Speaker 1 (00:02):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
I'm not even listening.
Speaker 3 (00:03):
You're not listening to what I'm saying to me.
Speaker 1 (00:07):

Speaker 1 (00:14):

in just a few minutes. Out of Memphis, Tennessee that

I'm just so proud to be here.
Speaker 3 (00:45):
Man.
Speaker 1 (00:46):
We're on the brink of Labor Day weekend. I know,
remember growing up with that rule that you can't wear
anything white after Labor Day.
Speaker 4 (00:53):
I'm abide by that.
Speaker 1 (00:55):
You know. There's people who just hate it, and a
lot of people think that rule is outdated. They're gonna
wear it anyway, I think so, I mean I do.
I'm at least a white T shirt. I'm not gonna
wear head to toe white thick of pants. It's a
pants thing. You can't wear white pants. That's an old rule.
Speaker 5 (01:07):
The thing is, I have like one of my favorite
pairit of shorts is my white cutoff shorts, and I'll
wear those until it's too cold to wear them, you
know what I mean. But I won't wear head to
toe white, but I'll wear.
Speaker 1 (01:15):
One or the other. Yeah, like white pants and stuff
I didn't.
Speaker 4 (01:18):
Wearing white pants is just asking for trouble to begin
with anyway.
Speaker 1 (01:21):
Yeah, me too, because I'm gonna sit down in a
mud buddle, have.
Speaker 4 (01:23):
You go to drop something off myself with a five minutes.
Speaker 1 (01:25):
Absolutely, absolutely quickly look at that forecast, guys, Good morning.
Speaker 6 (01:28):
And good Thursday morning too, doctor Shane. It's going to
be a scorcher today across the northwest Florida. High temperatures
will be climbing up into the load of mid nineties
feels like temperatures near one hundred and five degrees. We
will see about a fifty percent chance in some of
those afternoon showers and thunderstorms stick.
Speaker 1 (01:43):

(02:04):
On the brink of the weekend.
Speaker 5 (02:05):
Yeah, we're definitely gonna see some very high temperatures, feels
like in those triple digits, and of course that pattern
with a chance of some storms showers in the afternoon,
So sunglasses and umbrellas.
Speaker 4 (02:14):
According to Chris, it's.
Speaker 1 (02:14):
Gotta feel like one hundred and five again today. Oh well,
heat is on. I'm loving the afternoon thunderstorms, just the
coolest off a little bit. I'm loving that. Yeah. So
plans this weekend for Labor Day, hitting the grill, spending
time with friends, family, Oh, all of the above.
Speaker 4 (02:28):
I think we might go float the springs.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
There you go.
Speaker 5 (02:31):
I'm gonna do a lot of cook in, a lot
of cleaning because we've got my mother in law, Karen,
coming in town on Monday for a visit for the
next week.
Speaker 4 (02:38):
So we'll also be doing a lot of chorin well.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
Miss Karen. Miscaren's a sweetish she is. This Labor Day weekend,
Americans will devour over sixty five million pounds of beef.
You all beef. That's what we're shaking on the grill.
Weber Grill says nearly seventy percent of Americans will grill
this weekend. Mustard is the number one condiment gotta have.
See you're not a mustard girl, or pickle or you ketchup? Oh,
(03:01):
I didn't no ketchup.
Speaker 6 (03:02):
Now.
Speaker 5 (03:02):
I like tomato stuff. I don't mind tomato sauce, but
I don't.
Speaker 1 (03:05):
Like ketchup girl. What do you do if your fries it?
I'm did ranch?
Speaker 6 (03:09):
Right?
Speaker 4 (03:10):
Ranch?
Speaker 5 (03:11):
I like right, I like may I like mayo on
my burgers, but I like I'll dip my fries in
ranch or any other good sauce.
Speaker 1 (03:18):
Most arbecue sauce, most all American foods. Do you know
that that apple pie is the number one for Labor
Day week as far as it's sweet. Hamburgers are twenty
five percent hot dogs and then just barbecue. So it's
either hamburgers, hot dogs barbecue for Labor Day weeked, and
your dessert, it's going to be that an apple pie.
That's that's an American Labor Day weekend cookout.
Speaker 5 (03:36):
I'm okay with all of that. I cannot find one
single complaint.
