Speaker 1 (00:00):
Dino's family recently went to the beach, he his wife,
his son, and his daughter. His son ended up getting
both his ears pierced. His daughter got her belly button pierced.
A lot of people think they're just living.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
Out a phase. Maybe they are.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
What was the phase that you lived out that you're
so happy you outgrew eight five five Graves zero Dino?
You lived out a phase when you were younger?

Speaker 2 (00:21):
What was it?

Speaker 3 (00:21):
We have pictures and when I started dating her, I
had frosted blonde tips.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
Why did you do that?

Speaker 3 (00:26):
Because it was the justin Timberlake era, Ryan Cabrera, all
these pop guys, and I started I got into a
weird bucket hat phase.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
It was it was so bonkers.

Speaker 3 (00:36):
We've got We've got pictures of me with Hawaiian shirts
and frosted blonde tips coming out of buckets.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
It was a weird time.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
What's the embarrassing phase that you remember going through? It's
the deal that everybody was doing at the time, and
you locked in. I am not afraid and not ashamed
to say that I had plenty of puka shell necklaces.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
Had those two the jagged ones. They were awful, and
you know where I got.

Speaker 4 (00:58):
Him at I got them at the beach.

Speaker 5 (01:00):
Of course you did.

Speaker 6 (01:01):
Mine were those bubble shirts that like they look like
they fit a baby, but then they stretch out.

Speaker 5 (01:05):
Do you remember those nus?

Speaker 4 (01:06):
They look like paper scrunch all.

Speaker 6 (01:08):
Of yes, yes, And I had every color, every design,
and that did not need to be on a chubby blair.

Speaker 5 (01:14):
Okay, Like it was a lot going on.

Speaker 4 (01:16):
There was a lot going on.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
It looked like the paper that you use at the
convenience store to pick up a donut.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
Is that how it ended up looking?

Speaker 7 (01:22):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:23):
Can I jealous? I always wanted one of those shirts.
I really thought that I was like a little seen
girl in high school, so like I had a short,
choppy haircut. I wore a lot of stripes, random people's
beanies and it's always like purple jeans. I don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
Wait, were you wearing the beanies when it was actually
warm outside?

Speaker 4 (01:40):
We were insidled?

Speaker 6 (01:43):
They got.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
Everybody's got embarrassing moments. I'm expecting Isaiah, your son to
come home when he's thirty, pull the ear rings out and.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
Then you're gonna go did you have fun moving?

Speaker 7 (01:55):
Not phase?

Speaker 3 (01:56):
Not only that, like he's he's wearing like bell bottoms,
and he'll go thrifty, get jeans with like dragons on
the back as that's now, and then he'll wear but
then he'll wear shirts like I wear, like dad shirts
when you're mowing the lawn on a set, or he'll
he'll put them together. I don't even know who you
are right now.

Speaker 5 (02:12):
No purple jeans, No purple.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
Jeans, don't make it.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 5 (02:15):
All right, I'm shipping some to your house for your daughter.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
Sounds like your son's going to be wearing.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
Them, giving you all the warm fuzzies and whatnot.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
It's the good good on the Spencer Grave Show.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
Well, I know one kid that's going to get a
lot more presents than her siblings for Christmas.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
Her name is Talia. She's fourteen years old.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
Her dad, her dad, who is a doctor, actually went
into cardiac arrest.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
He was having a heart attack.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
That's when Talia jumped in, performed CPR on him for
twenty minutes and saved his life.

Speaker 6 (02:50):
Oh my god, is incredible. She deserves all the gifts
all the time.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
She has a built in excuse for anything. He's like,
go upstairs, clean your room. She's like, I saved your.

Speaker 4 (03:00):
Life in twenty minutes of CPR like she's like Superwoman.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
Congratulations, way to keep her dad here.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
He was later diagnosed with a rare heart condition that
he had no idea was actually happening inside his body.
Since it's race weekend at Talladega, I always like to
quiz Blair on her knowledge of NASCAR, because Blair says.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
She knows nothing about NASCAR. There's cars, how'm involved? How
many are out on the track at one time?

Speaker 5 (03:33):
Eighteen? M okay over forty, so there are eighteen?

Speaker 4 (03:41):
She's right about that.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
Yeah, here's what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna make it
easy for you.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
There are some famous dads and sons that have raced
in NASCAR. I'm gonna give you the famous parent. I
need you to tell me who their son is. Okay,
Richard Petty, who's Richard Petty's famous son.

Speaker 5 (04:00):
Derek Petty?

Speaker 1 (04:01):
Close, Kyle Petty sad? All right, easy one for you.
Dale Earnhardt, who's Dale Earnhardt's famous son.

