(00:01):
Good morning, and welcome to FoxSports Nets Cavalcade of Sports with your hosts
Dean Martin, erless Aneviana Boys choir. No wait, I'm sorry, none
of them are here. It's justme. It's just Tank, No,
(00:21):
Dean Martin, no, Jerry Lewis. Sorry, Stubenville. I know you
got all excited there the second Imentioned Old Dino's name to you. Hey,
welcome to Well, we're in thattransition period from Steelers chalk talk into
golf and around. It's that sillypart of the year when you turn on
the NBC and the only thing youhave is poodle trimming going on. So
(00:46):
we kind of talk a little bitof mishmash of golf, Steelers and unfortunately
this morning I woke up the sadnews about Jake Gensel. Jake Genseil.
I can't believe it. I can'tbelieve the Penguins traded him. I don't
(01:06):
get it. I don't understand it. But who do am I? And
what do I know? You know, I was covering that Pens game I
think it was twenty sixteen seventeen season, remember that remarkable run. And the
big news is when Jake Genseil cameup, got his first gates for the
(01:29):
Penguins. His mother, his fatherwere there, big expectations for Jake Genseil,
and the kid delivered. The firsttime the puck touched his stick,
he flew down the boards, attackedthe blue zone. He attacked the goalie
(01:55):
with cheetah like speed. Score JakeGoinsel. I mean he wasn't on the
ice but two minutes step on banksof ahead to right there as Trevor Daley
and moved along for Kessel. Helooks left side. Shot scored. Do
(02:15):
you believe it? Jake gonzl hasscored his National Hockey League goal and his
first shot and there are his parentscheering him on. That's his dad on
the left, Mike Gonzel, whois a coach for the University of Minnesota.
What a way to start a career, Well, ask Mary Lemieux,
how about starting your career? Firstship, first shot? Are you kidding
(02:38):
me? Ends up the wall forKessels. He had a stick on it.
He falls down and Kessel carries itinto the Rangers zone. Kessel down
the wing from Bulkhead, good saveby Rod to Weave scored. O't no,
he did it again. Unbelievable thisis just too much. And look
(03:01):
at the reaction. Well, AustinMatthews scored force So don't stop now,
mister Gonzel. We're halfway there. It was against the New York Rangers.
It was only like a minute intoJake's debut man and he lit the Rangers
(03:25):
up. It was amazing. Thenhe scored again at the thirteen minute mark.
I mean, Jake Genzl was everythinghe was promised to be. He
has been a great teammate, hehas been an incredible Pittsburgh Penguin. I
(03:52):
mean, it's just incredible. Itwas April sixteenth, twenty seventeen, when
Jake showed up unbelievable, unbelievable. And again I don't agree. But what
do I know about the Penguins tradingGenzel. I just it's heartbreaking. I
(04:14):
mean we all know that this experimentto keep the band together, to keep
the band together, as they said, with Crosby, Latang and Melklin just
hasn't paid dividends over the last twoyears. Now, I'm not gonna put
that on the three superstars. Imean, Malkin season last year, completely
(04:38):
healthy, great season. I mean, if you're gonna keep sid Malkie and
Tanger together last season. In thisseason, you gotta build a team around
them. I won't even go offon Kristin jar Sorry at this point do
(05:00):
I need to? I mean, who amongst you listening to me this morning
here on Fox Sports Net Wheeling,Pittsburgh. I'm her Rose Tamlinger for the
Cavalcada Sports. You like that title, that's the name of the show this
week, the Black and Gold Cavalcadoof Sports. We're gonna talk some football,
We're gonna talk some Beenguins hockey. We're gonna talk some golf later.
(05:21):
So it's just a Cavalcada Sports DeanMartin Jerry Lewis. They sent me a
letter. They can't make it today. But the point is, if you
were gonna keep the band together thelast two years, the last two years,
(05:42):
you gotta support them. I mean, who amongst us knew that Jari
wasn't the answer this season? AndI don't want to hear about his stats.
