Speaker 4 (03:07):
A man in Washington arrest him after he stole his
exes pet chicken. He allegedly screamed, I've got Paully before
running away with it. Here are police approaching the man

I'm not going to hurt your chicken.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
Stand up. I don't know how you put the chicken
in your person? My chicken?

Speaker 3 (04:00):
Please?

Speaker 2 (04:01):
How good is that? Or here's what you missed? Highlight?

Speaker 4 (04:04):
I know despite some snow showery snow showers today, that
should put a smile on your face. I want to
talk about our great area we do think of business Thursday.
We're going to crown a winner again this week. Send
a gorgeous arrangement from Wounds by.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
Misty to somebody.

Speaker 4 (04:18):
But I want to talk about area businesses offering free stuff.
Car dealerships are good at that. Got my teeth cleaned
yesterday by annual trip to a Badger dental group. And
no one's a fan of sitting there having them scrape
your teeth. They do a good job there. I've been

(04:38):
a customer, I guess client for many years, but now
they have this amazing chapstick. It is so much better
than chapstick you buy in stores. I don't know where
they order it from, but it is fantastic. It is
a bad day if one falls out of your pocket
and you'll lose it. So I went home with not
just one yesterday chapsticks from Badger Dental Group and it
completely made my day. If you guys have ever dabbled

(05:01):
with it, you know I speak up.

Speaker 2 (05:03):
So that's my.

Speaker 4 (05:04):
Question of the day area of businesses. They're free perts,
their free stuff.

Speaker 2 (05:12):
That make it completely worth going into the business.

Speaker 4 (05:14):
Maybe sometimes you go and don't even really need to. Oh,
I don't know, something fishy with your car. Just go
in there, Grandford super rookie. I've been a customer of
theirs for many years. I'm on my third sportage now,
thank you very much. Tremendous customer service. I do go

(05:35):
back for their customer service. But the breakroom has ice
coold cans of pop and a popcorn machine.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
Can you beat that? No, I don't need to wait.

Speaker 4 (05:45):
I don't need to ride back to work for while
you guys are doing my oil change or tire rotation,
whatever you guys are doing. I could sit in the
breakroom and enjoy a little downtime, enjoy an ice cold
pop on you guys, and some delicious popcorn. Guardian ships
are good at that of the perks I knew of
a car dealership, a guy would he kept bringing his
car back because they had some fantastic lickforsh there, bring

(06:11):
it back for really reasons that they would check it,
nothing to be wrong with a car. And meanwhile he
would eat eat the delicious liqforsh. It wasn't me, It
wasn't me, it was the guy I knew.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
He. I think this was in California.

Speaker 4 (06:27):
I'm pretty sure wasn't a TV show excel Nutty three.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
Well, hey happened? Hey? What's your name? Oh Diane? I've
been talking this morning?

Speaker 4 (06:42):
What are the best free things slash perks area businesses
offer when you visit them? Kind of spinning off my
fantastic Badger Dental Group chapstick that.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
They have when I got my teeth cleaned. I look
forward to that. It's so much better than anything else
you can buy in stores.

Speaker 4 (06:58):
But just a little simple thing you'd be at a oh,
I don't know, a car play. Certain restaurants have a
little free perks.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
What's going on? The only thing orders work, a pop
brushes and dental flocks and my identist.

Speaker 4 (07:12):
I thought there would be nothing else that they could
possibly offer but blow and behold. I sometimes wonder why
they don't give out candy bars because that would keep
the business coming back.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
Oh yeah, definitely.

Speaker 4 (07:24):
Man, just loving this chapstick. I would share, but that
would be weird. No, that would be weird, not very sanitary, Diane,
Can I get your homes Guy's pizza certificate.

Speaker 2 (07:35):

(08:34):
Got this awesome fantastic chapstick from Badger Dental Group and
I made my bi annual visit yesterday. Best free stuff
free Perks Area businesses have to offer when you visit them,
of course, it's the first thing.

Speaker 2 (08:46):
Big Champion Chip cookies and Starbucks coffee from Ryan Dallasman getting.

Speaker 4 (08:50):
Your oil change. I do know of those cookies. I've
seen the Starbucks. I'm just not coffee guy. I don't

sure that's why they've had so much success. It's all
about the cookies.

Speaker 2 (09:22):
Mike says.

Speaker 4 (09:23):
When they had the City of Leagues at a Learis center,
walked away a bag of tools, coffee cups and all
that cool stuff. City of Leagues not familiar with that
free stuff Friday best free things area businesses have to offer.
Be sure to mention the business too, Mike saying Sam's

(09:46):
Club free samples. Some days there's really good stuff. It's
really disappointing when there's no free stuff. Remember when they
set up, I mean everyone's had frozen pizza. They had
the frozen pizza ovens going the hat about eighteen. This
is a couple years back now. I want to say
there's eighteen different flavors of pizza. I don't even know
what brand it was, but man, it was delicious. Well

(10:07):
worth the Sam's Club membership for a free snack day.
Jessica says, well, Andy's mints are good. After a meal
at Olive Garden, is anything really free? I didn't know
they gave out those delicious I haven't been to the
OG in a while, but thanks for the tip.

