we're here at one a great place, Smash Park, and
our special guest Ladies and gentlemen, number zero, Ivan Pace Junior,
is Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:58):
Ivan's already said that.
Speaker 4 (02:00):
Either we're gonna go into this sing suite over here
we're gonna sing Islands in the Stream together, or we're
gonna go down and we're gonna throw hatchets.
Speaker 3 (02:07):
So what are you the little axe throing you think
you're in for that? Have you done it before?
Speaker 5 (02:12):
Once or twice? But I think I'm godd.
Speaker 3 (02:13):
It once twice? Was it one of those things? Are
you one of those guys is like good at everything
or just like annoying? You know?
Speaker 4 (02:20):
Yeah, your buddy's always like here's something, there's no way
give you good at this?
Speaker 3 (02:24):
Nothing? Damn, Why do we gotta hang out with this guy?
Speaker 4 (02:27):
Be seven and two second in the NFC North Ladies
and gentlemen, gonna be taking on the Titans two and seven,
going to Nashville the Boom at noon, coming up on Sunday,
just beat the Jags twelve seven. And I gotta ask you,
is that that last clip you heard with Pa talking
about cam Binam and that interception the ray gun?
Speaker 3 (02:51):
Did you know anything about the ray gun?
Speaker 5 (02:53):
Now? I know anything about it. Kim Kim just comes
up with his own celebrations, don't tell nobody sometimes.
Speaker 3 (02:59):
And so he's not practicing it at like TCL.
Speaker 5 (03:02):
You guys go home and practice it. He showed us.
He showed us the videos of him practicing in his
in his kitchen. It he'd be funny.
Speaker 3 (03:09):
Oh that's outstanding. Yeah, you did the parent trap handshake.
The whole works. I mean, he's very clever. He gets
uh gets viral almost every time.
Speaker 4 (03:16):
But man, the ray gun thing was one of my
my favorite ones in the game.
Speaker 3 (03:22):
Do you have anything worked out? Are you as well?
Speaker 4 (03:24):
Back at your place working on stuff and then filming
it and waiting for a moment I mean the scoop
and score.
Speaker 3 (03:30):
We didn't see much after that.
Speaker 5 (03:32):
I was too excited. I was too excited to get the.
Speaker 4 (03:35):
There's a big flex so yeah, so that's something that
you can work on there. So you got you got yeah,
but you got one.
Speaker 3 (03:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (03:43):
Well, with all the free time that you have on
your hands, dude, what a what a season that not
only your Fightings defense is having, but you yourself. You got
the sack versus the Jags, which was awesome. We heard
that in the highlight. You got that scoop and score.
We just talked about fifty five tackles leading the team.
Speaker 3 (04:00):
By the way, I know that that is crazy.
Speaker 4 (04:02):
Six TFLs. Dude, you are absolutely balling.
Speaker 5 (04:07):
Yeah, there's trying to be the goat man, trying to
be the best.
Speaker 4 (04:10):
I got to ask you this because you you did
a show with us here in Vikings Country. It was
the first appearance that you had done in Minnesota as
in Minnesota Viking you guys were there and uh, but
here's the thing, is that, what what is it like
year one to year two? What what is like the
biggest differences or there's something that stands out between last
(04:30):
year when you're coming in and all of a sudden,
Oh man, you're getting some snaps. Yeah, and then now
like you you the guy.
Speaker 5 (04:38):
I think the biggest thing is just they got to
be able to trust with their coaches so they can
put you out there and make sure they know what
you're doing and stuff. So the first year is just, uh,
they just want to see how you're coming out of
college and how you are and how to get in
to filly you. So I think that's the biggest jumb honestly,
just the trust. Yeah, putting on the field.
Speaker 3 (04:56):
But anything else.
Speaker 4 (04:57):
I mean now, I mean the first year, you got
to take a lot of crap, you know, because you're rookie.
Speaker 5 (05:01):
You still get a lot of crap. It's best to
being the younger. He's still a rookie for the first
three games. Until the second year year.
Speaker 3 (05:08):
And you're LB one and they're still giving you a crap.
Speaker 5 (05:10):
They still Do'll give it to me a little bit
more than.