I don't want to hear that. You know, he's not at the
bottom of the league. He's gotsome pretty good stat Jarry will fold like
(06:03):
a nineteen sixty two lawn chair you'vefound in your grandmother's garage. It's real
cute. It's one of those plasticthings from nineteen sixty two. But you
don't let fat uncle Larry sit onit. Are the things gonna break?
(06:25):
You know that about the chair. You knew it about Jarry going into this
season. Now, Carlson I wouldhave taken who wouldn't? Would you have
taken the roll the dice on Carlson? Who wouldn't have? I mean,
(06:46):
here was Carlson's opportunity of a lifetimeto come and support the three superstars,
and Gensel be the best Carlson hecould be, to add another weapon to
the arsenal, to the aging arsenalagain with Sid Milkie and Tanger the last
(07:12):
two seasons. You gotta build animpenetratable force around them. Defense, defense,
defense, goalie, goalie, goalie, and some other guys who like
to put the puck in the net. This has been two years, three
years of wasted opportunity. Am Italking about our Pittsburgh Steelers under Mike Tomlin
(07:40):
here? No, I'm talking aboutour Penguins. So I don't get the
Drake Gensel trade at this point unlessI'm not up to speed. It's Friday
morning when I'm recording this show,I know he's gonna have a good time
down there in Carolina. It's almostlike Pittsburgh South down there with the front
(08:03):
office with the Hurricanes. There's areal condunce between the Carolina Hurricanes and the
Penguins over the last several years withmanagement. But you know, staying on
Jake Denzil's wonderful career here in Pittsburgh, I hate to see him go.
(08:26):
I mean, you know, Milkie'sprobably gonna go next year. Tanger,
it's up to him if he wantsto keep playing. And my god,
two strokes, everything else that's happenedto him, and he's still playing at
a high level. Chris Latang's facegoes on the Mount Rushmore of Pittsburgh Hockey.
(08:50):
I'm sorry, it's right there nextto Mario Lemiu. Yeah, I
know you got to sit up theretoo. But when Tanger's career is done,
it will be remarkable. Remarkable.I mean for me, le Tang
(09:13):
goes on the Mount Rushmore and Ijust don't have four faces on the Penguins
Mount Rushmore. Obviously it begins, let me clasby then where does it go
from there? Did you forget aboutTom Barrasso. Huh you kids that weren't
around in the nineties. Oh yeah, he was surly. Yeah he was
(09:37):
kind of mean. Yeah. TomBarrasso didn't want bothered by you or the
Poress, but it did matter whenhe delivered you. Stanley Cups, No,
you gotta put Barasso on that MountRushmore. Oh yeah, a kid
that just came back to town acouple of weeks ago. Yaher hell would
(10:00):
have gotten rid of Carlson three weeksago, and let get paid Yaggs the
remainder of Carlson's contract to play. You would have got a better performance out
of Yaggs. Then you have Carlsonthis year. I mean, what a
bust. But as you look backat Jake Gotzel's career, I mean,
truly, truly, truly, justa remarkable, remarkable run for the young
(10:24):
man. Really, I hate tosee him go, you know. And
where do you rank Penguins fans JakeGetzel? I mean, so if Carlson
just sucks and has to go immediately, sid Yaggs and Lemieux are at the
(10:46):
top, and you evaluate the lastforty five years of Penguins hockey, where
do you put Jake Getzel, yougotta put him at the top, not
the very top, but the top. Phil Bork love me some Borky,
(11:11):
Al Samuelson love me some all food, didn't, Darius Gasperratus. You get
what I'm saying here. Jarry's gonnago down as a bust bust. I
don't even think Scranton would take himright now, So I trust that the
(11:35):
Penguins know what they're gonna do bysending an old Getzel down the road.
There, kids, young man,he's got ten to fifteen more years in
the league if he remains healthy.I mean, and he has been fairly
healthy throughout his career. The nineteenand twenty season, eh, well,
you know, he only played inthirty nine games that year, But the
(11:56):
rest of his career, I mean, he's been pretty much healthy. So
it is gonna stink to see thislineup for the rest of the season without
Jake in it. Trade deadline's notat Like I said, I'm recording this
Friday morning. You're listening to FoxSports Net Wheeling, Pittsburgh. I'm your
host Tank Tantle here for the whatI'm calling this Saturday morning sports cavel Gade.