Speaker 2 (10:22):
I do enjoy good mint. I'm Tony Manus money trending
on the way. Forget about Easter eggs.

Speaker 4 (10:32):
I want Easter potatoes in twenty twenty five. They're trending.
Let's talk about them together. Next Excel ninety three.

Speaker 2 (10:39):
Well, well, hey, why good day? Who's this that, Lisa?

Speaker 4 (10:47):
One of the best free things slash Perks Area businesses
have to offer when you visit them thet well, the
free stuff I was talking about the chap stay they
got from Pagidental Group yesterday.

Speaker 2 (11:03):
Amazing, you know, trying to think I like the parade
stuff that you get with it in the.

Speaker 4 (11:11):
Parade, you know, so you love parade candy where I'm
pretty sure there was one massive batch that was made
when candy was invented, and we're still handing it out
today because it lasts forever.

Speaker 2 (11:27):
I think I've given it out for Halloween. Probably give
that out for Halloween to the kids who don't put
any effort into their costume. Right, yep?

Speaker 4 (11:36):
Do you have the two bags the really good candy
for the kids who try and look cute and then
the kids who have got their.

Speaker 2 (11:42):
Normal streak clothes on and it's still a fifty degree
Halloween I'm not the only one who does that. The
one good for you put some freaking effort into Halloween.
I don't know why we're talking Halloween today. I don't
know the Halloween kind of day.

Speaker 4 (11:56):
It sure does, I don't know what month it is. Hey, Lisa,
what do you want to do here? Let's got nuts
to the chest for its Tuesday. Or I can get
you into the Whiskey Velosty Tour the Penslon Whiskey Velosty
to a rodeo next Friday Night.

Speaker 2 (12:12):
Rodeo. Yeah, let's get you a cup of rodeo tickets.
I got seven sleeps Celeras Center. What station's are crownd
to be? You're a Rodeo connection?

Speaker 1 (12:24):
Am my trending TESTAGG trending on xcel ninety three.

Speaker 4 (12:31):
Eggs sure aren't trending, I guess. I mean expensive eggs
are trending, but the bank price is so high. Maybe
this trend will take off this year.

Speaker 2 (12:39):
We'll see. Honestly, I don't think there's anything wrong with it.

Speaker 4 (12:44):
The New York Times says eggs are so expensive people
are planning to dye potatoes for Easter.

Speaker 2 (12:50):
That's not a new idea either. The marketing group potatoes, USA,
trying to make it a thing. In twenty twenty three,
is food prices were rising. Pete also wanted the White
House Easter egg roll to use potatoes. Last year.

Speaker 4 (13:04):
Potato is a lot less smelly, although band potato. Now
eggs and potatoes can smell equally bad. Strike that from
the record.

Speaker 2 (13:11):
New York Times.

Speaker 4 (13:12):
Story says videos and how to dye or paint potatoes
been trending recently, so it's becoming less of a joke
idea and more of an actual strategy for saving money.
The Easter bunny can also opt to hide plastic egg's
full of candy, but that cuts out the whole egg
dying tradition for kids. A lot of the big organized
egg cons are using plastic ones this time.

Speaker 2 (13:33):
A guy who runs one in Ohio.

Speaker 4 (13:34):
Said plastic eggs can be just as fun, but he's
hoping to get back to using real ones next year.
I don't think the kids care if they're finding real
eggs plastic eggs. If they turn them in for candy.
Somehow they equal candy. All's good, So potato just fine too.
Would be easier to spot potato two.

Speaker 2 (13:52):
They're bigger.

Speaker 4 (13:54):
New York Times though, claiming dying potatoes instead of eggs
might actually be a trend for Easter this year. Even
a hard oiled egg, if you die at it's very
easy to crack the shell.

Speaker 2 (14:05):
With the work in progress. I know I'm not the
most coordinated person, but I think it's a lot more
difficult to damage the potato.

Speaker 4 (14:14):
Easter potatoes trending. Some fine colorful examples excel.

Speaker 2 (14:18):
Ntty three dot com, the Trevor D Page.

Speaker 1 (14:22):
I bet you didn't know random facts coming at you
now Excel Natty three front.

Speaker 2 (14:29):
To us by the Blue Moos Bar and grill, home
to forty rotating tappers and spiniskin case Blue Moos c
scrand forces as we jumped into beds. Didn't know Ronney
for fourth edition.

