I'm doing this story just for you, Shane. George Jones,
the Possum. New music from him was not what I
expected this year. You know, he passed away eleven years ago.
But now we have the Lost Nashville Sessions that comes
out next month with sixteen songs that were only recorded
in one or two takes specifically for the radio in
the nineteen seventies. But these particular versions have never been
(02:34):
released the record label. Folks found them, gave them to
a producer, bumped up the audio quality, added some instruments,
and here's what it sounds like. We have the first
single already.

Beautifully Broken, and he showed up at the Walmart and
Wichitak hands and he wanted to buy a few hard

had no idea who he was.
Speaker 1 (03:07):
Seriously, the coolest thing about Walmart, they're all set up
the same.
Speaker 4 (03:10):
They're like waffle House. I know where pepper things are.
Speaker 3 (03:13):
Traditionally, I come to the store to see if my
albums on the shell. That's how I came into a Walmart.
Speaker 1 (03:17):
They didn't know me.

Speaker 4 (04:04):
Number five, the pangolin is the only mammal that is
completely covered in scales. Completely cover the pangolin, also known
as an ant eater. Yeah yeah, scale all over its body.
Number four car mufflers and firearms silencers were made by
the same guy, Hiram Percy Maxim.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
Obviously that guy had a problem with loud noises.
Speaker 4 (04:28):
Number three Steak and Shake and Maxim magazine both owned
by the same company from San Antonio. We realized big
glory holdings, so you could think about Maxim magazine next
time you're ordering your you know, stay furger and shake.
Number three. California produces almost ninety five percent of the
wine grapes grown in the United States, and if it
(04:49):
were its own country, California would be the fourth biggest
wine producing country in the world, behind France, Italy and Spain.
Speaker 3 (04:56):
Number one.
Speaker 4 (04:57):
And is it a rock or a boulder depends on
how big it is. Right, a rock is considered a
boulder if it's more than ten point one inches.
Speaker 3 (05:06):
In diameter ten inches.
Speaker 4 (05:09):
The next time a rock falls on your head, get
out the measuring tape and you can say I got
hit by a boulder if it's bigger than ten point
one If.
Speaker 3 (05:15):
A rock falls on my head, I'm calling you because
I know where it came from.
Speaker 2 (05:19):
I mean, I can confirm nor deny that statements.
Speaker 3 (05:22):
Okay, we're like road runner around here in Kylo. Meet
me out of here. I haven't really talked about it.
We've had so much going on. Yesterday, of course, when
we were filling up with the Share themself and try
to help those in South Florida with the Operation Home Front.
And by the way, you guys did drap that that
truck was full by two pm. But I know about
(05:43):
this month or much. But I'm going to leave this
weekend for your home city of Memphis, Tennessee, and visit
with our friends at Saint You'd Research Hospital. It's the
seminars and the Country Cares for Kids trip if we
take every year, and I'll be back next thursday.
Speaker 4 (05:58):
I know we're going to miss you next week as well.
But that's such a cool place to visit and such
a great trip. I mean, you're gonna get to go
tour the hospital. You're gonna get to meet with the
children of Saint Jude and learn about the latest life
saving technologies that they've developed to help cure childhood cancer.
Speaker 2 (06:12):
It's amazing.
Speaker 3 (06:13):
Anything new in Memphis that you know of? I mean,
is there any particular restaurant that I need to hit
when I go to your hometown.
Speaker 4 (06:20):
Well, everybody always talks about the Rendezvous because it's world famous.
I mean that's where like the world leaders go when
they come to America and they come to Memphis and
they go to the Rendezvous, and it's really really good.
But one of my favorites is Central Barbecue.
Speaker 3 (06:32):
All right, now you went to you said you mentioned Rendezvous. Now,
Rendezvous is like a dry rub. Is Memphis a dry
rub town?
Speaker 1 (06:39):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (06:39):
Not really?
Speaker 4 (06:40):
They have it, but I'm not a dry rub girl.
I mean most places will have both, but I like
it covered in sauce.
Speaker 3 (06:46):
I mean Central Barbecue.
Speaker 4 (06:47):
Central Barbecue. They've got everything in the pulled pork in
the side.
Speaker 3 (06:50):
There's your mouth watering.
Speaker 4 (06:51):
Stop it because you can't talk about Memphis in my
hometown in Memphis Barbecue, because you know, nothing compares to it.
Speaker 3 (06:58):
Nothing compares I get it. But I'll bring you something
back from your hometown. I'll be more than happy to
bring you just a little something something thank you. I'll
go down to Central Barbecue and see if they've got
like a fried apple pie or something.
Speaker 4 (07:10):
I'll be up there for Thanksgiving, so you're going to
be yeah, so I'll get my field inn for sure.