got to thank rich Conwell for believingin the project two years ago when we
did a qualifier down at the WheelingCountry Club. In fact, one of
the players from the Wheeling Country Clubhas now qualified twice to win the trip

(15:46):
rough by Pabrovski. What a greatsay there it gets puts it in off
Pavroski. Yes, that's for theNHL. Well, Carter's been excellent on
the face offs tonight. Carter alongwith Ganz, who's got the pocket with
some shots. I've got his backfighters, Hey scars, cancel, he
(16:07):
suits, Hey scares its Gensel threeone Pittsburgh. I'm gonna do brain surgery
on him. God forbid. Centeringpass comes back to the point. Move
it for latag the rister deflect itdown low at the doorstep. They score
Genzl That is some sick hand.Tony Crosby to Rust try the pass blocked
(16:33):
by Hague. Crosby in front againreglection store. Jake Gensel says, thank
you very much and end. ThenAnderson and the Penguin's coming in numbers,
Latang driving play He'll drop it offThrust Gensel three shot scars. Jake Ginsel
(16:56):
let it rip as to listen tohis lee since a unique time when he
just said, you know, hejoked to Buffalo. He wasn't able to
come up across yet Rosby loose getsthe list, can't scard. Jake Gitsel
has the ice breakers a night forit was Connor Hallibut for the extra attacker
two and a half, just underto play. This could be trouble.
(17:21):
Ris there for the turnerund it's anthim, but they've got a lot of
people out of the lineup. Lameshave the second best penalty kill in the
NHL. Only Pittsburgh's is better.Yeah, play love of b the line
the stick in the slot. Weheard the boys in his store talking about
tox Suit from back in the daywith Packlins. Tie it up on the
(17:45):
drive from the right wing circle,Crystal tank all the way across. Rodriguez
comes back to Jumelin. Hard shotblock by Pearson and now they cut it
in Gimsel from the other side. There's tenth goal in ten games against Vancouver
on panda killing duties are in thebox when the Penguins' gold an opportunity here
(18:06):
and they store. It's Ginsel again, who's trying to get the puffs of
the blue line at it's held inby Gimsel. Thirty seconds to go in
the first penalty proskct Cancel shoots,he scores a hat trick for Jake Gmsel.
Goy's hustle prefense he sing, Larsonmoves it Rodriguez two on one with
(18:27):
kencel Kevin Rodriguez, there's cancel. They score Jake. All right, wakey
aggy go mc donalds, get yourshelved one them their hamburger, Rappi things
and some coffee and wake up ina Danish roll. Ye're less than a
Steelers chalk talk here on Fox SportsNet, Wheeling, Pittsburgh. I'm tank
Tantli here here every Saturday morning. Why I don't know, why, Why
(18:55):
Craig Boomer do you let me onthe air? I don't know. I
don't know. Maybe it's because Ihave something on you. Wink wink,
nudge, nudge. Be good, let me on the radio. Don't mess
with me, Craig, and nobodywill ever see the pictures. It's all
I have to say about that, mister Boomer. In case you didn't know
(19:18):
what I'm talking about, Craig's ourgreat station manager here. iHeart Wheeling Pittsburgh.