Speaker 4 (14:42):
There's a short man complex named after Napoleon Bonaparte, But
he wasn't actually super short. He was about five ft six,
which was average heighth at the time in France, although
he was shorter than other elite soldiers or aristocrats and
high official that she met with. So short Man complex

(15:03):
named after Napoleon Bonaparte, But he really wasn't that short.

Speaker 2 (15:05):
He was five to six. It was average for France
at the time. Bench didn't know.

Speaker 4 (15:12):
From France, we go to Germany, the only country in
the world where McDonald serves to make.

Speaker 2 (15:16):
Rib all year long.

Speaker 4 (15:21):
I am long overdue for a mic rib, honestly, in
the two thousands. I don't know if I've made the
window of the McRib. Maybe I'm just not getting the
fascination that is the micrib. I guess it could make
a trip to Germany if I've ever wanted a trip
to europe fairs. Faut there's the reason Margaritaville. You instant
instantly think Jimmy Buffett, right, Betch didn't know. Margaritaville was

(15:44):
originally written for Elvis Presley, but he was nearing the end,
so Jimmy Buffett recorded this song. Doesn't even seem like
it would be an Alva sign. According to MIT, the
toughest tongue twister. Let me see if I can pull
this off here, This is the toughest tongue twister, according

(16:06):
to MIT, pad Kid poured curd, pulled cod. I'm pretty
proud of myself there, pad Kid poured curd, pulled cod.
Can't believe I tried it twice. That's according to MIT.
This is not according to MIT, but most people pass gas.
What do you think fourteen to twenty three times?

Speaker 2 (16:28):
Every single day, fourteen to twenty three times, I don't
Finally something you can say, I think I overachieved it something.
That's how we're gonna end. Bet you didn't know today
fourteen to twenty three giver Now you know twenty four
year you're an overachiever. It is time. We've been teasing

(16:51):
this for a couple of weeks.

Speaker 4 (16:51):
Guys, we've been giving away tickets and the show is
zero more sleeps David Snyder to Night Empire.

Speaker 2 (16:57):
Dana says, better reimagine welcome, good morning, Good morning. It's
not going to be here. Look are you a morning guy?
I am a morning guy. Already got my full coffee.
I got a cup of coffee in the system already.
But what's your morning beverage of choice? Just playing black coffee?
You know typically I put a little bit of cream
in there, but I'm no sugar side. Do coffee cream okay?
And that's it? Nice? Nice, So just just the backups.

(17:22):
People learn more about you. A lot of people know
already seeing the.

Speaker 4 (17:28):
The TV appearances, all the good stuff. Yeah, you're originally from.

Speaker 2 (17:33):
I'm actually originally from here. Grand Fork's are not the
cud for I'm like the outskirts of Grand Fork, so
in between Thompson and here. So sometimes I claim Thompson,
sometimes I claim Grand Forks. But I thought I saw
a town name I didn't recognize. Oh really, but Thompson
Grand Fords. You know, I grew up here. And where'd
you go to high school? I was actually homeschooled, but
I did all my extracurriculars at Thomson High School, So

(17:54):
I was in like the title tone. Yes, yeah, I
was within the Thompson School district. About I was home?
And when did you start tickle in the eye breeze
if I will a man? I started playing the piano
when I was eight years old. But was this your
choice or was this No? It was kind of a
forced thing, but I was really excited. My mom was
just like, David, you're going to start taking piano lessons,

(18:15):
and I was stoked. But I never knew like what
kind of piano player I was going to be, you know,
like there's a lot of options. Oh for sure, Yeah,
I could be the classical pianist. I could be like
the worship leader. I could be the jazz guy. So
I kind of just started ging lessons. I could do
them all or I could just do them all. And so, yeah,
I played piano for like I I was classically trained
for like ten years, and then I moved to Los

(18:37):
Angeles actually to pursue acting and modeling. And then throughout
my time there, I was at the ripe old age
of eighteen eighteen. Yeah, I moved out to LA. Yeah,
I had an agent that signed me, and so I
mean that's that's a little different than Thompson grand Ford. Yeah,
it was. It's quite different. Los Angeles is super different.
So I mean, did you know where you're going to live?

(18:58):
Did you have all that figured out? The agent helped
you out? My agent helped me out. Yeah, she she
was awesome. I'm actually still signed with her. She's incredible.
But yeah, she helped me find a spot and I've
been there ever since. I've been in LA for like
nine years now. That's that's fascinating. Yeah, do you have
one piano that you that is your baby? Oh, down

(19:21):
in front of any piano and yes, you need to
do that's a great qua ship her piano up here
for the tonight tour. Yeah, I actually love. I love
Qui pianos. I'm actually sponsored by Qui Pianos. I it's
because I absolutely love them. So I have a Qui
piano at my home that I adore and it's just
like Butterplane is so smooth and so beautiful. It's amazing.

