Speaker 1 (00:01):
You know, I'm pointing all the fingers of that damn
groundhog for predicting six more weeks of winter, because we
got spoiled last week with like eighty degree weather and
now it's like thirty three degrees this morning.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
Right now.

Speaker 1 (00:12):
Hey, by the way, it's Battle of the Morning. Welcome in,
glad that you're here for Monday Morning show. Let's take
a look at wat's trending so we can get this
show started. Had some wild weather over the weekend, as
we all had it and experienced that. National Weather Service
has confirmed that an EF one tornado did touchdown in
Rutherford County on Friday nights. They said that winds it

(00:33):
up to one hundred miles per hour, damaging home, snapping trees,
and leaving quite a mess there in Rutherfer County. Thankfully,
no injuries were reported, but emergency crews are still out
assessing the damage and taking.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
A quick look at sports.

Speaker 1 (00:48):
Congratulations to the Florida Gators basketball team winning the men's
SEC Championship basketball game, which of course they punched their
ticket to March Madness, and well, Tennessee also very well
represented in March Madness. The Valls, Vanderbilt, and Lipscomb. All

(01:08):
have punched their tickets to the NCAA tournament.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
Of course, Tennessee secure to high seat.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
They're looking to make a deep run Vanderbilt and let's
come ready to shake things up.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
Probably bust some brackets.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
Of course, brackets locked soon, so get yours filled out
before the madness begins. I'm gonna pick Lipscomb in the
first round. I think it's a Cinderella. They'll bust some brackets,
So put Lipscomb down to win their first game.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
That is a look at what's triggereding this morning.

Speaker 1 (01:34):

morning and up for grabs.

Today being Saint Patrick's day, everybody wears green. Everybody eats
and drinks things that are green. Right. Google looked at
the green foods and drinks that each state search for
more than other states. Uh, Mississippi and Louisiana are putting
booze in their shamrock shakes.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
That sounds delicious.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
Arizona is making green spaghetti, and California is going full
on Doctor Seuss with green eggs and ham. Now the
question is what about Tennessee are what are we doing?

Speaker 2 (02:51):
Right? We're looking up pistachio cookies. Out of all the things,
we're looking up pistachio cookies.

in honor of us giving away Nashville Sounds tickets, I
thought maybe this week we would do some baseball questions.
How good are you when it comes to baseball knowledge
and terminology?

Speaker 2 (04:13):
I'm pretty okay.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
Are you gonna try to pull a fast one on me?
You sound like you're not sure. You're gonna say like
I'm pretty good, but then you're like, no, I'm pretty okay.
I think this is gonna be easy for you. I'm
gonna ask you one stupid question. You get it right,
You're gonna go to the Nashville Sounds game opening weekend.
You get it wrong, somebody's gonna be able to steal
those tickets from you.

I'm ready?

Speaker 2 (04:35):
All right? How many strikes are in and outs?

Speaker 3 (04:41):
Oh?

Speaker 6 (04:41):
That would be three strikes and I strike out?

Speaker 2 (04:46):
Is three strikes? Your final answer, JR? It's my final answer, JR.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
I'm excited because you're going to the Sound game.

Day when you did blah blah blah blah blah. Yeah,

one oh five nine in the Rock, Nashville's classic rock.
It's Battle in the Morning. So I remember this vividly.