Speaker 4 (05:14):
How about with Blake Cashman coming back last week and
this last game, what does Blake Cashman's return and just
him on the field itself, how does that impact your
game is having What kind of a difference does that
make When Blake's out there.
Speaker 5 (05:31):
I feel like it's just it's a chemistry that we
built since he been there. Just us being on the
field together is way better than just one of us
being on the field just knowing that we got each
other's back because sometimes we put one background the field,
we got a safety in the box and we don't
know if he's gonna come actually field the gap and stuff.
So it's just the chemistry that we got that we
have built over the time being together on the field.
Speaker 3 (05:52):
So I like it a lot.
Speaker 4 (05:53):
Yeah, and it's a short amount of time, yeah, all
and all in all, but that that LB room has
got to be a lot of fun. I mean, look
at the guys that you got sitting there. We already
talked about Cash there. We got uh Grenard van Ginkel,
Pat Jones in there as well, Dallas Turner.
Speaker 3 (06:10):
I mean that is, uh, that's quite the LB room. Yeah,
it really is.
Speaker 5 (06:14):
We got a nice defense, like flowing in the coaches
to they put it. They put a lot, uh put
together a good defense that I think we got one
of the best defenses in the league.
Speaker 3 (06:24):
Yeah, and Kamu where I was gonna add.
Speaker 5 (06:26):
He got two interceptions I went down, So yeah, we
loving everybody.
Speaker 4 (06:31):
What's the fun thing that you guys doing that, because
every room seems to have like something that's a little
bit different than you know another like the wide receiver
room where you guys have like some kind of weird
connection or some kind of like we we like to
go and throw hatchets.
Speaker 5 (06:48):
Now, I think the defense is is just a weird
combination anyway, Like everybody be out there just having fun
and going crazy, like we got a little if you
play defense, you got a little something wrong with you,
Like something is you ain't it? Like you's going out
there just smashing people.
Speaker 4 (07:03):
So yeah, and flow let you be yourself, right, Yeah,
and that's the key to how this defense actually works.
Speaker 5 (07:09):
Yeah, just being yourself and he tries to find the
your greatest strengths and put you out there and put
you in the right position to be and showcase those talents.
Speaker 3 (07:18):
So yeah, how crazy from a year ago.
Speaker 4 (07:20):
And then all of a sudden, now you got Brian
Flores who just goes, I want cash Man, I want
vim Ginkle, I want Grenard, And all of a sudden
you're like, whoa, look at this defense. No, you know
gilmore is added to that, you know, everything else and
be like WHOA, Okay, yeah.
Speaker 3 (07:35):
Just keep building.
Speaker 5 (07:35):
We just gonna keep building and just growing our team,
and as as the season goes on, it just gets
better and better.
Speaker 4 (07:42):
I haven't pased Junior as our guest here Vikings Country.
We're here at Smash Park with no one like the
official beer sponsor of the Minnesota Vikings.
Speaker 3 (07:49):
I must tell me about the number zero.
Speaker 4 (07:52):
I know that you had that when you were in Cincinnati,
but is there is there some connection to it? Is
there some reason that you really want I wanted that
number because it looks really sweet, especially in that Winter
Warrior jersey.
Speaker 3 (08:03):
I can't wait for that.
Speaker 5 (08:05):
I don't know when we were no we won home game.
I don't know what gaming did. I can't wait to
wear them either.
Speaker 4 (08:10):
The number zero? What what? What stands out for you?
And that because you're forty when you first started.
Speaker 5 (08:15):
Here, Yeah, forty, they gave me forty. I wanted zero
when I first came in, but they gave me forty
because we had who was an MD. MD came in
took it. But uh, forty, I mean forty was a
good number. But zero it just like people say, it's
not like the number doesn't show the person. But like
to me, I feel like it really does. Yeah, it
(08:37):
brings out a different dog in me that let's just
go ahead and just crazy that like.
Speaker 3 (08:40):
This represents your personality.
Speaker 5 (08:42):
The zero is is is a fire number. It's better
than number one.
Speaker 3 (08:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (08:46):
I was wondering if it was like one of those
where it's like, you know, zero people believed in me,
or you know, I had a zero chance of possibly
getting to this.
Speaker 3 (08:52):
I didn't know.
Speaker 5 (08:53):
I mean I was underdog coming out, Yeah, I mean undrafted,
so probably didn't have a lot of people on my
side at first, but well they see that.