(19:43):
So it's been home today. Do you even know the
one you're gonna be using tonight? Actually, I'm not for sure.
I think it's gonna be the same one that I
performed on like a year and a half ago when
I did a show at the Empire.

Speaker 4 (19:53):
Then, so do you go from here to there to
check it out? And I'm sure you've got a full
day planned.

Speaker 2 (19:58):
Yes, I'm actually going to be performing this morning at
a homeschool co op like out of school. I'm going
to be performing at schools all throughout this week. I'm
performing in Fargo, Cass County school, I'm performing in that
Thompson High School, and then I actually have four shows
in the North Dakota area a part of my national tour. Wow. Yeah, fun.

Speaker 4 (20:18):
So it's a very busy day and understatement today, how
did you end up on America's Got Talent?

Speaker 2 (20:25):
Yeah? So, when the pandemic hit I suddenly had a
bunch of time on my hands, you know, like we
all did. And I always loved the piano, but I
kind of walked away from it when I moved to
La to pursue acting modeling, and so when the pandemic hit,
I had times. I was like, you know what, I'm
going to start making compositions again. I'm gonna start recording
these compositions because I always loved it. And so I
slowly just fell back in love with the piano and

(20:46):
started making tiktoks. And the TikTok started going viral and
I was like, oh, this is kind of getting some steam.
And I started recording my compositions and people started listening
to them and I was like, wait, this is cool.
And then America's Got Talent reached out and they invited
me to be on the show. Yeah they said. They
were like, we saw your TikTok with what you're doing,
could you perform on the show? And so I was
on the show. Do you know it was them? For sure?
If you think someone was praying, well, I thought it
was a scam. I was like, there's no way this

(21:07):
is real. I was like, there's no way, but it
was legit, and I was on the show. It was
a great experience, and then everything kind of started heating
up from there. Then I was invited to open for
Snoop Dogg and for Ice Cube and Florida, and then
I began collabing with dj my favorite people in the world.
They're sick. Yeah, They're awesome, And so I got to
start collabing with DJs, and do I do a lot

(21:27):
of like improv stuff. It's like classical improvisation along with
hip hop and pop. So I was gonna ask what
what we're going to expect on the show with them? Yeah, yeah, exactly,
which kind of segues great into that The show is
like nothing you've ever seen before. It's a one man
piano show that incorporates comedy, storytelling, and I basically tell
my story about how I fell in love with the piano,
utilizing so many styles of music, utilizing comedy, and utilizing

(21:50):
really breathtaking visuals. So, as an actor, I know a
lot of filmmaking people, and together with my filmmaking friends,
we developed beautiful cinematic visuals that a company compositions all
throughout a story that tells you how the piano can
say things better than words, and we're gonna we're gonna
learn all about it tonight. For those who don't know already,
you can get a little taste. I'm sure on your

(22:12):
your Instagram is. Checking out your Instagram page a little
this morning. There's all sorts of examples you can check out.
Was it just surreal being on America's Got Talent? Did
it even seem like it was? It was reality? Yeah?
Alset or something?

Speaker 1 (22:26):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (22:26):
For real? I thought it was. I was like pinching
myself the whole time. I was like, is this real?
This is wild? But it was so much fun and
it was so cool to be able to share something
that I love so much with so many people.

Speaker 4 (22:38):
You know, Dakota's very own David Snyder tonight at the Empire.
You can still get your tickets. Piano says it better reimagines.
This might be a tough question, okay for inspiration Top three,
No order, the Ivory Ticklers.

Speaker 2 (22:52):
I guess those who are amazing on the piano. Who's
coming to mind right now? Oh? You still look up too,
I guess doesn't even have to be a top three
just Y, I would say, like Stevie Wonder, Billy Joel
and Beethoven maybe like while was three. Yeah, and you've
played with all of them. Oh my way, wish stop.

Speaker 4 (23:17):
Well, I hope you're around for half a century. Like
Elton John has been around and dominating for half a century.
I saw him like a way back. I don't know
if you remember the Muppet Show.

Speaker 2 (23:27):
Yes, totally. He was on the Muppet Show.

Speaker 4 (23:30):
I just saw an episode from like nineteen seventy eight,
and he was still doing what he's doing today. He's
a musical guest on s now this weekend. Really he
tears it up. He's so good it's insane. Got to
see him once live. He was here in Grand Fork.
He played the Ralph. It was pre pandemic days, but
amazing show.

