(00:00):
We are back another one, anotherepisode of the Well Disagree to Disagree Podcast.
I'm Riley, and what's up?Have I seen you since the holidays?
Like we haven't talked on here sincethe holidays? No, we haven't.
How's your holidays? What? Whatdid you do? What you're here?
Yeah? I stayed in Chicago, okay, and I went to my
sisters. We all have dinner ather house, Okay, lunch, dinner,
(00:24):
whatever you call it. We sitdown at one o'clock noon, it's
like what we eat and yeah, hung out was one of my little teen
mintees and just just random stuff.Yeah, I love it. Nice.
What about yours? Uh? Familyfrom La came shout out to the brother
sister May Jones was in town,my niece. Then I worked over the
(00:47):
holiday. Well I'm still on airlike on Case Nights, weekend and stuff
like that. But I don't mind. Like we always say, work is
not Yeah, it's not work becauseI had two concerts and yeah it's fun.
So yeah, what are we talktalking about? Because you have to
show for it today, just gonnatalk about some random trending topics. Let's
start with the not so good news. This whole Diddy situation. You know,
(01:08):
a couple of weeks ago, Cassiefiled a lawsuit about sexual abuse and
sex trafficking and YadA, YadA,YadA, and they settled like the next
day. This lawsuit was for thirtymillion dollars. They settled literally the next
day undisclosed amount. And I alwayssay, man, if you settling,
man, like what kind of messagesthat sending. But then again, in
(01:30):
the court of law, you know, everybody has to go to that situation.
So we don't know he allegedly didthese things. And now his ex
had a security it's saying, hey, I'm with Cassie all the way,
woah, whoa, And it mightbe some other survivors out there coming forward
real soon. So I'm just like, what are your thoughts on this?
I don't know. I don't knoweither, Like it's always this person's word,
(01:56):
that person's word, and then thetruth like we I don't know,
but I don't know. I'm beinga woman now. I listened to women
very carefully what they have to say, and I heed what they're saying,
and I just wonder, like Iwould never be like, oh, she
just want the money. That's neverme because we don't know if someone has
been victimized or not. And I'vebeen in some situations myself where I've seen
(02:21):
firsthand these type of things happen, and I just I could never say,
oh, he didn't do that,And I would never say, oh,
she just wants money. I wouldnever say that because I wasn't there and
I don't know facts. I'm completelyon that same page. We don't know.
I it's hard for me to It'shard for me to think although it
(02:44):
could possibly happen right clearly, Iwill say this, clearly something went down
for Diddy quickly and almost less thantwenty four hours to say, hey,
what do you need, here's themoney, let's settle this. So I
think that showed a lot of peoplethat may be truth in what Cassie was
saying. I think for me itwas kind of hard, you know how
you kind of were, or alot of people were, with R.
(03:07):
Kelly. How it's hard to lookat R. Kelly as that person when
you loved his music. Me growingup, one of my favorite shows was
Making the Band, and I lovedhow Diddy was that boss, and I
loved how when Diddy came in theroom. You know what I'm saying so
like, as a kid, Iwatched every season of Making the Band,
so it's hard for me to belike dang not Diddy, the one that
(03:30):
I used to look at that showlike oh he that boss man to see
that all these allegations may be trueor may have happened. So I get
what you're saying, where I don'thave a full stance on it. At
the end of the day, there's, like you said, there's two sides
and then there's the truth. Iwish them both the best, whatever the
reality is. And my thing isthis though, like she had been asking
(03:53):
for some money for months, shehad didn't happen overnight. So my thing
was, gosh, I guess hethought she was playing. Yeah, I
thought she would pull back. Ifanything, I'm gonna give you if I
know I did something wrong, I'mgonna give you that money ahead of time
because now your image and brand istainted. Yeah. Yeah, because honestly,
I, like I said before thefact that had happened within twenty four
(04:15):
hours that he paid her that money. Yeah, I think everything she said
in that thirty page lawsuit, everybodynow believes did he did that exactly?
So if someone comes to you thoughahead of time and say hey, I'm
gonna drop this lawsuit. I needthis money about it you because of what
you did to me. Like I'mjust wondering why he didn't just like okay,
here you go before she went publicwith it. Yeah, I don't
(04:38):
know. I thought she was playing. Yeah she wasn't playing obviously. So
look, this thing has been happeningsince the beginning of time. Allegations of
men abusing women and some women abusingand grooming men as well. That is
nothing to play with as a woman. I'm telling you now, that is
(04:59):
one area you can never play with. That that is always going to have
negative connotations against your name, yourbrand, and your legacy. I don't
care who you are. That's nevergonna be a good look. Never.
Let's move on now. The QueenBeece, so earlier this week, well
actually last weekend whenever you're watching this, she had her movie premiere, Renaissance.
(05:24):
It's in theaters December first. Shehad that premiere in Hollywood over the
weekend, and you know it wasa silver theme. Her whole renaissance is
Renaissance. And she was telling peoplewhere silver to the concert. So she
came out on the well, shedidn't even walk the carpet. But she
had a silver carpet, not ared carpet. She had this beautiful silver
(05:46):
gown. I believe it was byDonald Tello Vasachi the Gloves to Mad.
