got no keep. It ain't overtill it's over. Ladies and gentlemen,
Welcome to Vikings Country. I'm mustWe're here with Miller Light. We're here
at Jerseys and Invergrowth Heights. Lookat all these Vikings fans sitting out here.
We got the skull going on outhere. We're having a blast.
We're having some Miller lights and it'stwo guys just hanging out in a bar.

(01:44):
My special guests, Ivan Pace Junior. How are you doing, man,
I'm doing good. Us. Howyou doing? I'm doing fantastic.
It ain't over till it's over.I know we'll talk a little bit about
the one three, but you know, we'll get to that later. I
was telling you before that this showis we hit heavy on on football and
sports and EXAs and oh so we'llget to that and everything like that.
First, ho, I have toask you because a friend of mine,

(02:05):
Marty Gllner. You guys know whoMarty is, right, She asked me
to ask you, where does Ivancome from? I come from Ohio.
I'm from No, no, no, the name my name, yes,
yes, I'm a junior. SoI got that from my dad. Yeah,
because you don't really have there's nota lot of Ivan's nah around here.
Nah, I really don't even knowany Ivan. Uh. Yeah,

(02:30):
I got it from Yeah. Imean it's obviously I almost said something stupid
like the family name or something.Of course, it is your dad's name.
So yeah, Cincinnati, Ohio gotit from so back to your film.
Uh, you know when you wereyour stats man, first Miami of
Ohio and then again Cincinnati. Threehundred and seven tackles, forty two point

(02:53):
five TFLs, twenty one sacks, nine p ds and also four forced fumbles.
You are a beast man. Yeah, thank you. Uh, now
tell me this because I'm kind ofinterested in the transfer portal. I really
have never talked to somebody that hasactually been a part of that. You

(03:13):
were a part of that when youwent to Cincinnati, and a big reason
was because your brother. Yeah,my brother was there. Yep, Okay,
what's that experience like the transfer portal? Is it like a difficult thing
or is it just kind of likeall of a sudden you'd go down like
some shoot. It just it justseems like there's a like a hole in
the wall and you just jump throughit and like that. But I really

(03:34):
got into the transfer portal because ofmy brothers. I wanted to leave.
But I feel like the transport ismore like it's like another school to go
into, but like it's just coachespicking you up. It's just the same
thing as like coming out of highschool. It's not really much different.
It's coach is really just looking atyour past film. We're really a college
film because you're transferring and you tryto put like so they recruit you.
Yeah, it's basically that, Oh, very cool, and you're happy it

(03:59):
did that cat you the NFL thatwas that's not too bad. Let's speak
about that. So you're an undraftedfree agent and you signed with the Minnesota
Vikings in May, and that doesn'thappen all that often for an undrafted free
agent that they you got a nicecontract. Congratulations on that, appreciate thank
you. Was that like for you? More over validation as far as they

(04:20):
give you a contract without being drafted, you know what I mean? As
far as like they went out oftheir way early to make sure that they
locked you in. I think alot of team passed up on me,
and I think they really they likeeven if Vikings kind of passed up on
me because undrafted. It's really crazybecause I thought I was really going like

(04:43):
second, third, fourth round andended up being undraft. It was kind
of crazy because I was really thethe best linebacker in the draft this year.
And yeah, I don't know whathappened, but unanimous All American acc
or aac rather defensive player up theyear. Yeah, yeah, you had
some aculates coming in, Yeah Idid. But now you're here, man,

(05:04):
and everything's excited to be here too. I mean you get on and
then like right away they give youthe green dot. Wow? Is that
ever an honor right there? Especiallyfor undrafted rookie. That's crazy. Just
going in there and and being beingable to them, being able to trust
me. Is is a good feeling. And then coming out and for the
first game against Tampa and actually gettingto be a technically a starter. Wasn't

(05:29):
named a starter, but like Iwas out there starting and having all the
plays. I think I had likeat least fifty plays on defense and it
was only like sixty plays. Soyeah, it was good. How about
that fourth down stop, you andBullard making that huge stop this last game.
Yeah, we really needed that.We needed to really just buckle down
and figure out how to stop themfrom getting in the end zone because that's

(05:50):
what we needed and that's what wedid. So we've established that you're from
a whole while Cincinnati another Cincinnati andis that Cincinnati? Ight? Do you
know? Okay? It's all right. People just say different things sometimes all
right from cinc. All right, here we go. Another famous person from

(06:12):
Cincinnati is Kyle Rudolph. Yeah. Now he went to Elder High School.
Yeah, you were at Coleraine, right, yep. And I don't like
old, No, I feel soyou couldn't even be happy for Kyle for
retiring. I was happy for him. I was happy for him. I
really didn't even know he went theolder at first, and then once I