Speaker 2 (23:46):
Geez, I love his stuff. That's Allly. I can't believe
you got to work with Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube. Yeah.
I know. I still stay in touch. No, no, we don't.
He I mainly communicated with his so I didn't even
really get to talk to Snoop dog that much. Sadly,
he's like gated off by all the security guards. It's

(24:06):
quite intense. So do you even have I mean, do
people pay you to teach piano or I'm sure you
just do. Uh yeah, I do have a couple private students,
mainly kids of friends. I love inspiring young people to
learn to fall in love with the piano because it's
it's what happened to me and it's changed my life.
The pianos Copleary changed my life. And so I actually

(24:29):
was invited like around a year ago to teach some
courses in Spain with a company called Domestica dot Org.
And so they flew me out to Spain in October
of twenty twenty four and actually taught a course all
about how to have fun at the piano, and so
that course is actually available now and having another course
coming out in the future too, all about how to
improv and compose and have fun with it. And so

(24:51):
it's been really cool to see kind of social media
and and my love for composition in the piano and
seeing the piano in a way that and through a
lens of fun, just impact people and have them start
learning the piano.

Speaker 4 (25:05):
David, it's not that the piano says it better. Empire
Arts Theater tonight, you can still get your tickets. You've
been away from Grand Forks for a while, but I
don't know. But dude, do you come back off and
what do you miss when you're in Los Angeles? Ye,
have any North Dakota cravings?

Speaker 2 (25:17):
Oh? For sure? Red pepper, Like you know, that's like
a North Dakota's staple. You can't even tell people what
it really, you know, it got hard to describe. I'm
like you, guys, the white sauce, the white sauce, you
have no idea. I can imagine the eateries you go
to in Los Angeles soon their bomb, but they oh
for sure, Yeah, the red pepper is just the perfect
amount of like homegrown roots. You know, it's Northakota to me.

(25:43):
But yeah, I come back all the time. I have
like nine siblings, there's ten kids in my Yeah. So
there's so many, so many snyders here I've got I've
got to come back and support. You know, well, we
hope to see them all and you guys all tonight.
I hope to be a will make it out too.

Speaker 1 (25:56):
Now.

Speaker 4 (25:57):
I really want to see the show knowing truly what
it's all about. I appreciate you coming in this morning.
I have a couple more pairs of tickets, guys. Message
messaged me on social media. I'd love to be able
to hook you up with these David Snyder piano says
in batter reimagined like nothing you have ever seen before.
Tonight at the Empire, and you can still get your tickets.

Speaker 2 (26:16):
Yeah, schedule tickets. I hope to see you there. Thank
you so much, my friend. Thank you. It's great to
be here.

Speaker 1 (26:23):
Let me put it this way your Friday morning. More
on award, Yes, more on my nexcel ninety three.

Speaker 4 (26:30):
It's one thing to expect the free refill after buying
an overpriced fountain drink in a big corporate establishment. To
look at the prices of pop on some menus, sometimes
they're five dollars.

Speaker 2 (26:41):
It's a little extreme, though. Yes.

Speaker 4 (26:42):
A forty five year old man in Florida, Stephen Cosomano,
stopped at a kid's lemonade stand Tuesday.

Speaker 2 (26:48):
This is not how we will behave nor I'm sure
we don't behave like this in North Dakota, Minnesota. Nice world.

Speaker 4 (26:55):
He bought one glass of lemonade, downed it, then got
mad when he wasn't allowed to refill his cop There
was an adult woman at the stand with several kids,
and Stephen confronted her and grabbed her by the waist aggressively.
He was standing in a fighting stance and threatened to
beat her up. He eventually walked away, and the woman
called the cops. They tracked Stephen down and arrested him.

(27:15):
Speaking from the woman's story, but said he grabbed her
because she was talking crap to him. Stephen charged with
felony battery. No word how old the female victim was
or how many children witnessed the situation. I have to
think that this lemonade was some really good stuff, not
the Chief Pounder, the chief powder make stuff. Nonetheless, one

(27:39):
does not act like that Florida man stopping at a
kid's lemonade stand Tuesday, find one cup of lemonade, downing
it and getting mad when he wasn't allowed to refill
his cup. I've never seen a free refull sign at
a kid's lemonade stand. He grabbed, a threatened an adult woman,
being charged with felony battery, and Florida had been quite
all week.

Speaker 2 (27:57):
But there it is.

Speaker 4 (27:58):
Trip twenty one, Trip twenty one in twenty twenty five
to Florida Friday morning.

Speaker 2 (28:05):
More On Award put that in perspective.

Speaker 4 (28:07):
Second place is three awards to Missouri, the UK, Wisconsin,
and Georgia. My question of the day today hit the
old Dentis stuff yesterday I had SnO cavities. Walked out
of there with my prize of a couple Badger Dentler
Group Dental Group chapsticks, which are amazing one of the
best free things Perks Area businesses offer when you visit them.

(28:33):
Thank you Jessica for saying ground round the popcorn. The
popcorn is I almost dare say. I think I will
say the best popcorn in the city. Maybe it make
some good popcorn at home that is fantastic there. Let's
see my computer's being a little slow here this morning.

Speaker 2 (29:01):
I know someone who used to go to Gate City
Bank every week to check his bank account balances for
the free cookies. I'm a Gate City guy too. Sounds
like a great person you're talking about. And yeah, they
do put on good cookies too. I know the South
Gates City has the I don't say the fresh homemade cookies.