Speaker 5 (04:08):
Dale Earnhardt Junior.

Speaker 6 (04:09):
Nicely done, Thank you so much, Thank you so much.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
Bill Elliott, who is Bill Elliott's famous son John Elliott? No,
it's a racing name. Though Chase is what he named
his son, Chase Elliott.

Speaker 5 (04:23):
Of course he will even original.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
Last night was the NFL draft.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
You had two players from the Crimson Tide going in
the first round, Tyler Booker and also Jihad Campbell.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
Some congratulations to them. I don't see anybody from tennis.

Speaker 5 (04:39):
Yes you did, Yes, he did, Yeah you did. Looking
down here, Jor going to the.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
So we need to get into our draft and the
way we're going to draft, hope. There it is is
we're going to draft the best candy bars. So if
it is picked by somebody, you cannot pick it again.
Blair will start off the draft. You have pick number
one and candy bars Snickers.

Speaker 5 (05:04):
Duh?

Speaker 2 (05:07):
I mean come on, that goes okay? Meghan, you have
pick number two.

Speaker 4 (05:11):
Am enjoy. What is the best candy bar?

Speaker 5 (05:15):
And this is why my husband loves you.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
The best candy bar?

Speaker 4 (05:19):
Yeah? Hands down? Wow, hands down?

Speaker 1 (05:21):
Okay, since you took Snickers off the board, I'm gonna
go with Nesley Crunch.

Speaker 6 (05:28):
Crunch.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
All right, here we go round number two, Blair.

Speaker 5 (05:32):
I have to go with Hershey's Cookies and Cream.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
Oh going away from the original.

Speaker 6 (05:39):
Yes, Hershey's Cookies and Cream for the win. Megan, Reese's
Easter eggs.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
Is that a candy bar?

Speaker 4 (05:46):
It's yeah, Reese's is a candy bar. But the Easter eggs, Yeah,
the Easter eggs shaped ones different than the regular ones.

Speaker 2 (05:55):
Uh, KitKat on mine?

Speaker 4 (06:00):
Like any of the choices?

Speaker 2 (06:01):
Judgment here?

Speaker 1 (06:02):
All right, here we go round number three. Blair, you
have the first pick.

Speaker 6 (06:07):
I'm going to go with I've got two in mine,
but I'm gonna land on payday.

Speaker 4 (06:13):
Dang it. I was gonna use that one, Meghan, dang it. Okay,
let's see here. What's a good candy bar?

Speaker 8 (06:22):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (06:23):
I really like the peanut butter m and ms.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
Those are candy bars.

Speaker 4 (06:29):
Candy bar was like in the same category candy bars.

Speaker 2 (06:33):
It's got to be a bar of candy, not individual
little things.

Speaker 5 (06:37):
Okay. Can we expect any different from Megan?

Speaker 4 (06:42):
What about have we said butterfinger yet?

Speaker 8 (06:44):
No?

Speaker 4 (06:45):
Okay, that's my but the minis it's the minis.

Speaker 5 (06:47):
The minis, okay, because the big ones are different.

Speaker 2 (06:51):
Okay, all right, I'm gonna go with the Three Musketeers.

Speaker 4 (06:54):
My gosh, this is horrible choosing these.

Speaker 1 (06:59):
I was able to check off something from my bucket list.
I think a lot of people have a list of
things that they want to do before they die, and
it seems a little crazy because I'm forty two. Most
people think about their bucket list way later in life.
But this has always been a dream of mine and
I was able to check it off thanks to our
friends at Talladega. They put me in a NASCAR and
they let me drive around the track multiple times, not

(07:22):
like one little quick lap, and it was cool. I
nearly won one hundred and fifty miles an.

Speaker 5 (07:26):
Hour's ah, that is that's really cool.

Speaker 6 (07:30):
And this has actually been something that's been on my husband,
Steve's bucket list, and he had a chance a couple
of years ago, and I didn't let him. What I
was like, I am terrified that something could go wrong.

Speaker 2 (07:43):
Why are you stifling that man's fun.

Speaker 6 (07:46):
I just this and him wanting to jump out of
an airplane. I'm like, let's pick something else, like anything else.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
I've done both those things. They're both great, They're both
a blast.

Speaker 6 (07:57):
And I'm happy that you had a good time. But
I made my husband to stay on the ground, not
fifty an hour.

Speaker 1 (08:04):
Share with everybody, Blair, what's on your bucket list? I
can tell it's not going to be any fun.

Speaker 5 (08:08):
Okay.