Speaker 3 (07:14):
We're looking forward to visiting with the kids of Saint
You'd Research Hospital and we'll be back Bolly Air Monday.
Test is going to carry you through all the way
till Thursday, and I'll see at the end of next week.
Rightly belong. We've got a lot more left here on
the show and an iHeartRadio World premiere that's going on
today with Morgan.
Speaker 4 (07:30):
Andy Morganwallan, and he just announced that he's putting on
a music festival too. We'll have details about that.
Speaker 3 (07:35):
Manety two to five WPAP. Glad you're with us this morning.
Let's go ahead and bring you up today with the
three that you need to take with you as things
that you've got to know today.
Speaker 5 (07:43):
Doctor Shane and Test present three things you need to
know onpap.
Speaker 3 (07:49):
Did you know Many Mouse has got to make her
debut at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. It's a six yes,
a sixty foot balloon this year and Mini Mouse.
Speaker 2 (07:59):
Oh has she not been in it?
Speaker 3 (07:59):
But I don't think so. I don't know. I don't know.
I don't know how we missed it. I know Mickey's
going to be there again this year. Donald Duck, goofy all,
this is for the first time. And Minnie Mouse too, whoa.
Speaker 2 (08:11):
We've never had them but there before.
Speaker 4 (08:13):
We've had the minions for years, but we're just now
getting Mickey and Minnie and.
Speaker 3 (08:17):
My favorite the when Santa Claus comes through the Macy's
Thanksgiving Day Parade. I love that. And then the big
inflatable turkey I.
Speaker 2 (08:23):
Love ooh was just because you get hungry.
Speaker 4 (08:26):
Absolutely that Australian Olympic breakdancer Ray Gun, which would be
an amazing Halloween costume by the way, because you could
just dance terribly and no one would know. But she's
getting her own statue in Melbourne, Australia, her performing her
signature kangaroo move. Apparently she's still the number one ranked
breakdancer in the world. Despite the epic fail at the Olympics, Like.
Speaker 2 (08:47):
What was that? People are still talking about it.
Speaker 3 (08:50):
Oh, it's insane, it's insane. Mittel making news today. Mattel
is making a movie based on their their Viewmaster toy.
Remember the view Masters that you have one?
Speaker 4 (08:59):
Yeah, we're you put the like the disc in that
had that thing. You put it in and it looked
like you coun see animals and stuff.
Speaker 2 (09:04):
I got one for my kids.
Speaker 3 (09:05):
All back there you go, there, you go. Well, they're
making a it's gonna be a movie based on the Viewmasters.
Speaker 2 (09:11):
Are you gonna like be able to go to the
places you see in the view Master? Is that a thing?
Speaker 6 (09:15):
Like?
Speaker 2 (09:15):
How do you make up that toy into a movie?
Speaker 3 (09:16):
Could it could be? We'll see what happens. They said,
there's no attached directors, writers, our actors just yet.
Speaker 2 (09:22):
They can tell us they've got the toilet, they've got
the toy.
Speaker 3 (09:24):
We've got the toy, and we've got the idea, and
we've said we're going to do it, but we don't
know who's going to help us do it.
Speaker 4 (09:29):
So well, I guess Mattel. Barbie was Mattel, right. So,
after the success of the Barbie movie. Maybe they're trying
to make more movies based on toys.
Speaker 3 (09:36):
Maybe, so I love let me brag on you and
love on you real quick for what you did yesterday
with the big County Sheriff's Office and all of our friends. Listen,
we set up yesterday at six am and Walmart to
get back show our love and support and help those
right here the great state of Florida, Lynn.
Speaker 4 (09:50):
Haven p D, the lynn Haven Fire Department, the City
of lyn Haven, and mister Ruter Plumbing, Bill Kramer Chevrolet.
Thank you guys all so much, and of course all
the district school students that showed up to help load
those trucks, packed the supplies, make signs, hold signs. It
was a great showing of community and supporter and it
was really great. Thank you guys so much.
Speaker 3 (10:07):
Happing helping those in the wake of Hurricane Milton. My goodness,
we've got a long way to go. Yesterday when we
started the broadcast, they were still like close to seven
thousand people still without power in the state of Florida. Now,
mind you, if we go north to Ashville this morning,
they woke up to thirty two degrees and there are.
Speaker 2 (10:27):
People living in tent cities like they were here Immunity.
Speaker 3 (10:29):
In Asheville, they woke up to freezing temperatures this morning there.
So thank you for giving back not only to the
Carolina's East Tennessee, but helping us yesterday with Operation home
Front and helping out South Florida as well. I do
want to remind everybody that particular load I said yesterday
was going to Port Saint Lucy, actually to a warehouse
in Bradenton, just north of Sierra shild That's okay, right
(10:50):
there on the sun coast.