Speaker 4 (09:02):
Yeah, entire fan base and then a whole lot of
people watching film on other teams going okay, yeah.
Speaker 5 (09:07):
Yeah, we gotta stop in a zero.
Speaker 3 (09:09):
We gotta stop zero crazy because you yeah, you just fly. Ever,
I mean, do you even realize how much pain you're
putting into your own body?
Speaker 5 (09:16):
No?
Speaker 3 (09:17):
I mean you just.
Speaker 5 (09:19):
After the after the game, and next day my body
be sore, Like I did not know I did all that.
Speaker 3 (09:25):
Yeah, do you have a team of people that are
you doing all the workouts?
Speaker 5 (09:28):
Could tubs and yeah, I gotta, I gotta. I got
a couple of people that just give my body right,
I gotta go go, go to pilates, go to getting
the hot tub. Got a body person, but body works person.
So just making sure my body is right cause it's
my job.
Speaker 4 (09:42):
Do they give you crap? I'm like, they say, okay,
we want you to do this. There's has there ever
been one where you're like, I'm not doing that?
Speaker 5 (09:48):
No all the time, all the time, all the time,
and stuff like that, like you want me to do what?
Speaker 3 (09:53):
I don't want to be needled right now?
Speaker 5 (09:55):
No today, Like, nah, I can't get it right now.
Speaker 3 (10:00):
Let's see here.
Speaker 4 (10:01):
The Vikings defense has held teams suggest thirteen points in
the last two games, thirteen points the last two games
Colts and Jags.
Speaker 3 (10:09):
The turnovers have been awesome.
Speaker 4 (10:12):
What do you think about Harrison Phillips trying to do
the gritty.
Speaker 5 (10:17):
Yeah, that was a surprise when he tried to do that.
I was like, all right, well was he gonna try
to do it? I did it?
Speaker 3 (10:22):
Wait, he made it look better for it. And then
Byron Murphy Junior, that's three consecutive games where he has
had a pick.
Speaker 4 (10:32):
Yeah, he's absolutely balling. That's a lot of stuff that's
going on in front of him there. But man, this
defense is unbelievable with the Messada Vikings right.
Speaker 5 (10:40):
Now, No, it really is. We want turnovers so we
can celebrate. That's our motto. We want to get turnover
so we can go celebrating. And the cameras like it's fun.
Speaker 3 (10:48):
Yeah, you gotta work on your celebration. Then that's all
there is too.
Speaker 5 (10:50):
I'm gonna go home and get work on. I can't
find them celebrations.

oh you oh really Lower Broadway.

Speaker 5 (13:18):

Speaker 4 (13:22):
Good well, and you know, and kickers and long snappers
and punters, they're all weird.
Speaker 6 (13:28):
When we started writing our thoughts down on paper, it
opened up endless possibilities. Ideas could grow beyond the borders
of the mind, and it changed the world. Somewhere along
the way, we lost touch with paper, distracted by devices
made for every purpose except thinking and focus on edge,
waiting for the next notification. But what if new technology
(13:51):
didn't pull us away from paper, but brought us closer
to it. Listen, that's not paper, it's the sound of

Speaker 4 (14:30):
Let's talk about this Vikings defense quickly before we get
into our five typically stupid Vikings country questions. Vikings defense, y'all,
thirty twenty thirty sacks for the Minnesota Vikings so far.
Speaker 3 (14:41):
This is crazy.
Speaker 5 (14:42):
That's some nice.
Speaker 3 (14:44):
Twenty two turnovers.
Speaker 4 (14:46):
That's five interceptions and seven fumble recoveries. And oh, by
the way, someone here has a scoop and score.
Speaker 3 (14:53):
It happens to be in the room here, Plea's dawn.
What's that like?
Speaker 4 (14:58):
When you pick it up, it was like right away,
you know there's that that There's gotta be that moment
where you're like, I should just jump on the ball.
Speaker 3 (15:04):
That's what normal coaches jump on the ball. But you
scoop it and then you go and you're like, okay,
what's in your mind? What's here?
Speaker 5 (15:10):
My running back days come back? Yeah, running back days
from high school.
Speaker 3 (15:14):
Is just go go, go, go go go.