Speaker 6 (08:09):
Well, last year I was able to mark all the
number one thing off my bucket list, and that was
to visit Saint John for the first time. And so
now and I don't know if it'll ever happen, but
I really want to go to Australia one day. I
want to go to Australia to it petting zoo and
pet a baby kangaroo in Australia.

Speaker 4 (08:29):
I think that would be amazing excitement.

Speaker 5 (08:33):
Face is just it's like top of my bucket list.
And again, poor Stephen Glenn.

Speaker 6 (08:41):
He doesn't know how long that flight's going to be,
so he's all on board for it until I start
giving him the details.

Speaker 2 (08:46):
I feel bad for that little kangaroo.

Speaker 1 (08:47):
I don't think that little kangaroo knows the aggressive pets
that are going to be coming into it. Meghan, share
with everybody one thing on your bucket list. Although you've
done some really cool stuff in your life already.

Speaker 4 (08:58):
Yeah, and although I haven't done the as the driver
around like Talladega, I did get the chance to do
their Richard Petty experience and sit in the car going around.

Speaker 2 (09:07):
So you didn't get to drive.

Speaker 4 (09:09):
No, I didn't, but probably good thing. I probably want
to blood pressures going up, but I'm just so excited
that you got to experience that because it is so cool.
On my bucket list, I've really been wanting to go
to Maine. I don't know why.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
I just like little lobsters.

Speaker 4 (09:25):
I want to go and I want to look over
to the ocean and just live my best I don't know,
fake like East Coast girlhood dreams.

Speaker 1 (09:35):
Well, Maine is cool and a great time to go
is the fall. So if you haven't booked a trip,
it's a good time to go. We would love to
hear one thing that's on your bucket list, either you've
already crossed it off or it's something that you aspire
to do. Eight five five graves zero. Why are you
talking about Iceland?

Speaker 9 (09:51):
Well, I hate the cold, but I mean it's just
that's sort of oak.

Speaker 2 (09:57):
Northern lights, Oh, the northern lights. See opportunity to see those.

Speaker 1 (10:01):
In Montana when I went on that el hunt, and
I was really impressed by what my camera caught compared
to I don't know if you guys know this, you
can't really see the northern lights with your naked eye that.

Speaker 4 (10:11):
Well, Yeah, remember when they shone over the state and
we were all like trying to get a glimpse.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
And yes, I'm yes, but isn't I.

Speaker 6 (10:24):
But isn't ice in one of the places that you
can see them with your naked like that's.

Speaker 5 (10:28):
Like one of the like prime places to see.

Speaker 4 (10:31):
Them with your naked eye. I totally make that up.

Speaker 5 (10:33):
Okay, okay, I think you can.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
You can see them with your naked eye.

Speaker 1 (10:37):
It's almost like a faint gas But then when you
take a picture, it's unreal how vibrant the colors are,
even when you're in Iceland in different places.

Speaker 9 (10:46):
Yes, sir, definitely, yes, sir.

Speaker 1 (10:48):
It definitely is what's keeping you from just booking a trip,
because I know that's probably what Blair's thinking.

Speaker 9 (10:54):
Well, I got a little girl, she's year and a
half old, she's got now, I get you.

Speaker 1 (11:01):
Family is important, But you could always plan a trip
for you and your little girl to go there and
see the Northern Line.

Speaker 6 (11:09):
To get me a little older so she can remember
it when Yeah, that would be so cool.

Speaker 1 (11:14):
Yeah, there is nothing worse than bringing your kid to
a place that you want him to remember something and
you're like, you don't even know how to tie your shoes.

Speaker 4 (11:21):
Just remember, though, if you take her there, this is
like a very obscure fun fact for you. But don't
let her put her hair into those springs. Apparently it
will screw up your hair so bad, like a permanent
rats nest.

Speaker 5 (11:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (11:35):
Wow, Yeah, I definitely all right, dust an awesome day.
Kill me for hurt the dollar.

Speaker 1 (11:46):
No, you don't want to do that at all, Thanks, buddy,
I take it. The NFL Draft went down last night
for a Round one. Big stories that Shudur sanders Dion
sanders Son did not get selected in the first round
even though he put together They're this ridiculous home draft room,
which was I am so.

Speaker 2 (12:07):
It was absolutely wild.

Speaker 1 (12:08):
We've already drafted a couple of things, the best candy bars,
the dog breeds that we like, and now we're going
to go with restaurant appetizers. These are all appetizers that
you can find in restaurants, you know, not just what
your mama makes, but what they do at Chili's in
Texas Roadhouse and places like that. I get to start
off this round, which is going to be super awesome
because I'm going to go with the bloomin.

