Speaker 1 (00:39):
My favorite topic Women's Health Awareness Month, because I'm a
woman and we have our listenership is mainly women, especially
adult women, Doctor Kim. And so for Women's Health Awareness Month,
you wanted to tackle the word.
Speaker 2 (00:55):
That some of us don't want to say.
Speaker 1 (00:58):
Oprah's been talking about it, she did a whole Holly
Berry's been talking about it.
Speaker 2 (01:02):
Menopause.
Speaker 3 (01:04):
Yes, oh my goodness. And we're not talking about putting
me in on pause either.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
Great, we're talking about so hormones.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
We as women deal with as we gracefully get older,
and it's actually enforced stages. There's pre menopause, perimenopause, menopause,
and postmenopause, and I tell you, when you're in it,
you want to put everything on paulse So we're here
to just share some insight on how we can ease
(01:38):
some of the symptoms that any of us can go through.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
Whether we're in our thirties.
Speaker 3 (01:44):
Forties, fifties, sixties, there is help and support for us.
Speaker 2 (01:50):
And it's a beautiful thing.
Speaker 3 (01:52):
We as women, we are evolving and we're, like I said,
we're getting older. But there are some things that I
want to share with you and your listeners today so
we can live life.
Speaker 2 (02:02):
Well, that's good.
Speaker 1 (02:04):
So we're gonna come back and talk about what to
do if you're going through any of these phases of menopause.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
But what really happens to the body.
Speaker 1 (02:11):
What's changing in a woman's body once she goes through
these four phases of menopause?
Speaker 2 (02:15):
Can you just share briefly, guess what the estrogen is dropping?
Believe it or not, We.
Speaker 3 (02:22):
As women we have testosterone as well and progestrion. So
you have all progesterone so you have all these different
hormones that's being depleted as we get older. Once that
happens and you have some stagnation in your ovaries and
(02:42):
in the area of your reproduction system, then your body reacts.
It heats up, It has you in different moods, it
has you craving certain things, and so there's a lot
of different changes that will happen. And we just need
to supplement. We need to exercise with actual weights, we
(03:03):
need to hydrate to feel great. It's just some extra
support that our body is asking for because those hormones
are no longer there.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
All right, sounds great. Doctor Kim Wholeness Wellness Expert going
to come back.
Speaker 2 (03:16):
We're talking about minopause. There's four phases.
Speaker 1 (03:19):
And we're gonna talk about what to do if you're
going through minopause.
Speaker 3 (03:24):
I especially know about them hot flashes.
Speaker 1 (03:25):
A lot of ladies talk about those hot flashes.

And ladies, this one is for US Women's Women's Health
Awareness Month and uh minopause.
Speaker 2 (04:55):
Is a hot topic.
Speaker 1 (04:57):
Oprah Winfrey did a whole big special on it, and
so it's top of mind for so many and doctor
Kim told us, is there are four phases of menopause
and things that we can do. If we're going through
any phase of menopause. Pastor Kim, come on and tap
in this morning.
Speaker 3 (05:13):
Yes, Well, keep in mind that menopause is an individual
experience that different women will experience at certain times of
their life. It can be as early as in your
thirties all the way up to sixty.
Speaker 2 (05:29):
How you market that's twelve.
Speaker 3 (05:32):
Consecutive months of no minstral cycle, no actual having to
I remember when I was growing up, I.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
Was like, oh, I can't wait till this is over.
Speaker 3 (05:45):
I didn't know that when it was over, a whole
waves of hormones which just bum rush me. Whether you're
in tree, whether you're in perry, whether you're in menopause
or postmenopause, there's some that we can do. One of
the first things we can do is to lift heavy
(06:05):
lift weights.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
When you lift.
Speaker 3 (06:08):
Weights, it actually helps control how sugar enters into your blood.
Speaker 2 (06:16):
Sugar and sleep and stress.
Speaker 3 (06:19):
All of those asss impact hot slashes as well as
our mood.
Speaker 2 (06:26):
So making sure that we strength train, we weight train, not.
Speaker 3 (06:30):
Just cardio, not just walking, but weight training will help
us immensely. Also pulling heat out of the liver. You
can pull heat out of the liver with whole aule
of your jail. You can also use things.
Speaker 2 (06:45):
Like magnesium or make a three. You can use blue
and black cohash.
Speaker 3 (06:52):
I know a lot of people will say black cohash,
but there's a blue too, so both blue and black
cohash would be absolutely amazing. Magnesium. These different things will
help us immensely. And then let me give you some
aromatherapy things that you can do. Okay, you can do Bergamont, clary,
stage rose, lavender, sandal wood, and you can mix them
(07:16):
all up, put them in a hot towel and you
can smell the towel. Or you can put all of
those oils together in some lotion or some type of shade,
butter and cream and put it over your body and
that will calm you as well.
Speaker 2 (07:31):
Oh wow, it seems like a lot, doctor keV.
Speaker 1 (07:33):
I thought it was something I could find in my
bathroom on my kitchen.

want to go and open up your cabinet, you can
open up your cabinet to.

And uh, I guess it's just a part of life.

still here, You're alive.