(29:22):
There are a different breed of cookies. I'm not sure
where they get those four, but loved visiting the downtown branch.
I don't go there near enough. The app kind of
ruined the visits to the to the bank. Now I
can just look at my phone. There's no cookie reward
for that one.

Speaker 4 (29:40):
Tiffany says, Tina's nails free Cola keep sharing seven one
seven three ninety three.

Speaker 2 (29:46):
It's a good list.

Speaker 4 (29:47):
We can check this out together and check out some
businesses we're not visiting near enough that offers some really
good free perks. April, I know, I can't believe it's
actually April is officially here right now. I've been talking

(30:11):
about some of these stories today. Are you burnt out?
We go a million different directions. Weekends sometimes are even
more busy. Where you've got kids, you've got to take
them to their respective activities. You feel like your job, though,

(30:31):
isn't all that hard, but you're still burnt out. You
might actually have this instead. Have you heard the term borout?
I want to share boraut with you. It's trending after
Forbes did a story. It has a lot of the
same symptoms as burnout, but it's different. Instead of feeling
overwhelmed by work, you're underwhelmed and bored by it. Now
it doesn't mean you're lazy or don't doo much. Borot

(30:53):
can happen because you're in the same role and you've
been in the same role for too long, don't see
opportunities for growth, or don't interact with coworkers very much,
the combination of any of that.

Speaker 2 (31:04):
If you've never heard of borout, you're not alone. I'd
never heard of it till today. It's not a new term.

Speaker 4 (31:10):
Mental health experts have been using it for a while.
The authors of a book called Diagnosi borout coined it
back in two thousand and seven. It's more common than
it used to be because we're more mentally checked out
at work now, and it's part of a larger issue
called the Great Detachment. We feel a lot less connected
to our jobs and don't feel don't find as much
purpose in them as we used to. A lot of

(31:31):
companies they kind of treat you like chest ponds. They
being count you're not important to them. Borout trending like burnout,
but you're underwhelmed and bored by your job. It can
happen if you're in the same role too long or
don't see any room for growth.

Speaker 2 (31:50):
Hopefully you're not bored or burn today.

Speaker 4 (31:53):
The Forts in Music Station Next on thirty three, an
a he My second co host of the morning but
a busy morning.

Speaker 2 (31:59):
Yes, has been so good week. I know we were
hanging out last Thursday Beauty Bar getting the amazing team.
It was a grand opening party. Yes, it was thirty
second Avenue South. Go check out her amazing new facility.

Speaker 4 (32:15):
Here's my question of the day. And maybe you as
a certified dentist. Now, one of our sales superstars from
last year, now excuse me, took an online course I
think during Christmas.

Speaker 6 (32:26):
And yep, now, yeah that's exactly what I did. I
actually had a booked schedule too, but I cleared it
just to make room for treverity in the morning show.

Speaker 4 (32:35):
Amazing, That's why I've got to brob you of pop
tarts and piece of orange.

Speaker 2 (32:41):
Nothing but the best. So my question of the day
today with my awesome Badger Dental group Chapsticks, I wanted
to know about some great free products in around town.

Speaker 4 (32:54):
Maybe you go to a certain business because you know
they have this for free. Your old vise for you
to take I popcorn.

Speaker 6 (33:02):
Well, typically when I think freebies, I think like your birthday.
When it's your birthday and your signed up as like
a remember you can go to like coffee shops and
they give you like free drinks because it's your birthday.

Speaker 2 (33:15):
Only when it's your birth only when it's your birthday
at the coffee shops. Yep.

Speaker 4 (33:19):
There's a lot of birthday deals. If you sign up
for any app hopefully you get some sort of birthday
per Papa Murphy's get you. They give you a birthday pizza,
but they.

Speaker 2 (33:28):
Give you a windows that's nice to you. I did
not know you want it on the day. Yep. So
there's one more you can download too. Thank you guys
for thanking so many great area businesses in GFP. GF
think of business Thursday. Oh we've got to declare a

(33:48):
business the week Annie and we've got a sense of
one A gorgeous arrangement from Bluns by Misty. Yes we do.

Speaker 6 (33:54):
It was tough, like every week, it's very tough. But
I think we're going to go ahead with early Start
in the Grand City's Moth. According to Ashley, the teachers
go above and beyond every day to teach the kiddos
and they love and support them. That's very important in
the community.

Speaker 4 (34:10):
Early head Start, Yes, let's do it. Let's declare them
the business of the week. We will send them The
gorgeous arrangement from balloons by Misty. Feel free anytime you
want to tell us.

Speaker 2 (34:18):

talk to us about it. We'll instantly nominate them for
the following weeks Business of the Week.

