(00:00):
It's another episode of the will justDegree to Disagree podcasts not beyond say Fox,
I am Ryan Lee? What's that? Right? Would that be?
Not much? Man? Spring hassprung? Has it? It doesn't really
feel like there was snowfloirs yesterday herein Chicago, and when I left up
my house this morning, it wastwenty nine. But it's probably gonna be
seventy or eighty by the time peoplelike hear this podcast. So you never

(00:23):
know in Chicago what the weather's gonnado. Like literally, you can,
literally, I've been here over twentyyears. You can literally get all four
seasons in one day. And I'mnot even joking about that, No,
that's facts. Yeah. But anyway, So there's a lot of trending things
going on in the news, asalways, particularly in entertainment. Some of
my favorite artists are making headlines. And I'm a little sad about this first

(00:46):
situation because you know, I haveseveral music crushes. I can name them
all, like John Legend, there'sBaby Phase, there's gosh who else,
There's so many, I can't evenname them all. But Bruno Mars is
in that same cat Oh usher, that's another one. Bruno Mars is in
that same category with the whole Beyoncemusic crush piece. What's a music crush,

(01:08):
you ask? A music crush issomeone that I don't think hard.
Oh nobody asked, Okay, Well, I just wanted to explain what a
music crush is. A music crushis when I have a severe crush on
an artist who just has so muchswag and is just like so bomb and

(01:30):
their music is crazy. Yeah, that's what that is. So anyway,
my latest music crush is usher. But anyway, one of my older music
crushes is Bruno Mars. Bruno Marsis, when I tell you, top
notch talent, Like this man isso skilled and talented when it comes to
music. He's amazing. But Igot the news this week that he owes

(01:52):
his life basically to the MGM Grandin Las Vegas because of a gambling problem.
Fifty mil fifty million dollars in gamblingdebt. But have you now seen
what MGM is saying? What arethey saying now? MGM has put out
a report as of like last nightthat that is a false report, okay,

(02:15):
And they're trying to claim that heis not in debt, and they
are excited to continue the partnership betweenthe two of them. Okay, and
you know what, we can onlybelieve what we read, all right,
you know what I'm saying, youbelieve that. I'm just saying we can
only you believe what we read andhear and see that. It's just some

(02:38):
really weirdness going on with that wholething, because the boy's been at the
Las Vegas residency forever and I'm neverlike, yeah, it has to be
one of the longest ones I've everseen. Yeah, which I don't mind
because I love him. He's great, but forever. Yeah, so it
makes me believe, like, isthere some truth behind this stuff? And
then you went to it correct?Yeah, well I went to the silk

(03:00):
song. No, I did goto both. I went to him by
himself, and then I went tothe one with him different with him versus
like Adele who's out there. Wesee clips from Adele's residency. His is
the no phone policy? Right? You can't stand that? Yep? So
like how we don't know how itis. I can't stand it. It's
good, it's awesome, But whyis it that you don't want it on

(03:22):
social media? I guess maybe becausethey make a Netflix movie later or something.
So how is it when you getthere, are you like I want
to be on my phone? LikeI, oh yeah, But you know,
once they take your phone and putit in the little locker thing,
you get to keep it, butyou can't open it because they have the
locks. So it's not like you'reaway from your phone. It's just sitting
on your lap and you can't useit, so it's not that bad.

(03:45):
Then you can't take it out andtake pictures, can't take video, can't
do and we saw his like ifyou didn't go, you felt like you
saw it on social media. SoI don't like that. I don't either.
It is what it is. Butback to him owing all this money,
hopefully those reports are not true.Literally just came out last night that
MGM put out a full statement.Well, this would be my thing,

(04:06):
Like if the man has a gamblingissue, why is he still in a
casino? Why is he still inthe city known for gambling. So in
that regard, it kind of makessense, like, Okay, maybe this
is just a false report, buthe probably does owe somebody some money for
something. There's gotta be some truthto this. Just random rumor, you
know what I mean? I thinkGM put out a statement to try to,

(04:28):
you know, cover some stuff, but I guess we won't know.
I think, like you said, there may be some truth behind something.
Something something seems a little shaky. But anyway, I'll still go and support.
I'm a fan. I am afan. Okay, let's move on
over to another artist. Tyler. She hit the scene, man. I
mean she's not super, super brandnew, She's been doing it for a

(04:48):
little minute. Remember she went ontour with Chris Brown and people are like,
who's Tyler And then she comes outwith the Salt Water and everybody's like,
oh, that's Tyler. So herdebut album drops this week on March
twenty second, called Tyler Yeah, self titled debut album, and she's got
Becky g some of the artists onthere. The Water remix is Travis Scott

(05:13):
Are Dope. Yeah. That videosactually just dropped. Yeah, that's dope.
And unfortunately she has an injury thoughthat prohibits her from going out on
tour, so she had to cancelher international tour dates. But she said
when she comes back, baby, she's gonna be a problem. Well I
can tell you when she's going tobe back now, what Lollapaluza just got

(05:36):
announced a few minutes ago, andTyler is on the line up. She
is on the lineup, but youknow that's not until August, right,
So she had to cancel all thoseNorth America North American tour dates. Yeah
the injury. Yeah, but getthat injury fixed, Tyler because she's super
young. She just turned twenty two, so pill fast yup Grammys already.