Speaker 1 (03:40):
Just leave the pickles off the apple pie, right.
Speaker 4 (03:42):
No, yeah, no pickles on my apple pie.
Speaker 1 (03:43):
I did not know you were not a ketchup fan.
After all these years, I knew mustard and pickles, but
I didn't I like it. Not a ketchup, Not a
ketchup person. She gotta ketchup ketchup. A hard country minutes
coming on here on WPAP plus test is five. That's
five random facts. There still to come here on dou
WPAP as well. Good morning Thursday, working all the weekend, Baby,
(04:04):
we got you. We got ninety two to five WPAP
Welcome back, looking good this morning. Traffic roll and let
us know if you have any delays seven six, nine,
fourteen hundred. I remind myself on all the time tests,
we never say the phone number enough. That's right, you know,
And when we're talking about something, a lot of times
we want your opinions. So all the time, let us
(04:24):
know phone lines are open and and call me about
anything that we're talking about. Here. A lot of folks
want a song. This morning. We had dedications to get
through Yeah and requests talk about the hottest song we
got right now on double DPAP. We have our opinion
because we listen all the time and we're sitting here
in studio playing some of the biggest songs in the country.
But I'm curious to know your opinion, our listener's opinion
(04:47):
of the hottest song on PAP right now. We got
to get to that because there's some good.
Speaker 5 (04:51):
Stuff it definitely it's a different perspective. Collabs, oh, for sure.
There's so many collabs these days too. You know, is
that a good thing or is that a bad day?
Speaker 1 (04:58):
I won't talk about it. Let's get into it. The
iHeart Country at the latest news from Music City. Let
in Tessa's Iheard Country Minute.
Speaker 5 (05:08):
Have you heard us talk before about Brad Paisley's community
oriented nonprofit organization. It's called The Store, and it's a
grocery store that's referral based and it's for families in need.
And basically, you go there and they don't just hand
you you get what you get. They let you shop
the store for things that you want and need and
it kind of gives you some dignity, you know, along
with not just not just a handout.
Speaker 4 (05:29):
Well, they're getting their second location.
Speaker 1 (05:30):
Wow, yeah good.
Speaker 5 (05:32):
It provides groceries, but also the volunteers assist with shopping,
bagging groceries. They engage children with activities, and they also
have counseling, nutrition, education, and financial planning for these as well.
The first store aids over a thousand individuals, so they're
hoping to double that with the second. Great post Malone
dominating the country music world with his new album f
(05:53):
one trillion. But he just broke another really impressive record.
According to Billboard, Posty is the first person in music
history to have a number one on the Top Country
Album chart, a number one on the Top Rap Album
Art chart, Oh wow, and the number one on the
Top Rock and Alternative chart.
Speaker 1 (06:13):
That's insane. And he's the first one in music history.
Speaker 4 (06:16):
Well, he's had three.
Speaker 5 (06:17):
Rap albums that came out Stony Beer Bongs and Mentley's
and Hollywood's Bleeding, and then he had the number one
rock and alternative album with Austin and now the number
one country album this week, brill.
Speaker 4 (06:28):
What's he gonna do next? Classical Baby?
Speaker 5 (06:32):
And Jordan Davis was recently asked what it's like touring
during football season and He had a great answer if
you didn't know, Jordan is an LSU graduate and he's
playing the golf Coast champ coming up. A football super fan,
but he's really excited to tour out West because he
doesn't have to choose between doing a show and watching football.
Speaker 4 (06:50):
Out West football comes on earlier.
Speaker 3 (06:53):
I've already looked at kickoffs. I've already told my band
guys that I do not want to be informed of
the scores or kept up to date that all games
would be recorded. It looks like we're gonna be able
to get to halfway into the fourth quarter before showtime.
So maybe there might be a few days where there's
some technical stuff that we need to bump the show
(07:14):
back fifteen minutes.
Speaker 5 (07:16):
Really, really, he's gonna make the fans wait so he
can finish watching the football.
Speaker 1 (07:20):
Ball was a big deal. Listen, Jones would not come
off the bus and even start the Jones Show unless
Tennessee was off. He was gonna watch Tennessee play. I mean,
that's just the way Jones rolled.
Speaker 4 (07:30):
I knew I liked him.