Speaker 4 (12:29):
Onion MM never actually had one.

Speaker 5 (12:32):
Really damn Wow, we'll change that.

Speaker 4 (12:35):
We'll change that.

Speaker 1 (12:36):
I think your life will change for the better. Blair,
You're up next.

Speaker 6 (12:41):
Hello, Queso Chips and Queso at the Mexican Rustaurant.

Speaker 2 (12:45):
That's perfect. That's a good one that you can find
that in a lot of good places.

Speaker 4 (12:49):
Yes, why did you have to steal that one? I
knew you were.

Speaker 1 (12:53):
Going to I had to take it while I could
playing defense, Megan, Round number one, best appetizer choose.

Speaker 4 (13:00):
Like a beer on tap, I mean, because that's what
I would get, an ice called bush light and tall glass,
Like that's what I would.

Speaker 1 (13:09):
If we were doing beers or drinks at a restaurant. Yes,
but we're looking for appetizers.

Speaker 4 (13:13):
Okay, probably like a spinach art, a choke dip.

Speaker 6 (13:16):
Dang it with the waffle fries.

Speaker 4 (13:21):
Ooh yeah, that is the best comany. Oh.

Speaker 1 (13:25):
Round number two on best appetizers that you can find.
I'm gonna go with the Texas cheese fries, which you
can find several places, but most notably at Chili's.

Speaker 5 (13:34):
Very very good.

Speaker 6 (13:35):
I used to live with my friend Mackenzie worked at
Chili's because I'd go and get those on a very regular,
basis perfect. Round number two, Blair, I'm gonna go with
buffalo chicken dip. Very few people have it on the menu,
but a lot of people will actually make it a
little tipp it. If they have anything buffalo chicken on
the menu, they will throw it in there.

Speaker 2 (13:53):
Is that a showstopper for you? You show up, you
look at the menu.

Speaker 1 (13:57):
You see that they have it, to immediately go, okay,
we need that of the table.

Speaker 5 (14:00):
Done deal, got it, Megan?

Speaker 1 (14:02):
Round number two, Best appetizers. Your pick nachos.

Speaker 4 (14:06):
I love a nacho, but I don't like to share
them because you know, it's kind of is.

Speaker 2 (14:11):
There a difference between nachos and loaded nachos?

Speaker 8 (14:14):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (14:14):
Well, if I'm ordering, it's gonna have everything.

Speaker 2 (14:18):
We're here, we go, final round.

Speaker 1 (14:21):
This is round number three of best appetizers so far.
I've got the Texas cheese fries.

Speaker 2 (14:26):
In the bloomin onion. I'm gonna go with the traditional
mazzarella stick.

Speaker 4 (14:30):
Dang it, yum, I'm hungry now I'm starving.

Speaker 2 (14:35):
It's a solid pick at number three.

Speaker 6 (14:36):
Okay, Blair, I'm going to go with another really really
really traditional one, and that's just the hot out the
oven yeast rolls that you can get at a lot
of the different steakhouses.

Speaker 5 (14:47):
Just a good yes, we.

Speaker 1 (14:49):
Can consider that appetizer because they bring them out for free.

Speaker 6 (14:53):
Sometimes it's a free appetizer.

Speaker 1 (14:58):
Money here, Megan, final pick in this round of best appetizers.

Speaker 4 (15:02):
I'm a really big fan of crabcakes. I love me
some really good crab cakes.

Speaker 2 (15:07):
That really depends on the place you go, though.

Speaker 4 (15:10):
As long as they don't make you sick, that's true,
and as long as you get more than just one.

Speaker 1 (15:14):
On the point I'm realizing though she orders that she
knows Blair.

Speaker 2 (15:18):
Will not have any of it because you hate seafood.

Speaker 4 (15:21):
Perfect and I'm going to order it.

Speaker 2 (15:24):
Can do, Megan Blair.

Speaker 1 (15:26):
So you guys know that over the course of the
last couple of days, we've been talking about Talladega and
how race weekend is coming up, and we've been trying
to find a car and a driver that would be
willing to put the Spencer Grave Show logo on the
back because we want to show people that we love
NASCAR and we want to be a part of it.
I have good authority that Nick Sanchez, the driver of

(15:48):
the number forty eight Big Machine Pickers Vodka car might
actually be interested in doing that.

Speaker 2 (15:54):
What's going on, Nick?

Speaker 7 (15:55):
How much doing good in you?

Speaker 2 (15:57):
We're doing great?

Speaker 1 (15:58):
So is it true that you would actually be interested
in having our show and radio station on the back
of your car.

