaker 5 (08:34):
So I'm on a roll. I want to win. I
want to show that.

Speaker 3 (08:37):
Girls can do it too, And you know, it's an
honor for me to be here, and I appreciate every
you know, competition I get to do. So I'm here
and like it's my first time here, so I want
to leave, you know, a good impression.

Speaker 5 (08:51):
With her. That's the big well car Sie right in
the back. It's perfect. So here's what I want to do.

Speaker 1 (08:56):
I want to play you a couple of clips of
the intro music of some of the Monster Jam trucks.
I'm only going to give you a second because you
should know these, and then you need to tell me
what truck it is.

Speaker 5 (09:07):
You're ready, I'm ready, El Tor Luca, she got that.
How about this one the Shark Megaladon and then this
one's time.

Speaker 3 (09:24):
I was like, it's definitely going for grave Digger.

Speaker 1 (09:27):
See I knew that when she found out my last
name was Graves. I was like, she's gonna say gravedigger,
but I went with yours. So you guys can see
Cynthia this weekend at Monster Jam Protective Stadium right next
to the BJACC in Birmingham. It's going to be an
awesome time. Thank you for stopping by, Meghan. I think
in early October you're going to have to make a
trip to Ocean City, Maryland. Why the Country Calling Festival?

(09:50):
Have you heard about this? Blair in the headliners and
the list of people that are going to be there?
No Carrie Underwood on that Friday night in Brooks and Dunn,
Luke Bryan on Saturdy, Luke Comb's on Sunday. John Party
is going to be a part of it. Tucker Wetmore
is going to be there, Leanne Rhymes, Zach Top flat
Land Cavalry Why known to Judd, and then co Wetzel

(10:10):
is going to be there along with Gavin Adcock and others.

Speaker 4 (10:13):
I love that lineup. Obviously, I love Kowetzel, but I
have to say, ever since it came out that he's
having his first child with his girlfriend he's apparently had
for years, in yars and years.

Speaker 5 (10:22):
I'm a little jealous. I'm not gonna lie.

Speaker 4 (10:25):
I mean so real, Like I feel like I'm on
a call a co Lowell because of that.

Speaker 5 (10:30):
I'm like in the rumors that, oh.

Speaker 4 (10:32):
Did they secretly get married? Blah blah blah, I'm like, what.

Speaker 5 (10:35):
The heck, dude, does that really happen?

Speaker 1 (10:37):
If you find out that your favorite artist has maybe
quote really moved on in life and they no longer
become the vision of the hall pass that you have,
does that change it for you?

Speaker 5 (10:47):
Like Blair?

Speaker 1 (10:47):
Would it change your opinion of Kenny Chesney if he
actually got married and stayed in a long relationship.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
I remember when he married renee Zehwegger where I was
when my friend. I haven't spoken to this girl and years,
but her name was Caroline Wallace, and she literally she
text me she might still be local to Alabama. She
text me and told me Kenny Chesty just married Renazel Wicker,

(11:14):
and I was shattered. I was at the Decatur High
School basketball or baseball field watching my brother and I
was hurt.

Speaker 5 (11:22):
But I mean, you raise cell phone that you had.

Speaker 2 (11:26):
It was a pink razer.

Speaker 1 (11:27):
It was a pink.

Speaker 2 (11:29):
And uh yeah, it was definitely life changing for the moment.
But I quickly got over and then he got over
that marriage, so it all worked.

Speaker 5 (11:35):
Out for me.

Speaker 1 (11:36):
David, you should mess with Blair about Tennessee and Alabama
winning last night.

Speaker 5 (11:42):
Why are you laughing?

Speaker 3 (11:44):
Miss Blair?

Speaker 2 (11:46):
I did tell her role time.

Speaker 5 (11:48):
Last time it worked, they set a record.

Speaker 2 (11:51):
By the way you feel like, do you feel like
by you saying those two words that it did indeed work?

Speaker 5 (11:57):
Like you think that that helped?

Speaker 2 (11:59):
Okay, Well, then are so confident, man, why don't hold
on I'm having a conversation. Then if you feel so
confident in your ability to speak words and good things happen,
then give me a go ball never will. Don't you
want don't you want me to be happy?

Speaker 4 (12:15):
Shouldn't it be like a give and take, you know,
like if one of me says, then both have to
we can nicely exchange.

Speaker 5 (12:26):
I'll tell you what.

Speaker 1 (12:27):
Maybe David will give you a go Valls if they
set the record of most threes made in March madness
like Bama did?

Speaker 5 (12:34):
Would you do that? Workout is on that He's like,
it won't happen. So I'm good.

Speaker 2 (12:42):
Okay, Well, you know what. I look forward to you
calling on Monday and us being able to further this discussion.

Speaker 1 (12:49):
David hit us with a little roll tide. Thank you, buddy,
appreciate it.

Speaker 2 (12:54):
Are you sick your sch