(05:56):
So twenty two Tyler. That's abig And that song went crazy on TikTok
Yeah, certainly did I love it? I love it? Okay, let's
see. We'll save her for last. Wendy Williams. We know the documentary
aired a couple weekends ago in Lifetime. A lot of people are still dragging
it, saying that that was veryexploitative for people to do that, and

(06:17):
Wendy needs help and not to beparaded around. She got paid, though,
almost half a million to do thatdocumentary. What do you think about
that? Do we think Wendy understandsthat. I think she does still have
a concept of money. I do, Okay, I do? Yeah,
yeah, yeah, I really do. If Wendy is broke like this movie

(06:43):
portrayed, then I mean it clearlygave her money that she needs. Yeah,
I just I don't know. Ijust want to know who is around
Wendy that has the best interest,in the right interest, you know what
I'm saying. So when I hearfour hundred thousand, I'm like, good,
maybe Wendy's getting a check that sheneeds. Ye know what I'm saying.
Yeah, then you got people aroundher, and you have the ex
husband that's now saying he needs moneyagain. Yep. It's just so much

(07:08):
around her that I can't be happyfor this money because I don't know where
it's going. It's going taking advantageof exactly exactly, And I almost hate
that these reports got out, eventhough he probably already knew. But now
the ex husband really like, oh, you got four hundred thousand, right,
right? But you know what ifshe's living in a penthouse in Central
Park. And also there were reportsearlier this week that she also owes the

(07:32):
I R S, so that fourhundred thousand really isn't anything if you owe
millions to the I R S.I'm just saying, bless her heart,
my God, I'm gonna keep herin my prayers, because who trust and
believe Wendy Williams and she's going throughthat was hard to watch, man,

(07:53):
and to go through on a stagefor the whole world to see. Very
hot. I mean we literally soI'll never forget. It was the Halloween
when she dressed up as the Statueof Liberty and I remember we were in
studio downstairs. We got the TVsin it and it was on Fox,
and I literally remember seeing that happenlive. It was scary because it's so
scary. You saw you literally sawthe breakdown yep, the beginning. Yeah.

(08:16):
Yeah. Where we're at now withthat yea? Yeah, really sad.
And then finally the Queen Bee,Beyonce has done it again. Her
number one single Texas Hold Them isher longest running number one song in the
UK. That's crazy. It's crazy, like she just kind of dippled and

(08:37):
dabbled into country and here she isbreaking records, only dropped two and one
of these songs is literally out herebreaking record yeah. Like, and the
big mystery is, did she reallyredo Dolly Parton's song legendary iconic country singer
Dolly Parton? Did she really redoher song Jolene, which is, in

(09:00):
my opinion, one of the coolestsongs ever, and everybody wants to know
because first of all, it's agreat song Beyonce, which is absolutely murk
it. Secondly, when Dolly Partongives a song and she wants a certain
artist to sing that song, pleasego ahead and do it, because we
all know what happens. When WhitneyHouston did Dolly Parton's I Will Always Love

(09:20):
You, yeah, period, andDolly said that she did give Beyonce the
grace to do it a few yearsago. She so she was saying that
she expects that it will be onthis album. Man, that's gonna go
up. That one is probably gonnago up. But one thing that I
like is that I don't think TexasHuldem is breaking all these records just because

(09:41):
it's Beyonce and just because it's acountry song. I think it's breaking records
because it's actually a good song.It's a good song. Like when I
hear it, I like this song, so like, I'm not shocked that
it's doing this. And I knowsome people are like, oh, it's
just because Beyonce or just because ofthis country. No, I think it's
that might help. It helps,But I think she has the credibility.
You know what I'm saying, likethe resume to prove it exactly. You

(10:01):
got the job because you know somebody, but you got the job also because
you deserve it. And when youcame in, you proved you know what
I'm saying, like it's a goodshe is a Texan. Come on now,
I mean, yeah, yeah,I think we forget that, Like
Beyonce did grow up from Texas. It's like Beyonce making a juke song.

(10:22):
You and you grew up in Chicago, so you made a juke song.
I did not grow up in Chicago. First of all. You grew up
grew up in the Western suburbs, thank you. But yeah, on the
west side, I said western. You take two ninety into just my west
side. Now look I love thatwest side the best side six But anyway,

(10:48):
so that's what we got as faras trending topics this week and anything
else, I'm about to be atrending topic. Who's headliney la la uh
since a Future is gonna be theirmetro man Blink one eighty two, sexy
Red Victoria Monett. It's a strongit's pretty strong. That's strong, very

(11:11):
strong lineup. I'm very impressed, very excited. That's going to be going
down in Chicago. That's strong, all right, one of the biggest festivals
we have here in Shottown where peoplecome literally from all over the world.
All right, Ryan, that's it, that's all. You have a week.
I have been yawning this whole episode. If you can't tell, I'm
trying to not look at you, because you know that's contagious. Right then

(11:33):
you yawned automatically. I have beenyawning. I can't talk. It's time
ago. Yeah, hit me up, Beyonce, Fox, everywhere, hit
me up at right immediately. Wegotta go about by