Craig Boomer, Corey Klugg doing agreat job every week working with my
eccentricities. Don't know what it means. Means I'm a little nutty, means
I'm a little crazy, missing somescrews. So I appreciate our home based
team Fox Sports Net, Wheeling Pittsburgh, Craig Boomer, Corey Klug helping me
(19:42):
out every week. But I swearto goodness you guys don't put me on
air, both of you. I'llrelease the pictures. I will release the
crack. And that's all I'm goingto say about that. Hey, so
we've been talking about the Steelers. We covered a little sense in the first
segment about TJ. Watt posting, but there's gonna be fifty two quarterbacks in
(20:06):
camp this year based on all thespeculation, and we are reading some of
your comments this week, guys thatyou leave on Steelers chalk Talk. Love
you guys for listening every week.Want to turn to something a little bit
serious now. We put up apost this week. It's on the internet
(20:29):
about the Steelers' point differential and winningseasons. And the meme basically says,
the Steelers first team in NFL historyto finish with winning records but negative point
differentials in three consecutive seasons. Now, Steelers fans, wrap your minds around
(20:56):
the fact. It's called a paradox. It shouldn't happen. Why is it
happening? Twenty twenty one and Steelersgo nine to seven and one, they
get lit up with the point differentialnegative fifty five. That year twenty twenty
(21:21):
two, they're nine and eight minusthirty eight point differential. They're getting hammered
man twenty twenty three, that waslast year. Knock allheads. Thank you
Mason Rudolph for win number eight, nine and ten. I don't do math
real well, but that would havebeen seven losses and at seven wins and
(21:49):
seven, eight nine, ten justreversed seven and ten, seven and ten
had it not been for Mason Rudolph. I hope he looks great in a
Raiders uniform. Second favorite all timeteam fans on Facebook road end because I
(22:14):
want your opinions, Fred Field said, nice job, Matt Canada. He
ain't right about that, wrong aboutthat, Greg Stossel, Because we keep
employing mediocrity. Well, Mat Canadaexplains the last three seasons, down it.
Well, tune a quarter for him. Well, Justin Carey said,
(22:41):
well, why the point Differentiro, because we can't score no points when we
win. It's my hair. Welose, we get blown out. He
might be right. Greg Brophy writesclassic definition of an underachiever, the talent
and skill set is enough to havesome success even when performance isn't at a
(23:04):
high level that wouldn't be necessarily beachieved by those with lesser ability. He's
right. We're loaded for offense talentat skill positions, not quarterback. We're
loaded on defense with some of thebest players in the league Minka TJ.
(23:25):
Cam, but they are still notperforming to their given potential, meaning the
Steelers. Mister Brophy writes, whena group underachieves, blame needs to be
placed on leadership. Tomlin gets thecredit for not having a lose in season,
but it is not how he isnot held accountable for the substandard results.
(23:45):
I got to go with that.I mean, that's what it hangs
on. I mean, this isa huge paradox again, three winning seasons
twenty one to twenty three in arow with point differentials of negative fifty five,
negative thirty eight, negative twenty. It don't make no nonsense, make
no sense at all. It ain'tnonsense, it ain't horse sense. It
(24:10):
don't make no sense. See.But I think and the tax's opinion is
this. It goes to an argumentthat I've been mad thinking. Let me
take a drink water. Ah,that's good, right out of the Ohio
River. I got that this morning. I dunked a jugger in there and
(24:32):
got it right out same river. What the guys that went west, Lewis
and Clark went down the Ohio havea drink out of it. Fish,
drink it. You should be ableto drink it too. So listen to
me about what I'm saying here.So for the last three years, there's
been victories, there's been winning seasons, but the point differential is horrible.
(24:56):
We're getting killed. This isn't justthe last three years. This goes back
to the Killer Bees error, andI think mister Brophy's comment is very relevant.
It goes to Tomlin. It goesto what all of us who see
it, those of you don't.I ain't gonna argue again, but those
(25:21):
of us who see it see it. It has been the greatest waste of
talent since the Killer Bees error thatI've ever seen in the NFL on any
team. That Killer Bees team shouldhave been to least two super Bowls.