Speaker 4 (15:16):
Ah, were you looking up at the screen seeing who's
behind you, getting ready to stiff arm a little dive into.
Speaker 3 (15:23):
The end zone.
Speaker 5 (15:23):
It was a big lineman coming after me. Van Ginkle
had to get him.
Speaker 3 (15:26):
I was like, oh it got fast, and oh you
would have never heard the end of that.
Speaker 5 (15:34):
They had told me to hook the trailer man.
Speaker 4 (15:38):
And you did, and there we go. And then we're
seven and two and looking so much forward to this.
So Sunday in Nashville, the five typically stupid Vikings Country questions.
This is my favorite part of this number one tell
us with mattelis he's got that bit that he's doing.
All right, I can get it at Viking's dot cale
the v E n uh. The last one I saw
(16:00):
he had a world record that you could hold. Is
there a world record that you believe that you could hold?
I know Grenard said it was like eating skittles. He's
a big candy guy. Is there a record that you cann't?
Speaker 3 (16:16):
What's something that you do that you're like, there's no
way anybody else in this locker room can do what
I do.
Speaker 5 (16:25):
No, Like, it's just like it's it's a brain fart
when you get it's like, yeah, I don't know what
I could do, Like there's world records for a reason.
But then he said, if you could practice it for
like months, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (16:38):
Are you a gamer at all?
Speaker 5 (16:39):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (16:40):
What games do you like to play?
Speaker 5 (16:42):
Uh? Call of Duty K and mad n C Double A.
Speaker 3 (16:45):
Now, now do you school it at that or you're getting.
Speaker 5 (16:53):
I guess school? It wasn't name Bira Murphy. He's the
coldest that Call of Duty. Oh really he should he
should be like havealy the game channel? He that good is?
Speaker 3 (17:02):
He got the headset and he's in your ear, like.
Speaker 5 (17:04):
Four screens in his room like the PC. I'm like,
oh my god.
Speaker 4 (17:09):
Number two tattoos. How many tattoos would you say that
you have? He got the sleeve there on the left, essentially.
Speaker 5 (17:17):
Sometimes I forget how many tattoo I forget I have tattoos?
Speaker 4 (17:20):
Honestly, really, what was the most recent tattoo that you
got and why did you get it?
Speaker 5 (17:25):
My most recent tattoo? I got a tattoo.
Speaker 3 (17:32):
I love that. You have to like he's pulling at
his clothes.
Speaker 5 (17:36):
Probably was this. This is probably my newest one. But
one of my ankle is all my burf flowers for
my family members. Oh cool, they're birth flowers from ankle.
Speaker 3 (17:44):
Oh very cool. I like that.
Speaker 4 (17:45):
Is there a tattoo that you're like, dear God, why
did I do that? That might have been a college
one where you're like, Okay, yeah, I don't want to
talk about it.
Speaker 3 (17:53):
Okay, that was bad.
Speaker 4 (17:56):
Here we go Number three of the five typically stupid
Vikings country question By the way, the Vikings fans you
need to know this. Verizon is the official five G
network of the NFL. Visit Minnesota. Verizon store sponsor for
our five typically stupid Vikings country questions. People's magazine. People

be announced to I Win. I was just gonna ask you, so,
who who on the Minnesota Vikings is the sexiest man?
Speaker 3 (18:27):
Me?
Speaker 5 (18:28):
Yeah, I mean I ain't looking at me in like that,
but hey, this is me.
Speaker 4 (18:33):
I thought Brian O'Neil would be one of those, although
he's probably most likely to play Mister Incredible in the
live action The Incredibles movie.
Speaker 3 (18:42):
No, I think that's could you see him in that
super suit? Yeah? He will look good, all right. Number four?
Speaker 4 (18:51):
Here we go, uh, quarterback from Tennessee and the Titans,
Will Levis he loves mayonnaise to a ridiculous I'm out, yeah, process.
Speaker 3 (19:04):

Speaker 4 (19:05):
No condomis no, no ketchup, no mustard, no male mayo
is the access of evil.
Speaker 5 (19:09):
Yeah. I don't eat mao, but I I am Mustard?
Speaker 3 (19:14):
Is your something? You're just like, there's no way I
would eat that. I don't eat relish no relish no.
