Well, Darius Rucker has finally been sentenced for that drug
arrest earlier in this year. He appeared in a Williamson County,
Tennessee courtroom yesterday and pleaded no contest to simple possession.
So they handed down a sentence of eleven months and
twenty nine days on probation. Oh yeah, so we knew
he wasn't gonna go to the slammer for this. As
part of the arrangement, the judge Taylor agreed to drop

(01:54):
two other charges for simple possession and expired registrations. So
they decided, well, they recommend the district attorney recommended that
the judge drop these charges due to rutgers good character.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
We having months in twenty nine days of probation. Oh okay,
got it, got it.

Speaker 1 (02:10):

so he said check it out new single Friday. So

(02:32):

that to him.

continues to fall.

Speaker 3 (04:22):
Yeah, it definitely is.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
But we know who has the most info on that,
the exact specifics is our friend Chris Smith from WJHD.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
Good morning, sir, how are you foul?

Speaker 5 (04:32):
Good morning? How are you all doing? Good?

Speaker 2 (04:34):
Good Listen on days like this, the guy that gives
us the weather is the most important guy. I mean,
we need to know how long is this rain going
to stick around? Chris bring us up to day.

Speaker 5 (04:43):
Well, it is taking his good old fashioned time moving
across our area. We have a new tornado watch that's
been issued that goes until one o'clock this afternoon over
northwest Florida. So right now, kind of the main line
of storms that has the capability of producing tornadoes is
moving just now into Walton County. So we still got

(05:04):
a ways to go as these storms are moving from
the west to the east. Now the individual cells are
moving more south than north, but we have a tornado
warn cell that's moving over near Chalktaw Beach. On the
north side of the Chocahatchee Bay, right along Highway twenty.
Now right now it's moving. Once it crosses Highway twenty,
that's going to move up into Eggland property there. So
there's not a lot of stuff up there, which is

(05:25):
good news. But it's just a reminder that we have
the possibility of this line moves east, you're going to
see spin ups, possible tornadoes forming, and that's going to
be something that we're going to be concerned about as
we move through the morning hours into the afternoon. In
addition to the fact that we could see obviously multiple
inches of rainfall. We've already seen a good bit, but
we have more rain on the way.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
Great update, my friend, and we will stay close to
you and of course WJHG and we can follow you
on your social media apps as well. I mean, what
platforms are you on, Chris?

Speaker 5 (05:56):
I am on Facebook, Twitter, Case, but begrudgingly Instagram. But
I am not tiktoking or or I'm not binding or
any other failed.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
You're not doing any any dances there in front of
the green screen for us, Chris Smith dance.

Speaker 5 (06:18):
If we can monetize it, then I'll do it.

Speaker 2 (06:20):
I got it. I love it. Always thinking about the company.
I love it.

Speaker 5 (06:24):
I love it.

Speaker 2 (06:25):

something else today. Doctor Shannon tests right alongside you on
WP A P. You hope you're having a good one
so far. Rain on and off throughout the weekend. Hopefully

(06:47):
before we get officially into the weekend, we'll try out
a little bit, I hope.

Speaker 3 (06:50):
So that's what Chris Smith says, so we'll hope for that.

Speaker 2 (06:53):

Speaker 2 (07:04):
Time for tesses. Five random facts on NAP.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
Phil Robertson from Duck Dynasty was the starting quarterback at
Louisiana Tech University. Now this was back in the mid
nineteen sixties, but his senior year he quit football.

Speaker 3 (07:19):
To focus on duck hunting that and making calls.

Speaker 1 (07:23):
Man, But you know what, that opened up the spot
for quarterback Terry Bradshaw, who we know now.

Speaker 3 (07:29):
Great Free Phil once told Terry, I'm going for the ducks.
You can go for the books.

Speaker 2 (07:32):
There you go, Lumbert four.

Speaker 3 (07:34):
If you listen to.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
The full version of take Me Out to the Ball Game,
there are several verses to it, but it's actually a
feminist song about a woman who says, I don't want
to go to the movies, take me to a ballgame.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
Oh, I love it. Well, I didn't know that was
the backstory though. Interesting, Okay, ball game. Bert three.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
Your brain represents only two percent of your body weight,
but it uses up to twenty percent of your body's energy,
which is more than any other organ.