(25:41):
The offensive line was the best inthe league. Thank you, Mike Munchak,
Please come home to Castro Pouncy Villanuevawill forever. They should just enshrine
them as a group into the Hallof fame. When the two nut jobs
weren't Nutty Le'Veon Bell and Antonio Brownand of course top ten quarterback of all
(26:10):
time to ever play the game inthe NFL, Ben Roethlisberger future Hall of
Famer, Where was the media andthe defense was good? Where was the
mediocrity at that point? The mediocritystemmed from Mike Tomlin when he hired a
man who never even played high schoolfootball, never played it down in college
(26:33):
football in Todd Haley. Now ToddHaley was bad. Lot of you and
Steelers Nation lately had been saying,oh my god, it wish Todd Haley
would come back. Todd Haley wasbad. Matt Cannabis the worst. But
(26:53):
it goes to the point. Whythat point differential in the last three years,
Brophy said it, Well, it'sleadership, it's coaching. Todd Haley
wasted your chance to go to asuper Bowl, wasted Ben Roethlisberger's chanced to
(27:15):
go to a super Bowl and winone out of two. I think they
would have done. Todd Haley washorrible. Now, you folks that don't
see it and understand it about Haley, I can't help you. I can't
help you your Monday morning quarterbacks, and that includes friends in the media all
(27:37):
mentioned his name. But I gota buddy over at Katie k and the
fan. He calls me the unserbecause I think Haley stunk. And that
goes back years ago. I didn'tknow what I was talking about. You
say potato, I say patata. Those of you know it. Todd Haley
wasted the Killer Bees error. I'llnever forget the miss yard and a half
(28:02):
to go. You got a sixfoot six two hundred and forty five pound
quarterback is mean a snot garden inBen Roethlisberger. You got a great offensive
line, did I mention pouncing andde Castro in front of you? Never
mind Foster on the other side andthe genius. With the game on the
(28:22):
line, Todd Haley says, Iwill smart out y'all of you. I
will smart out all you, andI will pitch the ball five yards to
the right into the backfield. Andthis will so confuse the events because they
will think Ben's sneaking it and weshall go on to victory and a Super
Bowl. How'd that work out? They sniffed it out in a R and
(28:45):
P. You still had a glimmerof hope with Fiekner, You still had
some glimmer of hope with the talentthat was on the team. Ben's elbow
goes kablooey. There goes that. Then you bring in, well, Mike
(29:07):
Tomlin brings in Matt Canada. Theworst of the three, the worst,
the worst, the worst. MaybeI don't even know how you qualify this
the worst OC in NFL history. And that's over one hundred years of playing
(29:29):
the game. Going back to myold LA Troupe YMC Wildcats. You know
La Trope, Pa, the birthplaceof pro football. Hell, the local
dentist on the team called a betteroffense than Matt Canada. But you have
to answer yours, ask yourself something. Mister Brothy points it out on our
Facebook page. Hey, you're listeningto Steelers chalk Talk here on Fox Sports
(29:53):
Net Wheeling. I'm Tank Taantlier hereevery Saturday morning. But again we gonna
be transitioning into that golfing around show. Can't wait. Mike Tomlin hired these
guys. Mike Tomlin ran Munchak outof town. I don't want to hear
(30:15):
he went to be with his family. Mike Tomlin ran Bruce Arians out of
town. Mike Tomlin ran Mike Gosh. The stupidity of getting rid of Dick
Lebow for Butler. That falls onTomlin. That falls on Mike Tomlin.
(30:37):
So as I began this rance,go to our Facebook stage Steelers Chalk Talk,
and there's a post I put upabout the Steelers point differential in the
last three seasons. Again twenty twentyone, we finished nine to seven and
one, a winning season with afifty five point negative differential. Twenty twenty
(31:00):
two, barely get a winning season. Nine and eight thirty eight point differential.
Twenty twenty three. You just sawit happen. Thank you, Mason
Rudolph. He doesn't come in,they go seven to ten, but he
comes in saves today, ten andseven, twenty point differential. You know,
(31:22):
I gona close this out with this, take a big step back for
this season. And the question iswhy winning seasons with point differentials. It's
Mike Tomlin. It's Mike Tomlin's coaching. It's his coaching decisions. Okay,
(31:42):
Matt Canada this season, let's justfocus on that. And I asked the
question, especially towards the end itbecame more relevant. I'm gonna take Deontay
Johnson out of the picture and we'regonna get to him, George Pickens,
Naugy Harris, Jalen Warren, PatFryarmouth. If I gave them to any
(32:08):
of the NFC teams that were inthe playoffs, and I'm gonna go with
the AFC teams too, except foryour Steelers, any of the NFC or
AFC teams that were in the playoffswould take that core group, especially offensive
(32:29):
players that we currently have, andthey would have made chocolate with them.