Speaker 4 (34:27):
We'll get the early head start this week. The gorgeous
arrangement from balloons by Misty. How do you feel about
Eastern candy? I don't know how sweet you're You're sweet
tooth is.

Mart it Hey, what is your name.

Speaker 3 (34:58):
Is?

Speaker 2 (34:58):
Gabe?

Speaker 4 (35:00):
Shirt Gab my question of the day. Let's get into
this first, then we'll do a little game. Here, got
some awesome free chapstick from Badger Dental Group. I'm just
wondering about the best kind of free perch things businesses
offer when you go into their respective businesses that maybe
get you there an extra time just because they're offering
this free stuff.

Speaker 2 (35:21):
Right else, probably the cookies out there.

Speaker 4 (35:25):
I'm glad we work on the north side of town,
not the south set of town, all right, but smell
those cookies all the time, oh for sure. And I
have skipped dinner the night before a live broadcast the
following day at right now, just because I know the
cookies are waiting for me.

Speaker 2 (35:39):
That a boy. Just make sure like you're the tire
in your airs, is the air in your tires is
the right pressure? Yeah? She could sit in the waiting
room for ten minutes to have a cookie. That's the
best part, Gabe. Do you want to play overrated underrated
with us? Sure? What are we playing for? What do
you want to try to win?

Speaker 1 (35:57):
Here?

Speaker 2 (35:58):
Tickets and musk gun nuts, Chester Fritz Tuesday. I can
get your four pack to that couple tickets to Pendleton
Whiskey I've losty to a rodeo at the Allowers next Friday,
or four pack of tickets the toughest monster trucks the
following Saturday, the nineteenth. Probably the monster trucks. I got
a couple of kids that'd well, let's not disappoint here.

(36:19):
We'll try. Yeah, Prussure, say hi to Honnie Morton. Your
answers have to match her answers in our overrated underrated game. Okay,
so here is the first one. You just tell me,
I'll give you the topic. Is it overrated or underrated?

Speaker 4 (36:38):
Fitness influencers on Instagram, would you say overrated or underrated?

Speaker 2 (36:43):
Overrated? Honnie overrated? Overrated? I would three for three that
one too. They just yell at you. I don't like it.
I'm yelled out.

Speaker 6 (36:54):
Over post like five times a day, and that too.

Speaker 4 (36:58):
Put down the candy bar, you loser. How about air
fryers overrated or underrated?

Speaker 2 (37:07):
Follow out again? Air fryers, they're overrated. I think, in
my opinion, they're overrated.

Speaker 6 (37:15):
On here, oh, I said under I think there's so
many things you can do with an airfier. The possibilities
are endless. I had one for one day.

Speaker 2 (37:23):
I got one one Christmas, and then we took it
back on Boxing day the next day, just because it
just takes up so much space.

Speaker 6 (37:30):
Well, you're not doing it right, Trum.

Speaker 2 (37:31):
I know. I just don't do it. Don't do a
lot of things right. It's okay, we have three more chances.
We need two more run answers here. The TV show Friends,
is it overrated or underrated? Overrated?

Speaker 4 (37:47):
Even underlined? It I agree three for three on the overrated.
All right, don't overthink this next one. This is a
geest your kids in the monster trucks. Bruce Willis slashed, die.

Speaker 2 (37:59):
Hard overrated and or underrated? Oulrated? What was that cape? Overrated?
Bruce Willison die Hard is overrated? Uhad underrated? I think
it's it's impossible. It's impossible to overrate that. That's kind

(38:23):
of a trick question. Underrated is what he wrote down?
You better yet? Do you be? Kay Gabe? I'm glad
you're reconsidered. Pal. Yeah, awesome. You're going to the monster trucks. Hey, great,
I appreciate it. You know what we can do here,
We can up creature to pit passes.

Speaker 4 (38:41):
If you can kind of do a I'll give you
nine point three seconds to a monster truck voice.

Speaker 2 (38:46):
Kind of like the you pay for the whole seats,
you only need the voice. If you can pull that off,
will get your pit passes to You want to give
this a shot? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (38:56):
Sure, all right, nine point three seconds give me your
bed monster truck boys go, let's.

Speaker 2 (39:02):

I think you're getting it better than me. Do I
get your pit passes? I don't know. I tried it today.
It's big Air, It's Friday. That's gonna be good enough today.

Speaker 4 (39:24):
Perfect four tickets the Toughest Monster Truck Tour pit passes
to what station's proud to be your toughest Muster Truck Tour.

Speaker 2 (39:30):
Tuck that time for one more thing on Xcel ninety trade,
one more time, one more.

Speaker 4 (39:41):
All right, Eastern Candy. We're sixteen sleeves from the Big
Day itself.