Speaker 2 (08:02):
That's interesting that brain is so important.

Speaker 3 (08:03):
It really is.

Speaker 2 (08:04):
I just wish some of the folks in this building
had one.

Speaker 1 (08:06):
Number two.

Speaker 3 (08:08):
Michelle Kwan.

Speaker 1 (08:09):
I used to love watching her figure skate growing up,
and she is one of the most decorated figure skaters
in US history. But you know what she's doing now.
She is the US ambassador to Belize.

Speaker 2 (08:19):
Oh, Michelle Kwan, that is a huge, huge role.

Speaker 3 (08:23):
What helium does not increase the pitch of your voice?

Speaker 2 (08:29):
Yeah, when we do that, you know your last birthday party.

Speaker 1 (08:31):
We did that, Shane Kerry relationship monks. Yeah no, but
it doesn't change the pitch of your voice. It just
amplifies the higher pitched frequencies in your voice that are
already there.

Speaker 3 (08:41):
So we had it in us all along.

Speaker 2 (08:43):
It's there, all along, it's all if you got it
all along, girl, don't worry about it. Don't worry about
doctor Shennon Test coming back on doublepa P. Don't go anywhere.
We're just getting warmed up and into the weekend. You
got this, you got this. Welcome back to the Doctor
Shantan Test. Shall we have three things you need to
know to get you through the workday today? Tests. Are
you ready? I'm ready, it's just too let's have it go.

in the news because she is at the top of
the breaking world rankings despite her Olympic performance.

based on top performances excluding Olympic events, and that's why Raygun.

Speaker 1 (09:40):
Twenty three point nine million viewers watched Tom Brady's debut
as an NFL analyst on Fox Sports.

Speaker 2 (09:45):
I thought he did a great job.

Speaker 1 (09:46):
Some people got some mixed reviews about it, though. They
said he made a couple of awkward comments. But it
was his first time.

Speaker 2 (09:52):
So that about in all people, you know, eating dogs
and cats. That comment kind of threw me off. I
don't know what they.

Speaker 3 (10:00):
Speaking of that.

Speaker 1 (10:01):
The presidential debate pulled in sixty seven million viewers.

Speaker 2 (10:04):
I felt like everybody watched everybody.

Speaker 1 (10:06):
What The initial viewership numbers show that ratings swored for
that first debate between Vice President Harris and former President Trump.
Media Analytics compared Nielsen reports more than sixty seven million
people watched it across four major networks four cable news channels.
In comparison, by the way, only fifty one million people
tuned in for that June debate between Trump and President Byte.

(10:26):

in traffic, we'd play a little game and you can
play along in your car. See if you can beat
doctor Shane. I'm going to see if I can try
to stump him on a little game of think fast
bank fast.

Speaker 2 (10:55):
Huh, and tell me how to play. How do you
want to play this?

Speaker 1 (10:57):
So I'm gonna say, name some thing that makes a
certain sound, and then I'll tell you what letter it
starts with.

Speaker 2 (11:04):
So I have to think about sounds. Something that makes
a certain sound, and what letter You're gonna give you
the letter it starts with.

Speaker 3 (11:09):
Like something that rattles, that starts with.

Speaker 2 (11:13):
An r uh, that rattles a.

Speaker 3 (11:19):
Rattle, maybe rattle a rattlesnake.

Speaker 2 (11:21):

Speaker 3 (11:24):
Something rattles starts with an you could say rattlesnake. That's
just an example.

Speaker 2 (11:27):
All right, all right, let's see. I don't know how
good i'll do. Are you ready, I'm reading, I'm ready.

Speaker 1 (11:32):
This one should be easy, alright. You gotta think fast.
Something that whistles that starts with a T. Train okay,
Something that cries that starts.

Speaker 3 (11:43):
With a bee?

Speaker 2 (11:44):
Maybe?

Speaker 1 (11:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (11:45):
See something that rings that starts with a P.

Speaker 2 (11:48):
Bone nice.

Speaker 3 (11:49):
Something that pops that starts with a be.

Speaker 2 (11:52):
It starts with a b. Something that pops it starts
with a bee. A bubblegum good good, I.

Speaker 1 (11:59):
Was thinking balloon very the bubblegums good to you. Something
that creaks, starting with D.

Speaker 2 (12:06):
