Speaker 1 (00:00):
One nine kbp I and your show time for stupid stories.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
Y'all. Nasal Poetry Day, y'all, Nasal Poetry Day.
Speaker 1 (00:12):
Poultry like the birds.
Speaker 2 (00:14):
Okay, thank God for our chickenso love our chickens. They're
so silly, all right. Chick fil A testing something we're
gonna love. Dude. How about this. It's called ice dream
spin and Float. So nice. Dream spin and Float is
a mix of a milkshake, a real thick milkshake, and
(00:37):
they add into it your favorite fountain drink.
Speaker 1 (00:42):
Oh okay. So so it's kind of like a coke float. Yeah, yeah,
root beer float. I'm guessing it'll be popular.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
Orange float, yeah, like an orange stickle. All right, the
ice dream spin and Float, all right.
Speaker 1 (00:58):
Meanwhile, Sonic is like, dude, we could have made those
for years.
Speaker 2 (01:01):
Could have, but they didn't, did they They didn't? And
now chick Blade's gonna do it and make millions on it.
And they even closed on Sunday as insult everybody else?
All right. A management sending the fraud and scheme that
involved him running multiple multiple sham companies. One of these
(01:21):
companies called Vandalaate Contracting really similar to the fictional Vandalight Industries,
which George Costanza falsely claimed to have interviewed for a
job on.
Speaker 1 (01:32):
Seinfeld Classic Seinfeld business.
Speaker 2 (01:36):
Yeah, but dude had like fifteen like sham companies that
he was all running a fraud on. Sometimes it's kind
of can be. It's got to be so difficult to
run some of these schemes, these frauds. I mean, this
dude had multiple companies. He's just taking one chunk of
chains from one and put it in the other to
(01:57):
falsefy some records and move it here there. Like, it's
got to be rough to keep up with all that nonsense.
When you're out there just running.
Speaker 1 (02:04):
A scheme like that, you might as well just start
a legit business.
Speaker 2 (02:07):
At that point. Man, it is a legit business. That's
the problem. You know, this student stuff really sucks. I
gonna work hard at it. A man in Georgia opened
the rear door of a foleice car, climbed in, and
told the cops that he wanted.
Speaker 1 (02:23):
To ride home, oh like a taxi. Huh.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
He didn't get that ride home, he got a ride
to the jail instead. A man from Maryland was charged
with assault after punching the United Airlines gate agent. He
was mad because the gate agent assigned him a middle seat. Ah,
how rude that to teach him? Punch him right in the.
Speaker 1 (02:48):
Head metal seat?
Speaker 2 (02:49):
You give me a middle seat? Oh hell no?
Speaker 1 (02:52):
Correct?
Speaker 2 (02:55):
I mean I feel like that's at least a conversation
before you punched.
Speaker 1 (02:57):
Him round right right. I mean, man, you don't have
a single window.
Speaker 2 (03:02):
Right, you know, I wanted a window or I don't see.
But today today you chose violence. A soccer team in
Bulgaria did a moment of silence for a former player
who's passed away, and then they found out he was
still alive. Oh that sucks, all right, So you buy
(03:29):
this because I don't. Americans are supposedly air quotations cutting
back on chips and cookies because they're getting too expensive.
Speaker 1 (03:39):
They are getting expensive. Are they cutting back? I don't know, Yeah,
I think not.
Speaker 2 (03:47):
I mean they definitely hear here at I heeart, they
definitely cut back on the cookies, all right. The average
American obviously has to skip nowadays. Sometimes when you're buying
a house, you gotta you know, plan that out, you know,
and save money if you can. Down payments are always important.
Lower that payment, getting the interest rate as low as possible.
(04:09):
That's key. Well, as you're thinking about all that, what's
the average home price here in in the to say,
the Denver Metro area average home price? Curious to see
what this single parking spot in Boston went for the median?
Speaker 1 (04:28):
So half's above, half's below. Yeah, five and eighty thousand
is done? Verse?
Speaker 2 (04:32):
Okay, this parking spot in Boston just hit the market
for seven hundred and fifty thousand dollars.
Speaker 1 (04:40):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (04:43):
It's a parking garage of Beacon Hill, around the corner
from Boston Common and right by the famous Cheers bar.
So oh, here's this. According to Fortune magazine, the average
house in America costs four hundred and nineteen thousand.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (05:00):
What was ours? Five? What?
Speaker 1 (05:01):
Five eighty was our median?
Speaker 2 (05:03):
Wow? All right, now, if seven hundred and fifty thousand
dollars sounds like a lot for a parking spot, this
is relaxed. You haven't heard of what it comes with yet? Oh?
Speaker 1 (05:14):
Okay, what's come with?
Speaker 2 (05:16):
Well? The garage also charges four hundred dollars a month
in fees.
Speaker 1 (05:21):
Oh so we have an HOA on your parking spot?
Speaker 2 (05:23):
Yes, And and the property taxes are two hundred and
ninety one dollars a month.
Speaker 1 (05:33):
Wow, So you're you're in about six hundred and fifty
bucks a month on top of right.
Speaker 2 (05:40):
The seven hundred and fifty thousand dollars you were paying
for one parking spot.
Speaker 1 (05:46):
Basically, twenty dollars a day is what you're paying to
park on top of a spot.
Speaker 2 (05:52):
That spot, right on top of the seven hundred and
fifty thousand dollars parking spot.
