Speaker 1 (00:00):
What's up, Saints. It's a Wellness Wednesday, Doctor Kim. We're
gonna talk about stress. It's National Stress Awareness Small. You
know the same say that you are too blessed to
be stressed? Does this apply to what we're talking about today?

Speaker 2 (00:13):
Well, a lot of people growing up always have said
too blessed to be stressed. But I want to know
do they really know what it is to be blessed?
And they're all, stress is not bad, but we're blessed
and we can handle stress.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
Yes, let's put it that way. Wellness Wednesday Inspiration thirteen
ninety family. Y'all ready to learn today?

Speaker 3 (00:36):
I am. It's a Wellness.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
Wednesday with doctor Kim Holness wellness expert.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
She lives his lifestyle, she.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
Has clients, she has books, she has products. But most importantly,
you want to want to get the information out to
our community.

Speaker 3 (00:51):
And you mentioned like you know more than ever before.

Speaker 1 (00:53):
Now is the time for us to take care of
our bodies, to take ownership of our bodies and our health.
We need you know, we don't know what's gonna happen
from day to day, but if there's something that we
can do, we should empower ourselves to do it is that, right,
doctor Kei.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
Absolutely, we are fearfully and wonderfully made a physician.

Speaker 3 (01:11):
Heal thyself.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
But so many things that you and I can choose
each and every day so that we're living that life
that God came for. Jesus came that we may have
life to the full till it overflows. You know, we
live in Him, we move in him, we have our
being in Him, but we also have to be disciplined.

(01:34):
That's good.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
Yeah, okay, we want to talk about stress, yes, and
so you know the saints we always say too blessed
to be stressed, but you have a different spin on
it today, doctor Kim.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
Absolutely, because of course we've heard we're too blessed to
be stressed, but we're blessed and all stress is not bad.
And that's what we talked about earlier. It's knowing how
to manage it, how to bring harmony to it, and
the supportive things that you and I could do each

(02:08):
and every day, whether it's meditation, whether it's exercise, whether
it's simply be still and know. And when you look
at a few of scriptures in the Bible, one talks
about be still and know that I am God. But
the Lord is our shepherd, and we shall not want.
And he talks about how he leaves us, how he

(02:29):
guides us, how he makes us lie down, and sometimes
we just need to go lay down. We need to
take a nap, we need to unplug, we need to
back away, we need to you know, put a pause
on it. And when we put a pause on things,
and when we realize the things that we can handle
and the things that we can't and just go with

(02:50):
the flow. Like we mentioned earlier, we will take man
just stress off just from releasing the control and having
a sit down and being still. So I really want
to just push that. Sometimes we just got to be
still and meditate, be quiet, go lay down, go take

(03:11):
a nap. So that's one great thing that we can do.

Speaker 3 (03:14):
Sometimes I'll just go sit in my car for about
fifteen minutes. You know, you're working and you're thinking you're.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
Being pulled on phone calls, text messages, emails.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
You're like, okay, let me just go to my cands.
Just sitting there for a boy.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
And you know one thing that I'll do, I'll take
myself through what I call a Paul practice. And this
Paul practice is found in Philippians four and eight, and
it said, finally, brethren, I compel you right, what's wherever
things you think?

Speaker 3 (03:43):
Brother?

Speaker 2 (03:43):
It's true, honest, noble, pure of good report. If there
be any praise those things that you've seen in me,
do in a god of peace, that peace that's affiliated
with what you think, what you say, you know, let

(04:04):
those things be a part of your daily practice. So
i'll call it. I'll call it, let me do a
pall practice. What do I need to think on it?

Speaker 3 (04:13):
Was it true? Was it noble?

Speaker 2 (04:16):
Was it honest?

Speaker 3 (04:17):
Was it pure?

Speaker 2 (04:18):
And I'll take myself through those you know, steps in practice?