They would have made tasty cake withthem. They would have done something with
them. Could you imagine Jalen Warrenand Naugy Harris and George Pickens in the
(32:51):
Super Bowl for the Kansas City Chiefs. Now they won. They won with
a one man show and Kelsey.Could you imagine if the Chiefs would have
had Pickens, Nodgy in Jalen, they would have put up one hundred points.
(33:13):
Mike Tollin doesn't know what he has. Neither do we. Looking for
an inspiring place to golf, getaway to Gettysburg and make your own history.
Stay in play in historic Gettysburg andchoose from fifteen public courses designed for
golfers of all kinds. When you'renot on the links, enjoy great restaurants,
(33:36):
a robust craft beverage industry, andplenty of attractions, including the Gettysburg
National Military Park, where the famousbattle was fought one hundred and sixty years
ago. Check out Destination Gettysburg dotcom and plan your historic golf getaway.
The Dawn, The Truth, theTwilight Finish, going to scot and letting
(34:00):
the Big Dog eat. For thoseof us really love golf, you tend
to speak our own language. Butsay hello to Gaylord America. Summer golf
Mecca. The championship courses scope ita lot of Michigan's northern forests. It's
a place that speaks your language, shruidly with world class golf resorts and an
alpine spirit. Here we find herretreat like no other. Start planning your
(34:22):
next golf trip at Gaylord Golf Meccadot com. All right, welcome back
to the Golfing Around Radio hour hereon Fox Sports Kneeling Pittsburgh. I'm your
host, Brandy the Tank Pandlinger, and that's John Daly playing in the background
there. I'm gonna play you thatwhole song Whiskey and Water here in a
(34:44):
minute, excited and pumped up.Well, you're hearing this show. I'm
on the road. I'm heading theGaylord Michigan, Beautiful Gaylord Michigan. Gonna
visit the Treetops Resorts. Than twodays of hanging out with the One,
the Only, the Man, themyth, the legend, and John Daly
and he gets to hang out withme and shoot him again from the Happy
(35:06):
Gilmore movie. Got a great eventgoing on up there. Team USA people
qualifying to go to Scotland raising moneyfor John Daly's charity. We got all
kind of vendors. If I livethrough the weekend, we'll be doing a
radio show in a couple of weeksfrom it. If we don't have a
drink for the tank and say,I remember him well. He didn't like
(35:27):
him, never liked the man, hated listening to his show. So hey,
it is the Golfing Around Radio hourhere on Fox Sports Netwheeling, Pittsburgh.
Taking a little bit trip out tothe Gettysburg Golf Trail this week.
Visiting one of the great properties onthe Gettysburg Golf Trail, the Penn National
Golf Resort, home to two greatgolf courses, the Founders and the Iron
(35:52):
Forge. Trust Me, if youlove golf, take the short trip to
Gettysburg. It's just down the turn. Kids. Everybody's like called Gettysburg in
that near Philly. No man,it's two and a half hours, three
hours away. If you're coming fromSteubenville, Ohio, go to Gettysburg.
(36:12):
It's all inspiring there. It's majestic. The Penn National Golf Course is fabulous.
They've got playing stay packages. Solet's talk and here from the director
of golf there, mister b Rhetthimself, and he'll give us the Rundown
(36:52):
penn National is located twenty miles fromGettysburg in south central Pennsylvania. We're two
and a half hours from Philadelphia, three hours from Pittsburgh, an hour and
a half from Washington, d C. And also from New York depending where
you're coming from, anywhere from fourto six hours, depending what part of
(37:15):
New York you come from. Yeah, So we're located at the base of
Micheau State Forest here in Pennsylvania, and it's a lot of wildlife. We
have deer, we've got bear thatpeople have in their backyards. Along the
course at night, you can hearcoyotes. But it's very laid back,
(37:37):
relaxed. A lot of people likestaying at our inn because they can walk
here, they don't even have toget in their car, and they've got
two beautiful courses to play, andthey're both totally different courses as well.
So it's a very favorable place andalso great golf here. So the stay
(38:00):
packages, basically customers can individualize itto whatever they want. The typical packages
three days too nights, one roundeach day and then that includes breakfast,
but they can also include dinners whateverthey want. Wool tailor to their needs.