(05:57):
It was years ago. I was all in for Saint Patrick. Today,
I'm talking looking like a real life Leprechaun. I let
my beard grow out a little bit longer. My hair
was all scraggly and whatnot.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
And it was great.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
Well, me and a group of friends we hit up
a bar downtown. It was McFadden's on Second Avenue. I
mean there was live music, there was green beer flowing,
people dancing on tables. I mean, everything was perfect until
I made the mistake of having one or two, or
three or four green beers. I thought that I was

(06:31):
riverdance material. So I don't know what possessed me. I'm
pretty sure it was the alcohol or the random guy,
and that killed hyping me up.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
But I decided to attempt.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
An Irish jig yeah, that was the last time I
ever danced, because next thing I know, foot got caught
in a barstool down. I go off the bar, taking
out an entire tray of green jello shots with me.
And then when I think things can't get worse, right,
next thing I know, I look over, I spilled this
dude's guinness everywhere, include my pants, So it looks like

(07:01):
I went into the bathroom, and yeah it was. It
was not good, and and I just basically left and
got out of there as fast as I could. I
would love to hear your Saint Patrick's Day embarrassment story.

what city with the river and couldn't tell you.

Speaker 1 (09:06):
I don't know if that's like a crazy or wild

drummer Eskimo brothers. Now, I wonder if you're still with
that girl or not. I probably lean on the ladder
and say probably not, especially if she hooked up with
the drummer. Let's be honest when it comes to bands.

but hey, you know what, They're still in the March madness.
They still made it into the tournament. But boy, let
me tell you that felt like a home court game

(14:36):
for the Balls.

Yesterday.

Speaker 1 (14:37):
I was talking to a few Florida fans because I
was there DJ, and they were like, man, this is

Like I don't really have to come in here and
impress anybody because I'm here at the butt cracking dawn.
It's Battle in the morning. It's one O five nine
of the righte Nashville's classic rock. And sometimes I look
like I rolled out of bed literally, but I saw
this and I'm like, this is great.

Speaker 2 (15:25):

Speaker 1 (15:27):
There's an emerging trend of people wearing sweatpant jeans. If
you haven't seen this yet, it's what it sounds like,
sweatpants that are made to look like denim jeans. I'm
about to go do some online shopping for some sweatpants
jeans so then I can look professional yet comfortable. You

(15:48):

you see that one O five to nine in the
rock is your number one preset there? Well, why don't
you look over at the iHeartRadio app and make one
oh five nine in the rock your number one pre set
there as well, So that way your car radio matches
your iHeart radio app.

Speaker 2 (16:04):
Your iHeart radio app matches your car.

Speaker 1 (16:06):
Radio and anytime that you need to listen on the
iHeart Radio app one O five to nine. The rock
is just a tap away out story that everybody was
talking about when they found out that Jane Hackman and
his wife passed away just like unexpectedly. Right, But the
story gets even wilder now because of what's coming out.
Apparently Gene Hackman left his fortune to his wife. Yeah,

(16:31):
it looks like he made her the sole beneficiary back
in nineteen ninety five, didn't name his.

Speaker 2 (16:36):
Children in his will at all. She passed away before Hackman,
which raised some questions.

Speaker 1 (16:41):
About who now gets the estates, which one of his
kids because they weren't named in the will. All of them,
of course, have hired an attorney suggested that they might
pursue legal action regarding the estates.

Speaker 2 (16:55):
Sibling rivalry, taking it to a whole nother level.

Speaker 7 (16:58):
Now, don't don't don't, don't, don't do.

Speaker 5 (17:07):
Well.

Speaker 1 (17:07):
You see this story and you think, oh Florida, when
the headline reads box demon tracked down by cops and
it actually.

Speaker 2 (17:15):
Turns out stories from Pennsylvania. Let's get into it. Dough
of the Day.

Speaker 1 (17:18):
A doorbell camera recorded the odd moment when someone wearing
a handmade paper plate mask approached the front door of
the plate featured in large red eyes and a haunting smile,
and the person behind the mask weirdly said, I am
the box Demon. Nothing sinister transpired from the odd occurrence, though,
before turning around and leaving the intruway, the suspect planet

(17:38):
an empty cardboard box the door. Then the person said,
this box is a gift for you, creepy as hell.

Speaker 2 (17:45):
I know right.

Speaker 1 (17:46):
Please track down the suspect, though their identity remains confidential.

Speaker 2 (17:50):
The homeowner was informed of the.