Speaker 2 (10:51):
Perfect.
Speaker 3 (10:52):
Its gonna be nice that y'all wait. Love me is
doctor Shandon Tennis for coming back on WPAP Panama City
the weekend Baby Friday Friday. I cannot believe we have
gone this far on the show and you haven't given
me not one, not one roll tide, not one roll.
Speaker 4 (11:14):
Tide because it'll be a cold day in HG double
toothpicks when I do well.
Speaker 3 (11:19):
Tomorrow we battle the Tennessee Balls. I mean tomorrow it's
Alabama and Tennessee. What time is that games is thirty?
You go in.
Speaker 4 (11:30):
I noticed you didn't wear any Alabama gear today at all.
You haven't at all all week I didn't have. I
think it's because you're nervous. No, I think, I mean, yeah, I'm.
Speaker 3 (11:39):
Just under built.
Speaker 2 (11:40):
You almost lost the South Carolne.
Speaker 3 (11:43):
No, no, no, I think I think.
Speaker 2 (11:44):
I think you're nervous.
Speaker 3 (11:46):
I don't think so.
Speaker 2 (11:47):
The balls.
Speaker 3 (11:49):
I think big boys, guys coming down the hallway right now.
It is not headline the subject. We are ready for
headline subject. Let's go.
Speaker 6 (11:58):
This is not headline news. Thirteen thousand cases of minute
made lemonade have been recalled because they were mislabeled as
having zero sugar. However, they were properly labeled as containing
zero lemons. Oh Snoop Dogg turns fifty three on Sunday.
How exciting he's reaching the age he's looked for the
(12:19):
past ten years. A new study says that using a
standing desk can lead to circulatory health issues. All right,
first they told us you shouldn't sit. Now they say
you can't stand. Hey, I give up? Where should I adjust?
A microphone? And A new women's three on three basketball
league is being launched next year. It's expected to struggle
(12:42):
unless it features three Caitlin Clarks playing against three other
Caitlin Clarks. This is not headline news.
Speaker 1 (12:49):
Some Scuttie with your sausage, some Tim with your toast,
one hundred, Doctor Shane and Tess in the morning on
five wpap.
Speaker 3 (13:05):
Aja, that's good stuff. They are dull Rock at two
bucks and dou wdpap Give me a roll time, test coddle,
big roll time. Not on your life, Come on, give
me a roll time.
Speaker 2 (13:14):
I'd rather get a new job, all right, I'd rather
lose a toe.
Speaker 3 (13:16):
So it's Alabama and Tennessee tomorrow. You said two thirty kickoff, right,
that is gonna get it.
Speaker 4 (13:22):
But the fun actually starts tonight because the Seminoles FSU
has a Friday night game. They're kicking off at six
o'clock against Duke in Durham, North Carolina. But then the
matchup start early Saturday morning with number six Miami playing
at Louisville. Virginia's at number ten Clemson Nebraska, and number
sixteen Indiana and Auburn playing number nineteen Missouri, all of
(13:42):
those games starting at eleven o'clock, and then nothing else
really too exciting is going to happen. South Carolina is
at Oklahoma at eleven forty five, then Alabama playing at
Tennessee at two thirty game. Now Alabama's ranked number seven.
My balls in at number eleven, and uh, I think
Alabama fans are nervous.
Speaker 3 (14:01):
I don't. I don't. I think we're gonna walk in
and do what we should have done to Vandy.
Speaker 2 (14:05):
But I think I bet you couldn't hush that you
couldn't do to Hush like you almost didn't do to
South Carolina.
Speaker 3 (14:11):
Would you be sweet? Be nice?
Speaker 2 (14:13):
Nope?
Speaker 3 (14:13):
Be nice?
Speaker 4 (14:13):
Not This week the area number fourteen, Texas A and
M is playing at Mississippi State at three point fifteen.
Then this is going to be an interesting game. Number
five Georgia at number one Texas. Texas gets number one by.
Speaker 3 (14:26):
The way, I don't know, I don't know, but I'm
Texas have thanks gonna pull that one up.
Speaker 2 (14:30):
That's gonna be at six thirty.
Speaker 4 (14:31):
And then you've also got Kentucky playing at Florida the
Gators down there in the swamp at six forty five.
Speaker 3 (14:36):
There you go, all right, big game to watch that's
coming up tonight with FSU, go get them. Knowles, have
a good one, Knowles, have a good game, bring home
the w And of course tomorrow it's roll time, roll
yew with my University, but that I.
Speaker 2 (14:51):
Was on a rocky top down in the tennis.
Speaker 6 (14:54):
Good