(06:33):
figured out he went the older,I was like, I like that guy,
Like I really liked him in theNFL, but like knowing him with
the older, I was like, but it was good though. I'm happy
for him, and I'm happy forhis family and everything he'd done in the
NFL. He did a really goodjob. Yeah, and he still does
off the field. I mean, the guy's amazing and stays in the community.
We love number eighty two. Let'ssee if he is the most famous

(06:57):
person from Cincinnati. Okay, youlet us know. I mean that's where
you're from. Uh, let's seeWilliam Howard Taft. He has to be
pretty up high up on there. He was a president. Yeah, that's
where my call the dorm was onhis street. Oh, no, kid,
there must have been a mess Hall. That was close to there if
it was for taps that guy liketo eat. How about Nick lash ninety

(07:20):
eight to Grace that's a that's abig one. Yeah. Yeah, he
was married to Jessica Simpson. ThatTV show was good. Yeah, it
was good. That's it. That'sit. That's pretty good. Okay,
Pete Rose really, let's be honest, Kyle Rudolph is the Pete Rose of
Minnesota. A lot of people don'tknow that. Yep, but though gambled
on games, what's shame? StevenSpielberg is from Cincinnati, Ohio? Really

(07:46):
Spielberg? Yeah, et jaws,I don't think. Don't know that one.
Steven Spielberg, he's twenty two, leave him alone. Silbert hasn't made
anything worth the damn. Y uhyeah, he's kind of a big deal.
H Well, then you're not gonnaknow Bootsy Collins. Then who Charles
Manson is film? That's a prettyfamous staying right there? So would you

(08:11):
say, Kyle, it's Kyle Rudolph, then Steven Spielberg, then a Manson
or what? Yeah? That order? That would be good? Did you
obviously you grew up a Bengals fan, right, yeah, a little bit
really I like the Bengals a lot, but I was more of a a
Minnesota fan, not though bright, but Minnesota fan and the Cowboys fan.

(08:35):
Like that's why I really those myreally good teams, the Bengals. You
had us and then you lost us. Yeah, truth, But Cowboys in
the Being in the Minnesota Vikings andmy really teams. But the Bengals that
probably was like my family's team. They really loved the Beings just because they
were from Cincinnati and they always wantedthey like they still call me now and
asked me, did you watch theBeing games last night? Like they did

(08:56):
a good job. I'm like, okay, eight out of here. But
you can be honest with you andspeak for your family on this one.
Those uh, the Bengals jerseys arehideous, especially the helmet. Yeah,
even the white helmets are. OhI do like the white one's better,
I like, but yeah, butyeah, that that's a hideous. That's

(09:20):
my brother's team. I don't likethe Bengals. Oh really, Yeah.
I can't wait to go down thereScember sixteen seventeen, that's Scember sixteens on
birthday, So just to play themright after that, it's gonna be beautiful.
Oh, just rub it into yourbrother's face all the way around that
love that. Uh. As arookie, a lot of times we've heard
stories where you're like in charge oflike decorating the locker room from the holidays

(09:43):
and that kind of stuff. Andthen sometimes you had to dress up in
costumes. Of the Minnesota Twins, they had to dress up as there's one
guy as Reno nine one one,Lieutenant Dangle, which is beautiful. Have
you ever seen that? Buddy theElf, Doctor Evil and Mini Me?
Is there anything that you've had todo so far or that you know is
coming up as a rookie? Notreally much that I had to do.

(10:07):
I had to buy some snacks forthe room, and then they've told me
that I got to decorate the linebackerroom for Halloween and then Christmas. Not
really much I had to do,just buy some snacks right now, right,
they gonna get me into something. Now, how are you gonna plan
for the Halloween decorations? You betterget him soon. They've they've been on
sale for the last three months years. I've been I've been going to the
store. I try to get stuffin my house so I remember that's my

(10:28):
favorite holiday is Halloween is yeah,it's gonna be nice. They don't have
a good one. I don't knowabout Christmas, the Christmas, Yeah,
but Halloween is my favorite holiday. So Halloween then and uh, then obviously
you have some memories of costumes thatyou went to as when you were a
kid. Is there one that reallystands out there? You're like, damn,
I hope they have an adult side? Is one of those? When

(10:50):
I was like two, I wasa draft and that's your favorite? Yeah,
my mom addressed me up as adraft. That was my favorite one.
But would you have like the biglong neck over you? Yeah?
And then uh, my favorite besideswhen I was younger, my favorite one
is probably uh dark Vader. Ilike Dark Vaders. Oh yeah yeah,
Dark Vaders. My man I hadLittle Star Wars Man. I like that.