Speaker 3 (04:21):
All right, it seems like we're in a therapy session
right now. We're doctor Cam. Okay, she is old, this
wellness expert.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
We're gonna come back and talk about this being National
Stress Awareness Month on.

Speaker 3 (04:32):
A wellness Wednesday, Saints.

Speaker 1 (04:35):
It's on this Wednesday, doctor Kim, We're gonna talk about stress.
It's National Stress Awareness moll. You know the same say
that you are too blessed to be stress? Does this
apply to what we're talking about today?

Speaker 2 (04:47):
Well, A lot of people growing up always have said
too blessed to be stressed. But I want to know,
do they really know what it is to be blessed?
And that all stress is But we're blessed and we
can handle stress.

Speaker 3 (05:03):
Yes, let's put it that way.

Speaker 4 (05:04):
Wellness Wednesday, Well this Wednesday at Sonya with doctor Kim
Wellness Wholeness Expert, Our Scripture, Our Foundational Scripture, third John
we in the book y'all beloved, I pray that all
may go well with you and that you may be
in good health, just as your soul is prospering.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
So we're in the book when we're talking about wellness
and wholeness and health and we're talking about stress. Today
it's a National Stress Awareness Month and stress is a
normal and es central part of the human experience. And
doctor keV you said that there's things that we can
do to supplement the stress.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
Right, absolutely, each and every one of us. The moment
sometimes we wake up, there is a wind of decisions
and choices and clarity that we need throughout the day
or wherever we're going, whatever we're doing. But guess what
we can supplement and support stress because all stress is

(06:05):
not bad stress. So normally I'll put certain liquid vitamins
and minerals in place each and every day from the
moment I wake up throughout the entire day to make
sure that I'm supporting healthy hormones and that those hormones
that I release. As far as cortisol, Cortisol is a

(06:25):
hormone that wakes us up, but it's also a stress
or hormone, and so if I'm experiencing any type of
spikes of cortisol throughout the day, there are certain practices
that I will make sure that I implement and integrate
so I'll have a less stress load. So some of

(06:48):
those things that I'll do is I'll make sure that
I'll have like magnesium and I love Gabba Gaba. That
is an amazing supplement that will actually slow the brain
down from racing and feeling like it has to make
all the choices and decisions of the day. It's a

(07:10):
great a neuro transmitter herb that people will like. Zinc
is good, and then vitamin D. Getting out in the
sun is good. Not just having vitamin D, but when
you're out in the sun and you are incorporating vitamin D,
it absorbs better your vitamin BEES.

Speaker 3 (07:29):
Not only is it.

Speaker 2 (07:30):
A heart regulator, but it's also a great stress stress supporter.
And then when you look at herbs asa Ganda, I
always say wakanda Ganda.

Speaker 3 (07:45):
For people to remember it.

Speaker 2 (07:47):
That's a good adaptogen as well as a Valerian root.
You can get your valarian root even through Tea's it's
really good, holy bazo and ginger. So many different supplements
and earth herbs that we can support incoming. It's coming in.
So when it comes in, we're able to navigate.

Speaker 1 (08:09):
Yeah, duck Kevis like she's speaking in tongues when she
talks with these big words, like what you're saying. And
so is it easy to find these liquid supplements and
things that you're speaking of?

Speaker 3 (08:21):
Is this like the one stop shop place? And how
do you get all this stuff?

Speaker 2 (08:25):
Absolutely well, you could go into Whole Foods. They have it,
Sunrise and certain you know, suburbs have it. Even in
the city. They have many health and wellness stores. And
so when you go in just ask for these different supplements,
vitamins and herbs, and then you can always get them

(08:47):
through your food, your veggies, your whole grains, your lemons,
your key lines. It's a plenty of things that you
can actually get through food.

Speaker 3 (08:58):
So there is a way, y'all, There is a way
I'll be like I can find that. It's a way.

Speaker 1 (09:03):
Doctor Kim is gonna have all that information laid out
for you. Make sure you reach out to her Meet