Speaker 1 (07:31):
Oh yeah, absolutely, more country, more fun. It's ninety two
five dou wpap, don't go anywhere, turn it out.
Speaker 7 (07:38):
Turn on the rainio, doctor Sheen and tests in the morning.
Speaker 2 (07:43):
Then music good.
Speaker 1 (07:45):
On ninety two five WPAP, welcome back. It's doctor shaneon
Tests in the morning. And about that time, real quick,
real quick, job that joke, we got it for you.
We got to do a dad joke. Come on that job.
All right, here we go, real quick, put me, put
me almost and I want a good one. I mean
a good one this morning. That get with it.
Speaker 2 (08:05):
Whatever you do in life, I always give one hundred percent.
Speaker 7 (08:08):
Less is given blood.
Speaker 4 (08:13):
Okay, I got I like that one.
Speaker 1 (08:15):
Doctor shaded Tests in the morning. We'll get to five
random faction. Just a bit to the phones, I said,
you know, even what we're talking about, I don't care
if it's every day. We're talking about recipes, we're talking
about country music. The phones ring in the studio. We
cannot thank you all enough for all the good morning
phone calls. We love it.
Speaker 5 (08:29):
It just puts us in such a good mood because
usually we just sit here in this room and four
walls and look at each other and talk to each other.
Speaker 4 (08:34):
So it's nice to know there's somebody out there.
Speaker 1 (08:36):
Hello wolves, Hello walls. All right, real quick to the phones,
I was asking about traffic. How we're looking out there.
We do have some backups PAP, Good morning, hikes, Hey,
good morning.
Speaker 8 (08:44):
I was waiting to tell you guys, what's a commercial
to call you guys?
Speaker 2 (08:48):
So traffic is backed up, going towards Kindle, going towards
like Mescobe.
Speaker 4 (08:54):
Sports, Saint Joe. I've heard that.
Speaker 5 (08:56):
I've heard there's been lots of backline getting into the base.
Speaker 8 (09:00):
Yes, I hate it and all the construction.
Speaker 2 (09:02):
I'm glad that they're rebuilding, I mean, but going through
their sucks every.
Speaker 1 (09:06):
Morning there, bless your heart, thank you so much. The
iHeart Country Minute is going to be replayed at ninety
m this morning. We'll go ahead in the nine o'clock
hour and give you those headlines and country music. But
now Tess has the five. If you're ready, hit a
girl's time for Tess's five random facts on ninety two
to five WPAP brought you by Jerry Piblist Jerry Piblos,
(09:28):
Electric Will of Jerry, Miss Doris Pam. They're all the whole.
Speaker 5 (09:31):
Crew, and they not only can take care of everything
in your house, but they can do commercial projects too.
So if you own a business and have something on
a larger scale. Don't be afraid to give them a call.
Speaker 8 (09:39):
Over five.
Speaker 5 (09:41):
We all know about Central Park in New York City,
But did you know that Vancouver has an urban park
that is about one fifth larger than Central Park.
Speaker 4 (09:48):
It's called Stanley Park.
Speaker 5 (09:49):
Did not know they have a really thriving gray squirrel population.
Did you know that all of the gray squirrels there
are descendants of eight pairs of gray squirrels that Vancouver
god is a gift from New York City Central Park
in nineteen oh nine.
Speaker 1 (10:03):
I did not know that.
Speaker 4 (10:04):
It's like, hey, congrats on your park. Here's eight squirrel
here's eight squirrels, here's a squirrel.
Speaker 5 (10:08):
Yeah, we're talking about football being back. But did you
know in thirty years, the last thirty years, there have
only been three times where an NFL punt went negative yards?
Speaker 1 (10:18):
Oh yeah, I can see that.
Speaker 5 (10:19):
The last time it happened was in twenty twenty two.
The Miami Dolphins kicker Thomas Morstead had a disaster of
a kick. He punted it into his teammate's backside and
then it shot backwards and went out the end zone
for his safety, giving the other team, the Buffalo.
Speaker 4 (10:33):
Bills, a safety. He punted it into his teammates rear
in and his booty.
Speaker 1 (10:37):
It was a booty punt, that's what I won.
Speaker 5 (10:39):
Have you heard of violins made by Antonio Strata, Yes,
the most expensive in the worlds.
Speaker 1 (10:47):
That's huge.