(11:16):
I had to explain that because everybodyelse saw the hand gestures. You're
like, no, no, no, that's yeah, I haven't. Pace
Junior is our guest here at BikingsCountry with Miller Light, the official beer
sponsor of the Minnesota Vikings. Whenyou get to Minnesota, you here's somebody
that is really like a teammate thathas mentored you you know, they have

(11:39):
that typical saying of put you underhis wing or anything like that. Is
there somebody that that you go towhen you're looking for advice? I say,
Jordan Hicks. He say he gothere last year and he'd been in
the league for what I think thisis his tenth year going into So I
think he really took me under hiswing just being that that linebacker and they
really have big hopes for me,the coaches and him as as a player

(12:03):
and stuff. But he really tookme under his wing. And we are
here now today and we're both startingand we'll see where it ends up at
the end of the season. Soa shide from Jordan is there are there
other players that you really gravitated toSometimes it's not just the linebacking room.
Yeah, you know, it reallygoes into just that that like you have
your rookie class that you're going intoand that's where like you really like build

(12:24):
your brothership at first, and thenit starts to expand. So right now,
it's like really like most of allthe rookies that actually got to stay
like that didn't get cut or anything. But I think really that's my group
right there, be with the rookies. Yeah. So now now you were
talking to me off the year hereand uh, you're a big gamer.

(12:46):
Yeah, I like the video game. I was gonna ask you, so,
my my son's twenty one and Iknow that you're twenty two. And
then I was gonna ask you,do you even have a TV? Because
my kids never actually used the TV. They're just constantly on the like your
phone or yeah. No, weare all her phones all the time.
But I got two TVs. Buthonestly, I never turned him on.

(13:07):
Really, they have not been on. I got a little monitor set for
it, my game and stuff,so I really upstairs playing the game most
of the time. We're just growthem through Instagram or Twitter. Get the
full headset and I got the headset, the microphone, I got the
whole thing to pop up at it, I got stop doing the hand but
yeah, I got all of it. That's awesome. So do you play

(13:30):
with other teammates or do you playingguys I played up with or played in
college and stuff. Yeah, it'sreally most of the I grew up with
people, my cousins. Uh.I got two teammates that I played with
when I was at Miami Ohio thoughthose became like my real close college brothers.
I played with them, and thenI started playing with Brian Murphy just

(13:50):
recently. He played the game alot. And uh, yeah, it's
good, very good. What's yourfavorite game of choice? Call of Duty?
Did you already say that? AndI just wasn't paying attention were you
were talking? Well, I waswatching the hand gestures and I'm like,
oh my goodness, what a puppetshow was putting on here? And cheers
at Vikings Country. We got morecoming up on the way. In fact,
we got our five typically stupid VikingsCountry questions. You're gonna like that,

(14:13):
then, yeah, we will actuallytalk about the Panthers game coming up.
Just a little bit of a previewright here, Vikings Country with Miller
Light. Bunch of great Minnesota Vikingsfans. You're catching it right here.
I'm the fan. It's time forVikings Country, brought to you by Miller
Light. Now here's your host ofVikings Country from KFA N and the Vikings

(14:37):
Radio Network must off SETI right behindHerbert Fanshaw. Mu's Collnation at all today
and they're gonna go for it andthey won and KISITION they did not get
it. On the run to JoshKelly up the middle, but Kings have
turned over the charters on downs witha twenty eight twenty four lead. Brandon's

(15:01):
Daily, third year head coach forthe LA Chargers, just did his football
best friend Kevin O'Connell as, followingby making that DESI let's and there's another
one of them kill m'clock man Killingskeep intercepted by the Chargers on Minnesota Vikings.

(15:35):
Rola might be the coolest guy onthe planet, Lenny Kravitz and it
ain't over till it's over here,Vikings Country. Welcome once again and welcome
back as we're here Ivergrolve Heights atJerseys with Miller Lighte, the official beer
sponsor the Minnesota Vikings, and myspecial guest, Ivan Pace Junior. You

(15:58):
said that's your favorite Huh. Idon't know about my favorite time, but
it's one of the goost songs.Yeah, what what kind of music do
you actually listen to? Her?Are you just all over the board?
Because you and I were talking aboutKane Brown and yeah that off there.
I kind of listened to a lotof today's country came Brown more Will Yeah,
yep, yeah, stuff like that. And then are you saying it's
just because you think I'm gonna betickets. They're both coming into town,