(38:23):
The best part about the packages,Like I said, when you come
here, they're two totally different golfcourses. You've got your tree Line Traditional,
which is the Founder's course, andthen we've got our open style,
the Iron Forge no trees, hasthe high grass gives it a links look.
(38:44):
However, it's bent grass, fairways, teas and greens, so you
don't have that rugged feel when you'reout there. Everything's nice and plush all
(39:23):
right again, So much to dowith Penn National. Play and stay packages,
really great accommodations there. The golfis to die for. You can
pull onto property at Penn National andnever leave, never leave. Great restaurant,
swimming pool, bar, restaurant, golf. If you guys want to
(39:45):
grill out outside of your room, they got grills available for you. They
let you do that. Really easygoing, relaxed atmosphere and man, you
will feel like you are in themiddle of the country when you were Penn
National. It's fabulous there. I'mtelling you go there if you loved golf
(40:05):
and travel. Penn National Golf Resortnear Gettysburg is for you all right,
Like I said, heading up toMichigan, Gaylord to hang out with the
man, the myth, the legendhimself, John Daily. Yeah. And
now I've been around John a coupleof times. In case you didn't know
this, John's agent, Bud Martin, is a Pittsburgh guy. Yeah,
(40:30):
Bud Martin, He's a Pittsburgh guythat had done good for himself. He
represents, like some of the topgolfers in the world, Ricky Fowler being
one of them, Pittsburgh's owned BudMartin one of the best sports golf sports
agents out there. Remarkable. Sowe're gonna play another John Daily song right
(40:52):
now in case you didn't know it. John sings plays guitar, and he's
pretty darn good man. If youwere walking the bar and didn't know who
he was and heard him singing,go that boy ain't bad. That kid
from Arkansas, he ain't bad.Singer. Many of John's songs, as
you can imagine, a long ballrebel, one of my favorite deal with
his life, honestly, his drinkingand his gambling and his roughhousing and ma'am,
(41:17):
give me the guy that's gonna behonest. And you know who he
is. Okay, you know whoJohn Daly is. You know, you
know he's been arrested drunk out infront of the Hooters. He don't give
a damn that you know. Giveme John Daly who will walk onto a
green with a beer or a dietcoke and a cigarette out of his mouth,
go hold this to his caddy, drives, gets a driver out and
(41:40):
pounds it five hundred yards, saysthanks, as opposed to I don't know
somebody else that hides his infidelities, his malfeasances. I know there's kids listening,
so I'm not going to go twohard here. Well you're driving around,
(42:05):
gets caught by his wife in theworld and gets up in front of
a microphone, goes out with hismommy at the side and says, I'm
really, really sorry. I havea problem. I'm a sexual addict.
Then I have to go to aplace in uh Arizona, right, mom,
Arizona. And I'm real sorry aboutthat because you got caught, Like
(42:30):
the judge says, the only reasonyou're sorry because you got caught Tiger Woods.
Remember that with Tiger Nike does itput him out of the golf business
for a while. I would havehad more respect for Tiger Woods. Had
he pulled to John Daily and hisagents said you got to do a press
(42:51):
conference in Tiger Woods, would havesaid, yeah, all right, no
problem. Walked in with a bottleof wild turkey, a bottle of champagne,
Tiffany and stephan from the Purple PeppermintClub down there in Fort Lauderdale,
wearing bikinis and said to the wholeworld, poured himself a wild turkey and
looked at the Cameron said, I'mTiger Woods. I like to play golf.
(43:15):
This is Tiffany, this is Stephanie. I like them too, and
I like ice cold wild turkey. So I'm not taking any questions today,
but i am going to go playsome golf. I'm Tiger Woods. Out
that I would have had respect forthat. I would have had some type
of respect for. Not me,Mommy, I got caught it. Did
(43:39):
come press conference with me? Imake good. I don't want to lose
money from sponsors. This is whywe love John Daily, love him,
hate him, disagree with his lifestyleon a moral and ethical basis. Least
you cast the first amongst you. This is why we love John Daily.
(44:06):
We have seen his life on fulldisplay in front of us as golf fans,
and we love him for it becausewhat you see is what you get
with John Daily