Speaker 2 (16:05):
Yes?

Speaker 4 (16:05):
Of course, dude, that is awesome.

Speaker 2 (16:09):
Is this easy to do? Nick?

Speaker 1 (16:11):
No, Well, we're really excited about this. Tell us how
the season's.

Speaker 2 (16:18):
Been going for you. We want to make sure we're
on a winner, you know.

Speaker 7 (16:20):
Yeah?

Speaker 8 (16:20):
Thanks?

Speaker 7 (16:21):
Yeah, I think the season has been been going decent, right,
And I say that because I really don't believe we've
my team and my Big Machine Racing and forty team
has gotten the finishes we deserved. But but the speed's there.
And yeah, this past weekend, we know, we let me
a bunch of laps one on a stage, so we
have the speed and it's really just about getting in

(16:42):
the finishes where we stinks we get stack up.

Speaker 2 (16:45):
So we're excited. Saturday.

Speaker 1 (16:47):
Nick Sanchez is going to be in the Big Machine
Pickers Vodka Chevy Camaro and for this race, he's going
to be running under the Spencer Graves show logo, which
is going to be awesome.

Speaker 2 (16:58):
Nick.

Speaker 1 (16:58):
We can't wait to see it. Ladega a story track
for so many. We're glad you've had success there. Hopefully
you pull out a win this weekend for sure.

Speaker 7 (17:06):
Thanks for having me in excited for the weekend.

Speaker 1 (17:08):
The NFL Draft went down last night. Two players from
the Crimson Tide were selected. One from the volunteers was
taken in the first round.

Speaker 2 (17:17):
That's right, nobody from Alburn.

Speaker 1 (17:19):
Amazingly enough. But we are going to go over our draft.
We've already done candy bars. Now we're gonna do best
dog breeds. Megan, you get first round pick in this one.

Speaker 4 (17:29):
Illi, we have to think about this. I know German
shepherd top the list the premiere. Sorry, you guys can't
have them. I'm picking them all.

Speaker 1 (17:35):
It's all because she has a German Shepherd named Luna Bear,
who she absolutely loves.

Speaker 2 (17:40):
I'm going to go second. I'm going to go with
pit bulls.

Speaker 5 (17:42):
No shock, wow, I am so shocked.

Speaker 1 (17:46):
First choice, Blair, you don't have any dogs, So who
would you choose as your top dog breed?

Speaker 6 (17:53):
Well, growing up, I always had peekapoos. They're half poodle,
half pick andies. So I have to go with that
because I have so many great memories with a little
bit and precious.

Speaker 2 (18:01):
Did you put them in shirts?

Speaker 6 (18:03):
Yes?

Speaker 4 (18:04):
I did, imagine.

Speaker 2 (18:10):
Round number two, Megan, Dog breeds.

Speaker 4 (18:12):
I'm gonna have to go with Aba and you really
you they have little tails and the cute little faces
in their little ears.

Speaker 5 (18:21):
Did you?

Speaker 2 (18:22):
Would you ever get one?

Speaker 8 (18:23):
Though?

Speaker 4 (18:23):
They're not supposed to be very nice, but they're really cute,
So I choose it.

Speaker 2 (18:30):
Think about like one of your best friends.

Speaker 1 (18:32):
You're like, you're a Sheba and you you're really cute,
but you're not very nice.

Speaker 2 (18:35):
All right, here we go.

Speaker 1 (18:37):
Second pick from me, I'm going to go with the
good old classic bulldog.

Speaker 5 (18:41):
They're really really cute.

Speaker 2 (18:42):
Yeah, they are super cute.

Speaker 4 (18:44):
It sounds like you need tissues to go with your pick.

Speaker 6 (18:49):
I mean, are you surprised I've got to go with
a blue tick coonhound like Smoky.

Speaker 2 (18:56):
Okay, Megan. Round number three, your.

Speaker 4 (19:04):
Pick American wolf dog because they literally look so much
like Luna Bear of Just Wild and they've got the

It is different for Yeah.

Speaker 1 (19:18):
My third pick in best dog breeds, I'm gonna go

Solid choice.

Speaker 2 (19:24):
They're awesome.

Speaker 4 (19:26):
Yeah, they're very cute, Blair.

Speaker 6 (19:29):
If I were ever going to try to convince my
husband we needed a pet, it would be the Mini
Golden Doodle.

No, no where did every one of your dogs fit
into a purse?

on the side of the road and we turned it
into a chicken coop.

Speaker 1 (20:52):
One man's trash, there's another person's treasure. It's the redneck way.

Speaker 2 (20:56):