(16:26):
so we go. Yeah, andat us Bank Stadium, Morgan Wallace and
you just announced that there. Allright, Oh and three, we got
to talk about it just a littlebit because we've been so close. It's
been so close. All the gamesare close, blitzes have been so close.
Evans almost has that pick bounced offhis head somehow, Palmer gets just
so close. The offense is gettinginto situations that are so close. Do

(16:49):
you guys feel that? I mean, it's there, It just hasn't happened,
is there? As a team,we all feel in it, the
energy that's there, and and justwe know we're going out there and doing
our best that we can. Uh, some things just end up happening.
It's just how it happens. Butthat's football. Yeah. So, and
uh, do you like Brian Flores'defense? Where you were at fifty percent

(17:12):
blitzing this last game was like eightyfive almost. Yeah. I like his
defense a lot. His defense reallyfit me because when I was at Cincinnati,
this is exactly like what I wasdoing at Cincinnati. I was blitzening
a lot. Really wasn't in coveragethat much, but him really sending me
on blitzes in him trusting me togo get after the QVA. That's just

(17:33):
my job. Like I don't havea problem with it. Like I like,
I like type of contact. Ilike getting things all right. Here
we go our five typically stupid vikingscountry questions. Are you ready? All
right? Here we go? HTaylor Swift, she took Travis Kelsey up
on then everyone's talking about it.Goes to the game, goes the arrow
ahead. He's cursed a touchdown becauseeven Mahomes said he felt pressure because she

(17:56):
was in the house and sitting nextto Travis's mom, Donna, right next
to her, right next to her. Do you have a celebrity crush?
Do I have a celebrity crush? No? I mean Bill Belichick himself actually

(18:17):
in an interview, he said aboutTravis Kelsey and Taylor Swift, and I
quote, Travis had a lot ofgreat catches. She'd be his biggest catch
effort. That's funny, but yoh, you can't think of it. I
can't think of one. I'll giveyou. When you were growing up,
you're just always like, I don'tknow somebody. Okay, all right,

(18:44):
here we go. Next one foryou. Uh. A woman who posts
about hygiene and advice says that we'rewashing our arm pits wrong, that you're
supposed to spend thirty seconds per piped. Are you doing it correctly or incorrectly?
I think I'm doing incorrectly. Thenthe Yeah, I don't think I'm

(19:07):
washing it that much. Thirty secondsA long time? All right, First
football memory for you? This isnumber three. First football memory. Was
it like instant love for you inthe game? Yeah? Actually no,
My first football memory is my momtaking me out there. And I started
young. I started probably when Iwas like four or five, and I

(19:30):
was screaming and crying because I didn'twant to go out there. I was
holding onto the fence because they weretrying to take me out there to go
practice, and I'm like, no, I don't want to, Like this
is not for me. My favoritesport is wrestling. Oh yeah, yeah.
I was a big wrestler, sothat's my favorite sport. But then
football just took over, like justlike that, that became my sport.

(19:51):
Like just well that wrestling leverage reallycomes into play for what you do there
exactly, and with that, howabout the first hit in the NFL.
First time that you just got yougot hit, you hit somebody else.
Did you think, Okay, nowthis is for real, like you know,
it's a little different than college, right, Yeah. I think my
first hit was probably on a lineman, like I didn't know, Like,

(20:12):
I mean, you obviously go againstbig lineman in college and stuff, but
like the NFL, they're like solid, like there's no like fat on them.
They're like real solid, like thebig lineman like jeez, like,
but I think that was my kindof first hit. But like the first
tackle, I felt pretty good.I felt like I was ready to be
out there. So yeah, verycool. And then the last one.

(20:33):
Your time in Minnesota. I knowyou're busy rookie year and everything like that,
but have you done anything like realMinnesotan I mean where you're like,
wow, okay, this is whatthey do here. Nah, I haven't
done anything really minute. You'd beice fishing this year. Uh. We
went fishing one time, but thatwas like when it was hot outside.
But they asked me to day, said, uh, coach Pico said,

(20:56):
dude, he was gonna take usice fishing, and they said it's a
lot of winter stuff here, soyeah, snowmobile and in your contract,
you know you might not be ableto do that. They'll be careful there.
But they said we're gonna do alot of things. They say,
we got like this rookie, thisrookie success thing. They're like, they
take us and do things like Minnesotaish. Oh cool, we gonna figure

(21:17):
it out. Yeah, you wieldthem all America. Yeah, went there.
Yeah, yeah, of course youhave to. Yeah, look at
a couple of times Cincinnati, CincinnatiChili. Is it good? Do you
like it?