Speaker 5 (10:48):
I mean they're known for their violins and cellos and strength.
But they also made a very small number of guitars Stratavarius.
Speaker 1 (10:55):
I didn't know.
Speaker 5 (10:56):
Yes, there's only a handful left in existence, but only
one of them is play and that's it. Only one
strativarious guitar left that's playable.
Speaker 1 (11:04):
That's correct.
Speaker 4 (11:05):
It be cool to play.
Speaker 5 (11:05):
It would be Dale Carnegie, the author of How to
Win Friends and Influence People, a very famous book, was
not connected to the famous Carnegie family.
Speaker 4 (11:15):
His last name was C. A. R and A G.
Speaker 5 (11:17):
E Y, but he changed the spelling to match the
Carnegies so that people would think that he was related
to the famous rich family.
Speaker 1 (11:24):
There you go, So we just made up a story,
kind of like Tim Walls. Just make it up.
Speaker 8 (11:28):
There.
Speaker 5 (11:29):
Cashews are the only nut that you can't buy in
its shell and its shell.
Speaker 4 (11:35):
Yeah, the cashews. The shell is actually toxic.
Speaker 1 (11:38):
I didn't realize that you.
Speaker 4 (11:39):
Can't buy a cashew in its shell.
Speaker 1 (11:42):
That's crazy.
Speaker 4 (11:43):
But Alert Bread is allergic to cashews.
Speaker 1 (11:45):
See I love them, so I do too. He can't
even eat the nut much less.
Speaker 5 (11:48):
The show we get like the mixed like nuts. Whatever
you get, I have to eat all the cashews out
of it.
Speaker 1 (11:52):
Bless you.
Speaker 4 (11:53):
I know my poor I love them. It works.
Speaker 1 (11:57):
They're telling us time. Let's take a break. We're coming
back on WPAP. Everybody, take your time. Traffic is crazy, crazy,
but we got you on WPAP for those seminoles. I
hope this is your weekend. We're pulling for you so too.
Speaker 4 (12:10):
For Boston College. That game of Monday night, a Labor.
Speaker 1 (12:13):
Day game for the Knowles fsu. I gotta try to
do it this weekend. All right, We'll see Matty two
five WPAP. Welcome back to the Doctor Shannon Test Show.
I said, there's a four year old in Israel. Went
to a family, took the whole gang to a big
museum there and the four year old is in well,
(12:35):
it was in trouble for a while, but the museum
is not going to do anything about it. It is a
four year old that shadowed a thirty five hundred year
old bronze aged jar at the Height Museum in Israel.
This is an insane story. And I can't imagine four
years old and then breaking a jar like that. Looks
like I made an OOPSI.
Speaker 7 (12:54):
What oopsy oopsie it oopsie doopsy oopsy big oops.
Speaker 1 (13:00):
Hoopy helty poopsie. I did it again. That jar, dating
back to twenty two hundred and fifteen hundred BC, used
to store olive oil and wine, and the boy's father,
Alex says, quote, my son pulled the jar slightly because
he was curious about what was inside. Yep, unquote. The
child's family has been invited back to see the restored
(13:23):
jar by the museum. The museum emphasizes public access to
the artifacts and they said they will continue displaying them
without barriers where the public can continue. It's almost like
you know here in Bay County we have the hands
on Children's Museum. This is artifacts now ancient artifacts. But
the four year old broke it. Not gonna ban the
four year old. You get to come back and see
the restored jar, huh.
Speaker 5 (13:44):
I mean kids that age are so so curious. I
mean they just they want to see it. Like Finn,
if there is a drawer that you're trying to get
into and he can't see what's.
Speaker 4 (13:52):
In the He is pulling on the drawer, he's trying
to look. Try I get it. My mamael careful.
Speaker 1 (13:57):
My mama called it piffrin. She said I could pill
for through anything.
Speaker 4 (14:00):
I'm looking.
Speaker 5 (14:01):
I just saw that the vase that's broken, that is
not just one crack that is that is lots of pieces.
Speaker 1 (14:06):
I don't know how the how the museum gets away
with artifacts like that. This is a bronze age jar.
I wonder what it was worth. Four year old, listen,
let's go to the phone. Seven six nine fourteen hundred.
Let me know, has your babies, your kid's ever broken anything?