Speaker 1 (05:57):
All right, do you see the history of this thing.
It's a good investment.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
I mean so far, the same parking lot or parking
spot I should say, sold for five hundred thousand and
twenty twenty three.
Speaker 1 (06:16):
Just two years.
Speaker 2 (06:17):
That's that's a nice profit in two years. But what
are you gonna get over seven ft? At some point
you got to hit the ceiling right at some point
you're like that it's probably enough.
Speaker 1 (06:28):
I don't know, we'll see.
Speaker 2 (06:33):
It looks like there's at least one buyer.
Speaker 1 (06:35):
Oh, somebody's redfin listed. Somebody wants it.
Speaker 2 (06:38):
Yeah, they listed as a has a contingent on it.
So the owner accept the offer, but it's not finalized
a contingency.
Speaker 1 (06:46):
So someone what.
Speaker 2 (06:49):
Other parking spot two blocks away, but seven hundred and
fifty d's And that's not including a four hundred dollars
a month in fees that the garage charged and a
property tax of two hundred and ninety one dollars a month. Man,
seven hundred dollars a month on top of the seven
hundred and fifty grand you paid for it.
Speaker 1 (07:11):
I mean, for prices like that, you might as well
just buy a small plane and parachute into work every day.
Speaker 2 (07:18):
Just all right, open the doors. All right, I'm bombing
out here.
Speaker 1 (07:22):
I am parked twenty miles away, but.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
Right right, Uh man, Yeah, that's uh, that's crazy. Seven
hundred dollars a month, basically after you fork over seven
hundred fifty thousand dollars. And remember it's a single parking spot. Man,
it's not like it's an apartment. It doesn't have a
bathroom on it. You park your car there, there's no door.
Speaker 1 (07:47):
Guy.
Speaker 2 (07:47):
No, what a crazy amount of money man for a spot?
All right, traveler, this is kind of a crazy story.
This traveler on line say they booked the hotel for
an international trip through Expedia. They got a great price,
but then the hotel called them directly and asked them
(08:09):
to cancel it because the rate was too low. The
traveler went back to Expedia and was told the booking
is confirmed and that the hotel should honor it as
long as the traveler doesn't cancel. But the hotel's like
if you Expedia, if you they don't care. They said
that the traveler didn't cancel, they'd refuse to accommodate them
(08:33):
when they showed up. Wow, So not only are you
telling me that you want me to rebook it? No,
all right, then we're not gonna take care of you
when you show up, that's right, Like you're getting no service. No,
but you paid for it. So what.
Speaker 1 (08:52):
I feel like I'm sleeping in their lobby at that point.
Speaker 2 (08:54):
Yeah. Man, it's an international trip to the Middle East,
so a lot of people in the common say so
were telling this woman not to cancel it, but she
didn't feel comfortable, you know, having to book you know, otherwise.
Speaker 1 (09:09):
You can see. I feel like that's a problem between
Expedia and this hotel. Not I think you gotta let
this person stay for their right right and be like Expedia,
why were you selling this for so low?
Speaker 2 (09:23):
Yeah? I mean, don't you need to take that up
with Expedia?
Speaker 1 (09:29):
You know, don't punch me just because Expedia was offering
that price, you should have been.
Speaker 2 (09:36):
Expedia reimburse the traveler, gave him a bonus credit for
the hassle. We soon traveler found another hotel, and then
Expedia may nix their relationship with that original hotel. The
same with the Fox newsic. Expedia said, if a partner
consistently provides a poor traveler experience, we investigate and address
the issue directly.
Speaker 1 (09:55):
All right, good for Expedia.
Speaker 2 (09:57):
Yeah, but others think it's They're like, look, we're not
gonna hont a crap, Like you think you got something here, No,
you don't have a room here.
Speaker 1 (10:08):
I'm sorry.
Speaker 2 (10:09):
We sold that for twice as much.
Speaker 1 (10:12):
Like go to the Middle East. I wouldn't want any
questions about where I'm staying. I want that pretty much
laid out. I want them to be happy with me
showing up.
Speaker 2 (10:20):
You imagine you showing up like, what do you mean
I don't have a room? What do you mean I
don't have a room because I got too good of
a deal. Forty four year old been in Florida. His
name is Daniel Morillo. He got arrested for battery after
an argument with a woman turned violent. He reportedly punched
a twenty four year old woman in the head. They
were chatting together, the car broke down and they ran
(10:42):
out of money. So they've been apparently living in the
vehicle and things are getting a little tense. Yeah, i'd imagine.
Speaker 1 (10:49):
So, so they're living in the vehicle that's broken down. Yes,
presumably where it broke down. Uh huh, Okay, Now here's
what's funny.
Speaker 2 (10:57):
Remember, he was arrested for battery after this argument turned
violet his claim. The man claims that they've been dating
for a few months now, but the woman denied an
intimate relationship with him. Yeah you know what that means.
Speaker 1 (11:13):
It's just a booty call.
Speaker 2 (11:15):
Uh well, yeah, well I don't think it was call
it all.
Speaker 1 (11:19):
Yeah, I didn't get that far.
Speaker 2 (11:20):
I think she was using him for what little money
you had over the car whatever, but she was never
you know, putting the one them. Any event, Daniel was
arrested and he was wearing a T shirt that said
I'd never argue when he was arrested, which is pretty
funny when you see his mugshot, I never argue. Yeah,
(11:41):
you kind of look like you do.
