Speaker 2 (00:52):
So let's jump in. I'm excited about that's no nutrition, mom.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
So you said that food is a gift. What does
that mean, Doctor Kim.
Speaker 3 (01:02):
It is let's talk about the gift of food because
food is intelligent and it literally sends information to our
whole body. And I like to put it this way,
because what do we do about gifts.
Speaker 2 (01:15):
We get excited, we.
Speaker 3 (01:17):
Want to open it up, we want to know what's inside.
Once we get that gift, we may put it on
a special shelf. We take care of that gift. And
we need to do the same thing with food. And
especially since it's literally mentioned over twelve hundred.
Speaker 2 (01:36):
Times in the Bible, there's something to this.
Speaker 4 (01:39):
Yeah, we want to learn about it. It says in
this word, every.
Speaker 1 (01:41):
Good and perfect gift comes from the Father. So is
food included in that doctor gift?
Speaker 2 (01:47):
Food is included in that let me tell you so much.
Speaker 3 (01:50):
So most of Jesus' most important events inscription happen around food.
Speaker 2 (01:56):
It happened around beverages.
Speaker 3 (01:58):
He literally celebrated, whether it was at a marriage, whether
it was I'm preaching and people are hungry, or even
with the disciples. Let's sit down, let's break bread. Food
is important, it's intelligent, and it is a gift.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
Yeah, so we should be eating the right foods. Any
tips for today on foods that we should eat.
Speaker 3 (02:24):
Absolutely, we should always make sure with eating food that
we address how those nutrients are absorbed into our body.
The relationship actually between the food and what you're eating.
I always talk about the primary plate and the secondary plate,
because the primary plate is what drives us to our
(02:46):
secondary plate, and that primary plate is how we're working,
our environment, our home environment, what we're thinking, how we're feeling.
That's what drives us to crave certain things. I always
like to say, make sure you getting your minerals in,
make sure you're getting your citrus in.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
Make sure you're getting.
Speaker 3 (03:07):
Your carbs in, your protein. What kind of foods are
those good? Fats like avocados, also like papaya's, lemons, key limes,
fruits that's filled.
Speaker 2 (03:20):
With color, Veggies that fill with color.
Speaker 3 (03:22):
But remember last week we talked about all healthy foods
are not healthy for you, So make sure you're reading labels.
And I want to share two apps with you and
the audience where you can be intelligent when you go
into stores, because remember we said that food is intelligent
and sends information to our bodies. So there's an app
(03:44):
called Yuka Yuka, and there's an app call Read the Labels.
Speaker 2 (03:50):
Take the time when you go into the grocery store.
Speaker 3 (03:53):
And read labels, and stay on the outer perimeters of
the grocery store. Check out farmers, get to know your farmers,
or throw your own food.
Speaker 1 (04:03):
Okay, okay, so my my grocery list has changed over
the past couple of weeks because of you, doctor Kemp.
Speaker 4 (04:09):
I'm blaming it on you, Doctor Kemp.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
So make sure make sure you guys double check your
grocery list.
Speaker 4 (04:14):
Because doctor Kim is trying to get us right.
Speaker 1 (04:16):
We're gonna come back Wellness Wednesday. It's National Nutrition Month.
Well this Wednesday, it's sowing it with doctor Kim. What
did you put on your skin this morning? Because what
you put on your skin.
Speaker 4 (04:27):
May determine whether you lose or win? Is that right,
Doctor Kemp?
Speaker 2 (04:32):
Absolutely.
Speaker 3 (04:33):
I always say that what we put on our skin
goals in and we have to make sure that we're
pampering this skin and loving it.
Speaker 4 (04:43):
Yep, so soap, the older reant, lotion, all that, all.
Speaker 3 (04:47):
That detergent, the older reant.
Speaker 1 (04:51):
All right, Okay, yeah, we'll find out more from doctor
Kim on this Wellness Wednesday.
Speaker 4 (04:57):
Good Morning Inspiration thirteen ninety Family. It is a Well
and Us Wednesday.
Speaker 1 (05:01):
I know all of us are interested in being well,
living well, thinking well, eating well, moving well. Doctor Kim
is a wholeness wellness expert, a fitness coach. She does
it all and we get a treat every Wednesday from
doctor Kim. And you said that our skin is our
largest organ and so we just need to be extra
(05:22):
careful what we put on our skin.
Speaker 4 (05:24):
Is that correct?
Speaker 3 (05:25):
Absolutefully Yes, I want to talk about nutrition for the skin.
We must love the skin that we're in and what
we put on our skin literally goes in. It goes
into our bloodstream within twenty to thirty seconds of application,
even what we breathe into our nostrils.
Speaker 2 (05:44):
So I always tell my clients in.
Speaker 3 (05:47):
Any seminars or conferences that I go in, make sure
what you're putting on your skin, it feeds your skin.
Speaker 2 (05:55):
If it's so many different ingredients.
Speaker 3 (05:57):
On that box, you can't understand it, you can't read it,
you're wondering why you're having respiratory challenges or why you're
just not living the wealthy and healthy life. It has
to do a lot with the products that you're washing
your clothes, in washing your dishes, in putting on your skin.
(06:18):
So we must each and every one of us make
an intentional choice of what we're also feeding our skins.
Speaker 4 (06:27):
So what should we be putting on our skin.
Speaker 1 (06:29):
Because almost everything that you buy, at least at the
store has tons of ingredients in it.
Speaker 4 (06:34):
You know what I'm saying. So what's out there?
Speaker 3 (06:38):
So let me tell you I myself personally as a
nutritional scientist, I stop at a place called Raw Essentials,
and I love Raw Essentials. Raw It's actually called Raw
Body Essentials, and I love it because I've been able
to meet with the with the chemists, but they have
(06:59):
an actual store, so they're very mindful.
Speaker 2 (07:02):
All ingredients are probably.
Speaker 3 (07:03):
Under five or seven ingredients, all plant derived, and they
actually work. And I started doing this when my son
was diagnosed with asthma and epilepsi when he was younger,
and I had to start changing everything way back then.
He's thirty something now, but I started this way back then.
(07:24):
So I always tell people to make sure that you
feed this skin you are in because it's going to
impact your breathing, it's going to impact your blood, and
it's going to impact your belly.
Speaker 1 (07:36):
All right, And so you're talking about from lotions, you're
talking about from showerge deorderant.
Speaker 2 (07:43):
Deorderant detergent, air fresheners.
Speaker 3 (07:47):
We put air freshments in our car air fresheners in
our home and we don't understand how that's impacting our
indocrine system. And our indocrine system is what actually sends
different signals to our bodies. Where I irod life and
I don't want to get too deep, so we don't
You don't.
Speaker 2 (08:05):
Want to lose us.
Speaker 3 (08:06):
I don't want to lose you, but I do want
to make sure that we're making better choices. And my
better choice is always I go to this company, like
I said, called raw Essentials dot com. If you want
to know more, please follow me on my social media
and I will make sure that I post this black
(08:28):
owned company, especially since so many different people are going.
Speaker 2 (08:31):
Into you know, they aren't going into certain places pe shop.
Speaker 3 (08:37):
This is a place where I've been shopping because it's
it's most important that we love this skin that we're
in and remember what we put on our skin goes in.
Speaker 4 (08:49):
That's good, that's good. Doctor can We learned a lot
from you today.
Speaker 1 (08:52):
Today's lesson on nutrition and skin definitely made the difference.