Seven six nine fourteen hundred. Were you in a store?
What's the most expensive thing your child's ever broken? And
you go back and think about it. We'll go to
(14:27):
the phones here seven six nine fourteen hundred across the
coast worldwide eight five seven six nine fourteen hundred.
Speaker 5 (14:35):
I'm lucky because I don't have anything expensive, so if
they break it, it's.
Speaker 1 (14:39):
Like whatever they make. You're living in radio, just trying
to make it for the weekend. Nothing in my house expensive,
no sir, all right, man, let's see he was talking
about your daughter, ma'am. Go ahead, what did your daughter break? Expensive? Humph.
Speaker 2 (14:52):
He was playing her very first game with Mario Kart
against her brother and her sister who it was also
their very game Mario Kart and I had wired controllers
and she won, or she thought she won.
Speaker 1 (15:06):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (15:07):
I was in the kitchen, but she was so excited
she ran to tell me, but she didn't put the
controller down first. She had it in her hand as
she ran away from the TV and the controller and
pulling the Nintendo switch down. It was connected to the TV,
so it pulled the TV down and they were both shattered.
Speaker 1 (15:27):
And I just bought that.
Speaker 2 (15:29):
I know, you had to be like, my Crystal, why
then we have to tell your dad the TV is broken?
She just kind of looked at me, like, what do
you want me to do about it? I'm four?
Speaker 1 (15:40):
Yeah, she's four.
Speaker 4 (15:41):
Four year olds.
Speaker 1 (15:42):
I told you it's four years old.
Speaker 4 (15:44):
Sin Our Fin has a nickname, beIN the Destroyer.
Speaker 1 (15:48):
Coming back on DOUBPAP, Good Morning Northwest, Good Morning Panama City,
Doctor Shannon Test, WPAP, iHeartRadio, and nine to one in five.
Those are the three times today we're going to get
you those keywords so you can text in whaten you're
a waiting to Las Vegas.
Speaker 5 (16:03):
It's going to be such a fun trip. That's your airfare,
your hotel, your ground transportations, tickets to the show at
one thousand dollars. So you want to get in on
that if you have a chance to win.
Speaker 1 (16:10):
I don't know anybody that wouldn't want to get in
on that. That's a big, big deal. We've got three
things you need to take with you today.
Speaker 7 (16:15):
Doctor Shane and test present three things you need to
know onap.
Speaker 5 (16:21):
United Airlines flight attendants are approving a strike across the country.
Speaker 4 (16:26):
They voted to approve strike authorization.
Speaker 5 (16:28):
If they don't reach an agreement with the airline for now,
off duty flight attendants are marching on informational picket lines.
They want raises, job security and retirement benefits. In a statement,
United said that it will continue to work towards an
agreement and says a strike is not imminent. It's a
lengthy process, but this is the first time in twenty
years that flight attendants at United have approved a strike authorization,
(16:49):
so we'll see how that plays out.
Speaker 1 (16:51):
Listen the next time you're flying United and you want
to have fun on that flight. When they come around
to take your drink order, say I'll have whatever the
pilots are having. That's a lot of fun.
Speaker 4 (17:00):
I don't think that. I think that might kicked off
the flag.
Speaker 5 (17:03):
Thanks the Chicago Bears are being rescued by dude Wipes.
Speaker 4 (17:07):
We keep getting these headlines about dude wipe.
Speaker 1 (17:09):
Listen, dudewipes. He's a real deal. And I even know
there's ladies in my family that uses dudewipes. They're that popular.
Speaker 5 (17:17):
I just use baby wives because we have them for
the kids around anyway.
Speaker 1 (17:20):
For dudewives come in different colors, test camouflage, well, aren't y'all?
Speaker 4 (17:24):
I fancied.
Speaker 5 (17:25):
Apparently one of the rookies on the Chicago Bears teams
mixed it up and bought Clorox wipes instead of dude wipes,
and the teammates saw him about to clean up with
the Clorox wipe, which is not good for your skin.
I wouldn't do that to you, bum, But apparently dude
Wipes generously supplied the team with their products after that
kind of made the rounds on social media.
Speaker 1 (17:45):
I like dudewipes do and a.
Speaker 5 (17:47):
Man who calls himself the bubble Pirate, was given a
ticket for fluid littering.