She had this platinum, silvery typehair. Oh we've never seen and I
feel like, absolutely beautiful. Andpeople accused her of trying to look like
a white woman. Well, QueenBee's mama, the Queen Queen Bee was
(06:09):
like, look, stop hating onmy daughter. She was calling people haters,
ignorant. I mean, Miss TinaKnowles went in and she said,
I know Beyonce is going to bemad at me. She didn't stay mad
at me, but she said,I know Beyonce is going to be really
mad at me. And yeah,so what did you think, I'm not
(06:30):
trying to look like a white woman. Absolutely not. I think Beyonce looked
dope. I thought it was adope look. I thought it was a
I know you've always said you wantBeyonce to do more different looks. I
felt like it was a different certainly. I felt like it fit the theme
of Renaissance. I felt like everybodywho went Lowki snapped, but Beyonce was
just on another level as she shouldhave been at her movie, Killed It.
Yeah, definitely did not get whitewomen. Definitely did not get a
(06:51):
lot of people saying she looks likeKim Kardashian. Did not get any of
that. I'm not mad at MamaNo's for going in because if there's anybody
who's going to defend and support youto the end, it's yo, Mama.
And Mama Nods was like, lookbecause she knows Beyonce is not really
the clap back one. I'm gonnado it for her because I think her
(07:13):
mom's like, y'all have taken ittoo far to say that she's trying to
look like a white woman. Whenis Beyonce ever tried doing that? I
mean, she's got whole songs aboutbrown skin and stuff. Come on that,
man. But you know, andthen when you're wearing silver, the
light reflex and when you have platinumhair, the light reflex for your skin
is gonna look lighter. And Beyonceis a light skin woman. Yeah,
(07:34):
so you already I'm trying to figurethat one out. But anyway, you
know, people on the internet, they're gonna do what they gotta do.
Just so that they can be heardif you will. But I kind of
disagree with the mom going off. Now, her going off is okay,
that's her child, but maybe alittle bit more classic Miss Tina. I
(07:54):
think Miss Tina is being Miss Tina. What's wrong with why you're calling be
says fans haters ignorant? Is shelike that was a little much? I
don't think she did not use acuss word of profanity when calling them that.
She could have said a lot worseof what they are. All she
literally said was y'all are haters, facts, ignorant facts. Where's the lie?
(08:18):
Okay, I'm just saying it's alittle brutal miss and what's gonna happen
because she was nothing? Because ain'tnobody coming from its Tina at all.
But I'm just saying, maybe it'sjust a little tinge class. I'm not
met. I feel like a mom, just like we saw Key's Key Palmer's
mom go off when it's your daughteror your son, a mom is going
to all that classes. You gottanah, okay, uh? And then
(08:41):
what else? What are we talkingabout on this episode? It seems like
it was something else. I don'tknow it was Jamie Fox I think you.
Oh yeah, so Jamie fox Managain, going back to the whole
Dinney situation and R Kelly and BillCosby and everybody else again. Jamie Fox
one of the coolest people that Ihave ever met, one of my favorite,
(09:01):
most favorite interviews in my twenty plusyears of radio. He came to
my show this is when I wason GCI, had a keyboard in the
studio, was playing, making jokes, singing songs. Just one of the
nicest, most humble people ever. And then I've seen them, you know,
over the years at parties and whatever. So when I heard the other
(09:22):
day that he had a lawsuit ora case of sexual assault from back in
twenty fifteen, I was like, again, you naturally get tainted, whether
you did it or not. It'sjust something about sex abuse cases that are
that serious and that impactful that itdooms you. It's just one thing that
(09:46):
you it's very rare that you comeback from me. Yeah, even if
you did not do it. Andthat's why. And I got to say
shout out to Liam Rodgers who hassays this and I kind of agree.
If it's proven in the court oflaw that you absolutely did not do it,
or the female comes back and says, hey, I lie. There
needs to be some type of somethingthat happens to that female making that lie,
(10:11):
because, like you just said, your reputation is tainted. Whether it's
true or not, it's out there. So what happens to the female that
just not saying you know, ofcourse there's a lot of cases that it
could be true, right, butin a case that a female mate.
There's been times where a female said, Okay, no, it didn't really
go down like that, or I'mretracting what I said exactly what happens in
that case, and you then ruinedhis reputation exactly, I mean for life.
(10:35):
Like the actor Jonathan Majors. Yeahhe didn't reach they're in try out
right now. But she was justin another abusive case. But unfortunately,
even when I see him, Istill think that's that's how strong that accusation
is. I'm telling you. WhenI saw that about Jamie Fox, I
(10:56):
was like Jamie and again, innocentuntil proven guilty. But in today's quarter
law, you're guilty until we canprove that you're innocent. That's facts.
In this day and age, manwith social media, with everybody got a
voice. Everybody has a microphone. You really are proving guilty or you're guilty
until proven. Then even after weprove that, we still that guilty still
(11:20):
outweighs the innocence. Yeah. Soanyway, okay, So I think is
that it today? I think that'sit. That should I got some things
we can talk about. Nothing onthis podcast. You don't know what?
Why not? Ryan can't give mejust a little clue you want to talk,