So what do you What do you do on your
hot dog?
Speaker 5 (19:23):
I put peppers on it. Go down to Nashville. Yeah,
they got these hot dogs stands and put peppers on it.
I can't wait to go down there and get hot.
Speaker 3 (19:32):
Probably their best when it's two in the morning, But
any rate it really is. Yeah. Yeah, you're gonna think
I'm weird because I just raw dog it. I do.
I don't put anything on a hot time.
Speaker 4 (19:43):
It's just wiener and fun and the Good Lord made
it right the first time.

Do you have to like it because you're from there?
Speaker 5 (20:06):
No, you don't gotta like it, but I love it,
like I was craving. I was talking about it today
like I was, I can't wait to go home after
this season and get them.
Speaker 3 (20:14):
You can't get Skyline Chili here in Minnesota. Have you
had something?
Speaker 5 (20:19):
There's a couple, there's like one or two down in Florida,
but uh, I don't know why. But it's the Skyland.
It's a Cincinnati thing and everybody from since night loves it.
If you get there, they got like some brown sugar
and cinnamon in it in the chili, so it's really good.
It's not like regular chili.
Speaker 4 (20:35):
But I'm from Minnesota and I don't like gulash. But
the gulash is ready for everybody that listens to the show.
Speaker 5 (20:41):
What's the what's the one burger call here.
Speaker 3 (20:43):

Well, okay, so people say it's Matt's five eight I
Buffalo tap Down in Savage for me.
Speaker 3 (21:09):
Is one of my favorites. Yeah, I need you come down.
You come down to Savage, that's where I live, and
I'll take you out, all right. Yeah, we'll go to Buffalo.
Speaker 5 (21:17):
Get on that.
Speaker 4 (21:18):
Yeah, absolutely, all right. So as we're looking ahead here,
you're taking on Tennessee. Bikes are seven and two. You
guys are two and seven, And normally on this show,
we don't talk a lot of football, but right now
we're gonna talk a little bit about it. I thought
it was the weirdest thing I've ever seen because I'm
looking at I'm doing some studying on Tennessee and I'm going.
Speaker 3 (21:33):
To their depth chart.
Speaker 4 (21:34):
They only have seven offensive line seven. There's no backup
for the left guard. There's no backup for the center
on the depth chart, there's no backup for the right guard.
Obviously they must have some flexibility with some of the
other guys, but only seven offensive linemen.
Speaker 3 (21:49):
That's crazy.
Speaker 5 (21:50):
I got a lot of trust in the man, there's
a lot of trust, and I have back ups.
Speaker 3 (21:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (21:54):
Absolutely, what have you seen, if anything so far from
the Tennessee Titans as far as their run game or
you know, obviously you're gonna be breaking down a lot
more film probably starting tomorrow. Yeah, you know, and as
you guys start to putting in your defenses.
Speaker 3 (22:09):
But what have you seen so far?
Speaker 5 (22:13):
Honestly, they got a good offense. They got a good offense.
It's just we got a better defense.
Speaker 3 (22:19):
That's the bad thing.
Speaker 5 (22:22):
We got an amazing defense. So I think they're gonna
be I think it's gonna be a little, a little,
a little game. But yeah, yeah, don't I don't really know. Yeah,
I'm still watching film trying to figure them out. Saw yeah,
off day Right now.
Speaker 4 (22:34):
You guys start chomping at the bit when all of
a sudden they're like, Okay, here's what we're throwing at him.
Speaker 3 (22:38):
We're gonna throw this kind of pressure on him.
Speaker 4 (22:40):
And you're like, everybody wants to go get a sack
because you got thirty of those things.
Speaker 5 (22:44):
Yeah, that's how Flow does. Honestly, he just he wants
everybody to get a piece of it. So, I mean,
what was that the last game? It was like, uh hot,
he had got a sag. JG got a sag. Yeah,
somebody else got a sad It's like we just we're
just trying to get everybody to get.
Speaker 3 (22:58):
A little piece of everybody. So did you call him Hotti? Yeah?
Speaker 5 (23:02):
HATI what's his name?
Speaker 3 (23:03):
Cash?
Speaker 5 (23:05):
Not haughty, I mean not cash. I forgot his name.
I'm flaty so much.
Speaker 4 (23:13):