Speaker 1 (17:51):
The bubble pilot, Yah, it's a pirate.
Speaker 5 (17:53):
The guys, he sounds like he's a harmless older gentleman.
His name's Sandy. He's a disabled Navy veteran, and he
was putting on a bubble making show for kids at
this park in California.
Speaker 4 (18:03):
The parents, the kids, they were all loving it.
Speaker 5 (18:05):
But a park ranger showed up and wrote Sandy a
ticket for violating the municipal code for littering.
Speaker 1 (18:10):
Oh no, with bubbles, yeah, he says.
Speaker 5 (18:13):
The ranger said that the soapy liquid was bad for
the grass, but Sandy Snackberg said that it's food grade
so it really shouldn't harm it. But the ticket man
needs a court appearance for fluid littering for bubbles.
Speaker 1 (18:24):
That's it. That's it.
Speaker 4 (18:25):
That's California for you.
Speaker 1 (18:26):
That's exactly a bubble, tiny bubbles, all right. Listen coming
up here on WPAP, weren't talking football. We've got a
football action this Labor Day weekend. We've got that for
you here on WPAP. Panama City. Don't go anywhere. Welcome back.
Doctor Shannon tests in the morning on WPAP, jumping into
(18:47):
not headline news with big Boy Scout to make you
smile and just a bit too. But I'm excited about
the Big iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas that's coming up.
Shaboozi's playing, you said, Keith Urban is.
Speaker 5 (18:57):
Going to be there, right, We've got gins to find
the Black Crows, And I mean that's just a small, little, little,
any bitty smidge of the lineup. It's two nights and
a ton of amazing performers.
Speaker 1 (19:08):
And last less absolutely here it comes down the hall.
To make a smile, and don't take him too seriously.
It is not headline news, Big boys, this.
Speaker 8 (19:16):
Is not headline news. Oasis, we'll have their first reunion
concert on July fourth, then probably break up again. On
July fifth, Travis and Jason Kelsey signed a one hundred
million dollar podcast deal. Podcasting is just like radio. Accept
a lot less work and a lot more money.
Speaker 1 (19:35):

And that's today's installment of We just Ruined Your breakfast.
Speaker 1 (19:46):
Lego bricks now use.
Speaker 8 (19:47):
Renewable plastic, but don't worry, they'll retain the sturdiness that
make parents scream when they step on one in bare feet. Yeah,
and in sports, the Pittsburgh Steelers announced that Russell Wilson
will be their starting quarterback. That's great news for teams
playing the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Speaker 7 (20:05):
This is not headline new Some Scottie with your sausage,
Some Tim with your toast, Doctor Shane and Tess in
the morning on ninety two five WPAP.
Speaker 1 (20:19):
A crustateded tests in the morning. All Right, football this weekend,
Labor Day weekend, let's jump to it. See what's happening
on the grid iron. I've got to start out by
saying FSU. Look, I'm going to say to our local fans,
last week didn't even count. It was week zero. I
know it was Ireland, but it didn't even count. I'm
gonna be pulling for FSU this weekend.
Speaker 5 (20:40):
I really hope there's a lot of pressure for them
over there for that game. So we're gonna look at
Boston College coming up this Monday, but a lot of
games in between now and then, and of course Friday
night Temple and Air Oklahoma. Oh wow, the Sooners are
number sixteen that kick off at six o'clock and a
cool thing that Oklahoma's going to be doing all season long.
Of course, that was Toby Keith's belove at school. They're
(21:00):
going to be paying tribute to him all year long.
Speaker 4 (21:02):
So they're going to be doing.
Speaker 5 (21:03):
Music and videos of him, and between the third and
fourth quarter kind of break that they do in between
those two quarters. They'll have a special video tribute to
him every single home game, so you can catch that tomorrow.
Speaker 4 (21:12):
I catch out.
Speaker 1 (21:14):
A lot of people watch watching that Tilby Keith special
this week on NBC was touching.
Speaker 5 (21:18):
Moving on to Saturday, we're looking at the very first game.
It's going to be a big one, Number one Georgia
against number fourteen.
Speaker 1 (21:23):
Clemson, Bring It Come at eleven.
Speaker 5 (21:25):
We've also got number eight Penn State against West Virginia,
Iowa Illinois State at eleven as well. My Tennessee balls
are playing Chattanooga at eleven forty five. You've got Texas.