Speaker 2 (39:46):
Other foods most people dislike will find themselves eating one
one month a year out of tradition, maybe just because
it's around, Like fruitcake on Christmas. I'll take your fruit
cake next Christmas. You want to toss in the garbage?
Granberry sounds for Thanksgiving?

Speaker 4 (40:00):
Cranberry. It's a nice piece of deck core for the table.
I don't know if anybody enjoys it.

Speaker 2 (40:05):
I don't know either. You scoop it out of.

Speaker 4 (40:07):
The can onto the table, swirl it around it nobody
takes any and you toss in the dumpster when everybody
leaves candy corn for Halloween.

Speaker 2 (40:16):
I enjoy that too, marshmallow Peeps.

Speaker 4 (40:20):
For Easter Instacart, they released a list of most popular
Easter candies on the platform.

Speaker 2 (40:26):
Peeps didn't make the top ten. I would put those
on the overrated list too.

Speaker 6 (40:30):
Well, it depends because don't they have different flavors?

Speaker 4 (40:33):
Do they taste different? I don't know if they're trying
to get us or not. Here's the most popular Easter candies.
It doesn't include Peeps number ten, Kinder chocolate candy eggs
with toys inside, Hershey's and milk chocolate candy eggs at Niner,
Starbar's jelly beans number eight, Lint milk chocolate bunnies salved

(40:56):
and there's a sour Patch kids at six.

Speaker 2 (40:58):
Okay, here's your.

Speaker 4 (41:00):
Top five most popular Eastern candies. Canburry cream eggs. There's
just so much sugar in those. I hate it hurts
your teeth when you're biting.

Speaker 2 (41:09):
You're just not that good.

Speaker 4 (41:11):
Hershey's milk chocolate number four. Here's your top three. The
canburry chocolate mini.

Speaker 2 (41:15):
Eggs, just the little ones. Yeah, that's a hard note
for Monnie. Yep, no different. What's your number one?

Speaker 6 (41:20):
It is the Reesus just a Reese's cup, I guess
but shaped in an egg.

Speaker 4 (41:25):
So the Reese's Peanut Butter eggs that is number one,
followed by Riese's Peanut Butter Cuffs, just playing cups or two.

Speaker 2 (41:32):
Yeah You're normal, yeahm or normal.

Speaker 4 (41:36):
Even though peeps missed the top ten nationally, they're very
popular in some areas of the country, particularly in Boston, Philadelphia,
and Washington. Other regional faves include Justin's Peanut Butter Cups
in San Francisco, Never Heard of Those Whoppers, Malt and
Milk Balls and Phoenix Canberry Milk Chocolate Bars in New
New York City, and Canburry Cream Eggs in Houston and Portland, Oregon.

(41:56):
Jelly Beans are the top last minute by I guess
the chocolate's sold out by then. Jelly beans are all
this the leftovers. They spike and popularity the day before Easter.
Around thirty five percent of American say jelly beans are
one of their favorite Easter candies, although the number would
probably plummet if they were asked specifically about blind jelly beans.

Speaker 6 (42:18):
I was just going to say, what about like the
jelly beans that have like the disgusting flavors, like it's oh.

Speaker 2 (42:25):
Yeah, the earwax and yeah, one of those calls. Yeah,
I know what you mean.

Speaker 6 (42:29):
Oh, I didn't know they had a name.

Speaker 2 (42:31):
I just thought that was like the jelly beans people
were talking about normal jelly beans, like the red ones
that taste like red, that taste like red orange. Most
popular candies don't include peeps. But the number one answer, Oh,
he's number one answer the Reese's peanut butter cup and eggs.

Speaker 4 (42:49):
I guess when the eggs are sold on just by
the plain peanut butter cups taste any difference, you can
cut them a little shape.

Speaker 2 (42:56):
And white eggs.

Speaker 6 (42:57):
I guess it's not the same.

Speaker 2 (42:58):
Though it's not the same.

Speaker 6 (43:00):
They say they have more peanut butter like even the
Christmas themed ones. Or yeah, I think so, I could
be lying. I don't know if that's worthy of all
or if that's more worthy of Let's say, where is
my sound effect?

Speaker 2 (43:14):
What I do with it today? Spreading knowledge? Yeah, well,
thanks for being part of the show again. It's officially
a Friday now. People talking about the stock market the
last couple of days, really the last few weeks here,
excuse me, what's happening with the stock market.

Speaker 3 (43:35):
And how would you describe the global economic outlook, user
making minimum wage? How is the stock market affecting your
savings account? The Dow, the S and P, and the
Nasdaq all took a hit. What's the latest? All of
that is gone?

Speaker 2 (43:54):
And what are you feeling with that kind of news.

Speaker 3 (43:57):
Let's get one last update on the economic out look
for the world. I asked, have got a speeding bullet,
more powerful, gonna look them out?

Speaker 2 (44:12):
And they don't believe tall buildings at a single bound. Look,
I'm in the sky. It's a bird.