Speaker 4 (21:36):
In at number four.
Speaker 5 (21:37):
Boss Daryl Johnson's going to be happy about his Longhorns
playing Colorado State at two thirty. Number two Ohio State
is playing Akron also at two thirty. Another big two
thirty game, the Gators playing number nineteen Miami. So go
to Florida on Florida. There, you've also got your number five,
Alabama playing WKU.
Speaker 4 (21:54):
That's going to be a bloodbath. That game is going
to be at six o'clock. Why do you have to
do that?
Speaker 5 (21:58):
I'm trying to talk here are.
Speaker 1 (22:00):
Bleeding now, I don't know. It's the Alabama. Let's listen
to the Alabama the import now let's not.
Speaker 5 (22:04):
Let's move on to Ole Missus playing Firman at six o'clock,
number twenty Texas A and m playing number seven Notre Dame.
So that's a good matchup. Also at six thirty, number
nine Michigan playing Fresno State. And then finally another big
matchup is going to be LSU in at number thirteen
playing USC their number twenty three. And that brings us
to Monday night, our number ten now Florida State playing
(22:25):
Boston College. That's Monday at Labor Day at six thirty
peop locally, that's going to be seven thirty.
Speaker 4 (22:30):
If you're watching in tallahassee.
Speaker 1 (22:32):
Break out to chip and dip baby the hot dogs
in the burg is big Dad and coming to watch
that Foo's ball. Come on, see y'all till the day.
Bring us some good news to you. What do we
have today? Huh?
Speaker 5 (22:41):
I love seeing kid heroes. There are some of my
favorite stories to share. And it happened to Monday morning
where a twelve year old girl, this actually happened in
Cape Coral, Florida, acted quickly to rescue herself and four
dogs from a fire that broke out in her house
while she was getting ready for school. Wow, she smelled smoke,
called nine one one, got the dogs to safety before
(23:02):
firefighters arrived and contained the blaze that was in the garage.
You see, the girl's mother, who was at work in time,
was in contact with her daughter through the security camera
throughout the ordeal and helped guide the tween out of
the house. You know, sometimes parents have to work and
you you know, if the kid is old enough to
take care of themselves and get them off to school,
and you know, those situations do happen. The girl was
taken to the hospital for some minor smoke inhalations. She
(23:23):
was later cleared expected to be fine. But yeah, there
was a TV in the garage that was plugged into
an extension cord and that's what started the fire. And
they lost all of their belongings due to smoke and
water damage. But I mean, they're just really grateful that
the little girl and the dogs were unharmed. So the
Cape Pearl Fire Department is taking the opportunity to remind
the public of the importance of plugging appliances and major
(23:45):
electronics directly into wall outlets or surge protectors to prevent
those accidental fires. You can't put those those big appliances
on an extension cord because that could happen. Please be
safe and be careful.
Speaker 1 (23:57):
Asking for trouble if you do that, it's good news,
good stuff. Doctor Shandon tests on WPAP were right back
to the country ninety two to five. WPAP is Doctor
Shannon test in the morning.
Speaker 5 (24:08):
You know, we're all really excited about college football being back,
but that doesn't mean all of the games are particularly exciting.
Speaker 1 (24:15):
What do you mean I'm excited.
Speaker 5 (24:16):
I'm saying there's some pretty lame matchups. Like you may
be wanting to cheer on your favorite team, but guess
like who they're playing. They're playing like basically a JB
like high school ride team. And so we decided to
let you know about some of the lame matchups for
this weekend.
Speaker 4 (24:29):
And yes, these are all real check these out?
Speaker 1 (24:32):
Oh no, no, no real games.
Speaker 8 (24:35):
Ket ready for the first big weekend weekend of ncuble
A college football with tough matchups on Saturday, like number
five Alabama versus the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers, plus number two
the Ohio State up against the Akron Zips and number
six Ole Miss hosts the Furious Furman Paladins. Test what
(25:01):
this weekend you can bet on exciting football. Let ask
yourself one question. Will they covered the spread?
Speaker 7 (25:15):
Some Scottie with your sausage, some tim with your toes.
Speaker 4 (25:23):

thunderstorms just like we saw yesterday as well, So make
